Dont play a horror game if you get scared of things like vomit. I have a severe fear of spiders but you dont see me banging on Capcoms door for the giant spiders in Resident Evil

The hitbox itself is working as intended. If you're in range, you get hit. The thing you're noticing is latency. This is something that can't necessarily be fixed, there will always be a delay between you and the killer. This is just an unfortunate fact of online games. Lithe can make it seem worse than it actually is since you move so quickly after vaulting, but on the killer's end, you still appeared to be within range.
Even on the killers screen ive hit survivors when I definitely shouldn't have. Make the hitboxes smaller if you really have too but lets be honest a killer shouldn't be able to hit the very edge of the pallet and it count as a hit when Im on the other side.

Because not everything can be the best, and I'd also hazard to say that not everything should be the best. Even if Head On was really powerful, you'd still be bound to the placement of lockers. Some maps (like Shelter Woods) do not have many opportunities to use Head On in the first place. But in the end, is it better to make it really good and annoying, or leave it where it is, where nobody can get upset by it?
For what it's worth, I don't really think it's weak. It's a decent perk, but if you're just trying as hard as possible to win, there are more practical options.
I mean, you yourself in your original comment didn't say you even thought it was a good perk and implied heavily it was the worst exhaustion perk. Just saying if you truly felt as if it was THAT terrible then why leave it as is?
-
Ill do ya better. Ill do 15 games. ;) Will update once done.
-
@Peanits said:
Strictly speaking, no. It's an exhaustion perk, so you always need to consider how much you could be doing with another exhaustion perk. You could probably do more with a well timed Dead Hard.
But that aside, it's fun, and it's a good way to extend on tiles like jungle gyms. The scratch marks will cause enough confusion for it to activate, and then you can get your distance back once you stun the killer. I wouldn't say it's terrible, but it's also not your best option for an exhaustion perk by any means.
Then why not buff it?

Anything SPACE related. Friday the 13th became so dumb when they tried to add Jason X but thankfully they had to cancel it! I want this game to be actually scary and I hate to say it but space and aliens aren't horror they're just scary.

I'm actually doing the same exact thing, I'm not unlocking all the crap perks like 3rd Seal, Unnerving, Coulro, etc. I've been through that on the PS4 and I've learned my lesson on the PC, only unlock the good shiz or you're screwing yourself over.
Frankly I didn't know the problem you just mentioned was even possible with the Bloodweb changes.
3rd seal and unnerving are actually quite good!

New dying light! Its so great earning that slow down!
For survivor head on, its so amazing to use mid chase with QaQ!

Not really a risk. The reason why anti healing became meta is because survivors have multiple lives. Dead hard, Adrenaline and Decisive are the best examples.
You wouldnt have to deal with decisive if you didnt tunnel the survivor, you made the decision to tunnel and they used a perk slot to counter it thats a fair trade off.

When the devs prioritized optimization for console back in the beginning of the year I was filled with joy! Fast forward to now and console frame rate hasn't been touched since the End Game Collapse update (I believe so). The frame rate now is still bad and I heard it's really bad on the new map. So what happened? Why hasn't there been a single optimization update since The End Game update? Or I'm I just dumb and there was optimization updates? 😅
They have been slowly doing it over the patchs. I used to not be able to play as clown or doctor or even nurse without it dropping to 12 FPS but now that drop doesnt happen (most of the time)

Perks like "Inner Strength" are the real reason this game is dying. And yes, paired with "Head On" and optionally "DS" it got no counter.
The devs themselves explained how to counter EXACTLY the combo youre talking about on an earlier post!

@twistedmonkey well, if you say so google translate is too bad for this, guess we'll never see the good translation in game, coz noone on this planet knows english+other lang, right? Especially in game comunity. Someone who can open dat goddamn notepad and translate 10-20 words without program asist... yep, this is impossible.
Most of their dev team doesn't even speak english they speak french.

As killer I always be respectful as possible! Never tunnel or camp but if they do one thing toxic like taunt me or bring flashlights then I lose almost all morals. I never face camp though!
-
For survivor I always use DS since killers always wanna tunnel.
For killer I always try to use bamboozle, enduring, or brutal strength that way i cannot be looped.

This looks like a great idea! However, her power should be buffed or changed, as it seems extremely underpowered and slightly boring. What if she could sneak up behind survivors and pick them up no matter where they were, and would have no terror radius? Or what if she was able to take the form of whatever survivor she managed to hit? Other than my slight complaint, I feel like that's a pretty cool and unique killer, along with some interesting perks.
Hmm I wanted to give higher numbers but if she had add-ons she could be too much lol I pictured she'd be like leatherface where she needs add-ons to be super viable but maybe instead changing the power we could change what each mode does? But what benefits could both modes have that would make switching them out at times viable?
-
@Pugpablo123 said:
Assuming if her powers went unchanged, Add-ons could increase her vault speed and hit cooldown when in possessed form and perhaps maybe could decrease the time needed to shift between passive and possessed form.
I always saw her shift should be instant or at least take like 1 second!
-
@NoShinyPony said:
Nothing against your changes. But even after those, the new Dying Light would still be a lot weaker than the old one. Just look at the numbers:
Old Dying Light: 25% penalty after 3 hooks or 1 hook + mori
New Dying Light: 24% penalty after 8 hooks
Overall it is better since you dont have to tunnel, AND its gonna be throughout the whole game rather than just late game.

Statistically your wrong because if that were true the viable killers wouldnt be about 1/5 of the roster..and the funny thing is camping and tunneling is not only boring but shamed by the community..even the killers, and the devs churn out more anti camping and tunneling perks as time goes by..quite strong ones too, anti gen perks arnt nearly there in quality , so no..they are not even close to equal footing overall..nurse and spirit are the only two killers that are..but they're also despised by the lower skill part of the community and the ones who play them have nonstop threads belittling them and belittling their ability as players through non stop mental gymnastics and excuses..I'm through talking with you..you've only accomplished in irritating me with this
You seem to be quite immature when debating people. Maybe you shouldn't be on the forums if you're not willing to actually debate/talk to them.

I still don't get how you guys can compare demigorgon to hag.
Hag must have survivors TRIGGER the traps so she can teleport to them instantly (If she is within range) otherwise she needs to use a ULTRA RARE addon to teleport to the trap manually.
Demigorgon can use the portals he placed whenever he wants and the only way for them to be destroyed (or if you want to place a new portal) is if survivors waste time by sealing it (time that could've been spent on a gen, but if they leave the portal they allow demigorgon to have a huge map pressence for the match)
Aside from that, the secondary ability on demigorgon is what sets him appart from being "a hag copy" , since it helps with chases by quickly covering distance and hitting survivors if they are not carefull enough (they are dodgeable, but if you don't pay attention to demigorgon charging shred, he gets a free hit)
If you're saying the Hag is worse than the Demigorgan youre mistaken

You're talking about the vines? Those aren't 100% required, the Devs version of the Upside-down was confirmed to shown while working on the portals so their version is just a gray filter and some particle effects like Freddy. Nothing has to be complicated, anything can be made to be simple. But then again they said it was complicated so I'm wrong about something but I don't think they were looking at it right though. The OG Freddy had no collision while invisible, that right there says other objects can be made to not have collision to people who aren't in that layer of the map.
Yes but theres a difference when it comes to collision and appearance. Sorry if I sound rude btw I dont mean too! But the vines kinda are simply cause of the upside down feel/look and I feel like people would be mad if they werent included haha

Mhm, you clearly only play survivor so your screeching means nothing to me as you lack equal footing here
I play both survivor and killer, rank 3 survivor and rank 1 (Not max pip) killer! I can safely say killers and survivors are on equal footing! Survivors have gen rush while killers have camping, tunneling ETC ETC! Survivors have hardly any game changing perks except maybe DS but that just punishes bad behavior in the way that spirit fury, and franklins punish bad behavior!
-
@HatCreature said:
We now have 3 Teleporting Killers, 3 ''Speed'' Killers, 2 Stalkers, 2 Trappers, 2 Ranged, and the groups can just keep going.
The Devs said that the Upside-down was too hard to make so they had to do portals with the Demo, I myself can't understand that. They have the ''Upside-down'' which is filter when you interact with portals and if it is a filter then the filter can activate when you go through a door/portal BAM Upside-down. Toggle collision when they have this filter applied etc. They could have done more with Demo but maybe I'm wrong and that's why it is so similar to Hag and a weak Hillbilly.
Whatever Killer we get next I hope it is something fresh instead of a variation of what we have. I was really hoping for a dimensional Killer who has their own realm, so much power from that ability <3
The upside down section of the map also is full of different props. They'd have to make upside down versions of each map just to do this.

If you know what you're doing, not too rare. I've pulled off quite a few.
I use Head On pretty regularly and I can honestly say that I don't think it should be a separate cooldown. It's basically like an extra pallet (one that the killer doesn't have to break). With Inner Strength, it's going to be an extra safety net in case the killer catches on before you can heal.
Granted, I never really use other exhaustion perks in the first place. I can see how you might not want to use Head On if you've come to rely on Dead Hard or something, but being able to stack the two would be silly. I'd rather Head On stay as a fun mess around perk than become annoying. If I get stunned by Head On right now, I can't even be mad. That guy chose to use Head On instead of Dead Hard, and by golly he got me. At least that means he's exhausted now.
Also while im here look at my Chinese threads UwU

I see where you're coming from but I would just like to actually look at my build and not have to think to add Lithe or head on because head ons exhaustion is well exhausting to deal with. Especially since its kinda a one time use since when the killer knows you have it its kinda game over for the perk.

As far as the amount of distance gained, head on gives far more. The differences here is the application. Out of the exhaustion perks, head on is the most limited on when you can pull it off in exchange for that raw distance advantage. Compare this to Dead hard, which is popular due to how easy it is to activate, yet providing the LEAST distance out of exhaustion perks.
Never understood why dead hard is used a lot. Its very easy to bait out and I never see it actually working out in high ranks but people still use it.

This seems like a cool concept to build a killer on.
Maybe she'd have a normal state and a more powerful frenzy state, which would be triggered by certain situations.
Similar to legion (But hopefully not a dumpster fire like legion) or maybe more like Micheal who builds up her power during the game!
-
Hmm Jiangshi is quite bland I was thinking more like the Gui Po! Shes an old woman ghost who most of the time is friendly and peaceful who helps her master! But sometimes she comes back and is disgusting and protest! Shes violent in this state and maybe she appears in this state serving her master the entity!

I don't we're going to get that much unless we get a Chinese themed killer.
The closest we have to that is the Doctor who is based on a real life Chinese doctor.
I mean the most we can currently hope for is that we might get some unique stuff with the archives that's related to Min
Though unlikely thats why I want this thread to get voted up so maybe they see this and make even just one more Chinese inspired outfit. Maybe for Feng or killer themed for Rin! I know shes Japanese but still c:

Agreed. The Red Queen has fantastic design in that game indeed, and so does The Ripper(he's in Identity V as a hunter/killer lol). I think they could fit Jack the Ripper perfectly tho. They should just make their own version of the character, who's completely different to the real life guy. Just like they did in many other successful video games.
What inspired me to make this thread was actually Soul at Stake even if its a rip-off DBD its still cutely designed and in my mind amazingly designed! Especially since I wanna see my culture a little more represented in things haha. But Jack is a cool dude and if he made it into DBD oh man he'd be greatly designed and the cosmetic options for him would be endless!

Even at 3 seconds, it STILL grants more distance than any other exhaustion perk.
Actually I would beg to differ since Lithe would do that better in my experience. Plus the opportunities using it are quite rare since you also have to run Quick and Quiet to really avoid having it back fire.
-
@LordGlint said:
The thing to remember is that this perk, just like other exhaustion perks, gives you distance. Instead of starting a chase with a SB, you get a 5 second headstart during which time the killer isn't even allowed to look at which way you went. It may not be a burst of speed like the others, but it fills the same role, to grant distance.
well its only 3 seconds. A 5 second stun does seem OP I just want the cooldown and if it depletes slower or not at all during a chase that seems reasonable it just shouldn't steal the spot of an exhaustion perk.
-
@FireHazard said:
They should also play around with the hitbox also.
If you walk past the Locker and you're in the doorway of say the Killer Shack once you walk past the locker that Survivor is in, they can stun you when you're in mid animation of walking past the locker to the doorway.
Its really odd, try it out in KYFs...
True but they cant make them too small otherwise itll just become trash again lol

We should get more Victorian Era England stuff other than those cosmetics with the Victorian Doctor and Nurse. We should get top hats, cloaks that men wore in England, cute dresses for female survivors, etc. And maybe even a new killer. The elusive killer, known as Jack The Ripper (Or someone inspired by him to not trigger some folks)
I agree the girls need better outfits in general because not to be mean but Jane's recent cosmetic, 90% of Meg's, and Most of Nea's are just bleh. Dresses and hairs inspired by Victorian era Europe in general would be amazing! For example The Red Queen from Identity V has a great design! For the boys I think stuff like cloaks would be a bit much for survivors but killers would be beautiful like maybe wraith, trapper, and clown. And if they cant add Jack they could add a costume for someone inspired by him maybe the clown!
