I play Blight with BBQ, Pop, Oppression, and Shadowborn. Very solid build IMO.
I might switch out Oppression with Lethal Pursuer once I bother leveling Blight again (although I main him, I focus on leveling other characters because I like his base-kit).

Despite being trash tier, Tricky is unironically one of my favorite killers to play as, I love his gameplay.
It's a pain to play as him if you're in a tough loop or in a map he's bad in, like most indoor maps, but other than that he's actually fun.
He needs buffs to his base-kit and main event, like being able to carry main event and making Melodious Murder base-kit (while reworking that add-on at the same time). I don't think making those two changes will make him OP.

He's weak, but nowhere near the worst killer. That still goes to clown and legion. I've played him a lot since his release and think he could use some buffs but I'm not sure what they'd be besides letting you hold Main event and be able to stop throwing blades in main event. But even then he needs more. But he can still down even the most experienced survivors on any loop, it's just going to take you ages
I love Trickster and find him to be fun and underrated (gameplay wise) as hell, and I don't think he's the worst killer, but Clown is no way in hell the worst killer. Legion maybe, but Clown heck no.
Clown can counter W meta and easily shut down most loops (INCLUDING shack).

I think it should be survivors within the radius of that generator.

Then why there isn't "straight pride month"? Is someone being discriminated here?
I mean if you think about it we have a straight pride month for 11 months. Cmon, let the LGBT community have their own month.

Oh, dont worry, they will nerf Dead Hard at some point. And then you will reconsider your opinion if you want to verse Sprint Burst. Sprint Burst, unlike Dead Hard, makes every area safe, because you can actually gain distance and make it to a Pallet or Window, unlike Dead Hard, which is not useful in Deadzones.
And IMO it is more frustrating to approach a Gen, having the Survivor sitting on it as long as possible and making it to safety regardless due to Sprint Burst.
Mindbreaker exists. Pretty much negates Sprint Burst unless they aren't on a generator.
Can't wait for my favorite perk in the game, Mindbreaker, to become meta.

Cut Fuse (Common)
A shorter fuse, making the firecracker take less time to activate.
Slightly decreases (-0.25 seconds) the amount of time it takes for the firecracker to go off.
Survivors and killers affected by the firecracker are no longer blinded. Instead, they are temporarily (1 second) given the Hindered status effect (-15% speed).
(If you react quickly you can dodge the firecracker by looking up, don't worry!)
Party Confetti (Common)
Be the life of the party!
Firecrackers emit rainbow confetti after going off, and make a confetti noise.
Blinding or stunning the killer with a firecracker grants you an additional 1000 bloodpoints.
(As you can see, this one is blatantly the Clown's party bottle add-on for the firecrackers.)
Safety Goggles (Uncommon)
A pack of safety goggles to prevent any danger to the eyes.
Survivors are no longer affected by the effects of the firecracker.
Metal Lighter (Rare)
A lighter used to set flames.
Considerably increases (+5 metres) firecracker range.
Two-in-one Bundle (Rare)
Grants an additional firecracker. (Basically, this add-on gives you another charge which acts as another firecracker)
Party Bundle (Very Rare)
Grants two additional firecrackers.

A Creepypasta rep in Dead by Daylight would be really cool tbh.

I think he’s a really great advocate for “try it for yourself, and make up your own mind” without using that exact phrasing. He frames things with “this is what I think” rather than “this is the way it is”
Even though many totally ignore this, and just use Otz word as gospel.
Pretty much, yeah.
-
I love Otz as a person, he's a really nice and chill guy and deserves the recognition he gets. However, I don't agree with every single one of his opinions.
If I start agreeing with one of his opinions then that's because he has great reasoning on it.

I can't. I'll be banned. That's just how it is.
So why didn't you keep it to yourself? Why'd you have to post here?

He definitely has skill. If anyone thinks killers are weak, they can watch him win. A little too much I might add.
Hm, I see.

How so? Im a Oni main on Series X and he feels just fine.
Key term: Series X
-
Because they have no lives other than living in their mom's basement and using other people's scripts to make them look like a smartass.
However, I don't blame others who attempt to hack back their legacy, and I'm fine if they don't ruin others' gameplay.
-
The bloodpoint cap is an unnecessary and outdated mechanic. I'd love to see it gone.
-
The thing is, he was playing M2-only Nemesis. M1ing is necessary as Nemesis because his whip isn't easy to aim in close range, it's better to whip at windows and pallets.
-
Do you admire Otzdarva, or do you think he plays with no skill?
-
While the issues are mostly console-related, optimization shouldn't be exclusive to console.
-
As a bisexual guy, I'm really happy with pride month, in general and in DBD. I love running around with the pride charm and having it in me hook.
An event dedicated to pride month is what I'm hoping for next year (tho im fine if it doesn't happen), it can be a mini event pre anniversary!

Tbh Plague should be S tier. If Hag has 2 great perks and 1 okay-ish perk, Plague is also in that scenario. Corrupt and Infectious, and Dark Devo.
I'd probably put Tricky higher because he's got a good perk (Starstruck), a decent perk (No Way Out), and an okay-ish perk (Crowd Control).
I'd put Freddy at the top of E tier because Blood Warden is his only perk that is okay, the other two being trash tier.
Legion has Discordance so they're automatically at the top of C tier (In fact, I'd switch them and Blight because Blight has Undying, a perk that requires another perk to work well, and Dragon's Grip is an okay perk while Blood Favour is trash tier).
While I think Oppression is a solid and underrated perk I'd move Twins above Trapper but the perk is very controversial so I'd leave em be.
Other than that, solid list.
-
I don't think it'll even affect SWF to begin with.
Anyways, don't nerf SWF, horrible idea. Why punish survivors for playing with friends?
Once MMR is perfectly ready to release, we'll have to buff killers to compensate.
-
I unironically find him more enjoyable to play than Pyramid Head (who is already a pretty enjoyable killer atm). He may be weaker but his kit is a lot more interesting. Solid B tier killer. Give him time.
-
I had a stroke reading this.
-
To make it hex worthy, it should be 32 metres.
-
Honestly I'd make it so it considerably decreases (-24%) the Wraith's movement speed back to 126% and maybe slightly increase the uncloak movement speed (+10%). It would be a way to play old Wraith again while being a bit viable at the same time.

Curious why you think gf is better?
He has a solid instadown ability and can mindgame in loops by crouching (though it's a bit inconsistent). You can 99 stalk on people to instadown them later. Wraith takes his sweet ass time getting cloaked, while GF can instantly go to stealth mode to perform mindgames without that red stain.
Wraith's lunge can be helpful in loops but not all loops, mostly unsafe ones.
-
Wat.
-
With power recovery add-ons GF is better than Wraith in my opinion. However Wraith excels in the map control category, and doesn't require add-ons to be playable.

explain to me the "counter-play" in a map with unsafe pallets, if you pull the pallet down his chainsaw insta breaks it, and if you don't his chainsaw lasts ages so he can run around the loop swinging his chainsaw till he catches you? what counter-play is there?
I think you're playing Haddonfield wrong, that map is by far the most surv-sided map in the game, and against a competent team it's miserable as killer. God houses are Bubba's worst enemy.
Anyways, I think Bubba is one of the, if not the, most balanced killers in the game. Has plenty of counterplay and is fun to go against (other than basement Bubba and facecamping Bubba).

Because a lot of people are sufferings from disconnecting issues on consoles. It would be unfair to those on consoles to get the temp penalty.
Ah I see... that's fair.

I think he's fair like he is. I would have to think about that, definitely not the purple bag, that would be way too OP.
But why not use a bag if you want a bag? One spawns in every bloodweb so I think that makes it fair.
Bags are absolutely mandatory on Trapper. If you focus on the grind on other characters you'll run out of bags pretty easily. I ran out of bags on my Trapper and I won't bother getting more at the moment because I'm focusing on P3ing other characters.
I'd say the brown bag can be base-kit.
-
Love him, really fun to play as and actually pretty decent! Zombies for automatic map pressure is awesome. Solid B-tier killer.
-
Nemmy is such a fun and decent killer. The perks are really well-designed and fun, and the addition of limited items is awesome. However, I'm not a big fan of the map (yet), but we'll see once it rereleases.
Tbh the big issue is the update, not the chapter itself.
-
Why the hell did they disable it? Are they doing a test or something
-
Yeah no that's a ridiculous daily, they really didn't think that one through. Down 4 survivors with tentacle strike would be fine as well.

I would advise to take a step back, get 5 deep breaths and read again what I said.
FoV is limited for a reason. It limits your peripheral vision to allow certain plays from a survivor, such as hiding in a corner of your vision.
Is it that hard to understand?
You are literally arguing as if your FoV was set to 35 and you are not seeing any other arguments around you besides your heavily focused point of view.
Because you are using Shadowborn you are trading higher peripheral vision for a perk slot. Vision angles are a huge boon in dbd, hence why it is a perk.
How about we add an FOV slider in the game and see if it makes a difference? I assure you it won't make much of one, and that this whole thing is just an overreaction.
If it happens, that is.
I'm chill btw, I'm just stating my opinion. Did not intend to throw offense at you, so I apologize.
-
I dunno why people went from absolutely despising this chapter to loving it. I still dislike A Binding of Kin solely because of Twins, the star of the show. However I believe they can change Twins to make them more fun to play as and against while still being strong.
-
@PureHostility said:

Then use Shadowborn...
FOV is low for a reason, as much as I love playing with 90 horizontal FoV I do understand the intended limitation from the game balance standpoint.
I bet those who use stretched res (4:3) use it because they are used to it and they clearly don't do it just to gain any advantage.
I use Shadowborn.
And also, why should I need a perk slot in order to unlock higher FOV? As I said, I want an FOV slider so the people who enjoy the 90 FOV can keep enjoying it. I play first person games with high FOV.
Literally most well-balanced first person games have an FOV slider. The advantage argument doesn't make sense in this case. "It helps you see survivors better" who cares? I assure you no one who uses high FOV cares about the advantage, they care about their enjoyment of the game.
-
Bloodpoint farming is WAY easier as killer, so I don't even bother using up a perk slot for a perk I wouldn't do well with.
-
@Sluzzy said:
It would definitely be out of balance. There's a reason they haven't done that, he could instantly block off half of the map. Doing so should come at a high price. Imagine blocking an entire map with 5 gens still remaining. His power is like an insta-down, with no counterplay when an structure is secured with bear traps. Have you ever been chased by trapper and he had everything trapped? That should come at a price. He needs to find his traps so he can't simply baracade half the map instantly.
Do you think current Trapper is balanced? Do you also think he should get the bag base-kit or no?
-
"It gives an advantage" Yeah no, such a small advantage to the point where it doesn't even make sense.
FOV is an accessibility option that most games have. On the other hand, DBD has it locked behind a perk.
I enjoy playing games with higher FOV because I'm used to it, I don't care about the advantage it gives, I care about my enjoyment of the game. Saying it gives an advantage is an invalid argument. Why should DBD be the only game without an FOV slider?
-
Smart choice.
-
Ehh... no thanks. The perk is just a meme rn, don't make it less fun than it already is.
It's easily countered by looking up.

@ryseterion said:
That's just the servers being ass and isnt the killers fault.
Not the killer's fault but it wasn't the servers either, just the game's optimization at its peak.
-
The thing is, you're comparing Spirit to Trapper, Wraith, and Doctor, killers that are inferior to her overall. All three of them have counterplay, other than hit & run Wraith which I don't even know where to start on.
Trapper's counterplay during a chase is find out where he places his traps before the chase so that you know his playstyle. Doc's counterplay is to predrop pallets to avoid getting shocked into being unable into drop them.
Being able to see Spirit would allow you to actually perform consistent mindgames because she won't be able to see you while you'll be able to see her, giving her counterplay. Your argument that the no counterplay argument is meaningless doesn't make sense. No counterplay means you can't do anything about it, which is why Spirit is stupidly overpowered. Couple that with mobility and ouch. You either try to mindgame her (in which you don't even know if she has duration/speed add-ons) or your fate is sealed.
Nerfing Spirit (unless it's in a way that gives her counterplay) wouldn't fix her either. She'll still have zero counterplay making it the same as ever when it comes to playing against her.
-
Probably could have resulted in legal issues with Capcom.
