I like the animations but hitboxes seem worse than they were previously (most likely due to new animations)
-
I would have to say either the Silent Hill 1 theme or the track "I'm looking for Mary" from Clock Tower on the SNES.
-
I get that this is a scummy play but you really can't expect them to remove it.
What if someone DCs at the start of the match? Then 3 people have to fix 5 gens and the hatch won't even open for the last survivor.
What if a person's game legitimately crashes? Then the last survivor gets punished for something that couldn't be helped.
-
The thing about upcoming DS is that they have changed it so that it can't be used while not being tunnelled, but it also has the potential to be deactivated while being tunnelled as well. The timer should pause while in the dying state and while in chase (or possibly even when running seeing as people could just moonwalk and follow the person).
If they want to make it an anti-tunnelling perk then they should, but they also need to keep in mind that it shouldn't be made useless just because the survivor using it managed to waste 60 seconds of the killer's time.
-
Okay? I mean I don't condone either the teabagging or the DC but Hag can be a pretty annoying killer, traps can be hard to see even on some indoor maps, Midwich is also an awful map for survivor, pallets are generally pretty unsafe (with a few exceptions) and breakable walls make a lot of windows completely useless. Again, I don't condone her DCing, but I don't blame her for not having fun.
-
Should probably have timer increased or possibly even removed at an extreme seeing as it gets deactivated if a survivor tries to progress the game at all. Other than that it's really good, might feel more comfortable actually equipping it from now on.
-
Friday the 13th, used to play it nonstop.
-
It needs to be easier to activate, when you have 3 other teammates doing gens at the same time as you, you hardly ever get to use it.

Nobody wants to play killer anymore because of how stressful it is. After the devs nerfed Undying to the ground even though survivors complained about wanting more objectives, a lot of killer players left/took a break from DBD.
The best thing we can hope for at this point is for the devs to either balance the game/slap a bloodpoint bonus onto killer/fix matchmaking & make a new system for it.
I'm sorry you have to deal with this.
You do realise that Undying hasn't been nerfed yet, right?
-
As a console player, I'd prefer that they didn't, this game gets so boring without new content regularly, making us wait longer would just be cruel.
-
You're best trapping pallets that survivors are likely to go to (usually around the centre of the map), you should also usually break any pallet that might pose a problem for you later in the game (pallets that can create strong loops such as shack pallet, jungle gym pallets, or pallet gym pallets), filler pallets can usually be mind gamed.

Oni and Pyramid Head for me

Yes every single one you don't show the ranks. You don't show the number of hours you have vs them. This concludes nothing, but you have skill and can loop a killer.
Here Are the ranks in order, can't check the hours because I'm on console, I don't even know how many hours I have myself. Ultimately, the ranks show nothing, I'm not the sort of person to make an example out of something that wasn't fair for the killer.

I'm still baffled that they're prioritising adjusting huntress and demo over michael and plague.
Huntress and demo are arguably some of the most well designed killers, yet michael still has tier 1 and plague is plague.
They're probably prioritising Huntress and Demo due to their add-ons being their main problem, Huntress's Iri Head, lack of a second ultra rare add-on and exhaustion add-ons all need adjusted to be brought more in-line with other killers. In comparison, Demo's add-ons are rather lacklustre, with only a couple being of any real use.
Plague and Michael on the other hand are alright killers as is, they could probably use some add-on adjustments as well, however the thing about both of them is they both have the potential to obtain methods of attack that are already very strong in their current forms. Adjustments to either of them need to be done carefully as to not make their default abilities crazy strong.
-
Lethal rushes seem to interact weirdly with pallets, the Blight won't start his attack animation, I'll drop the pallet and stun him, and then I'm magically injured? Other than that he's really fun to play against unless the map has a huge open area.

Please tell me how any of these DCs were my fault, I'll wait
-
Visually I love all of them, gameplay wise, some of the more recent ones feel empty in certain areas which is annoying.
-
Have you played against a GF who knows how to hide around corners or just Spirit in general? There are instances where Spine Chill can make or break a chase for survivor.
-
Can we close this thread? Nothing constructive is going on here, people just arguing over which side has it harder (like almost every other post on this forum), it's getting boring.

This! When I saw that on the survey I just had to laugh at how ridiculous it was.
They may have asked 2 different questions because of the fact that the killer meta is arguably larger than the survivor meta, hence why so many people complain about DS/UB so often. They probably want to try and address unfun survivor builds by offering them alternative perks first, and then nerfing the others so that survivors aren't left with only 1 or 2 viable builds at high ranks. In comparison, killers have many perks that help in all aspects of the game with most of them being viable at high ranks: Infectious Fright and Deerstalker for slugging, Thanataphobia, Pop, Ruin, Corrupt, etc. for slowing gens, Enduring, Brutal Strength, Spirit Fury, etc. for ending chases quicker. Killers generally just have perks that are more useful than that of survivors, because of this, the devs probably want to focus on trying to add the same for survivor seeing as the last meta perks (subjective) that survivors received were Fixated and Inner Strength from the Stranger Things chapter, which was released over a year ago whereas the last meta perk that killers received was Undying, which came out about 4 months ago now.

How does it make the game more fun for everyone?
Because a killer is less likely to mindlessly tunnel when there's an obsession in the match?
-
@Mister_Holdout said:
I don't know what rank you're playing at, but DS is very common in red ranks.
I play at red ranks and there isn't an obsession every other match, whether this is due to the MMR supposedly being active or people have just stopped using it, I don't know, but there are certainly fewer people using it in high rank games than there were a couple of months ago.

I always wondered what made the devs go:
"Let's make an item to circumvent the entire objective system and just let Survivors win without even needing a progress bar."
Oh, kind of like moris? And how you were originally able to kill survivors without even hooking them?
-
Why are the people defending Ruin / Undying in this thread acting as though it was impossible to get kills before the combo was added to the game?

You say only, I don't think that means what you think it means I think you mean your only counterplay that's simple enough to use while still being strong, maybe use some of the lesser counterplay but a lot of it to make up for not having just 1 strong counterplay option
Okay, and what would counterplay to a killer that you can't see or hear be?

My favorite quotes are the "I Don't like my Iron will being useless"
like that's what its there for, its there for you so specifically your iron will is useless and as an average player I can play the game with sound
Whats the point of calling for a level playing field while using meta perks to prove your point, X strong perk doesn't work because X niche perk this is unfair
Months ago when people were asking for a counter to Spirit, many people said "run Iron Will", so when people actually started doing that, Spirits just started using Stridor, making the only counter that any of those players could suggest useless. Essentially, Stridor negates Spirit's only form of counter and survivors are given no feedback on what a Spirit is doing or where she is by default. Asking Spirit players to avoid using Stridor is completely reasonable and that's coming from a Spirit main who refuses to use Stridor (you really don't need it, all you have to do is stop phasing when you stop seeing scratch marks).
-
You got the minimum number of pallets possible on the map, the game forces pallets to spawn until the minimum number is met, meaning that double pallet tiles can spawn.
-
Attacks with little reaction time for survivors / can be faked

@DemonDaddy said:
"makes spirit uncounterable" 🤣
Maybe avoid her using the early and loud audio warning of her approach. I just assume spirit is running the perk and use distance to cover for her hearing advantage.
Ah yes, let me just use the "early and loud audio warning" after she has hit me and I have chase music blaring in my ears.
It is basic knowledge that Spirit's only weakness is Iron Will seeing as she relies almost solely on sound while phasing. Stridor negates Iron Will, therefore removing Spirit's only weakness, she now has the ability to move around the map, fully invisible and giving no audio cues of her own at high speeds while being able to clearly hear any injured person, please explain to me how you are supposed to counter a killer that can do that.

What is it with people on these forums not understanding that the game cannot be properly balanced until solo survivor is buffed? So many people are so quick to say that solo survivor doesn't need buffed yet these same people say that playing against SWF is too difficult. Allowing solo survivors to be at the same level as SWF will subsequently allow the devs to balance the game around SWF, what is so difficult to understand about that?
-
Believe it's next week, in the recent updates there has been a 3 week gap between PTB and live build instead of the previous 2 week gap.
-
So you have to run 2 perks, one of which permanently removes a health state in order to counter 1 perk that makes 1 specific killer next to uncounterable, amazing.

I just 4 man slug at 5 gens and let them bleed out. All I have to worry about is Unbreakable at that point, nice and easy games that are stress free. I might hook them at the end if I really wants points but typically I don't care.
That might be the literal worst quality bait I have ever seen in my many years on the internet

How is it working as intended?
Because you were within 6 ranks of all survivors
-
That matchmaking is literally working as intended, OoO is a bit much though I'll give you that.
But another thing is you can't expect people at high ranks to give you a chance because you're new to a certain killer, they have no way of knowing that, especially when you're running good perks on her. If anything, this just illustrates that the devs need to change matchmaking in some way to reflect your performance on all killers.
-
I mean, in rift 1 you got 8 outfits (4 purple, 4 green) and some recoloured pieces for 1000 cells (or theoretically free if you didn't buy any tiers). If people want to buy these outfits from the store, that will cost them over 6,480 cells at minimum. Is there really an issue here?
-
Nobody shames people for wanting certain characters, they shame people who spam character suggestions. If someone wants a character like Brenda Meeks, people would be happy for someone to make a post about it, making a post on every tweet that Dead By Daylight makes though? That's when it gets annoying.
-
Okay, I've been grabbed off of a pallet before despite having already finished the vault animation, was that the killer exploiting the lag?

So having no knowledge of RE whatsoever, I heard 3 possible killers frequently mentioned: Nemesis, Mr. X and Tyrant.
Could those work as legendary skins to each other?
They probably could, both Mr X and Nemesis are Tyrants themselves, they were just genetically engineered differently from what I understand.
-
@Xyvielia said:
I’m all in on this concept
...no legendary skins tho😋
EDIT: at least cheaper legendary skins, plz
WIth 4 characters being arguably the main cast of the entire RE series, I'd say that a lot of people would want legendaries for a chapter like this. It would make sense for them to choose either Chris and Jill or Leon and Claire however whichever one they choose, a big number of people would be disappointed if legendary skins of the two missing characters weren't available.
Edit: Just saw your edit now, can't argue with you wanting legendaries cheaper, they're a bit ridiculously priced as of now.
-
My guy, most killers have one of 2 things: Map pressure or chase pressure. Freddy manages to have both of these things along with passive perk counters as well as add-ons that slow survivor action speed. How anyone could think he is one of the weakest killers in the game is beyond me.

I said that in reference to the post, quote: *"to create something similar to exhaustion"*
you said: "So completely remove potentially 3 perks from a survivors loadout?"
I referenced the original post by using his exhaustion comparison, this is the only thing we have the idea to base on:
so yes if you ran 4 exhaustion perks it wouldn't work and if this guys idea was implemented running 4 second chance perks wouldn't either.

I'm literally referencing the Original post that you decided to comment on I thought you would've read it before projecting your opinion onto others.
Actually the reference to exhaustion was not on the original post as far as I am aware, it's completely possible that OP edited it to adjust the suggestion.

Well if you decide to run 4 exhaustion perks and are suprised when you can only use SB I'm not going to explain what you didn't take 3 seconds to wrap your head around
Could you please tell me where I talked about using 4 exhaustion perks? Do you know what a second chance perk is?

Might be a reason. I have never seen anything about the Glitch with the Nea Head-Cosmetic from the Set.
Could be entirely possible that BHVR will get legal issues with Konami, they will not like to see Screenshots of their cosmetics going around when looking like that.
I suspect that this is most likely the reason however I simply do not understand why this would be a problem for Konami. One of the biggest things holding Cheryl back from being selected as a character is her lack of actual customisation. It's all well and good giving her a few outfits, but the fact that those outfits must be worn in one single way makes her much less appealing to play as. Removing the linked aspect of her green outfits (as a minimum) would probably lead to an increase in the sales of the Silent Hill chapter as well as an increase in cosmetics being bought for her. I honestly just don't understand why Konami would put such a huge limit on Dead by Daylight as a source of income.

So Hillbilly would essentially be save the pallet and get downed, or waste the pallet and get hit? Because if a change like this happened, there would be no reason for Hillbilly players to ever eat a pallet again. I really don't think that something like that should be base kit on any killer.
