I SAW the killer from the hook = I was camped.
-
No. I make it a point NEVER to dodge/DC whatever - I'll have a hard time getting better in those situations then.

Back in my day, kids actually learned how to play their games. Nowadays they just ######### and moan about everything and before the very end they will just abandon it for the next best thing they can cry about.
This.

Must have lost to this boring build.
-
Thanks for the posts...we need more like these!
-
I'm to the point where I just roll right past. I DO still type "GG" on occasion - but unfortunately I don't wait for responses anymore. The bad outweigh the good. MOST of the time nothing is said which is probably how it should be..no endgame chat.

I'm glad I haven't been the only one who's noticed every killer trying their absolute hardest.
Maybe it'll slow down once it's been a few days into the event.
When people have an issue with players 'trying their hardest'.
Sorry, but yikes.

Not trying to be mean here, but, if Ruin is your only motivation to play.....

The way I always saw it is easy.
I kill who I see.
That's very simple I don't camp and I don't tunnel I walk around and hunt if I patrol gens and I stumble over you who is just recently unhooked it's bad luck. If I search for a survivor and come to an recent unhook I will follow one of the two scartchmarks I see if I happen to find the unhooked guy it's again just bad luck.
I will not leave a chase to switch to some one I know is dead on hook but if you stumble around in a dead zone or you want to block me with bt I will get you and I think that's a fair approach to the game.
Only thing that is alway tough for me is when people rush to unhook and don't let me leave because most of the times it's that one guy I already gave up on chasing because he just is good at it and I will lose so much time but for me that is just a bad team mate move and you should blame him
End game gets rid of every rule I give myself and camping and tunneling is fair game
"I kill who I see." Well said! Personally, I think tunneling is a non-existent term made by survivors who can't loop. And if you are brave enough to unhook in front of me, well, like it or not there are consequences.

I’d be down for a classic monster killer like a vampire or werewolf. 🙂
- Vampire who can briefly fly as a swarm of bats and daze survivors with a hypnotic gaze
- Werewolf with a lunge (ala Demo) and the ability to track the neareat survivors by focussing on scent or killer instinct
- Mummy who is a hulking juggernaut capable of easily smashing walls and pallets and that maybe can summon up sand to blind survivors or curses them. (A speed 110% killer that can just instant break pallets and walls could be kind of different. I don’t know how good they’d be overall because of poor map mobility but with innate instant breaks they’d be slow but steady in chases.)
- Medusa who passively puts negative conditions on survivors who look at her. (So the survivors want to actively not look at her when they’re doing gens or running away, etc.)
Always thought a Medusa would be interesting - with "look at her' penalties!

I would argue that flashlight lobbies are often the easiest. Flashlights have easy counterplay, and if the whole team is going to be chasing flashlight saves, they're wasting time. I'd much rather see four flashlights than medkits or toolboxes.
I think a lot of people don't care for the last second switching because it feels cheap misdirection.
Admittedly - throwing Lightborne on when you see clicky clicky is both fun and easy!

@eloise said:
When the survivor change at the last second I leave because I saw a flashlight or other that mean for me toxic survivor
You look for the easiest lobbies..got it.

Great post, and I agree. Much fun is being had right now here!!
-
Forums have been helpful for me - my questions have mostly been answered.
The other reason: To see the posts on how the game is survivor-sided one day and then killer-sided posts the next. Great fun!

Killer/Map combos, yes.

Totems in general need to be better hidden, I think. But, once the locations are learned/memorized we are right back here, no?
-
I probably don't have as many hours in the game as most others (500), so I am having fun no matter what side I play. Who knows as this moves along but today I had a nice 3K with Wraith and STILL got a teabag from the last survivor as they found the hatch..LOL. And it didn't bother me, I laughed and moved on. We shall see how my view of the 'fun' factor changes as my hours go up.
-
I don't see why the other survivors should actually know where the boons are - make them find it on their own perhaps?
-
I don't have a favorite or preferred. I literally roll some dice and let them decide - it's all random. I will then play 3 games with each and then reroll. So far, I have enjoyed doing it this way and it keeps the variety fresh. Survivor does SEEM more relaxing - but I am still fairly new to the game.
-
I still love Trapper. My favorite sound in the entire game just might be a trap springing shut on someone!
-
This.
-
Same.
-
Maybe someone like Cyclops or even Medusa..where you could possibly freeze or slow down if you look her direction too long....the Kraken...among others.

@Yatol said:
sorry but your post should have been titled, "survivors shoudnt unhook infront of the killer", Killers who play chill will focus the unhooker but serious killer will shut down the mistake your teammates did by unhooking you too close to them.
Whether a killer tunnels or not is not an indication that they suck. what will is whether it was the right move or not. I get tunneled a lot from time to time and I can tell if it was strategic or bad judgment.
>I couldn't even loop him, didn't have a chance to get into a chase. He downed me as soon as I was done with the unhooked animation. All I did was stare at the screen and hit the struggle skill checks on hook, all game.Unfortunately that means he made the right choice.
Thank you! As a killer, we are not you friends. We are there to kill. Sometimes I go after the 'unhooker', sometimes I stick the hooked one right back up there if I need to get one out of the game quickly. All depends on the flow of the game as to whether or not to tunnel, camp etc. I never do it to be 'toxic' or whatever you want to call it - whichever way wins the game.

I just want a female killer who can either use ice powers or fire powers. I WANT TO SET THINGS ON FIRE OR FREEZE THEM OKAY?
Kind of similar to what I'd like to see. A "Medusa"-type Killer. If you look in her direction too long you slow down considerably or maybe even stop at times...etc.
She could release her snakes from her head to do whatever....

@GeneralV said:
I would rework Freddy to get him as close to his on-release power as possible.
My idea is this:
Power: Dream Demon
Pull survivors into the Dream World
-Survivors who are awake do not see The Nightmare.
-Once targeted by The Nightmare’s power, survivors enter the Dream Transition for 7 seconds.
-The Nightmare’s Movement Speed Penalty for putting a survivor into the Dream Transition lasts for 1 second.
-During the Dream Transition Survivors can see The Nightmare intermittently and they suffer from the Incapacitated status effect.
-When the Dream Transition Lapse, the Survivor is pulled into the Dream World.
Once in the Dream World:
-Survivor’s auras are revealed to The Nightmare when they are outside of his terror radius.
-Survivors suffer an action speed penalty of 40%.
-To exit the Dream World, Survivors can find non-sleeping Survivors to perform a wake up action.
-Failed Generator Skill Checks can also wake up.
-Hooked Survivors wake up.
Special Ability: Dream Projection
-Teleport to a Generator in view. Releasing the button early will cancel the action.
-Survivors cannot interact with the targeted Generator.
-For each Survivor in the Dream World, the cool-down of using Dream Projection is reduced by stack-able 20%.
“You have nothing to worry about. This won’t hurt one… little… bit.” -Freddy Krueger
Lots of work..........

100% agree that the game is more fun when the odds are against you but again NOED isn't the solution to this
Fair point!

I don't want them to remove it. Killers deserve this kind of lethality.
If this is sarcasm then the joke's on me but - you are right. The game SHOULD be killer-sided. Escaping is much more satisfying when it's tilted against you, not survivor-sided. I've seen numerous posts claiming it to be both either or (which is fun to read), but I want it to be difficult to survive. That's me!
-
@Mooks said:
Yes. It may reveal you when hiding as survivor in bushes etc (imagine on Dead Dawg Saloon a crown levitating over a bush lol)
and it makes stealth killers more visible as well as prevent you from mindgaming certain loops.
LOL, Dead Dawg Saloon image cracking me up....

I'm a simple killer. "Me see survivor me kill" that's all.
Yep! Survivors...killers are not your friend.
-
You know what helps me the most - just watching gameplay videos. Style of play, use of perks etc gets kind of engrained in memory after a bit.
MY biggest issue - I'm STILL not coordinated enough to use the camera to 'look behind' with mouse/keyboard..lol. That's my practice lately.

Also the new MMR system just released few days ago. Give it some time before it finds more fair games for you and every killer had their own separate MMR.
That would require patience by many players......LOL

It was actually changed, the whole lullaby on the survivor's perspective. She sings for 5+ minutes turning from sad to happy, and then repeat. I love it so much ❤️😍💙

Has the sensitivity been adjusted yet as 100% still doesn't feel high enough..?
Maybe the "sensitivity" of many posters who complain that things should be nerfed or built up because they lost- and not a legitimate reason- is 100%...LOL. See what I did there.
If you are referring to mouse/controller sensitivity, I just use default and it feels fine so far.

Killers dodge lobbies too. Too many survivors load in at once? Dodge. See a survivor you don't like? Dodge. See a couple items? Dodge.
Yep. It works both ways and would even out over time. Just play and have fun for TLOG. I don't know why this bugs me so much..LOL

The thing you want people to "overcome" is just a straight up 66% reduction of the Killer's objective.
Okay, I'm not sure which offering you are referring to - I'm sure there is one - but doesn't my point still stand?
So the killer just made it easier on himself? Time to quit?
I just don't understand NOT playing because it's tilted one side that game.
So, the Killer DC's because he is a trapper and the game just went indoors because of an offer. That's a GOOD reason? Same both ways eventually.
-
Imagine that.
"Uh-oh, a tough obstacle. I'm outta here."
DC babies...boo-hoo. How can you eventually overcome something unless you face it a few times more?
-
@DelsKibara said:
Honestly if they just made it so only the person who made the offering could see it (that includes Survivors), it would make it so much easier for me as a Survivor.
Because my teammates tend to DC the moment they see a mori.
Agreed! If a lot of people DC because they are about to have something potentially 'tough' to deal with, then make ALL offerings invisible.
Poor babies......
