He needs map pressure, just like every other killer. But how his map pressure ability would look like, I have no idea.

Feng should be alone in S tier. Those little squeaks and squeals are adorable.
Min's sounds are annoying and off the place, I hate them. Even Steve sounds better because he sounds like he is at least trying to sound realistic, when Min's voice is so childish.

So give Doc new chase music but not bother with the rest of them...that is kind of stupid... sure he gets a rework but if he's getting new chase music they all should. Its kind of unfair.
Other killers will probably get new music theme when they get reworked. The problem is not all killers need rework, so not all of them will get unique music theme.
-
There was system like that and everybody hated it.

This is my favorite example of this, though I'm not sure if it's auto aim:
Sprint Burst movement speed: 150%
The Pig's Ambush movement speed: 160%
You begin an Ambush attack towards a survivor, and they use the perk Sprint Burst. Even though you should catch up to them and be able to hit them (160% > 150%), your Ambush attack will be forced to end early and the survivor will get away unharmed.
This BS is here since forever. Sprint Burst is capable of "canceling" killer's attack and makes land hits miss.
-
I don't do that, but I respect everyone doing this.

They were used, but not in current numbers.

you mean that thing that happens all the time?
No. Now matchmaking is just not working properly. With your change pairing players would be totally random, at least current matchmaking can be fixed.
-
What if someone knows and plays the game pretty well but rarely visits DbD and then gets paired with noobs and totally wreckes them?
-
That's what happens when survivors gen rush but forget to use brain when doing it.

I rather them focus on fixing maps faster. Toolboxes and DS are annoying but I think maps are the worst part of the game next to bugged sounds.
Toolboxes aren't annoying, they are more broken than DS. One toolbox saves much more time than single DS. Before reworking maps I would nerf/rework toolboxes.
-
Self-Care sucks. It wastes more time than actually helps.
-
If you enjoy seeing only Hillbillies, Spirits and Nurses, then yes, Ruin change was decent change.
-
Behaviour: We want survivors be only the skins.
Also Behaviour: You better unlock this Jane Romero or you won't be able to do the challenges and unlock lore pieces and rift fragments.
-
No. We need a mechanic that helps with gen rush, not another solution that is either a perk or paid DLC. Devs sell too much solutions in those shapes (example: Pig. She is supposed to slow the game down, which is a general problem, and she is paid DLC).
-
No. Behaviour devs are the worst I have ever seen.

While I can agree with how it shouldn't be so long, if stun time was two seconds, it would be too easy to catch up to survivors by stabbing them and cancelling beside them. Maybe 3 seconds, but I dunno. If anything, just try to grind out his add ons. Yellow is useless, but green/purple work great.
I like yellow smiley face, mangled+nurse's calling is a great combo.
-
Clown defeintely needs a buff, I would rework him next.
-
Doing gens is boring, there needs to be different objective to do other than gens.
-
No, I try to not use any meta perks on survivors (except Dead Hard, but dedicated servers are great counter to it) and Borrowed Time is one of these perks.
-
All you need to do is to just unlock the perk. You do not have to level it up to make it upgradeable on other characters.
-
I hope they change the music from Doc's point of view. It's awful to listen to the same looped 5 seconds long some metal banging.

Have you heard of Corrupt Intervention? It is very good for early game, so yes killers do still have early game perks. And it's more consistent as well for it cannot be destroyed in 8 seconds of the match.
Buy me the DLC with that perk, then we can talk. It's outrageous that to have any chance for winning I have you buy DLC that contains this one perk or wait month for it to appear in Shrine of Secrets.
-
I am looking for a new game to play. Laziness of DbD devs is just outrageous.

Then explain how killer mains like Otz do well without Ruin?

I buy characters. I can get free skins with prestiging characters.

There's also Pop Goes The Weasel, Thanataphobia, Dying Light, and others to help you out. The new Ruin also helps slow things down by regressing generators, although you'll need to put in some effort to keep them off the generators. Whenever you hook a survivor, people have to make the choice between leaving the generator and having it regress or committing to the generator and risk getting pushed off (BBQ, for example)/the hooked survivor losing a hook state. I'd strongly suggest giving it a try, it's actually very good.
Ok, so:
Pop Goes The Weasel is a perk that can be effectively used in during midgame and lategame. Ruin was something that helped killers in early game, now it helps in midgame and lategame just like PGTW (if the totem survives that long). Thanatophobia and Dying Light are both perks that just don't work well. Thanathophobia is easily countered and Dying Light needs too much time to actually to pay out for obssesion's altruistic action speed.
Now the only killers that will be able to use effectively Ruin will be those that have high map pressure, like Freddy, Nurse or Hillbilly. Killers like Clown or Myers will have no use of Ruin, and that's not bad, not every killer has to make use of certain perk. The problem is all other perks that slow down the game do not work in early game (maybe expect Corrupt Intervention, with which new Ruin could be used to make it easier to put pressure on survivors, but requires 2 perk slots for some early game advantage).
In conclusion, many killers are left without a tool that could help them with early game pressure, especially those without any travelling abilities. New Ruin has potential for some interesting builds and synergies, but I don't think it will see too much play because it is a hex totem, it doesn't have effect in earlygame and because of PGTW doing the same job better,
-
@GrootDude said:
PGTW has always been better
So then Ruin should be buffed, not changed and nerfed at the same time.
Also Ruin was the only perk in the game that slows down gen progression. Now killers can do nothing about it.
-
Ruin was the only perk that slows down gen progression. Now killers don't have such a perk. Devs murdered most of the killers with this nerf, because the only killers that will be able to stop early game gen progression will be those with teleporting/fast travelling abilities. Top tier killers are still top tier, and low tier killers just got removed from competetive play.

Listen, I think you are completely failing to understand the concept of dbd. The survivors WILL go down eventually. It's designed this way. The goal is to buy as much time as possible. Are you telling me only when they do 5 genny run without getting downed, onky then they deserve adrenaline? Then I have to tell you that you seriously don't understand the concept of dbd and the survivor role
Whatever, buddy.

If the other 3 weren't doing gens but keeping the killer busy they totally deserve reward aswell. To me it looks like you are a heavy biased killer main who never really played survivor much.
I play both sides, I am not some entitled main of one side. If 3 players kept killer busy and got downed, then they do not deserve the reward. If they would be in injured state however, then they deserve reward. To me it looks like you are a heavy biased survivor main who never really played killer much.

Everybody uses BBQ only for Bloodpoints. If Discordance would give me bonus BP, I would use that instead of BBQ.

Yes, but it is overall pointless for a new player. The bloody skins are usually ugly anyway. It is much better to focus on getting perks than trying to prestige a character early.
Not if we talk about Claudette with all prestige skins.
And by the way, I like prestige skins. :(
-
@PistolTimb said:
Flashlights are used purely for blinding the killer, which can be done while they're breaking a pallet or when they're picking up a survivor. Survivors often spam the flashlight to taunt or irritate the killer, which can often backfire.
Teachable perks are available at levels 30, 35 and 40 of their respective character. Once you unlock the teachable version of the perk (it will be orange instead of the normal colors), then it will appear in all survivor bloodwebs.
You should level up a character you like; for example, I loved Ace when i first started playing, so i leveled him up first. When you get a character to level 50, you have the option to prestige them (lose all perks and items, and start at level 1 of a new bloodweb). This is usually pointless, especially for survivors. You should focus on getting teachable perks that you want, before you start prestiging survivors or killers.
It's worth to mention prestiging characters gives you bloody piece of skin for character you prestiged, and you can prestige character up to 3 times. It usually goes shirt or weapon, then pants and after that face. So basiacally, you get free skins with prestiging characters.
In bloodwebs of prestiged characters you can find more rare items, which does not have too big impact on the items you get, but is still worth it if you are going to spend a lot of bloodpoints on prestiged character.
-
Devs placed this achievement in the game to frustrate people. I see no other reason to create an achievement like that.
-
Pop Goes The Weasel is arguably the strongest anti-genrush perk in the game.
-
Doc had fake pallets and schock attack, which are arguably better for ending chases than Clown's bottles. Also he has some kind of map pressure and can locate survivors easily, when Clown does not have any of these abilities. Doctor is thus better.
-
Sometimes I try hiding in a locker if I am sure killer isn't expecting me here, otherwise I do it only during a chase if I feel I would be downed soon.
-
Really?
-
Cleanse only in the corners of the map.
-
DS should not be able to activate after 5th gen is repaired. If you live long enough, then that means killer never wanted to tunnel you. Also with gates open there is no counterplay around DS unless downed survivor is very far away from opened gate.

You have to achieve “merciless killer” while only using his 3 perks. Killing 4 survivors doesn’t grant merciless killer anymore ever since the emblem rework. Pretty much just make sure gens don’t get done quick, get a lot of hits (don’t insta down everyone) end chases ASAP by winning them don’t lose them and make sure to get at least 9 hooks and you’re golden for a guaranteed merciless killer (also have to outplay the survivors of course)
I hate this Emblem System! Its big oversight is the fact this sytem discourages you to use perks like Play With Your Food, because this perk makes you lose chases, which hurts your emblem. Also killing 3 or 4 survivors can still end with "Brutal Killer" screen, and if you kill 2 survivors, which Behaviour expects from killers, you are greeted with "Entity Displeased" screen. Probably the only killer that is not hurt by Emblem System is ironically Legion, who is not capable of killing survivors optimally, but does pretty well what emblems expect them to do.

Inner strength requires a totem, there are only 5 to share, plus you cannot use it mid chase unlike adrenaline.
The problem of game balance, not that someone did a bad job as killer all the time.
A slight nerf and people are getting defensive over dear they'll lose their crutch🤭 hehehehe
Yeah, people are so scared about their top tier meta perks. Those perks deserve nerf, they are in meta since the game's release! The only thing that changed is that no one uses Self-Care anymore and that's it!
