It's a funny addon. I don't have much of it since it was a rare addon beforehand and didn't care less about that addon. Last time I tried it was during the PTB so I'm gonna test it out again sometime.

Missing a Punishment Of The Damned shot is stressful because it severely punishes Pyramid Head as you're forced to stand still for 2.25 seconds while the survivor runs away and makes a ton of distance. Just ask yourself: How many killers in DBD literally "stand still" for multiple seconds after each use of their power?
Playing as him is basically like playing a sniper sitting on a "Silent Hill" for days waiting for their target. You know that -against good survivors- missing a couple shots will cost you the game so you have to make it count.
You have to prepare your shots carefully and keep the depleting Rites Of Judgement bar in mind while preparing to flick that shot precisely to the window or pallet that the survivor is possibly aiming for.
On top of that you have to study each survivor individually as some people are more likely to "bait" let's say a vault than others and since your "calibre 0.50 sniper-shockwave" takes a while to hit the target you will have to learn to take factors into account such as distance to the target, angle etc. before you can accurately decide when to go for a shot (or not).
Last but not least since his shockwave is not a moving projectile unlike Huntress' hatchets he doesn't get carried by "bs-latency-hits" further contributing to the "sniper comparison".
That's what it feels like playing as him in my opinion.
Thanks for the tips, and a really, REALLY great take. I think the issue I had was me trying to focus but got too distracted by my anxiety. Your point makes sense, it's what really gives me that feeling when playing Hillbilly and then crashing into a wall. Now I'm encouraged to try playing PH again, lol.

He's awesome! He just needs buffs, that's all.
-
Nah Nea's fine, not everyone needs to be perfect. Her eyes should probably be fixed though. Quentin on the other hand... BHVR please, he's barely accurate to his appearance in the movie. Laurie could use a bit of an overhaul as well.
-
I would friccin' love that, it's a shame that it might not happen with how SCP licenses work. Which SCPs would fit in the most though? I'd say SCP-106 as the killer and SCP-105 as the survivor.
-
I'm not defending what the BHVR balance team does but jesus I stg, the community just loves finding ways to get angry at BHVR.
Also the LGBT speculations were because of the Mightee One logo had the bisexual flag colors.

I hate the new killer for so many reasons. It does not however make me homophobic or racist. I'm so fed up telling people this the last few days. People not liking the killer for legit reasons (not finding him scary, bad design, not liking the ability etc etc ) does not make that person racist nor homophobic. I'm not saying your like this but its like censorship where you can't say a bad thing about the killer without being labelled either of the above. Its such a dangerous view point, that of the Illiberal Liberals where they like to stand up for things (generally left wing) but if you disagree with them you're wrong end of story (totalitarianism ironically a right wing view point)
I hate the new killer but I am neither racist nor homophobic nor am I acting childish
It's okay to dislike a killer's design, looks, power, etc. but I haven't seen anyone call someone out as a racist or homophobe for disliking the new killer. I think OP was only exaggerating about the homophobia.
Anyways unnecessary opinion time: I think the Trickster as a character barely fits in DBD but I still like him, innocent looking K-pop idol turned sadistic serial killer and mutilates his victims to record their screams of pain for his music. Also his design and personality go well with his lore.
-
I have nothing against it, sometimes it can even work as a strategy to piss the killer off to make them go for you, but I can see where people are coming from when they see it as annoying or disrespectful. It is how it is though.
-
I'm honestly fine with anything, as long as they're fun and everyone enjoys them.
-
A weak C-tier IMO. We'll see how it goes once we get the real deal.
-
I think it's safe to say that... I've been proven wrong.

ok give me a moment. I hope I didn't over hyped myself. I'm just really happy I survived.
Nah overhyping yourself over that is 100% reasonable, I probably would have done the same. It's really difficult to play against a good nurse so well done man lol.
-
As a Blight main, it's definitely not as bad as Billy on Lery's but it's still awful lol. Lotta people here got good advice tho.
-
Most of the time, I do.

Nooooo D:

I really needa play the games lol, they've always interested me. Maybe the puddles could work like Freddy's snares with a twist?

Yes absolutely. When a killer's best addon is low rarity (like Wraith, Trapper, Demo) it should always be basekit.
I'm glad they did it with Wraith. I'm hoping they make the Trapper Sack basekit, it's a nightmare to play Trapper with only being able to carry one at a time, lol.
@Yords said:
Yes, it makes it much more useful in a chase. Against decent survivors who know how to dodge, this becomes much better. This should be the only thing base kit though.
Demo honestly could use a tune-up for his addons.
Interesting take tbh.
-
I feel like Scalped Topknot should be reworked entirely. It's pretty much instasaw but for the Oni. I wouldn't mind a slightly smaller charge time for Demon Dash though.
-
wut
-
I hope they don't put the uncloak movement speed nerf in the final version of the patch, I think all Wraith needed was the buffed cloaked movement speed. Nonetheless I think BHVR did an excellent job on this update, this update and the Clown update are certainly the best days of our Wraith mains' lives.
-
Myers is too addon reliant (mainly on J.Myers, he absolutely needs that addon) and his stalking is limited after a good while. Despite survivors being able to get GF out of his stalk mode, GF can go back to his zero terror radius after his cooldown is over. Plus the ability to crouch gives sweet mindgame potential. Will have to give it to GF for this one.
-
A controversial pick would be Ghostface, in a good way of course. His trailer just made it too difficult for me to take him seriously, lol.
-
I have a feeling this is MMR taking effect. Scott Jund made a video on his theory about MMR being secretly activated, I recommend giving that a watch.
What I think is that this Wraith rarely plays as him or is doing a daily/or tome challenge. They have low level perks on him so that might help my point.
-
Sorry you're going through this, I honestly don't blame you for what you're going through.
Of course I don't know how it feels, so it's hard for me to sympathize, but the best I could do is hope the environment you live in gets safer. In fact I don't feel very safe either, but you're going through something worse.
I hope you're staying cozy during these tough times. 😊
-
I run Enduring, Spirit Fury, PGTW, and Surge on Legion.
For Myers I run Corrupt, PGTW, Oppression, and Bamboozle.
-
Oh boy, I'm gonna enjoy using DS for my survivor builds once the chapter releases. I'm glad it's finally a true anti-tunnel perk and not a 1-minute shield.
-
Cross progression's gonna be sweet when it comes out, can't wait to be able to play on Switch with my PC progress. I wonder if the Trapper's exclusive cosmetics from Switch can transfer to PC once cross progression is out?

Play and test what you want those people can shove off they don't have to wait more than 3 seconds as survivor versus your like 10 - 15 minutes lol.
Thanks man :)

Drop a relatively weaker pallet near the start of the game and then begin to start to pick it up. Usually in those 4 seconds you'll know if the killer is coming over. If they aren't pick it up, if they are are then keep channeling to the 2s mark and then when they're close enough pick it up. Took my friends 4 games using this method (I did it differently bit that differently also involved a rank 15 so I'm not sure it quite counts)
Tysm, gonna try that tomorrow!

I only played 5 or 6 test runs on the PTB, since the lobby times are actually insane, but from my experience they "mostly" fixed his collision and it feels great.
I tried playing on the Swamp, Autohaven and Ormond, with Autohaven having working collision on every asset that I tried, including the small pieces of trash scattered around, and Ormond + Swamp playing MUCH better too, although both had 1 tile that still made you slide off them (A picnic table without snow on/near it for Ormond + a random stump for the Swamp).
Still, while the chance exists that they broke already working collision with this and I just haven't noticed yet, I do appreciate them actually fixing the collision being screwed up on certain maps, since he did work "good enough" most of the time and could have been ignored.
Whoa... I really need to play more Blight games lol, sounds like the changes are a lotta fun. I did a Blight test round with an Ormond offering but I got called out during endgame for not playing the Trickster during the PTB, so I went back to playing Trickster.
-
I love Blight's fixed POV. Just a few questions for those who know about them:
- Is it just me, or is there like, no dark border that appears during a lethal rush anymore? Is that intentional, or just a bug?
- Any thoughts on the new collision update for Blight? Seems like I've been bumping into a lot more on Ormond.
-
Love his power and design, but he seems a tad too weak IMO. I feel like he deserves to be a 115% movement speed killer.
-
Oh man, the Any Means Necessary one is really hard, haven't gotten that one yet nor have I gotten the opportunity to get it done. I could really use some tips on that one...
-
Shack looping seems to do the job well. Maybe unsafe loops can actually force the Trickster to M1 to lose progression on the main event, or waste time trying to throw shards at you until they're all gone. I'm not sure if these two are effective.

@ClownIsUnderrated said:
The real big thing between Freddy and Clown is that one takes no skill to play as well as being a ripoff, the other is a thicc man who is incredibly underrated.
I agree, Clown is a hottie 🥵
-
I don't have friends that play DBD anymore so I'm quite a loner nowadays, which is why I main killer, so I can play by myself. I definitely wish I could play SWF for that fun experience.
-
I really like these ideas. I also think his teleportation ability can be nerfed to not be able to be cancelled during its use. One of his purple addons make it so you can't cancel his teleporting ability, so that should be enough for reference.
Hell, maybe it could work with a token-based system, where you have 3 tokens or something and teleporting to a generator consumes a token.
-
None of the endgame chats I've had have come close to these ones, it's crazy. Maybe I have but oh boy I'm a forgetful person.
Edit (an hour and 55 minutes later): WOW okay this aged horribly. I just had a game against a rank 10 Pig (I'm rank 7). Other 3 survivors had no idea what they were doing. They were downed quickly and crouching around the map. Turns out those guys were console grey ranks, so that's great. We got slugged, I was downed last. I ran her for about a minute and a half. She slugged me, put a RBT on my head, and waited 5 minutes just for me to die and then eventually she says "GG bois get gud."
Greatest game of all time.
-
SWFs are a fun little challenge to play against. I don't really care if they embarrass me, I try my best and that's all that matters to me.
-
I kinda like it, makes me feel special using Billy's default cosmetics with those pants, lol. I suppose they needed a placeholder for the outfit since it's ported from DBD mobile.
-
I'm surprised Saw even got in this game. Like who woulda thought they'd get the Saw license, and who woulda thought they could make it work in DBD?
Anyways, to answer your question, it's probably because the old fandom of FNAF is all people see out of it. Nowadays the FNAF fandom is mostly young adults/adults in general, so it shouldn't bring that many children into DBD. Say, even if it did, it wouldn't be an issue judging the DBD community. (no offense)
-
Okay a 4.7m/s killer would be pretty damn cool tho.
@musstang62 said:
Honestly, wraith/trapper/clown getting a buffed move speed of 4.7 or 4.8 m/s (instead of their usual 4.6 m/s) would help them out a lot, while still not making them anything close to top tier. I think it would be too much for most killers but it would be a great buff for weaker killers imo
Maybe Pig and Demogorgon (unsure about Demo) can use that as well?
-
If the PTB tomorrow fixes his POV I'm literally gonna force survivors to play against my Blight.
Jk lmao
-
Legendary skin for Trapper :O
-
Honestly for a mini Trapper buff, I think Trapper's Trapper Sack (starting with 1 extra trap and allow carrying another trap) and Logwood Dye (makes traps a little bit darker) should be basekit at this point. Trapper w/o addons is literally just a man with a machete, lol.
-
The Silent Hill chapter got me really happy when it released, so if that were the last licensed chapter I honestly wouldn't complain, but they're continuing with the licensed chapters so that's awesome. Demogorgon and Pyramid Head, two killers people didn't think would work in DBD has already proved almost anything's possible at this point.
-
BRUH! Peep this one, like really, peep this one! No more tunnelers! No more campers! No more 19 dollar skins! Noooo moreee teabaggers! You get SANDBAGGED!
-
Nemesis, Dying Light, Furtive Chase, and Rancor. Reward the survivor for stunning you or saving the obsession with an action speed boost, but at the cost of having themselves at risk during endgame thanks to Rancor. I call it, "Tag, you're it!"
-
This is kinda too small of a buff for it... I think Solidarity deserves a secondary part of it but idk what it should be.
-
That'd be an interesting change of pace. Now I'm really excited, lol.
-
If Blight gets nerfed I will literally gouge my eyes out. He's perfect in every way, even his appearance.
Wait, scratch the last part. -
Okay, this is gonna be an odd take.
I mean, people forget about queueing up. I feel like they can make a system to prevent AFK people from joining lobbies, like when a match is found then you can click to join or not. If the lobby has 0, 1, 2 or 3 players depending on what I'm about to say, you are given the option to join or not without a timer. Once 3 survivors (for survivors) or 4 survivors (for killers) have joined the lobby, the prompt stays for 15 seconds then goes away for other players. This allows room for another person to join in.
