I feel like I spend way too long inspecting my weapon as Myers in the first place, it's a knife, I get it, wow, now put it down please I'd like to resume the chase.๐
But in all seriousness yes some of the cosmetic weapons are really cool especially some of the doctors and wraiths and we don't get to see the full detail up close like in a match, which this would solve, but...
lulz i would be also hypnotized

do you guys support the idea?

So how would each item function in a balanced way? That decreased the chances of getting items we have already, and people will stay away from chests if they can give negative effects now.
Think in the way is kind of easter eggs to motivate you to play more, I would be.
The negative effects would be the balance part, also exciting to find a Chucky perpetually following you

No, this isnt mortal combat and makes no sense as to why it would be in dbd. (As someone who grew up with the MK series , just no.)
That's like saying can SuRvIvOrS gEt An OvErShIeLd huh huh I leek halo
Good idea, to balance this for survivors add a 0.1-0.9% chance to trigger a skill check when dying state that wakes up the surv to wounded

I'd rather not have anything relying on RNG anymore in the game. Pig traps are a good reason enough of inconsistency and I would honestly hate dying to the 0,9% after one single hit.
And I dare say that even when playing Killer having something like this would make me feel dirty.
not a single, but a 2nd hit (unless you equip NM)

Mortal kombat?
Obsiously the concept is copied from Mortal Kombat
A brutality means the trial finished vionlently and abruptly before than expected due a savage action

I've DCd like once since Plague, and that was a few days ago on Ormond with both invisible pallets and bunk ass FPS keeping me from doing anything

Dedicated servers should fix this but I would suggest them to add a quitters lobby full of people that DC so the DCERS can play with eachother :D
I like the idea of re-grouping the criminals in the same cell...

I think is in top 3 tier below the nurse and myers, IMO
-
Hi Guys, I want to hear everyone's opinion on the top 4 killer perks and why.
you forget about sloppy butcher, I would say half+++ of killers equip it
-
For Surv Matt Cote, with famous sentences in the lobby like Ash does: "pretty good job so far", "go play civ 4"...
as for killer @judith

@Volfawott said:
It would be interesting however they already very irritating combinations that could be just made with four I would hate to see what would happen if you were to add even more to that
we cant still have just 4 slots like when DBD was born, now we have x10 perks but not x10 slots
irritating or not, is a matter of balance and fun to make new possible builds

Brilliant idea, sounds like a lot of fun to me. Good job!
you heard that? @Peanits almost 100% of approval

First off: I'm not saying no, I'm just reflecting on this.
Large portions of the game design depend on Survivors being able to look somewhere they're not moving (or not at what they're working on).
Imagine repairing a generator against Pig in first-person camera.
Perks such as Object of Obsession (ones that depend on the direction you're looking) are much less useful during actions.
I think playing Survivor from first-person would make you immediately appreciate how much of an advantage it is to have third-person camera.
This difference in camera is one of the most fundamental asymmetries in DbD; shifting that would make seismic changes in the gameplay all over the place! :D
Indeed we understand it is a HUGE assimetry, we still demand it
the development would be tremendously simple, like changing a couple of vars, in fact even the killer was in 3rd person with a bug lately
The question is how??? perk? offering? mode? settings? event?
I bet for optional "terror event", x4 times a day, during 1 hour, gaining double BPs
-
The second objective should be getting the killer dead, how? no idea
-
@Gcarrara said:
It's an interesting variation for sure. Looks fun ๐ฌ
well u r a mod, with some tiny "powers", transfer this idea to the devz pl0x :D

That indeed sounds like fun!
Thanks

This would be so fun omg, but you should slug the survs and always have the option to mori them, that way, killing one when multiple are around would give the other time to escape or if the killer decides to not kill but chase, that surv on the ground might live. This could be used as a way to do nothing but practice looping and how killers chase, it would be fast paced and it wouldn't be as toxic due to how fast the games are. The less time in a match, the less time is wasted if you die at the end, that feeling of defeat is mitigated and overall, people are less angry. It works so well.
yeah boi needs a bit of balance in the ideas, but so much fun!
@Horus I think devs can handle some copy/paste... no new feats but my guess is ppl will like it so much that may stop playing the original game mode we have now
-
I thought with the introduction of the EGC update hatch grabs would only work if the end game collapse has not triggered. Am I wrong?
it sucks the removed hatch grabs, now there is less game on taht
-
Shapeshifter from Xmen... she sexy
-
@Theluckyboi said:
Problem is they cant at the moment
Im not pretty sure of how it works but basically 8v2 mode would make the ping go nuts since DBD is not designed to support that amount of players
Once dedicated servers come into play it may be a possibility
lol it is designed for 4+ players even wihout development, just check the bug videos of 4 killers vs 2 survs and so on

Would be interesting to know how you can clearly tell that this person was not a Newbie.
afffffff
- erratic behaviour, we were all in the south and he she was to the other side, north
- after chasing me, if did a simple turn left and then she continued to the righ, or viceversa
- when trolling, t-bagging, taunting... no reaction at all
- never stopped, all time moving
- finally: minimum effort to play as surv, not even newbies can play like that
-
@Boss said:
Sounds more like a newbie than anything.
Maybe she didn't know that sound bubbles mean she should go to it.
Seeking skills are usually poor in the beginning, and definitely for chases.
Hatch closing is also fairly new. Heck, she might not know that the Hatch makes the noise.
I can tell that was NOT a newbie

Hi my name is Gardenia...I've been with dbd for 3 years now...I'm getting better but, I have problem.....
I recommend 2 grams of vitamin C divided in breakfast + dinner
then go for a walk daily at least 1 hour
all that may relax u and stop playing DBD
regarding boil over I dont get it... you wont increase your wiggle out chances, just the "shakes"

I didn't say it would happen every match, but remember how people complained how Ghostface's power was too easily hard countered by OoO, even though it's silly to assume you'll see it THAT often? Same thing, only it's not even a specific anything that they need to equip. If they play in a team and use comms, it is too easy to just out the disguised Killer and render their power effectively useless.
same as the pig crouched

I will give you an example, in SWF they can also report where is the pig crouched, right? not the same issue but improved

Killers are already incredibly pressured for time. If you put in a power like that, you'd nearly never have time to do any of those things.
the opposite... just copy/paste/reuse code, fast development

Oh, also what would happen if the killer in survior mode was to "heal" someone?
thats a good question, I think if you are with another surv healing then is slower healing (so not become suspect), if it is just you then causes deep wound
and for the mori should be faking a healing like "hey I m here to help, give me your hand" and then asfixiate the surv with the whip around the neck
-
@TAG said:
Problem is SWF teams would easily be able to identify the disguised Killer and neuter any element of surprise.
That reply was so expected, but not every match is going to be SWF, and what if an add-on or by default every time you switch you get a different surv skin? sure it needs some small rethink but the concept is pretty neat!
thanks @YamiTheFurry

From what I have seen playing killer and survivor for a year, both sides can be toxic. And there are no excuses for this behaviour.
It is impossible not being toxic in a game like this, you always want to fight back somehow
