  • Stop getting tilted over someone tapping a button. It's annoying sure but its ultimately meaningless. For someone with as many posts as you I'd assume you've been playing and posting for a while so its weird that a little taunting would upset you so much.

If messages are a problem than turn off chat and message notifications. It's what I did, worked great.

It's not, it doesn't "damage" the survivor directly so it's not considered (like throwing a bottle with Clown or putting a trap with Pig)

Can't say I used pwyf. Its a pretty terrible perk on anyone but Bubba. Even if this is new it should have counted anyway. Clowns bottles dont do damage and pigs traps are placed on an already downed survivor.

Plague can remove a health state and lock you in broken. I'd consider than an offensive action.

Maybe on old plague this would be fine but considering people actually cleanse now due to the corrupt pool buff, A permanent 130% ranged killer would be absolutely broken anyway. I wouldn't call fixing something so obviously broken a nerf.

Edit: whoopsie I misread that other post. Thought you meants that corrupt also worked like this. Either way I still stand by my original point.

  • It's an offensive action, so....?

The thing is, his hits aren't the only problem. He has way too many powers. Now I don't know if I'm just being a bad player or Freddy is way too op , at least on consoles

Its a common point of debate if he was overbuffed or not. I kinda think so but I don't think hes gamebreaking. I think a lot of people are so unused to having a strong killer that they can pick up and play that they're blinded towards long term game health due to how much they enjoy playing him.

He's definitely a noob stomper. I don't really ever see escapes vs Freddy outside of hatch in solo play.

I'd recommend playing him a bit to understand how his powers and teleport work.

  • His hits look misleading because hes very short and ontop of that he has a glove instead of a weapon. It's quite misleading.

He's very strong and if a killer has good fundamentals or you're playing solo then you're in for a very tough, long and boring game.

The best advice I can give you is to focus gens. Moreso than maybe any other killer. Only ever wake up if its a pallet freddy or a slowdown freddy, the effect it has on his teleport is negligable and theres not enough time in the match to use an alarm clock. Don't get greedy with looping. His snares are very strong. If you're at a wide loop and hes far off spamming snares it might be a good idea to try and break off to another nearby loop if possible.

My advice is legit and based on my experience take it or leave it.

I gave advice assuming the bubba your facing is running bamboozle because lets face it that is bubbas strongest perk hands down, and any good bubba will have it equiped. If he shuts down the window and you try and loop him at a pallet a smart bubba will just mind game you and catch you with his speed.

9 times out of 10 bubba will get you if you try to loop him unless its a very strong loop which in dbds current state their arent to many strong loops i would recommend looping vs bubba.

Why yes he can be looped but he leaves you with very little room for mistakes.

Unless you can loop almost flawlessly and time everything perfectly most of time hes going to get you.

Like quick example the shack, strongest pallet in the game vs most killers.

Not bubba if bubba chases you into the shack and bamboozled the window if you dont drop shack pallet you are guaranteed going to get downed unless bubba is a complete potato.

His speed and duration will 100% catch you before you make it back around to the pallet and thats not taking into account add ons.

No killer worth his salt is running a band aid perk like bamboozle. There aren't enough busted windows like shack per map for that outside of Vault god myers. And if he does block a window its only 16 seconds. You could easily get that out of a nearby pallet.

  • @EvilJoshy said:

Title. I've heard the devs are looking at her add ons. WE ALL KNOW what that means lol. What do you think? 10 second cd between throwing hatchets? Can only reload every min? :P

She now has to do skill checks at the locker. Failing will permanently remove that locker from use.

God I wish I could get into games with you guys who can't find bones. I really like Huntress' Lullaby even though it's considered very weak, getting 5 stacks and hearing constant explosions is hilarious to me. But I'd say in about 90% of games it'll be cleansed instantly, along with anything I use to defend or stall it, like Thrill of the Hunt, which means I can waste two perk slots often accomplishing basically nothing. I'm not even looking forward to Undying that much with my precious Lullaby because you lose all your tokens, instead of just like half or something.

Of course, NOED is a little different since it goes to a dull totem, but still, I see cleansed dull bones every match as well. I'd love to be able to run "bad" Hexes like Lullaby a little more safely without feeling like an idiot for bringing it. Would actually love if some of them like Lullaby would just get an extra token for every remaining totem not being used by a different Perk, and would get weaker with each cleanse, rather than building up power over the match. At least that way it'd last a bit longer and get some good initial early game delay that could still be countered by people just hitting their skillchecks.

I realize this is all me just complaining about wanting to use a bad Hex, but it's sooo fun when it works!

Huntress would be great if it didn't give a notification until the first token to get the ball rolling. I get why, its because of the bonus regression thats always active but its really not a good risk reward power VS say, Devour or noed.

Howdy ho hi everybody I'm looking for some tips against this bastard.

I was on winning spree until I encountered him and there was no chance.

Tips against him? Any....*looks around* nerf planned?

I don't have any problem against any other killer really. I promise. only him.

Windows are very strong but be prepared to hop back over if he extends his power.

Not to be a dick but Billymains advice is terrible. He can be looped you just need to know when you're pushing your luck and drop the pallet early. If you time it right you can stun him right out of the attack. Don't try to mindgame shorter loops if hes revving his chainsaw because you won't win.

And pay attention to if there are any vaults around when running and the optimal way to get the fast vault. Hes strong now but his counterplay is still kind of basic, just not as good as it was.

The problem is, against a killer with a mori, even if they're not great they can usually mori the first guy off hook and then the gens slow down massively. Cutting the survivor team down by 1/4 is not an insignificant hurdle, which is why so many NOED users also run moris.

True but moris tend to skew the balance of the game completely anyway. I don't use them outside of challenges myself. Same with keys and (I dont know what they're called now that they arent instaheals) instaheals.

from my experience its only when playing killer and its the most noticeable when playing that role since its in first person. play hag, plague, doc, or freddy and you will notice it however it only is problematic like once every few matches where it gets so bad frames drop to 10 or 20 for second or two.

Survivor is mostly fine outside of insane freezes when a notification like sloppy butcher or noed pops up. Basically a full second freeze.

It's an accurate use of the word for being only able to perceive one's own feelings and not that of those whom they interact with.

Anyway, have you guys not heard of the concept of baiting? Sure, mechanically speaking she gets to react to you. When you add baiting to the mix you reverse the situation and force her to react to your bait which in turn allow you to react. Reactive is a disadvantage. I don't know how old you are but in any profession everyone's constantly finding ways to be proactive rather than reactive because the proactive person is in control.

Afraid she might phasewalk for real? move away then 360 or feint left, then immediately double back without scratch marks if she's still not moving. It's not that different from looping a killer after vaulting the window at the shed, you fake one direction then go the other way.

And no, it is not a "guessing game". A decent spirit that's in a chase against you will have awareness of the map and know that you will be going for the nearest vault. There are always elements in the environment that will create bias in your decisions. It is never "50/50".

"Doesn't matter in the heat of the chase"? That is a reflection of your poor skill as a survivor to manage your anxiety and actively analyze your environment. Managing the environment, your stress/anxiety, and anticipating the other player is always part of any competitive game.

It's pretty easy to tell when someones double backed as Spirit for me. The majority of survivors tend to huff and puff when sprinting and for a few seconds after. You can hear it quite easily from behind and just come to a halt when it veers off. If they're injured than its curtains for them.

Bills and Ash dont stand a chance.

Just do bones! I don't see the problem, if you don't do totems you're just being a lazy entitled survivor main.

These are all from the last week, by the way. Every time I've run into NOED it's been in one of these kinds of builds.

Sarcasm aside, could someone give me tips on how to find the time to "just do bones" on a map like Lery's when I'm a solo survivor against an ebony mori and/or face camping killer? Thanks.

I tend to prioritise bones meself. Small game is a godsend for a solo queuer but it could really do with a totem counter token system. The only time "do bones" has no strength is against an actually good killer who can end chases quickly. At that point you really don't have a choice but to try and do all the gens and play around it.

Thankfully good killers rarely use NOED outside of niche endgame builds so its not a big issue.

And guessing is the purpose of Spirit and how BHVR intended on her to be used!

All this Spirit complaining but nobody ever stops to think why she's being used so much!

As a Spirit main, I play Spirit because there will be times were I don't wanna play Ring Around The Rosie with survivor's just to spoon feed them counterplay no matter how right or perfect I play my cards!

Y'all have a problem with guessing and just hoping that y'all made the right call, killer's like Wraith, Pig, Legion, etc, have to mindgame survivor's and hope that the move they make was the right thing to do in order to make survivor make a mistake!

The point that I'm trying to get at is that neither side likes guessing and that obviously means the looping needs to be looked at!

She's being used so much for the same reason Freddy IS and Nurse ISN'T. They're extremely strong and extremely simple to play/learn and require little mechanical skill.

Her animation doesn't replay, stop with this nonsense, @ScottJund already debunked this, and predicting is basically guessing what she's going to do, what happen if she doesn't do that? A mind game killer isn't a "Now you have to guess where I am hehe".

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VOHy-NA2qaY

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G4bsPIdct_Q

Exactly. The mindgame aspect of her is busted because there are too many possiblities. Which is why its a terrible defense of her strength.

Its not a fighting game where "oh I got hit by this, okay he'll either go for a low or an overhead here or maybe he'll back off and trying to trick me" where you can potentially play around it IF you're smart and experienced. She can come from literally anywhere and you can't even get it down to a timing. She also has tons of feedback on you. But you don't even know if shes actually phasing. She could just be standing on the other side of the pallet and you'd have no knowledge of it being a fake out.

That Scott video encapsulates it perfectly where he says "survivors want to be able to use their skills they've learned to try and play against the power." But theres no skill involved for the survivor. There is for Spirit and thats probably why shes so much more fun to play than Wraith or Ghostface among others.

The survivors have to attempt to act unpredictable (practically impossible against sounds) and hope the Spirit makes the wrong choice. There is for Spirit and thats probably why shes so much more fun to play than Wraith or Ghostface among others. You don't trick a spirit she messes up her phase.

Survivors: stop running urban evasion and hiding in corners

    Killers: stop camping and tunneling.

If it weren't for the terrible queue times, I'd have crossplay 100% turned off as survivor. I can't count how many urban evading survivors hiding in corners I've seen in just this morning's matches. Then a 95% heal and doesn't commit with the killer coming back. You are killing us more than the killers!

You make posts like this, yet I only just turned on cross play on PC earlier. And a perfect example is my last stage against a legion. 2 purple rank fengs continually running to and getting downed at a gen above the basement. I unhook and save both of them and they immediately run back to the same gen, don't heal and get downed the exact same way and COMPLETELY THROW THE GAME.

Meanwhile the cross play, I assume console David finishes my gen I started, jukes a legion to waste his power, finishes 2 more and works on another before I'm chased and hooked.

Both platforms have potato morons. In my experience the larger community on PC seems to mean more MRs sneaking around doing nothing.

  • @White_Owl said:

I play her with Predator because sounds are too inconsistent, it helps a lot to understand where they are going or if they are trying some cheeky mindgame.

I honestly find it way harder to follow scratch marks with Predator. I wish they;d make it so scratch marks are light blue or something as well with that perk. Some maps with it will hide them entirely under grass.

  • I agree with Nurse. I don't get to play against her very often. People often quit against real good nurses so I don't really get to see how a proper match plays against her.

Spirit I just dislike the randomness. With any other killer I can point out where I went wrong to take the hit but with her you just have to pray you ended up on the right side of the pallet or window. It wouldn't destroy her to give even a small indicator if shes starts phasing imo. I've always found it to be a weird compromise that you can't hear the phase in a chase but can hear it in the TR. She plays off sounds and not scratch marks anyway. It would at least give the chance to try and misdirect her.

Quick question. I see the term "camping pallets" popping up a lot right now. What does this mean? I don't see anyone "camp" a pallet. If you mean running to a pallet when chased that seems a weird thing to complain about as its the first and (really) only line of defense a survivor has against most killers. Weird thing to say if that's the case.

I wish I got to play against more Demogorgons and Pigs. I always enjoy those matches even if 95% of my pig games I don't get seen the entire match than get a beartrap at the last gen.

Then you aren't going against good Spirits. Don't mean to sound condescending. That's just how it is.

  • The good ones don't. The problem is that makes up about 2% of Spirit players. And the end results almost always the same as if they'd just used it anyway.

    PIG.

need to slow down to sneak.

    need charge time to charge

need down someone to set trap.

which cause her no gen pressure and no anti loop ability.

    plague

her m2 flying speed are too slow.

and make people sick to tier 2 csot too much time.

which is longer than m1 to down them most of time.

and the sick ability can just been heal +1 health state heal with in 3 sec is hurting her a lot.

which cause her need lot of set up time but can be healed in few sec.

and because of her puke flying speed is too slow.

her red M2 is not that kind of useful.

once you know how to play huntress.

you would be surprise how weak plague is.

    MM

just let the limit to stark be recharge with time.

MM should not be punished by turn to tier 3 oftenly.

    legion

    I don't know

he is kind of special one.

his ability doesn't help him to down someone.

but in the other hand it help him to have map pressure and gen pressure.

i think him would be fine?

he is kind of weak now

    but with next DLC's perk.

legion would be stronger with ruin+undiying+surveillance.

so i guess we need to wait to see how well he would be.

    clown

all his ability do is anti-loop.

but even then his anti-loop is still weaker than other anti-loop killer.

i thought he need some buff to his smoke to make him viable.

    billy

bring back his charge time add-on

he need it to use his ability in a loop.

right now it is really not have a chance to use it in a loop.

If you give billy the ability to actually properlly be anti loop they'd have to limit him some other way like making him 110% or ruining the chainsaw dash even further.

He really wasn’t that bad, I just miss the Easter eggs of the old Freddy.

You had to have good fundamentals about mindgaming and herding survivors as a killer with old Fred. And knowing when to drop a chase and let the survivor waste time trying to wake up. Some of the posts on here I see make me think thats quite the rarity nowadays.

  • My major problem with Spirit is bad spirits suck to play against because they won't get any hooks and it leads to a very boring, easy escape.

Mediocre spirits will just get a free win by picking Stridor and using some headphones jacked up.

And good spirits will absolutely decimate you with no resistance no matter what perks you use or try to do in a chase. I feel like if a killer is going to be as overwhelmingly strong and impossible to read as Spirit they need some short of shortcoming but she doesn't.

Most strong chase killers suffer in other areas to balance it out. Deathslinger (as much as I also dislike playing against him) is a good example. A good DS SUCKS to play against because of the ratio of killer/survivor power in a chase flies out the window against him. But because his map pressure is so crappy he can still be easily beaten by focusing gens.

Or billy. Billy has great mobility and an instadown but he can be looped and is reduced to a basic killer near strong windows. Near a dead zone or a pallet that another player already used? Billys got you. He's still a top tier and incredibly popular with killers and survivors despite this.

Her power regens incredibly fast so even if she messed up and misses a lunge out she can try again in about 10 seconds and the survivor has to take a random action and hope she makes a bad play. Her map pressure is actually decent because of aforementioned regen time and phase speed/time.

I adore playing Spirit, I think shes incredibly fun to play as. But having a killer that seems to be averaging at least 1 DC in all my recent matches is giving me Freddy launch flashbacks.

Im watching videos of old Dead by Daylight and I can say that it looked way more scarier. Then Freddy appeared, there is something unique about old Freddy boi. His play style was different back then and he was pretty amazing now that I’m thinking about it. I would trade new Freddy for Old Freddy any day. His play style was different, exciting, and challenging. Back then he required more skill, now even a baby could play him. I’m not asking for a change, just simply remembering the good times I’ve had 4ks with Freddy. Anyway, do anyone else miss old Freddy?

Old Freddy took half a brain to play well, but the skill celing was just as low as new freddy. He was pigeonholded into just using the same perk builds. Swf destroyed him. And not just in the case of "4 man sweat squad 1%" but a casual relatively new team could easily bust him wide open with comms.

He was only enjoyable in very niche circumstances. I don't miss the aura reading aspect though. That was always terrible.

I mained old Freddy and the 100 second gate build was my favorite build on any killer ever but at least new Freddy is actually a threat. Even if he's a little TOO easy play well with.

  • I hope I can merge my tome/rift progress and cosmetics. Cross purchased DLC would be nice but I'm not holding my breath on that. Thanks for the info. I really hope you guys can try to get xbox and ps4 cross saves.

Damn son I understand Clown but how you gonna do that to my Mikey.

But I can't imagine a killer is having actual fun just standing by a hook looking around and saying "any minute now" for two minutes while I zoom through gens. Than instadowning because claudette went for a no bt save at the last second and doing it again. It's weird.

You blink at their butt, you swing slightly later, so you hit them at the end of deadhard. Unless they are weak, then you swing instantly and they won't have time to react, especially with these servers.

And yes... its a slight overexaggeration... but still... if you blink well there is no counterplay.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1583675#Comment_1583675

Another issue with nurse and why there are not so many people playing as her is that her bugs make her so frustrating.

And deathslinger... i can only imagine what top ds players could do with small cracks in the walls that you can shoot througth... Jesus Christ it scares me.

I reached a point where I was doing pretty okay with Nurse in low ranks. No where near high tier, not even remotely but I was having fun. But the constant indoors maps with invisible areas I couldn't blink through and blinking underground on a two story map just because I was 1 degree to low to go forward instead of down is what made me stop playing her.

This is scummy as hell and I know there probably isn't much to be done about it on the devs side, they'd have no real way of punishing this, it's just infuriating to me that it happens so often. I just needed to rant and see if anyone else shares this sentiment or perhaps has a differing perspective? Maybe I'm not seeing it from all angles.

    Appreciate your time.

People that do this without BT are potentially throwing an entire match away for some BP and a safety pip. It's infuriating.

  • On the subject of Nurse. I see people who play this game as an actual job like Otz and Zubat with 6000 hours who all agree that Nurse played at her highest level by a human player Is absolutely busted and gamebreaking. But there are very, very few top level nurses so its not really an issue. And with the recent change to her blinks its harder to learn her than ever.

Like Deathslinger, the reason they aren't more complained about is that very few players reach that very high skill ceiling.

Exactly, the fact that he's fun to play is imo extremely important as in DBD right now there isnt alot of those killers.

True, I'd take a 100 god tier demogorgans over the current tidal wave of boosted spirits and freddos.

    Yes 100%

Him being strong really isn't the problem.

It's how rediculously easy he is to play compared to how strong he is.

Even Spirit is waaaay harder to master than freddy, honestly.

His passive sleep timer is in my opinion just waaay to strong and does way too much for the freddy player, without him having to do anything for it.

The only "real" counterplay to freddy is to stay awake.

In order to do that you have to fail a skill check, find an awake teammate or go to a clock to wake yourself up.

This gives freddy free information (failed skill check) and huge slowdown because survivors are forced to stay awake every 60 seconds.

No killer has this much passive pressure like freddy does.

The only thing i want to see to make freddy more balanced is to make the sleep timer longer, survivors being able to go the every clock or my favourite change :

Make the sleep timer pause as soon as you entered a chase with freddy.

I feel like this sums up my frustration with the killer better than any of my recent posts. It annoys me how much is just handed to him for free. His chase power is fine. His teleport is mostly OK. But together with all the free map pressure and slowdown that is just HANED to him doesn't sit right with me.

It's very hard to tell a good freddy from a bad freddy because he doesn't have to work for it and will often stumble into wins just through attrition.

Maybe base Freddy is perfectly okay balance wise. But no one plays that. They play pop/corrupt, maybe ruin and spirit fury or enduring. Than the true scumbags will pop on noed just for a giggle knowing that if they have 2 brain cells that gate isnt getting opened, let alone the totems being gone. A good start would be just removing the slowdown add ons ENTIRELY and then judging him from there. If he's still stupid oppressive at all ranks take another look.

  • True, I didn't have a great time when playing him but had no slowdown perks unlocked so I didn't get much time to set up my portals every match.

For a long while now many of us have wanted some tweaks to the flowery death monster however its seems to have fallen on deaf ears as there's been no mention of any form of tweaks to this sadly very underwhelming killer.

The main thing he needs is an addon rework as this killer is sadly addon dependent but his addons are about as useful as a david with no mither and self care.

I do hope BHVR tweak this killer as he is currently design whise the most unique killer in the game and its a shame you never see him. So my question is, Devs have you forgotten demogorgon or do you have other pressing matters to attend to? If so will he ever be buffed or will he remain a rarity in this realm of The Entity?

    Thank for reading.

    TLDR: plz boof Demobegorgondorgon

I've been trying him a bit recently but have only played against him twice in recent memory.

I'm not denying he's much more time efficient than the other killers.

I guess where we're disagreeing is if he's too efficient. For how fast games go against good survivors I think the speed he does chases is near mandatory.

Since you think he's too fast with his chases, what would you call a fair timed chase? Like what other killer would you use as a good example. Other than the few top tier killers the rest are all way too slow to compete imo.

I don't run timers when I play so I don't have answer for that. I've gravitated more towards Cannibal and Doctor recently. I think they're pretty fair and well balanced from a no players using perks perspective.

Chase times are also massively variable for indivdual killers if we bring perks into the occasion. Even against a good survivor the builds I use will often end the first chase/early game chases in less than 40-50 seconds. Anything worse than that is a bad chase for me and if there are still jungle gyms/pallet farms nearby I'll break off and find another survivor. It's very rare for a survivor to be enough of a loop god to be able to run me around for that long though. Once a fair few pallets are gone, say, mid game, the timer tanks down to about 30. Less if I'm playing an insta down. Although this is relying on their not being a strong vault loop nearby.

"demo is one of the weakest killers" doesnt mean demo is #########. Also by that logic, every killer is amazing because as you said he requires a lot of time to learn (Adapt Demo btw). so there is no weakest killer ig?

Also you said you liked someones ideas for changes so.......what are you even getting mad at me for lol. Im not personally attacking your or even demo just that he needs to be buffed which you apparently agree with!

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1582285#Comment_1582285

How do you fix that though, unlike Demo, Clown, and Legion there isn't a clear path because his problem isn't with his power but with SWF. I think everyone agrees the killer should get some kind of buff against SWF but it still wouldn't help Trapper. He was made when SWF wasn't a thing so i think his flaw might be unfixable, instead of catching people by survive his traps basically now restricted to closing of loops and pathways which isn't useless but you know. It is what it is I just want him to have a mori where he smashes someone's head into one of his bear traps

I don't really know. Trapper is just outdated. That's all there is to it. He's a relic of old dbd with its super long gens and ruin. Other killers have similar powers that are much more flexible, fun and just better.

  • Multiple problems can exist and be discussed at any given time. Look at the constant "this killer perk is op/this survivor perk is op" threads. Heck, theres a thread complaining about bodyblocking right now. A good 60% of the threads on here are total garbage and it muddys the perception of the ACTUAL balancing issues right now.

That said it definitely comes in waves. Like the noed/ds threads.

A lot of people hold these very valid opinions but don't discuss them openly on the forums or make threads because they immediately get jumped and screamed at "You're just salty [BLANK] player. [BLANK] is fine get good. You're just mad [BLANK] doesn't work when playing [BLANK].". When they see other people posting about it it shows them that their POV is worth posting.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Demo isn't anywhere close to being as bad and as map dependent as Trapper.

Buff Trapper before anything else in the game. Please for the love of god.

Trappers mostly guess based system, and the fact that a single player seeing him lay his traps from behind a rock decimates him completely, AND the fact that set-up killers are weaker than ever right now. Means he'll probably suck forever.

"I would argue that the Clown has limited supplies he can use around that loop much like Huntress. Both get slowed and have to replenish their supply is they misplay."

That's a fair argument. However, my counter would be that Clown is currently weak and shouldn't actually be that bad. So we're comparing him to a killer that most acknowledge needs changes.

Also, Huntress isn't quite a fair comparison because yeah she has a slow down and reload, but that's because she can throw over the pallet/many walls and can hit you cross map.

"Freddy has no such issue and can lay 5 around the loop in seconds to shut it down if he wants to. Than if you try to run to another he can just do it again free of charge."

If we include chase time to the loop, laying the traps and then actually getting a hit, how long do you think it is gonna take?

I ask this because the survivor can still waste a good bit of his time before actually getting the hit. We're in a game balance where you need a pallet or a hit in roughly 15 seconds for each chase or you lose...

I'm implying that while he makes the chase quite short, it needs to be. It's the reason almost all the other M1 killers aren't that good, because they can't reliably get hits in remotely that time against good survivors. So compared to the other killers, yeah it's fast...but it needs to be. That's why he's one of the few viable killers against "good" survivors and most the others aren't.

The Clown is the killer I want reworked the most despite my gripes with other killers. Poor guy. I did exploit the messed up mmr to play him again I'll admit.

I disagree on the chase time aspect. With most other killers you're spot on but not with Freddy. He often saves any time lost in a chase with a teleport to a gen afterwards and than some if using slowdown add ons or perks. I feel like he has the most time of any killer at the point in time. Most games a hook can gain you more time than you lose.

Laying traps is no significant time loss because there isnt any slowdown and the animation can be attack cancelled. And for the getting the hit part. Sure the first few chases might be somewhat long even with how incredibly fast you can trap a loop to force a pallet drop. But once those pallets are dropped or potentially broken chases will go shockingly fast as Freddy. And again, with certain add on combos he can gain significant time back from each hook.

  • It's been pretty pointless since the exhaustion change. I don't think you're rework idea is terrible. Something like "Recover exhaustion while sprinting at 50% of normal speed". So 80 seconds if sprinting for the whole cooldown. No chase should ever last that long anyway.

But it might be good if you accidentally waste sprint burst or dead hard when a teammate pops up and spooks you at a gen or leads the killer to you and your cooldown only has a few seconds left.

Another idea is immunity to status effects like Blindness, Hemorrage, Mangled, etc. Obviously not exposed that would be insane. But most add ons or perks that inflict those effects are locked until you go down or get healed so it could be useful.

So I was playing against a Pig when a strange noise came from behind me. Luckily I was safe enough to record it. Can anybody watch the video and help me understand what this is?

Never heard that before. Did you have anything playing outside the game?

Guess I need to clarify myself so the entitled 'Killer mains' (maining is stupid, play the whole game) don't have an aneurism...I am not suggesting some ridiculous hard nerf, just slowing him down, be it when using an ability OR just slightly reducing base movement speed.

Don't worry, their catchphrases have been thrown out. There'll be no debate here.

  • @Freesham said:

I feel like Demo is only a decent and consistent killer if you're running STBFL, feels mandatory on him.

I feel like most of my hits come from his shred. Though despite its insane travel speed I do get juked out of it quite often.

  • Oh boy the strawman brigade has arrived!

No one with a brain wanted Billy nerfed.

No one with a brain wanted Nurse's base kit touched.

Spirit is a touchy subject on here for some reason. She's controversial for sure.
