Map: RPD will be killswitched again, I can feel it.
Killer: I'm gonna assume that the Pig video tape addon will get killswitched
Survivor: Babysitter/Guardian will have a bug that gives survivors permanent haste somehow, meaning this perk will get kill switched
Yeah I can see the pig trap addon will be deemed OP by casuals.

First kill switch? Dead Dawg or RPD. They have proven to be the most unstable maps in the game.
The addons or their basekit🤔

You really think so? It will be a money maker.

Depends on the killer. 1-2 on most of them, usually pop, sometimes ruin if it's all I have, often surge or oppression on killers who I don't want to waste time kicking gens on. I find a lot of killer players invest too much in gen slowing perks then get caught in long chases which negates most of their effects. I'd rather use a combination of slowing perks with chase boosts like enduring + spirit fury to get the most time value.
I loathe corrupt and I will never run it unless I specifically have a tome challenge to do so.
The only killer I go absolutely all out on slow is Plague. I run BBQ, Pop, Thana and Dying Light. It means they're constantly fighting into a crippling slow from thana which gets worse with every non-obsession hook. The drawback of dying light is negated by broken, and I don't feel the need for many chase perks when her chases are generally half the length of other killers, and corrupt purge can lower that further.
Thanks for the plague build idea😇

@Adjatha said:
Always 1, sometimes 2.
Kicking generators is a joke and the slowdown that comes from the core gameplay loop of chase-down-hook-rescue-heal only actually works if you can get through the "chase" phase quickly. If you're running after somebody for 60-180 seconds, you've lost 2-3 gens by your first hook.
Survivors doing 40%-60% of their objectives by the time I've done 8% of mine is a pretty good indication something in the game isn't working. Unfortunately, slowdown perks are the only band-aids available, so they're pretty much mandatory.
That is the sad reality since normal kicking of the gen doesn't really do anything and gen tapping is still a thing☹

Yes
No for killers (individual killer mmr should be 50 percent of main killer mmr).
Yes for survivor (it is chill mode for a reason)

Very rarely, the most I will usually do is run Ruin on Legion if I'm just having a particularly bad day...I always prefer information and chase perks over slowdown perks.
Which perks do you find help you out the best with legion?😊

@[Deleted User] said:
Depends on the killer. You can stack slowdowns on meta killers and lose nothing in chase. It's why they're strong. I run fewer slowdowns on M1 killers because they lack pressure and slowdowns do nothing if you don't have pressure.
What chase perks do you use? Usually with my extra slot I feel stbfl works pretty well.
-
@LinkToReality said:
Depends on the killer, but when I do it's usually Pop or Ruin or both. I don't have Corrupt so can't run that.
Surge or Erupt can be good too, I prefer Erupt of the two and sometime combo it with Pop to create an extra evil pop.
What I worry about pop is getting to a gen in time because of cooldown...also depends if you get that hook in time to pressure
-
@EvilJoshy said:
At least 1. Usually pop because it has no totem attached to it. I feel it rewards me for playing well. Ruin can get cleansed. Adding undying just means they need to cleanse it twice. I dont like having half my loadout determined for me. I use corrupt on certain killers like my trapper but once its gone i need to be hooking people fast.
What do you use for your other two trapper perks?😊
Even if they clean ruin and undying it buys me some extra time to place traps near a 3 gen area.
-
@Kalinikta said:
Corrupt Intervention and Pop is a staple for most of my killers, I prefer it over Ruin for stability reasons.
Sometimes I try other slowdowns like anti healing on some killers or the occasional devour hope builds, but they are very much a hit or miss.
Some type of slowdown is just a must.
I mean devour hope is technically a slowdown perk if you get enough hooks😇
-
@botrax said:
Depend the killer i play but most of the time i will go ruin/pop/corrupt/thrilling tremor only because you need something to slow the game and whitout any slowdown the game is over to fast unless you 1hook everyone in the first 2 minute of the match.
I would use bbq but i already have all the perk i want on my main killer and she dont have many good addon so i dont really care about them
Yeah I equip bbq because I want enough BP for addons no matter which killer I play otherwise I would bring a more useful perk🤣

PS4 then moved to PS5 the moment it was released and was forced to play PC players because they seperated PS4 and PS5 from queuing together due to performance difference. PS5 was just out so matchmaking didn't go anywhere and i just gave up eventually.
That sucks...they got you to upgrade then shafted you.☹

Probably a few months. It got boring being a new survivor facing people with thousands of hours experience. It was tedious to learn the maps and tiles when every chase lasted 20-30 seconds and I got maybe 2 or 3 chases per match, amounting to let’s say 1 min 30 seconds practice per game.
Came back for SBMM and things have greatly improved.
Yeah sbmm is a survivors paradise right now 😊

I was a killer main. I was super good at predicting their moves and doing mind games to get them to mess up a loop or 3 gen themselves.
I couldn't take the toxicity anymore. Games was being held hostage and it became so unenjoyable.
Then they released window blocks and EGC so I came back. I played one killer match and switched to survivor. I was a survivor up until Pinhead came out. I started playing killer again because Pinhead is a really fun and I got tired of being a solo survivor going against the killer and my own team.
Honestly, switching roles is a better option than quitting again. I put way too much time and money into the game to just walk away.
Was pinhead the only killer you played since you came back?😇
You just have to find fun where you can with this game...this next patch is going to be game breaking in one way or another🤔

This might discourage people who play with newbies.
Although.. Maybe it could also be an average of everyone's MMR, times a multiplier to the MMR.
2 Survivors is 1.2x, 3 Survivors, 1.4x, and 4 survivors, 1.6x.
Say your MMR is 1500 on your survivor and your teammate is 750.
That means your average MMR is 1125 x 1.2, or 1350.
Same with four survivors.
If a 4-man has 1900, 1500, 1200, 900.
Instead of 1375 which is what it is averaged, it would be 2200.
Thank you for doing the math😇
-
@NoOneKnowsNova said:
Instead of averaging the groups MMR, it should take the MMR of the highest ranked player and use that for all survivors.
It would help with smurfs accounts.

I think a few factors should be considered when the game matches players together.
- Hours played. Someone with 3-25 hours should be matched with or against anyone with 100 or more hours. There should be an hours played bracket for every set amount of hours that players have played.
- The amount of inactivity during a match should be used when matching players. Does the player know how valuable time is? Are they spending it wisely by working on gens, searching chests and cleansing totems, body block, and sabo hooks a few feet from the killer or do they constantly hide behind rocks and avoid doing anything?
- Chase duration. Does the survivor go down in 5 seconds or can they at least buy their teammates 30 seconds or more? While this should apply for killers, its more difficult to do for them since it's the survivors who are usually in control of chases if they know what they're doing and not screw up.
- The amount of successful team(2 or more people) escapes, with the consideration of how much they contributed during a match, should also be another factor. Did they help with the objectives and were they able to help their team succeed or were they the sole winner because they just hid?
There are other things but I got new glasses since my old ones broke, and they're giving me a headache during the adjusting phase, so my brain is mush and I can't think of anything else.
Those are excellent points 😇.
I am surprised hours aren't taken into consideration (maybe on individual killer sbmm it would be to much of a hassle coding it?)🤔

Gen hostage doctor
not a chill build not a sweat build but not a meme build
more like a toxic build i would say you do what i like to call "inducing freddy syndrome"
making the games take from 10 minutes to about a few hours
games go until i get bored of kicking gens endlessly or the survivors dc
just run around with overcharge unnerving pressence distressing and whisperers and kick gens and they can't finish them because they always lose progress
they can't tap the gens either because of overcharge
keep shocking them and make sure to bring addons iridescent queen and very rare calm
iri queen prevents coop repairing and calm makes you have a bigger terror radious
shock them into tier 3 as much as possible to prevent them from doing gens and use whisperers to know when to use static blast
that's how i play killer
for survivor i play claudette with sabotaging builds and other meme builds
i also run perks ment to help my team
i tend to use my favorite perk no mither to make the game harder
I use the darkest of the dark cosmetic's
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/NPRE0YW8YIES/my-claudette-png.png
bloody skinny jeans, wild violet jacket, high pitched dreads. plus if you bring quick and quiet, distortion, iron will, and urban evasion on the swamp with murky regenent makes it impossible to be found. if only the moon offerings existed then i would be even harder to spot. but yeah stealth builds are also fun
that's how i play dbd
That doc build is so cruel 😂

I really need to let this out. So lately in my personal life I’ve been feeling emotionally down and have been wanting to give up on life. It’s causing me to come here and act toxic towards others which is something I regret. It’s just been rough for me as a lot of things that I’ve loved just don’t seem to exist anymore and there’s too many things overwhelming me to the point where I don’t know what to do. I also feel super lonely every single day which I really have a hard time dealing with. Sometimes I just sit and wonder if I’m actually dealing with some kind of depression or not.
Can anyone please give me some advice on how I can find happiness in my life?
I hope you are feeling better.
Make sure to take some time during your day to do something that makes you happy (like walking your dog) to help clear your mind.
If you feel overwhelmed, prioritize what needs to be dealt with and then relax before dealing with the next problem.
Be happy for you and your loved ones...never forget you are important to someone in your life.
Try to smile...it will get better😇

Maybe with the new addon on patch but I feel boon totems need to be nerfed some.

I play both survivor and killer. Survivor when I'm looking for more relaxed gameplay, and killer when I feel like playing something more intense. I plan on getting to Iridescent I grade on both survivor and killer (right now I'm on 3 for the both of them). Even if there's tough games on my killer side, I always look forward to learning new kinds of mindgames and using harder matches as a learning experience :) I haven't played with my SWF for a while — so I'm hoping to get something set up soon with them.
Good job and good luck hitting iridescent 1😇

5. I think about quitting the game again
6. I remember that I don't feel like playing anything else right now
7. I choose the killer I assume might be the least painful experience that day
8. I queue the next match with a tear rolling down my cheek
9. I dominate my match with ease
10. I think to myself man today 'aint a bad day to play dbd huh?
11. I get stomped in the next match with seemingly zero chance of winning
(repeat steps 3 to 11 for about 3 hours)
12. I close the game while pretending to myself that I had fun playing
13. I glance over some of the new hate comments from unhappy survivors on my profile calling me all sorts of hurtful things
14. I go on the dead by daylight forums to check out what's being talked about today.

Welcome to the (non)existent fog experience 🙃 do you ever play survivor?

@NoOneKnowsNova said:
I play killer mainly, recently I've played a lot of Billy and Pinhead although I want to start maining Doc and trying out Hag as MMR is in effect.
When playing killer I usually give it my all, although I do give survivors a free escape if they play well or if they were nice.
From time to time I also play survivor, and usually I play as Jake with Open Handed, Bond, Borrowed Time and WGLF.
When playing survivor I meme around a bit, especially if the killer is doing the same. Usually this involves pointing at them when they clearly already see me, and shaking myself left and right while I'm in the dying state (which fills me with glee if they shake their head back).
I like it when a killer spins if I am crawling like a snake🤣.
Doc is fun and easier to meme with than hag.

I play with whatever type of builds which is non meta combos.
Is there a reason you wont play solo?😇

I think balance should be around chase time. survivors with statistically longer chases should be matched with killers who have statistically shorter chases, with the ideal chase time being about 30 seconds. that would have 12 chases making up a 10 minute match. the only really symmetrical part of this game is killer time efficiency vs survivor ability to waste killer time, so why would you balance around any other metric?
What happens if the killer is a hag instahits or trapper where the survivor runs into a pre placed trap? Short chase but wouldn't call trapper OP.

Wow Killers are so fraking entitled.
Did you even think about this before you typed it. You have 4 players one 1 side and 1 player on the other side in a competitive game. Do you not think that 4 human beings probably don't want to play a competitive game where the game is literally stacked against them so hard that it's 3 loses to ever 1 win.
Welcome to killer mmr vs swf. Killers are expected to be stomped repeatedly after getting a couple of kills.
Last I checked the person who plays killer is also a human being.

I hear you. I've gotten a lot of toxic survivors too. No likes being a team player and when the toxic survivor gets bested, they get real salty.
Personally, I don't care about getting any kills in a match. I play killer to see how it looks from their perspective and I can honestly say both sides can be extremely toxic and entitled.
I had a match where I hooked a survivor as The Legion in the basement and literally had one of the survivors, a Claudette, talk trash about me camping the hooked survivor. It was honesty their teammates fault since they immediately came to the basement when I only just hooked a Jill down there and saw them both there. So I didnt really see the point I'm leaving when I have to potential hooks there at the same time.
I mean leaving 2 hooked survivors without proximity camping would be ridiculous.
There is no reason to leave.

SBMM is casual mode. It was implemented to give everyone but the top 1% a fighting chance. There's nothing fun about your game being predetermined by matching you with opponents you don't stand a chance against. It's casual and lower skilled players who are reaping the benefits of SBMM.
What's fun about knowing if you win a couple of matches you will get stomped in the following matches after that?😅

And how do u expect this casual mode work? Same as before, 1h new player vs 10k hours killer because it was all random?
Casuals should understand that if u want to have fun, git gut. If u refuse to improve it's ok, but don't expect everyone else do same. U can't just come to PvP game and expect other side intentionally throw a game for u every time u want.
I don't feel any bad about players who drop their MMR cause they are going to 4K babies.
I mean a casual mode is to chill and just have fun right? No pips or depip to worry about.

The Devs gave this game an identity crisis. It seems as though they want it to be a horror game, a competitive game, a "party game", and every other kind of game that they can label it as. I've constantly advocated for a casual mode for a while now, and they said they havent done it because it would make the queue times longer. I think the reason they haven't done so is because it would show how many people don't care about the ranked/competitive aspect of the game, and it would show how pointless it was to try and push the game in that direction.
Exactly...I mean almost every other pvp games has multiple modes...at least a practice mode, a casual mode,and a rank mode.
I mean cool you made it fair for survivors but what about your other loyal paying customers 🤔

@GoodBoyKaru said:
Hey, I actually fit this one!
Okay so basically, I used to be a survivor main (was garbage at it too). I was, like, brand new, and I'd play with my friend + her (at the time) boyfriend. By the time we stopped playing I'd met some others who were willing to play with me and my network of friends just kinda spiraled out from there, and it was (usually) fun! Wasn't great being camped or tunneled, but being a survivor main formed my code of honour that I try to play by as killer whenever possible.
But, eventually I do try killer. Wraith first, then Freddy- started playing November 2017, must've started killer around May 2018 if I was to guess? It was pretty fun, actually; I can even remember the build I got to rank 1 with lol (EndFury, Ruin, BBQ, old Freddy, using both Block add-ons. It was Coal Tower, vs a Legacy Meg). So that began my transition to a more 50/50 player, though it was still skewed to survivor, with around 70:30 s:k. Over time this did slowly migrate to a more 40:60 s:k ratio though.
After a couple of years- this is like February 2020 time now I wanna say, though it could've been December 2019- survivor starts to get really, really stale. Killers played the same builds, characters, and ways, and my teammates were so unbelievably dogshit it was unreal. No, Claudette, that bush is not a generator, and no, Meg, don't walk to save me on the hook across all of Mother's ######### Dwelling (I was rank 1 btw :') ). So, I took a break from the game, around June 2020 time, because it was just so frustrating, and when I came back, I was having some fun again. As killer, of course, which immidiately evaporated as soon as I played survivor. So off I go for another couple of days, and when I come back I make sure to not touch survivor for a week, and solo for 2. It works, and it's great.
So, basically, if I'd kept playing SWF it probably would've have happened. Solo survivor pushed me to becoming a killer main, because oh my ######### it's such a ######### experience.
Glad you are still having fun with the game and an extra thanks for your hard work on the new patch update change thread you made😇😇😇😇😇😇😇.
I gifted gamepass ultimate to one of my friends since he was curious about playing dbd (he is a huge Myers fan). He played and had a blast. He played one round of survivor and said it was boring and went back to killer😂
To quote him "I am not playing the game to play unknowns. I am playing to play the killer". If only he new the business model for this game🤣

Are you also taking the same time to curse the totem in a live match, as they do to bless? From what I understand, boon totems are much louder than hexes too. And their effects aren’t map-wide.
The thing is boon totems have infinite uses as long as the dull totem is up.
Hexes are a one time thing so the killer should not take as long setting them up.
