No, don't do it. Follow the way of Otz and see that it is possible to play fair and still win.

Wait but Otz will tunnel and camp at times. He says sorry he has to do it, but he does do it often enough! Personally, I think that's fine.

    1. You didn't actually depip. It's just a visual that doesn't actually carry over once you leave that screen.

    2. I don't think they were actually being toxic. If the game is cancelled before it even starts I almost always.make a comment just to break the ice. "killer too op", "close game", "hard me in the first half, not gonna lie", etc. These are obvious jokes as no game was actually played. I have a feeling it was a similar situation here.

oh no, i am losing pips. And it's reflecting. I just had a game with THREE iridescent and depipped. Talked to NotQueen on Discord she said it's a known issue. My friend depips EVERY game no matter how well he does

Whenever I feel I am going to lose or be caught by the killer, I start crouching in front of the killer as my way to concede. Sometimes all of my teammates are dead and I have 4 machines to go so I concede. Anyways, sometimes the killer let’s me go when I crouch and allows me to finish machines/escape. Why do y’all do that??

eh. depends on my mood. I might kill you. likely will. and you crouching to me saves me time and I feel nothing towards you.

  • What affects change... player count and finances. If player count (length of play time as well) dropped drastically and less people purchased the battle pass out of frustration... it would alarm the "higher ups."

Now... we have to give them a chance on their first hotfix patch (a week I'd assume)... before complaining anymore.

i'm really not sure if your point just makes no sense or if your definition of tunneling is wrong,

    https://youtu.be/dEPArrf1Bgo

Being solely focused off of hook like that is tunneling.

The killer hooking you, then hooking someone else, then choosing to chase you over someone that hasn't been hooked isn't tunneling, its just good prioritization.

I am not understanding your response to my response. I didn't define tunneling at all or attempt to speak on what tunneling is/isn't. Why are you quoting what I said like I was explaining it?

We can already have a psuedo individual hook counter by cross referencing the information with the number of bbq stacks. And mind you, BBQ is probably the most common killer perk in the entire game

Yes but that's what I think is healthier. Having some cerebral play as killer as to hooking

Have to disagree with your reasoning here, as a killer your told a survivor is on they're third hook as soon as you hook them and they immediately go into the struggle phase.

any killer inclined to tunnel will still do exactly what they do now and go back to the hook as soon as the survivor is unhooked and only chase them with no need for the counter.

It's not that a killer who tunnels will tunnel, we can't have balance or QOL changes based on that.

What people are asking for is to KNOW with certainty what hook a survivor is on. That is another part of this game that will groom players to tunnel.

Get a grip. Seriously, the game won't run me off, but the Forum is kind of embarrassing. Surely you can voice your concerns in a more constructive framework? The Patch hasn't even been out one day and you would think the DEV broke into your houses and shot your dog in front of you. This isn't healthy, nor is it normal. Take a deep breath and act like adults, even if some of you aren't old enough to shave.

    1. I don't like the new UI either, but I'm going to give it a month before I allow myself to truly give my thoughts. It is busy; it is distracting. However, I can't be sure if that is my bias because it is new. It deserves to be given more than a day before you guys act like the Nuclear Clock is ten seconds to midnight. Seriously.
    2. I love the new maps. I don't even have to wait a month to say that. They are solid. I'm sure there will be some bad spots, but I haven't hit any yet. They look good, they broke up the previous routine, and managed to make Crotus more evenly balanced toward the Killer, and Gideon more balanced toward the Survivor. What's not to like. And we get to learn all new Totem spawn points; bonus.
    3. The Clown hasn't been tested enough for anyone to rant or foam at the mouth. Most of you don't even play Clown so what the hell are you up in arms about? Give it a proper test run.
    4. The DEV and Staff are people and deserve better treatment. Personally, and I've said this before, they should close down the forum for everything but private reporting of bugs. I don't see how they get any benefit from this Forum whatsoever. It costs them money and time to upkeep it and it never provides them any good PR. All it does it stress them. They should close it down and make some of you, if you are so inclined, go pay to host a Forum for you to whine and complain all day. I don't know why BEhavior subsidizes your bad manners.
    5. I also don't think the DEV should announce or ask us for our input anymore on any change they decide to make. I don't see how they profit from it. If we like the game, we play it. If we don't like it, we move on. I don't see how they can get any benefit whatsoever asking us what we think when everyone gives them different information. They get burned either way, because they cannot make everyone happy. I say they should remove the expectation that we get a say, preview, etc. The only thing they should talk about with us is upcoming releases and events.

I was going to go to ten, but I think these are the most important things I wanted to say. This Forum is NOT the community. It is, sadly, a loud-mouthed, obnoxious set of lurkers (and remember I post here too). The numbers of every person on this Forum are not even a drop in the bucket against the actual number of overall Players of the game. Most of them will never come here, or at least never post. They are the community, not us. Seriously, are we trying to make QAnon seem calm and reserved by comparison? I feel like I should just name myself "M" and start spouting off the most crazy conspiracies and predictions I can and chances are a percentage of this place would repeat and believe them just as long as they were negative and whiney. There I vented.

I want to repeat, those who work at BEhavior and work on this game which we all play (and I would assume most like) are people and should be treated with at least common courtesy. The Golden Rule should be applied. Even if you don't agree with me, consider my number four and five above, and how close you guys may be coming to the final straw where they say, "nope, this aint' worth it... shut the Forum down."

It's a cute post. But honestly, it's pretty much filled with cheesy optimism. I can't stand that as much as the extremely toxic trolls.

You are also lumping "EVERYONE" into a category. There have been hundreds of (pre and post PTB) constructive posts. Obviously moreso before the PTB was over... and now people are upset because of the big middle finger to the majority of players hating the changes immensely. It's not even just the new UI positioning... it's also the very poor design. It's a lot of things. It's the hitboxes. It's the animations (some good). It's the thousands of changes that never happen and the continual outdated mechanics. It's a lot.

    So to address your points.

    1) I'm willing to be over 90% of the fan base hated it. Including their own fog whisperer. And every big streamer that carries this games public interest. You don't even need a month when the PTB was enough to know.

    2) Even though Gideon has a stupid amount of pallets (25?)... I like both reworks. There bad spots. Breakable walls are dumb. Totem spots still blow.

    3) Clown is tested. It's cool but barely anything. The buff is the reload time. That's the saving grace to the underwhelming addition of the toxin.

    4) Dev and staff for one have shown their disrespect towards players for a while. and yet, I agree. They don't deserve to be PERSONALLY attacked. Which is more rarer than you think... Now... It's perfectly reasonable to be upset at devs for being so out of touch. There is tons of benefit for this forum and don't worry about "their time and upkeep" when people will buy even the most nsfw gorgon. If the devs had a proper line of communication and good community managers that were active here... and changes that reflected community opinions at times... you wouldn't have this. I mean how long did it take for a DS change? How many things still aren't done?

    5) This is stupid. This is the mentality of someone that is just far too passive to have any real effect on anything. Just like this post which will get buried. Good thing you don't run an entire gaming community. Stop assuming benefit for things you don't know.

This forum IS the community. And you don't decide otherwise. This forum is also JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER gaming community. Comparing this to... Q is so silly and really proves your entitlement. You don't speak for me nor many of the others here who have provided great comments/feedback.

Ps. they won't shut the forum down lol. And it's not the only place to talk about the game. Also, you should take your own advice before making a thread on who the community is or is not.

  • @SaltyNooty said:

Yeah, this update is a little iffy. I'm willing to give it a chance but from what I'm seeing, it needs some MAJOR fixest and the clown needs to go back to normal; he was perfectly fine before this update. I love how the devs ignore us when we complain about ACTUAL problems that they created in the first flipping place. Like, if they listened to the community a bit; they'd notice the problem they created.

Let's address the new HUD. I like it, it's unique. However, what I dont like about it is the new strat it gives killers. It literally shows them who's who and let's them know to tunnel/slug that last survivor they just had on a hook. It's disgusting.

WIth that mention, I just played 6 matches 2 of which all 4 survivors escape. 2 against the universally and notorious hag which slug, camped ( also terror radius camped) and just over all made the 2 matches unfun AF. 3, Against the clown who i'm still against his new mechanic, ( I like his terror radius music doe.) And 1 against the trapper. Each of them SWEATED MAD HARD TO TUNNEL, SLUG AND CAMP SURVIVORS, but the hag did it more. The trapper even carried noed and iron grasp so he was deffo a basement guy seeing as how I just gave up with the Dwight in the basement. The amount of sweaty incompetent killers is unreal, can you just turn back on MMR and revert update? Thanks. Like go back into your goddamned hole, if you were only going to surface for this update you might as well not have shown up at all.

Second issue, the hitboxes: There's enough space to fit a WHOLE SURVIVOR in front of the killer before I get hit and somehow I get hit? What? Now the game is TRULY killer sided, like it was before this update but now it's solid proof and the killers can no longer deny or have a say in that one. It's ridiculous. Fix. Now. It's benefiting the sweats harder then fortnite sweats and I dont even play FN.

THIRD! The new map remakes! It's good, I like them. Espeically Gideon, it works but it's too much in killer favor now. Almost all the maps seem to be in killer favor now. It's only a matter of time until the sweaty Freddy's notice and come out of their hole too; I will literally leave if Freddy doesn't get a rework or nerf soon. ( I highly despise Freddy due to his current power and standing. This HUD rework and everything is still in HIS FAVOR. )

Opinions? Thoughts? You know, the usual.

Sidenote; just got out of the match and Gideon is actually in survivor favors; nvm that map.

lost me at.. Gideon being killer sided LOL. Thank god I decided to come back and see your edit.

BHVR has 2 tenets they hold themselves to absolutely.

    1) When players ask for certain changes, it either never happens or takes years to get done and then is still not quite what the players wanted in the first place.

    2) They make changes nobody asked for in PTB, get widespread negative feedback for those changes, they push it to live anyways.

    Truly a fascinating company.

almost like ego or cluelessness... probably both.

Care to explain your reasoning why you think it would encourage tunneling?

so far I've seen a lot of people calming it would without any good explanations.

Okay sure. Any information given to the killer to promote them to finish someone off, should not be given to the killer. Knowing a survivor is about to be on their third hook can often times create an objective to specifically play a different way, or out of the way, to remove a survivor from the game. The guess work of the killer to prioritized out of position survivors would get challenged. When a killer is pressured, it's going to take some skill to remember who was hooked, how many times, and what needs to be done. Seeing "oh Jane is on her third hook" just places targets unnecessarily. Also in a sense... grooms decisions.

This game already encourages killing versus hooking through the lack of "punishment"... Which I think the hook counter was created to try and influence more hooking. (failed attempt in execution) If the hook counter would simply reflect each hook you actually do, it would be much better for the overall health of the game.

Hopefully I explained myself well enough to defend my point. I am in the waiting screen to begin a game.

  • @PGJSF said:

The new animations are awful. And it’s not only a matter of how they look, It doesn’t FEEL good to play survivor. It feels clunky and, frankly, awkward.

    I will elaborate more:

Dying state looks fine but you can’t spin anymore. Not good. It takes away a little piece of this game’s unique identity.

The new animation you get when going down with a hit is cool and actually a nice change.

Crouch walking is fine to me.

Walking is... kind of the same, but looks more generic than before. Like, until yesterday, I would recognize a Meg walking everywhere at any moment even if you removed all of her textures and made her walk on a blank screen. Now I’d say it’s a character walking in a videogame, without knowing it’s from DbD.

Running feels clunkier than before, in a worse way than I am capable to describe.

When you are standing still, it just doesn’t fit the horror theme and it looks like you’re waiting something in front of a desk in a store.

Running while injured, this is where the disaster happened. Honestly I don’t see how anyone can like it. It looks like two gens of games ago.

Overall this looks like a fake game pretending to be DbD.

I do respect your opinion, OP, personal taste is a thing. But the playerbase as an entity (lol) doesn’t look happy right now. And, personally, I am not going to play the game anymore. I assume many other veterans will do the same.

    Dying: Like

    Standing: Like

    Getting hit: Like alot

    Crouch walking/teabag: Fine

    Injured!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!? #########

What's the purpose of PTB if BHVR ignore community's feedback? Who in the world wanted new UI or new animations?

Because they use the PTB for bug testing. They do not care what the community thinks and they already have the idea THEY want the game to be.

  • @DerZuntor said:

They already said they can't, they made a completely new HUD System. There is no going back anymore.

If anyone believes this.. regarding a UI... I would question their critical thinking skills.

anything can be more cinematic, but the newer animations flow with how new gen games animations should be, more fluent and stuff. Even these could be improved but it's definitely better

Agreed, I do find it in a better direction. I still find them to be lackluster and off... but I welcome them honestly.

  • @Mileena_Kahn said:

Are people really THAT upset that the New UI and character movement went through? I’ve seen threads about people “leaving” the game because of it when we all know they’ll be back in 3 days. Like C’mon how old are we? Yeah, sure it’s not the best and people are allowed to have their personal opinions but to lash out at the devs who nerf the perks and add-ons you cry about and update the maps you want updated (both survivor and killer side), you sure are ungrateful. I don’t mind the HUD while others do mind it but be happy they’re willing to try new things.

Honestly... you have to understand people who are passionate about this game.

Not only did almost everyone dislike it in PTB, top streamers they speak with didn't like it... and even their own "fog whisperers" have memed it after release...

And then to respond that well... we can't undo it everything prior is gone... is a joke. The UI is almost effortless (yes I have experience) to change. UI follows you around every single game during every second... So yes people can be upset. It's not about being ungrateful. It's about a company going "oh yea ######### your opinions" and additional time on a test server with almost NOTHING changed.

Do I HATE the UI? Eh. I don't like it, alot. I find it clunky, amateur, and scattered info. But in this situation I understand the outrage. Will I quit the game? Nah, I like the game. But it did degrade the experience.

I don't love the job they did on any of the animations but honestly, they are fine. I would even say I kinda like the standing. I do like the crawling/getting up

  • @madminer95 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1929646#Comment_1929646

A separated hook counter for killers wouldn't encourage tunneling because if a killer is going to tunnel they'll still do exactly what they do now and go back to the hook as soon as the survivor is unhooked and only chase them with no need for the counter.

And the point about killers that would normally forget gaining an advantage could just as easily be flipped for survivors. now Survivors have free info on when it might be necessary to take a hit for someone on death hook or not waste time hanging around to try save someone if they're about to immediately die without needing to pay attention.

    It would indeed encourage tunneling.

Killers just need to either be able to turn this new one OFF or be able to see actual hooks, and not counting ALL hook stages

  • @Kellie said:

Hawkins has back to back pallets, are you gonna complain about that too?

not really a good comparison lol

  • @youngjun said:

Actually, it is unnecessary information. They should remove or move to right upper side.

That's what I pretty much said. It should be an optional widget. Or at the VERY least...

you guys act like Tinkerer, ruin, undying isnt carrying?

Pgtw isnt carrying or any other perk.. these are not carrying matches?

what is wrong with killer mains always attacking survivors and there perks.

"DS needed a rework because it carried survivors" well then every perk who is carrying you needs to be reworked lol

so devs when will ruin, tinkerer get reworked? since something strong shouldnt never a thing in the game right?

gosh stop with the whining its just emberassing nothing else at this point honestly.

there is one perk what carrys me and its RESILENCE well.. i guess soon it will get nerfed since its carrys me every match with faster vaulting.

i smell some bias here ;)

In fact... killers rarely say these things. It's more "RUIN CARRIED"

or the new "can't wait til tomorrow for undying nerf"

to be honest... from both sides... complaining about DS is more a streamer/youtuber comment section. Glad they changed it, but survivors tend to be way more toxic than killers. And I play more survivor these days

I imagine it will be something small. Like people told them mori's should just work on death hook for years and years and they said it was much more complicated than that; and years later that is all they ended up doing. One small simple obvious as hell change took years for some insane reason we may never know..

I think it will be the same with keys. It will be something like "Keys now only open hatch when all the generators have been completed" or something basic like that. You can't skip objectives anymore, but keys are still a powerful way to skip the gate phase and get you out easier. Maybe also a change to purple keys or something so they only open a hatch once one of the gates is opened.

Then given the low chance of keys being used on a hatch as well, they might buff them actually in that sense and let all keys see hatch aura or something within 8 meters or less or apply the hatch sound even when it's closed when they have a key or something along those lines.

    (Bhvr loves stat based adjustments...)

I'm not sure, The dev in the stream made it seem like it was a pretty big change. They also have more changes to Mori (which I assume is being able to Mori last player by default)

I think keys will be all gens (or last player) and an opening time that is punishable? Or keys that enable 1 escape versus 4

I agree with how you feel based on the past, and I hope that changes actually come sooner than a lot later... and that everything is considered well for both sides. Because key/hatch is one of the dumbest mechanics currently of any game I've played. In fact, any bonus, item, or perk that grooms players to act entirely different... is bad

  • @Mandy said:

The teasers were never related to keys but to the DS & OoO rework - they were just mentioned whilst discussing keys because we were asked if there was information on when the key rework was coming, McLean did specifically say that " we don't usually give out time frames but we do have a few teasers coming up today" (I've paraphrased this), but it was never intended to discuss or show what was the proposed change to keys.

Oh yea that was confusing for me too (timing of the words about teasers)

    Sad.

But hey, hopefully key/hatch rework comes in big and impressive. Like early game change he hinted about

  • @Slashstreetboy said:

I think a slight nerf would be justified, but not in the way you suggest. If it wouldn´t work vs Undetectable, the perk would lose its purpose.

That being said, it´s too strong against stalking Killers. A range limit of 24m would keep all the benefits alive while removing the need for Killers to never look in the direction they´re moving.

To me, it is obvious this is what they should do.

  • As a killer and survivor player I do find spine chill to be a very "noob" perk and really honestly not unbalanced just... ruins the fun. There is so much info in this game for most killers. I really wish spine chill had a much smaller radius for undetected killers, really my only complaint about it these days

  • If you are facecamping me or camping hook with some cheesy add-on... I will let go. It's terrible. I hate doing it... but I also don't care about it at the same time. If my team is not doing ######### through my first hook phase after a really good chase, I will also let go.

I don't really care about how the killer or other survivors think about it. I just hit continue and go to the next game :)

Needless to say, I rarely let go these days unless it's end game and killer has NOED to force my team to just leave. Or camping me too far from doors. I don't need or care for you to trade for me.

  • @EvanSnowWolf said:

Ghostface is overpowered because he can Expose you and one shot you without you even knowing he is coming.

Myers is overpowered because he can give the entire team Exposed for a full minute and wreck the whole team.

Huntress is overpowered because she can kill people at range.

Deathslinger is overpowered because he can pull Survivors to his location and circumvent the chase mechanic.

Nurse is overpowered because she can blink through solid objects and ignore map setups.

Pyramidhead is overpowered because he ignore hook perks and mori without an offering.

.... wait. It's almost like Killer after Killer after Killer is overpowered in some way. Like... they were chosen to terrorize the Survivors or something. To instill in them a sense of dread and fear and helplessness as they are killed off one by one...

    to be fair...

    people complain about...

huntress: for add-ons and for hitboxes (which are really bad. hatchets are easy mode in many areas)

deathslinger: oppressive gameplay (over-zoning potential). Can't say many enjoy even facing this killer

Nurse: just mega anti-loop if the nurse is good. Valid complaint but respected because it takes ALOT of skill to play

PH: Another OP zoning killer. The mori thing is fine, people ######### about that but it's fine

There are some really valid complaints about these killers. But one thing I almost never hear is that GF is OP from anyone in red ranks (like the OP). His power often costs gen pressure and is more often than not just m1. Counterplay is simply... looping/awareness.

I don't really find any killers unplayable against except the Twins. Sure, you can beat them. But it never feels right. Victor gives no chase points but keeps you busy half the game and can slug better than Oni with the most forgiving hit registry... but I digress.

  • @Dwight_Fairfield said:

By "Can't look at me" does that mean because his reveal mechanic is so broken? That is the main complaint I see about him. Heck I just had a match against a Ghostface tonight and I could not reveal him despite him being fully visible to me.

it's a really bad bug. like... really bad.

  • @Sand said:

I'm a rank 1 killer and survivor but I main ghostface as killer. Lately I've been getting a lot of after the match chat saying that ghostface isn't fair because they "can't look at me" also I can sneak up even if they have spine chill by simply sidestepping and picking them off the gen. Should I start playing a different killer to see if he is that much better? I only play him because the scream movies are my favorite movies but I am tired of all the hate I get just for being him.

Okay so let me address something you said.

"can't look at me" is a serious problem with GF. There are times I literally can't reveal the GF straight in front of me in his stalk.

I also main GF/Pig and one thing frustrating about GF is there is usually 2 spine chills on the team. Which is unfun and ruins the magic of undetected killers. Don't get me wrong, you can enter at an angle or even still surprise people... but against any decent SWF you aren't going to have too much fun.

Regardless... on the flipside... you can be revealed SO EASILY too. By people on hook, downed people, even people being sacrificed by the entity. People reveal you but looking your general direction as well even if they have no clue you are there.

Ghost is not OP... very strong in the right hands... very weak in the wrong. Some games I go without using my 1-shot stalking power and just run m1 killer that can hide my red glow mid loop.

Yeah I just don't think survivor perks should be 1 to 1 with killers, it is 1v4 after all.

I'd take this version over the live one any day. Just a simple cooldown or something would help, maybe even a token system like a reverse distortion. Just an unlimited aura counter on potentially all 4 survivors is a lot.

I'd pause it on down only. The only problem with pausing it in chase is survivors can use it to run around the killer with flash lights, keys, wait for pallet saves, use Sabo, SWF monitoring, etc.

Should not even be paused when downed. The things I could do to a killer if that was the case.. and the things as a killer that is worse for the game. Timer should run out no matter what is happening.

For this strat you have to.

That is why we have different strats.

it's not a strat. You have to ASSUME every killer face camps (which is not true and often not true). Your "strategy" is literally just assuming all games you will be face camped lol.

It's just you bringing a key.

The only strat against a face camper is to do the gens. Leave.

DS has a counter, you literally just wait 60 seconds.

This kind of thinking disturbs me.

  • Don't need to bring a key.

Those are in the news part. I checked it's not there (unless it got updated).

Oh I saw it but these questions answered are ... yawn. Thanks for telling me!

Title. Since it’s now a true anti tunnel perk it should activate twice. It would only punish tunneling killers harder which is good.

This would also hopefully lead to less survivors who are being tunneled giving up on their second hook.

This is a joke right? Even as someone who has more fun with survivor than killer (though play both about the same).. this is the worst idea to implement into a perk that can potentially affect the game immensely.

You are asking the "game" to know you are being tunneled, as opposed to being a bad player or baiting the killer unable to avoid hook states.

DS should, and likely will, remain a one time use. As it should be. If you touch anything, you aren't being tunneled anyways. Getting hooked consecutively doesn't mean you are being "tunneled" either. And BHVR doesn't want ALL tunneling to stop, as it can be part of strategy.

I was in a game where i was tunneled hard i used ds he still kept chasing me. It is very unfun. Imo they should make it so if you still get tunneled ds activates again so the more tunneled you get the more easier the skill checks for ds will be he keeps tunneling he will have to face more ds.

Absolutely not. The perk would be dumb with more than one use. You are asking the game to constantly predict when you are tunneled. The perk is now officially ending the ability to tunnel for 60s. If a killer decides to hard focus you and you go down quick after a stun like that, then the killer didn't do anything wrong.

Tunneling itself isn't going to be removed and isn't bad all of the time. I play both sides and I don't care about getting tunneled and when I play killer... there are times I do tunnel. (Strong loopers, key-bearers just for fun)

  • @DjangoTheGhostface said:

People will probably think this is bait but it brings up a good point that people often forget. The best way to handle DS is to tunnel. Why would you not? With the DS nerf you should tunnel even harder because you need to ensure you get rid of it before they have a chance to escape.

I use DS every single game, it is literally another life state it has nothing to do with tunneling. People gotta understand this

No. No. No. The best way isn't to tunnel the DS. Even though I do not run the perk, I would stun you and hit a loop to waste 20-60s more of your time. What you are saying only works for really bad loopers. ######### you could W key across the map and waste the same amount of time.

  • As a killer and survivor player... i enjoy not knowing NOED is there. Adds to some fun lol. I do believe the perk needs a rework to not reward literally losing... but I still would like the "oh #########" factor

    Too late.

It is too late to ask civil discussion to fix the game. The core players, the ones who are here since 2016/2017 have asked for this for years, YEARS. Most of them have left now (just check the skill level of red rank players nowadays, they are terrible... so unexperienced).

There have been thousand of complains thread on many forums, developpers didn't really care about what we were complaining about. Now that they smell the game has never been in such a terrible state, playerbase wise, they come asking for help and "civil discussion".

It's over, DbD is dying and will continue to do so; there is no way back. The game is unplayable, clearly, it's 100% frustration, even if you win lol... impossible to explain. Last 3 weeks, i have only played 2 hours and i didn't miss it. During those 2 hours as a survivor, i went out almost every games but still, i was frustrated cause this game is boring; it became a generator simulator for the most part when you play as a survivor and frustration accumulator when you play as a killer.

Hire some skilled twitcher? To... balance?

    What an odd statement...

Regardless, I am sure they seek the knowledge of many great players. I am sure they speak with Otz and others alike. The decline of interest in this game is related to balance, sure, but moreso the luster of the outdated mechanics. Now... big changes are coming to perks and maybe they'll be more in touch + pump out some serious content/reworks of systems.

  • @golubushka08 said:

At least don't nerf the DS. It's an ocasional perk, it's not used always. And I don't want to lose 1 minute doing nothing just because I used this perk to save me from tunelers and campers. This perk is for those killers who don't know how to play this game and only tunnel someone. If a killer doesn't tunnel this perk don't activate. It's not my fault that the killer plays toxic. I'm not supposed to lose 1 minute for their toxic play.

I have only ever equippes DS once. I do not run dead hard. Or ds. Or unbreakable. And i have no problems soloing against very good red rank killers.

If a perk change that balances it makes you quit, then good... would hate to have a player on my team depend on a broken perk to survive.

And if you have to quit, then you did not enjoy the game anyways.

  • Wondering the same... and where is the longer QA with additional questions answered that was said to be posted shortly after?

Its better than current OoO, without a doubt. The obsession effect is much more balanced imo.

I think the first general effect needs a tweak or to be changed.

The killers aura being revealed absolutely anytime the killer can see the survivors is a bit much, especially unlimited use with no restrictions or drawbacks. It'd work against way too much and give way too much info for 1 survivor perk imo.

Something like the Oni add-on would essentially let survivors see the Oni all the time while injured. People are already thinking of pairing the perk with MoM. BBQ now shows the survivors which direction you're heading in.

If new OoO becomes widely used, every killer aura perk/add-on will, in practice, be heavily nerfed as a result.

Maybe a different effect such as always being able to see the obsessions aura would be better as that has a much less likelihood to be volatile since its not revealing the killer. If you are the obsession you get to see the killer instead as a trade for not being able to see a teammate, and use the current purposed iteration for that aspect. Alternatively we could also limit the first effect in some way to not be so powerful such as a cooldown or something.

Or maybe it'll be fine. All in all I'd be ok with this version going live and adjusting from there if need be.

Yes but it comes with its risks. Sure, eveey aura reading add on now reveals the killer, but again... he can see you. And its rng based that you get in a game with that.

Sure the perk is still strong and a nuisance in some ways... but my god is it better. And maybe more tweaks will be added
