  • I dont know if it's due more to her being weak or more because it seems like every update brings a new plague bug lol.

  • David. He sounds like a pair of gorillas having intercourse.

Like other said, if someone is struggling enough that buying new hardware isn't an option, only a small portion of people are at that fine line where adding another sub to their monthly payment wouldn't be crippling to them. Stadia for DBD is the convenience of crossplay and not needing to move your full hardware when you know you'll have access to a decent Internet connection where you go and your laptop with a gigabyte connection would be enough.

If you have the money, you better off getting your own decent hardware and not suffer the increase input lag at the cost of an extra monthly fee.

You don't have to pay a monthly fee to play on stadia though. I'm not getting into the whole thing of if people can afford this or that as I don't know everyones situation. But I did want to clarify that stadia is completely free to use. Just need to purchase a game you want to play.

EVERY DAY? Either you’re exaggerating because you dislike this perk so much or you’re extremely unlucky, as I rarely see it when I’m survivor or killer. I can play for hours a day, so I don’t get why I can go months without seeing it. 🤔

I was going to say if I see it once a month that is being generous. That person is extremely unlucky to be seeing it every day.

The thing I don't understand is according to some swf are ruining the game and are very common. OoO completely breaks the game and makes swf so much better and unbeatable. Why in the hell is OoO used so little then if it is so game breaking? I would think everyone would run it. Something just doesn't add up.

I see it about once per day, mostly used by SWF players, most times the OoO user is a god looper.

If they are a god looper, you're not getting them with or without OoO

  • They also stated not changing it because it is used so infrequently. Which has been my experience in my 3 years of playing. I don't understand why people are putting so much effort into a perk they see so little.

  • I'm with ya. I was playing on ps4 for 3 years. As soon as it came to stadia I gave it a try and immediately decided to just start over and play it on stadia from then on. I could not go back to the jittery mess of a game that it was on ps4 after experience how smooth it was on stadia.

That was two years ago. Last year was collecting serum via the rift, which wasn't massively interesting but still better than this.

    Wow. Time flies

  • What is amazing to me is how many people either were not around or completely ignore how the forum blew up last year when we had the serum event. People were going to quit playing because it made the game so horrible. Nobody did gens and just rushed to collect serum and it made the game unplayable blah blah blah. I wouldn't blame bhvr at all for never trying to do any event again. Nobody is ever happy lol.

  • If it were me, I would jump on a forum and whine about it if I encountered this.

  • What a fail of a post

  • OoO, Q&Q, Head on, Self care

  • Care to offer a suggestion? In my experience a lot of DCs happen because a survivor is the first one found and downed. How should bhvr go about making it that no survivor is the first one found?

  • There is no way that behavior can stop people from acting like babies when things don't go their way. All they can do is try. No, the DC bans are not going to stop it all but it does help and I for one am glad they are trying something.

  • I do commend you for creating an account in order to post the longest run on sentence in the history of the internet though.

  • Imagine DCing because you're getting camped lmao

  • I could be completely misunderstanding your post. But it sounds like you are saying that people should quit saying how spirit and pyramid head can be beaten because they were beaten in hexys tournament but this is not how it is in public matches. To which I agree.

But if you're saying that you can't use this tournament as a basis because the survivors were just so good and gen rushed and it's not like that in regular matches are we just going to ignore that the person controlling the killer was also better than just about any killer you're going to face in public matches?

Or are we admitting that when a killer faces a survivor group of equal skill, if that killer is not nurse the killer loses?

I like peanut butter ...but not whole peanuts...*sniffle* why am I so shamed? 😞

    🤣🤣

  • This is the most insane post i've ever read. How in the hell can someone not like snickers? What is wrong with you?

  • I've played for 3 years now on ps4. Want to hear something crazy? Stadia...which is a game streaming service does not have the latency issues the consoles do. As of a week ago I am starting over after 3 years and playing it exclusively on stadia as I can not bring myself to play it on ps4 anymore after experience how well the game can run.

  • I don't know because I have stadia pro so with the base game being free I never saw a price. I know the gold edition which includes I think 13 killers and survivors is 69.99 I can confirm though that dbd runs really well with stadia so you should be happy with it.

  • But does it make you not play freddy? I honestly feel bad when my killer is freddy because they don't stand a chance.

  • @Xbob42 said:

    ...huh.

So I got curious since I forgot Stadia had a free trial and I saw this thread. Figured if it works as advertised I could get in basically instantly to play a game. Set up my account in like 2 minutes, subbed to free trial and then cancelled (as you should always do until you know you want to stay subbed to something) and hopped into DBD.

Game opened instantly as advertised, makes sense since it's just a stream.

Couldn't figure out how to enable cross progression with my PC account, don't even know if that's active yet, so just started a match as a rank 20 Huntress with Lullaby and that's it.

Menus felt responsive and looked fine, loading and everything seemed to take about the same.

Getting into the game, it was interesting. I'm probably fairly close to a Google server since I'm in the Bay Area, so input lag wasn't a big deal. It wasn't lag-free, but it felt consistent enough that I had no trouble landing hatchets on moving targets at relatively decent ranges. Never felt weird to move my camera or anything.

Was a decent amount of stutter here or there, but felt worth it to keep latency low, it wasn't horrendous or anything (I hate stutter) and it was never for more than what felt like a tenth of a second, so I never missed any crucial info, but it was definitely noticeable.

Image quality was better than I thought. I assume that this is just their basic 1080p version or whatever, and I could tell by how fuzzy the image looked. Not massively blurry, just not as crystal clear as I'm used to. When it came to big solid colors like the sky, you could notice a bit of noise from the compression, which, and I say this only because DBD is a horror-themed game and I don't think it would apply at all to any other genre of game, kind of enhanced the look a little bit. But maybe that's just my single 6-minute match talking.

It kind of looked like when you put a Youtube video at 1080p that only has okay bitrate on your PC and blow it up to fullscreen, which I guess would make sense.

I tried to take it easy on what I assumed were rank 20 baby survivors, but it turns out I needn't have. They were still potatoes, but they were rank 12-15 potatoes who all had at least 4 perks, so I didn't feel too much like a gross smurf despite going easy and even leaving a poor Blendette that I found in a corner to continue her self-care.

While I'd never pick it over my PC version, I could totally see if TVs came with a Stadia app installed or something and I was at someone else's house, this would be perfectly acceptable. And frankly even with a bit of input lag it still seemed to run and look better than the console versions I've seen. I'd definitely play this over those. Weirdly enough, it had a big stutter when the final gen was finished, which I've never experienced on PC! Also, end-game chat, didn't know Stadia users had that.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/H5HT4MDS5PD2/image.png

Can confirm that it runs light years better than the console version. At least the ps4 version.

If this is true, this is actually fascinating. Is it possible that stadia hasn't implemented servers and is still P2P? I know for me that's when the game took a real downturn and latency truly became really bad.

I don't know honestly. But I have played for 3 years on my ps4 pro. One match on Stadia was all it took for me to make the switch. It runs so much smoother. It's amazing being able to see survivors the entire time while playing killer lol.

  • also, if you want to swf some time let me know. VincentVanGoat

  • I just dumped my ps4 after trying it on stadia. It's amazing how much better it runs than it does on ps4. It sucks to start over but I can't go back now after noticing the huge improvement in fps. Loving stadia.

  • I just recently dumped my ps4 as well. When the game came to stadia i decided to give it a try. It is amazing how nice playing killer is at 60fps. It sucks to throw away 3 years of time in a game and start over but I just can't go back to the ps4 after seeing the difference.

  • Never have I ever went into a pvp game and felt the opposing side should make sure I have fun.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Up until these forums I've never heard of Stadia before.

Yeah google has done a horrible job in the marketing of it imo. I've had it since launch and was very unimpressed at first but over the past year they have made some good improvements. Been enjoying it recently.

The crossplay between next gen and current gen consoles worries because of the devs’ track record when it comes to consoles. We never got the PS4 Pro and XB1X enhancements. What if the game is so poorly optimized that even the PS5 and XSX, the two strongest consoles, struggle to run it? I don’t want to (and shouldn’t) have to opt out of crossplay again for the PS5 just to have a somewhat fair match.

This is why i'm biting the bullet and just starting all over on Stadia. It sucks throwing three years down the drain but when it became available on stadia last week and I tried it out, I can't go back to ps4. 60fps is so damn nice. And it just looks better. I don't have high hopes that they will optimize it for the next gen very well either as the ps4 and xb1 are perfectly capable of running this game smoothly but don't.

  • @Mandy said:

I've not had chance to play on Stadia yet, will hopefully give it a try out this weekend. Glad to hear you're having a great experience with it.

In my experience it runs great. It looks nicer than it does on my ps4 and runs at 60fps. It's so smooth. I also like finally having end game chat lol.

  • Not really surprising that this post turned into such a ######### show.

  • @Mandy said:

Maybe check now...it should definitely be there, it was released a little while ago!

Thank you, it is there now.

  • How anyone can choose spirit or deathslinger or freddy as too oppressive is mind boggling when the fact remains there is only one killer that you literally can't do anything against and that's nurse. A good nurse is still the most oppressive killer in the game and it's not even close.

  • People having rage over an optional inclusion into a video game is why the world is a scary place.

  • Sorry, but if survivors are having a hard time taking these perks out relatively early in the game (besides tinkerer) then I have to disagree with the killer being the brain dead bot in this situation.

  • I will have to agree with you. The DC's are out of control. Played about 10 matches last night and each one had a DC.

  • If only there were a way to completely nullify hags power. I have fun playing as and against hag. I find her much more fun to face than a huntress who can hit me around corners. A pig or ghost face or wraith who hook someone, move a couple meters away and wait. I have more fun playing against hag than a good nurse who is the one killer that there is zero counterplay to besides completely splitting up and hoping to bang gens as quickly as possible. I enjoy hag more than a boring ass freddy with pop or a snooze fest legion with ruin.

  • I think it's just something to ######### about. The same way so many killers think SWF is just impossible to beat and ruins the game. As a killer I don't mind object at all. If the team knowing where you are makes it so you can't get kills then you need to work on your skill. The only time I feel it's completely broken is against Freddy. Other than that it's fine.

  • The irony in this post is both funny and sad.

  • There are several things that give explosion notifications that are not a hook. I'm confused.

  • Im pretty sure you can do both survivor and killer or just whichever side you want. I don't think anyone is locked in to a specific role for the tome.

I played the tournamment, I went 25-22 with my Huntress on yamaoka against Agony during first stage. I was snowballing them but they could finish due to a misscalculation.

Other Killers appart from nurse and spirit have stomp potencial against these survivors if played at very high lvl. Hag/Huntress, not m1 Killers.

Infectious fright is not reliable in comp, people is very good on 1v1 and play smart, any good team would easily avoid the perk.

    you're jordirex?

  • @ClickyClicky said:

I’ve said this for ages and people argued with me till they were blue in the face.

Spirit is overrated. She’s very good but she’s not unstoppable. She’s 110%, even her phase walk only gets her so far across the map, often not far enough and if you use the full charge for mobility then she’s gonna be eating a 15 second cooldown before she can use it in a chase. Every wrong read she makes on a survivor too puts her on cooldown and you can see that good survivors can extend a chase against her pretty well.

Hence why I defended her and said she’s not OP. Yeah she had weak add ons in the tourney but still all you need is 4 people on comms to spread out the gens and she’s gonna struggle.

Whats funny is we saw one Billy and he looked incredibly dominating. 4/5 hooks before a single gen was done. With the way the SWF kept trying to spread the gens I think Billy and Blight (in future tourneys) would be better picks than PyramidHead. At least if the map isn’t too pallet heavy like say Ormond.

I was really surprised by all the pyramid heads. Obviously these guys know more than I do about the game and tournys but PH just seemed like an odd pick and didn't ever really pan out well in the later rounds.

TricksterShadow is really good, I’ve been watching his YT videos for a while and he plays every killer and does a lot of analysis games that are really interesting. I hope more people check him out after seeing him in the tournament because he definitely deserves more viewers.

What team was he on? Just checked out some of his youtube videos. Seems like a cool dude to watch stream as well.

I don't even remember like half the teams that played yesterday. The only ones that stood out were Agony and Oracle. I think the highlight of how scuffed the team selection (not just survivor selection) was the scrollwheel hag who kept getting dumpstered on and baited by the team on Saloon. The Meg in the Wraith game is your survivor example of how poor the team selection was.

And it's funny how you're acting like people have to be pros at the game to realize that some of these teams are just not ready for tournament play, as if people don't commentate on real sports all the time despite not being players, or how the casters of this (or any other esports tournament) aren't top tier themselves. Or you know: You. You're talking a lot of smack about other pubs players despite not being in this tourney yourself.

And yeah I would probably be dunked on by the worst teams in the tourney because I don't play Nurse, I don't play survivor enough, and I don't play on PC LOL

Also ######### was with all the killers running Rancor when Rancor kills don't even give full points as in the rules? Dumb perk selection from a lot of people that played killer. That right there is some Pepega decision making if I've ever seen it. People definitely weren't getting that much value out of the information aspect of it.

    E: Ninja'd you Rizzo.

Bro, I honestly couldn't believe that meg. Like how are you in the best of the best tournament and never look behind you in a chase?

  • @Spooky13 said:

I've been playing nothing but addonless Blight on console for the past 3 days and I think the one change he needs is just a better Lethal Rush lunge. Survivors just have to move out of like a 40 degree cone and they're safe. His lunge is so easy to dodge it's upsetting. I've played a few survivor games against him as well and I still feel the same, his lunge is too easy to dodge. I understand he is still very new and difficult to learn but that's just my two cents. Also just move his camera up please. His mobility is still scary good though, just buff his lunge range and he'll definitely be solid B or A tier.

If you wait until you're right on the survivor before hitting m1 he hits them immediately instead of lunging. Almost impossible to dodge as survivor.

So I'm finally unjailed and I've been playing this patch quite a bit I got things I enjoy and things I don't. So I'll start with the things I like.

Some things I like are the fact that the frames on my xbox have been fixed the game runs properly, the new killer is quite strong, I like the perk built to last. I love the new maps... design wise. That's about it those are my likes.

Some things I dont like are badham they killed badham. There are hardly any fillers useless breakable walls the killers arent gonna break, short loops that you can side step. The map is overall terrible and unfun to play as survivor. Yamaoka they did wonderfully I actually enjoy that map now.

A lot of bugs like the new ds bug, your character still does not turn their body when you look behind you for some reason. Movement bug for console that makes it 360s, and moonwalking impossible. It's just really bad.

These are my thoughts what do you guys think?

The breakable walls on badham are insane. They basically removed any good loops on that map. And why even make them breakable as like you said no killer with a brain cell is going to break them lol.
