I refuse to use this add-on. Literally never touched it and I've played Pinhead enough to P3 him. It's way too powerful for an add-on. A contender for one of the most powerful add-ons in the game.
I mean for the worst killer in the game it’s only fitting he have a decent add on. He deserves something for all the downsides his power gives him
-
Me too, looks like they messed this up 😂
-
Honestly I like FTWD a lot more but who knows maybe they’ll do both with a Rick and Madison combo :D! And the map could be Alexandria, The Stadium, The Prison, etc etc. lots of choices tbh

Stop calling every new killer the "worst killer".
You haven't played them enough yet, or found the right playstyle for them.
His chain hunt alone automatically makes him mid-tier AT LEAST.
How much higher he climbs will be determined by the bugs/issues with his main power they fix and how good people start getting at using his power in a chase.
I’ve never really called a new killer weak or the worst on launch. Hell I was even pro-trickster when he first launched but pinhead? No, after playing as and against him I can safely say the version we have in live is god awful

Funny how every killer who releases goes through the worst killer syndrome
You don't want to always teleport. It's much better to just interupt them and smack the box normally out of their hands or ignore them if they are to far away. The only time it's really worth is when you just hooked somebody.
Same thing with possesed chain. You don't want to spam it. The placement is also really important. you control where atleast one of the chains is. That one should never be broken by the enviroment.
Seems like you are trying to spam all of his powers without thought and hoping for the best. He's not bad, you just need to use his tools right.
That said he is far from the best ofcourse. but he is nowhere near the worst.
You guys keep saying things I already know and making blind assumptions. I’m not spamming and hoping for the best nor am I teleporting every chance I get. The quicker you guys stop assuming the quicker we can actually discuss.

Spirit and Blight at release were also called bad killers. I'd bet 10 bucks if Nurse was released today she'd be called trash tier. People are just used to the recent "press M2 to win" killers.
Lmao bro it’s literally not even that it’s the fact even after chaining a survivor it does literally nothing. You stop dead in your track so they gain a little distance and any distance they gained is made up by breaking the chains or worst case they gain MORE distance because of how fast they broke them.

Pinhead absolutly destroys Shack looping with his power
He can turn many loops into unsafe ones with this too,
You need to learn when to use his power and when to teleport
I will agree he is à bit weak, but very very far from the bottom 5, you cannot compare him to like Myers or trapper that are having the worst times
He doesn’t counter shack like AT ALL. His chains can easily be broken in shack due to them all spawning at once. All it takes is a survivor being semi close to a doorway and they’re all gone.
-
Hmmm too early to tell as most people should be just barely getting it (assuming they’re pouring points into Pinhead and didn’t save). I think it definitely has potential to be meta as it’s a very simple but effective perk. If it doesn’t become meta it’ll definitely become whatever term is beneath meta.

Hate it when people say "remember blight/twins at release?".
Twins and Blight were terrible at release.
Twins was literally broken and unplayable. A million viktor bugs. A million viktor counters. Literally none of her perks worked.
Blight, almost the same. You'd collide on every ######### thing from three foot away and when you actually wanted to collide on something, you'd slide right ######### past it. Issues with not being able to use his rush, his POV being lower than even hag's despite being tall as #########, etc.
Pinhead imo is ok. A bit on the weaker side. Games can last a long time because of the chain hunts but his chases can take a lot of time due to what was mentioned in OP. Use your power? Oh you were standing still while the survivor was running away. Hit your power? Oh, the chains are ######### broken in less than a second and now the survivor is even further away than before you used your power.
EXACTLY! I forgot how broken Blight was on launch. He’s only in a good spot now due to a litany of changes that I feel like are easily forgotten due to us all just adjusting. Spirit as well was a lot different at launch. Her phase had directional audio, she moved grass, basically survivors could track her but she couldn’t track them. I’m praying he gets the trickster treatment of a buff in the hot fix, a buff in the mid chapter, and a buff after that lol. He needs a lot of fixes that I feel like won’t come all at once but if they do then I’m happy because I already bought him and both his cosmetics.

Anti-loop that you can use in high-wall loops.
Null, survivors can use the long walls to just break all the chains has happened to me several times.

Oh but you said he was the worst killer? Why are you back pedaling now? :)
The worst is still in the bottom 5…how was that back pedaling?

@illusion said:
First, it is a bad idea to teleport to the box, they instantly solve it. Terrible mechanic that should be changed. Second, if you let them loop you around a shack for 4 gens, that is on you. If you don't know when to break off the chase, that is not the problem of the killer.
Not the worst killer, but definitely needs some tweaks to get out of mid tier.
Didn’t say this happened to me I’m just saying as an example of things that happen/are planned. Most of the time I know it’s a bad idea to teleport to the box unless I’m extremely desperate to find and down someone as usually if I do I’m already losing so I have to resort to being scummy. As I’ve said before I’m DESPERATE to find redeeming qualities about this killer but I am not finding any so far.

have you spent time playing him? remember when spirit , blight, and twins where considered bad at first. take the actual time to learn the killer. everyone is so fast to judge.
Yeah I’ve been playing him non stop since PTB. PTB pinhead was better than this and I’m not sure if it’s because his chains spawned differently (used to be 1 at a time not all at once) or if it’s because people just didn’t know counter play but he’s easily F tier. His chains are laughably useless as they break against everything and 9/10 act more as a detriment to Pinhead rather than the survivors. His teleportation is only solid against survivors who just blindly pick up and open the box (a good survivor opens it near a strong loop). Even playing against him yeah it’s fun but it’s also not very threatening. Even with impaling wire playing with and against it doesn’t feel very impactful. Trust me I’m VERY desperate to like this killer, I keep playing him and even when hitting every chain there’s just hardly anything this killer can genuinely do at 99% of loops.
-
@Myla said:
Definitely not the worst killer and you need to go take a shower to cool your head if you think so.
Give me a good reason that makes him a decent killer.
-
@IlliterateGenocide said:
yeah not the worst killer. not even bottom 5
Easily bottom 5. Give me one area he’s good in.
-
@ThiccBudhha said:
I feel he is worse than most people are making him out to be, but I still feel like Trapper is just definitively the worst.
No cause at least trapper actually can place a trap mid chase to make a survivor move to a different loop OR just pre setting one and getting lucky could get you a hook. Pinhead is just an M1 killer with a niche slowdown.
-
@MadLordJack said:
No. Weak killers are killers like Pig and Trapper, with inconsequential powers. Pinhead is a good killer. It's just that he's difficult and everyone wants easy trials.
It's the same as how people really hate to admit how strong Plague and Deathslinger are.
“How strong plague-“ stop right there I’ve seen enough lol
-
I do play against these teams if I’m playing someone I know but playing someone like Nurse who I’m trying to learn? I’ve DC’d at least once or twice a day since this because there’s just no point. Not even gonna TRY nurse anymore and just gonna stick to my mains. Sad because I have to be so sweaty and toxic
-
Yeah I’m a console nurse going back to back against 4 man SWF all just clicky clicky and tea bagging. Decided to just play bubba and face camp for the rest of the night

Probably people who only played against him. Playing as him feels a lot weaker than playing against him.
I haven’t gotten to play against him on live servers but on the PTB he still didn’t feel too strong but he felt like he was in a good spot and fun in chase. Personally I think they should revert the change where when hitting a survivor ALL your chains spawn at once to grab onto them. They should make it so it’s one by one again since that provides better counterplay for survivor and a better slowdown as Pinhead
-
@HaunterofShadows said:
I mean people think he's op now
Wait really? Who thinks that? Have they never played him?
-
2nd worst killer. Only thing keeping him from being the absolute worst is his teleport/chain hunt. I say this as a huge hellraiser fan and someone who’s been playing him since PTB. I feel like the change of making all three chains spawn at once was just a huge nerf he felt better on PTB in most cases
-
@Zozzy said:
The survivors hitbox blocks your blink and will stop you blinking through walls and low wall loops if you don't overshoot or blink behind the survivor.
Is that why the whole blinking to one spot then being shoved backwards happens? That makes a lot of sense if so but also confuses me since it seems to punish the nurse for being accurate
-
@BabuDweet said:
I wanted to start learning her on xbox with sbmm now implemented but after reading this thread I'm a little skeptical.
That was the exact reason I wanted to re-learn her as I used to be a fairly decent nurse on console (I never used add-ons because I forgot who but a YouTuber said that’s the best way to master a killer) pre-nerf but post-nerf I just didn’t even try it. I mained her on PC and got her to P2 on both however I wanted to finally re-visit her on Xbox. Truly a sad experience. If you’re up for a lot of your potential hits being bugged out of existence but still are head strong enough to ignore then go for it.
-
Claudette being thrown in made me laugh
-
@OldHunterLight said:
Yup, has been like that since the nerf as far as I can tell, I didn't play much nurse before the nerf so I can't say.
Sometimes there are unblinkable......rocks, trees, as well.
I never noticed it when I played on PC but man is it terribly noticeable on Xbox.
-
Remember when we got our FIRST mid chapter? How we got like what 10 perk changes? Sloppy got its mangled, Ace in the hole got its 2nd add on etc etc. I miss those days.
-
@HaunterofShadows said:
yeah pretty much
Has it always been THIS bad? I never noticed it to much before but now it’s like I can’t even play her. I’ve lost a lot of kills or hits because when I blink it’ll say I’m there one second then zip me back but like a little bit closer if that makes sense? I’m a console nurse as well and usually I prided myself on being able to get a decent amount of skill on her but man idk if it’s the hellraiser chapter or if it’s always been this way but it REALLY needs to be fixed.

Only 4 games out of like 30 played today.
He is good if you are good, if you can aim.
As someone who hits his chains pretty often he’s not all that. I’m a HUGE hellraiser fan and to see him be barely grazing C tier pains me. His power has so much potential but even when you hit chains most of the time it feels like it does nothing because of not only how easily they break but because most loops are long enough so they can still get away/use the environment to just break all of them within seconds.

She isn't designed to focus on audio she's designed to focus on prediction and learning...relying on audio is a cheap way to play her lol.

People still complain about RPD?

You guys are that reliant on audio?

Mindbreaker combos with Blood Echo TOO well. Try it and never see exhaustion perks again lol

It’s Sadako. Samara is the bastardised version from the American remake.
The remake is fine, but the original Japanese film is excellent.
I will get off my high horse now.
True but we'd probably get Samara as Sadako herself isn't as broken into the American market as Kayako.

I think lore is the least important factor for deciding a DBD licensed killer. I'm torn between seeing BHVR make killers inspired by classic horror villains, like Trapper, Billy, Spirit, etc. But I also like seeing the killers themselves in the game, like Myers, Leatherface, etc. The problem is if you have both, sometimes it's a little redundant.
Before Spirit was in, I liked the idea of Kayako. But now that the role is somewhat taken, I find it hard to come up with a compellingly unique power idea. And I'd rather the killer not be in at all as opposed to a slight variation of spirit, or having some poorly designed unnecessarily complex power.
True but Spirit sadly lacks a lot of horror elements which make Kayako scary. Spirit's hair for starters makes her easily visible, removes so much of an uneasy factor by that alone, her overall outfit doesn't help the factor of her being not as uneasy to look at, her weapon being a katana also kills a bit of the horror factor, overall Spirit seemed scarier in her trailer but even then her floating hair and weird choice in a katana removes a lot of horror or uneasy feelings we could've got from her. Kayako's power could have something to do with the fact you can't escape her and it could utilize her son/cat since they usually work as a trio.

I agree she does seem like the kind of person who would be all in with something like this.
And her character is unquestionably the most recognizable and important protagonist in the series. Kirsty would be fully valid addition to the survivor roster.
Who knows.
Plus she has awesome cosmetic additions. Seems like a total cash grab they could cash in on.

Why did Leatherface lack a survivor and a Sawyer house map? Why did we get Quentin over Nancy? Why did we get 2010 Elm Street over the more iconic 1984 Elm Street? Why don't we get legendary alternative Saw survivors?
It's likely all red tape.
I suppose but Ashley Lawrence seems open to being in it shes still active in the horror community, still loves hellraiser, even followed DBD. I don't think it was a red tape reason tbh
-

Yeah I don't know why they didn't get her as a new survivor to go along with pinhead.
Right! She seems so perfect as a survivor
-
So basically he's pretty decent with controller definitely not as controller punishing as say Huntress or Nurse BUT it is slightly harder as instead of landing the gateway and aiming you need to be more about prediction and being able to tell where a survivor is gonna go though its usually not too hard. (I played about 5 games with controller)

There is some belief that the survivor is coming as a separate paragraph somewhat later based on data mining. SO we're still wait and see on this point.
On the topic of The Cenobite, looks good and the powers look fun. The slow down perks look rough for survivors, to me. The smarter people will do the analysis there.
I think maybe that boon totems will come with this next survivor who might very well be your girl.
Sadly next survivor is said to be Original.

Another thing to keep in mind is there are varying levels of license. They might get a license for a character but not an actor's appearance. That seems more common than not. So a lot of people might be disappointed if they secured the character but the DBD version did not look like the actor. All anyone can do now is wait and see.

I really wish that she would be added to the game. Ashley Lawrence is an awesome person & actor. She really loves her time in Horror films and is CONSTANTLY reveling in Horror stuff as seen on her Twitter account. I hope BHVR will consider trying to get her character of Kirsty added, as she was a part of 3 of the films, 4 if you count a small cameo in the 3rd movie. She's often seen as the main protagonist not unlike Nancy from the original Nightmare on Elm Street franchise had.
I love Ashley shes so cool! Kirsty would be such a perfect addition to DBDs roster tbh and I can't imagine the Hellraiser IP is super hard to handle so i imagine Kirsty could get cool outfits and legendary skins

The actor who played her is following DBD twitter so it's possible we're getting her sometime. It could be a late addition or the leaks could be wrong.
She also might just be following because of the chapter itself. We'll have to wait and see.
I hope shes added cause she honestly became my favorite classic movie scream queen
-
In order
- Higurashi
- Corpse party.
Personally I just want an Ayumi and Rika as survivors. Rika has been my favorite anime character literally since I was 12 and Ayumi is just a great character overall. And now that Higurashi has given Rika and Satako proper high school arcs I feel there's a good chance we could get her if they decided to do a Higurashi chapter.

We may disagree on ALL KILL but we agree on this. Worst map ever bro
