So literally every Killer is unfair because you can't be bothered to pay attention and get better?
Okay, dude.
He's not wrong about Huntress' hitbox for her hatchets being absolute bullshit. The devs themselves are aware of this because they tried to change it once.
-
I mean, OP isn't wrong about recent killers being pretty boring. I feel like every killer since Slinger sans Twins is just sort of the same thing.
That's why I'm being driven away from the game. Disappointing new content.
-
If survivors didn't leave after pallet vacuum or the last 5 killers being mind numbingly dull in chases they aren't going to leave now.

Tunneling involves a 2nd survivor unhooking the survivor that is going to be tunneled. You're not going to see very many generators going off when you only have 2 that might be working on them during all this tunneling going on. Also often times survivors try to save camped survivors which also slows down gen progression. In matches where I see killers tunneling down the first hooked survivor, they usually end up dead and another survivor injured or downed while I am left wondering how 2 of us are going to complete gens and try to make a save so we don't have to do 5 gens on our own.
To be fair if you know the killer is hard camping/tunneling its very easy to complete the gens and get out, assuming the survivor doesn't kill themself on the hook, but if 1 player repeatedly wastes time running near the hook or unhooking them and leaving them to die it can lead to a very one sided game.
Outside of playing Nurse there aren't many things a killer (even a really good killer just playing a killer like Shape or Clown) can do to stop a good team that focuses gens and knows how to optimally use pallets.

It's not toxic. It's the main objective and gen rushing finishes it as fast as possible. Like tunneling finishing the killer's objective as soon as possible. The only toxic things are tea bagging and hook hitting. And some others
What this guy said.
I imagine what most (legitimate) complaints about gen rushing are complainung about isnt actually the survivors themselves. It's that the survivors have so many tools to extend chases ASWELL as quickly finish gens.
Heck, use Lethal Pursuer for a day and count how many games 2 survivors spawn on 2 seperate gens on the other end of the map and both are 60% before you're even close enough to start a chase.
-
My only problem is how fast the flash is. The perk is fine outside of that.
-
Control an area of the map, don't just brainlessly commit to chases and get baited to the other end. Run slowdown perks, use ones that you have more control over if you hate Ruin. Get better at playing tiles with red stain mindgames, etc
-
No way is this true. I refuse to believe that many people play both sides considering how hilariously one sided most threads are in this place.

I mean, that is his intended play style. The uncloak mechanic causing a delay in attack is meant to be a deterrent to using it mid chase.
Look at his perks. They pretty much scream “injure them first, find them again later”
True, but he never had the capability to do that. Now that he's had a few decent buffs for chasing and map pressure it turns out that a very very boring playstyle.

I only play Wraith now without addons otherwise it just feels like a cheap win. Wraith used to be my second main killer - ever since his buff I have played him maybe a dozen times because it just doesn't feel challenging or rewarding.
I think he's just a noob stomper/solo queue stomper now. Especially hit and run. Hit and run is incredibly boring to play as/against too. It's a shame. I never thought I'd see Wraith become boring.

Most of the threads i see are basically "nerf survs"
I noticed that, if someone dares to defend survs, or having opinions against killer gameplay, hes immediatly, most of the time, called a "Sluzzy", mocked, not being taken serious, while all the ones blaming survs and anything that concerns them gets tons of upvotes..
It's my impartial point of view tho.
It feels like a pretty even split to me. Just killers seem more vocal.
Thought judging by the complaints on both sides most players here aren't very good but think they are.

I usually treat my first 2 matches as warmups and don't take them too seriously.

I just had a game where I killed one survivor, hooked another, and then noticed that a third survivor had escaped (the HUD showed the escape icon). Well, whatever. Must have had a key, right? So the hooked survivor eventually starts to die, and before the death animation ends, I find the last survivor...
Standing on top of the unopened hatch.
Stab him just as the hatch is opening (NOED), hook him, he dies.
How did the third survivor escape?
Could have been a hatch, though I've had a glitch at least twice where I've fallen out the map and teleported into an exit gate at 4/5 gens. And I couldn't get back in so I just left.

This. I used to sweat for the 4K every game. Nowadays I just go for a decent number of hooks and a safety pip or pip (unless I'm in a REALLY sweaty mood).
And the best part? Because I'm not specifically going for the win, I don't -need- slowdown perks in my build. I can try doing some weird ######### with my perks. It's great.
-
If you think its strong now just wait until the reworked version for servers comes out and survivors aren't exhausted on the floor anymore.
There's probably been a hundred times you've gotten a down on someone that actually pressed E but latency ate the dodge.
-
Probably adrenaline. Though I'm getting close to the end of my rope with solo queue and thinking of just slapping on Kindred and Windwos of Opportunity permanently.

Not to mention bubba can just pull out his saw at every pallet and break it and have the saw back like...2 seconds later? If that. Bubba has overtaken billy i feel now as a very good bubba can keep up the pressure and his camping potential makes him good as well. Theres just advantages bubba and oni have over billy.
He can even straight up counter BT now with just yellow chilli. It's crazy.
It's crazy to think that no one used to play bubba and everyone played billy. Now its the opposite.

What are your faves?
I'm a big fan of Otz, ScottJund, and Zub.
Jendenise and Geistra are always fun to watch and funny as hell but I know there's a few people on here who will probably be triggered by that (omg toxic survivors).
Zub is extremely good at the game and hilarious to watch.
Otz is incredibly knowledgeable and makes fantastic video, heck, I watched his 2 hour long perk video despite already knowing it all lol.
Dowsey is also another great streamer. Very good player and informative.
Overall though, there's just so many streamers for this game lol.

You can have 3 amazing players and lose because one player was a weak link or went down too quickly every chase. That's why solo queue sucks

His whips hitbox is pretty wacky. So he´s prone to miss even very close hits. Compare that to Huntress or Pizzahead. Which both are much stronger then Nemesis.
It seems incredibly inconsistent with waist high objects, which doesn't seem intentional. I'd consdier him significantly stronger than those two at the kind of loops you get in the center of Azarov's, for example. Huntress has tons of clipping issues on those and using PPs projectile on those is a crapshoot, at least until the pallet drop starts.

Why? If the Gates are open, the game will go on for a maximum of 4 minutes. So at this point, there will be an end to the game.
Because its not giving me free kills REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

@CakeDuty said:
It isn't really supposed to. It's just a way to make the game end.
This, it was there to stop survivors from just crouch walking around maps when the killer found the hatch first or the gens were too close.
It was a compromise that was sort-of a buff in specific scenarios for killers.

So since DBD fixes everything besides their bugs that kick people out out and make them lose points I’m now a rank 9, I was a 4. I’m getting killers who either camp or tunnel. Is this the new strategy for people who suck? You get no points for camping and tunneling so why do it, it’s not fun for either.
Adrenaline DS and Dead hard. Seriously if your team is half decent you should be able to run them long enough to get a nice long teabag at the gate.
Most tunnelers suck at killer, just like most toolbox SWF squads suck at chases. Exploit that.
-
There's a lot of good Pig players out there despite her not being the strongest....
is what I would say if I hadn't had one player tunneled to death (with an active helmet) in literally every single Pig game I've played against in the last 6 months. Like, Dude, you're just throwing away free pressure. C'maaaaaaaan
-
I think Nemesis can potentially snowball better once everyones infected and/or injured late game, the whip is a lot faster and easier to hit with than Punishment, especially in the open or round windows. It's very easy to split off from your teammates if a Pyramid jumps you.
But I think Pyramid is way better from the get go, no need to "build up" power or infect, 110% while using the trail of the damned aswell as the ability to potentially shut down a loop if the survivor is scared of being caged and losing perk access. And while it doesnt come into play often being able to hit through walls can be good against gens near walls. I just wish 90% of PPs didn't tunnel through DS. Every PP I play against is so predictable in that way.

I really don't keep tabs on my game. It makes me feel like I'm playing the game as a job when all I'm trying to do is sit back, relax and have some fun time.
Same honestly. I feel like this is why I'm glad DBD has no stats page. I'd get hung up on it like I tend to in other games, even when I don't really care about any endgame.

I see a lot of complaining on here about how awful and difficult it is to play killer, how unfair the game is, yet most of you are killer mains. So why is that?
I played killer only for a long time and it was just too easy. After that initial learning of the game, I never had to get better or develop new skill so I switched to survivor. I also like the teamwork aspect. So, why do you continue to play killer if it’s so bad and makes you angry?
Because outside of fringe matches, it isn't. I can count the amount of teams I play against monthly (at peak and mid day EU times) on one hand. And I mainly stick to lower/mid tier killers.
Most of the killers you see complaining are new, if they were around in 2016/17 dbd they'd find most of the killer complaints here laughable.
Honestly its perk and maps that annoy me nowadays, not so much the difficulty of playing against strong loopers. There's some maps where their lame design ( midwich, Hawkins) make me not want to even try, and then there's maps that are just plain unfair with how unmindgameable pallets can be.
Sure, every now and then, maybe once a fortnight I'll get decmiated in a completely unfair one sided match by a strong SWF. But not enough to make me come on here crying about it like most seem to.
At the end of the day, nearly 5 years in I still enjoy killer to a degree. I just wish the devs started actually trying with new killer powers. They're either creative but frustrating to play (twins is a good example) or a carbon copy of an existing killer that gets dull within 2 weeks.
-
I'd prefer it if it were yellow when persuing.
The amount of times I've ran to a zombie with its arms out and theres no one there in a wide empty space is crazy.
-
No, I tend to remember the particularly fun ones but they feel fewer and further between nowadays. This just seems like way too much effort for no real payoff.
-
I just use the sabo perk now, the add on change made it too unreliable to bring your speedy saw add ons in solo queue.
-
Rushing gens and using vaccinnes. Even if he gets fast downs as long as your teammates do the Hold W on that infection hit its a pretty easy win. I've pretty much only lost as survivor when one player has made an astoundingly stupid play that snowballs the whole team.

It would be so nice if there was some kind of mechanic where you could get rid of infected status.....SIIGHH I guess we will just never be able to deal with OP killers that take 3 hits to down someone, hopefully BHVR releases a 4 hit killer next. Now THAT would be a fun killer to vs!
Wait, I thought we were being upset about infection hits being jkust hold W to win, now we're encouraging using the vaccines that just make him worse to play?
He's boring for both sides.

His "power" is that he needs to hit survivors a 50% more often to get a down, than any other killer.
Huntress has it far easier to down survivors through pallts and windows. Yet, people complain that they should nerf a already weak killer.
I started counting how often i face Nemesis as solo on red ranks and its less than once in 10 matches. People already stopped playing him on high ranks, because he just can´t compete with the gen speeds.
I don't want him nerfed, I think he's pretty mediocre. But its a Spirit or Legion situation where the only outcome of not getting hit is the killer being bad. A weak killer that isn't fun to play against is the worst of both worlds. Not even mentioning the fact that his power is just a hollow copy of Pyramid.

I do think he readies it a bit too fast, maybe have it slower on 1 and 2 and make level 3 faster. Right now the additional 1 meter is helpful but it doesn't feel like a big enough deal. If it was slower at start but overall faster at level 3 that'd be a cool buff.

Nemesis, Twins (I don’t mind them but majority do), Deathslinger, Legion, Spirit, Clown, Freddy, Hag all suck to go against, and most of them are extremely common! I haven’t seen an Oni in weeks, not sure why freaking Legion is more popular than one of the most powerful killers
They ran out of ideas for strong, fun, fair killer powers around Deathslinger.
Look at every killer released since then. They've either been just a blatantly weaker version of an existing killer, or they're a low or zero counterplay "pallets/vaults are a free hit for me tee hee hee". I mean, Pyamid head already felt uninspired and look at Nemesis a year later. He's almost the same killer, even with the same gameplay at pallets.
They don't have any ideas left for strong, likeable killers like old Billy or Oni. Blight was the last one.
I would argue that Oni was the last truly great killer they added from a fun perspective for both sides. A good Oni is terrifying to face but you never feel like you were cheated or pushed into a lose/lose situation like the last few killers.
Heck, as weak as he is, have you ever faced Trickster on a map with no or very few high walled tiles? It's an instant chase loss because even if you dodge 10 knifes there's another 50 minimum coming your way.
The last year or two of killer releases have been exclusively designed around one sided fun.

He has counterplay. Hold Shift + W. If he is close, force him to m1. You can dodge him tentacle. You can make him run around pallet. He is same like PH. If you can play againts PH, Nemesis will not be problem for you.
Exactly, the infection speed boost IS his counterplay. That in itself is a problem because no one finds the shift W aspect of chases at all fun. And no, you can't dodge the tentacle if the player is good. When a survivor makes it clear they're attempting to juke you either go for an angle strafe hit and get it or you wait it out and they'll duck back into it. That's all there is to it.
-
@NomiNomad said:
When other killers that require multiple hits, (mainly trickster and Plague) don't give the survivor a speed boost, I don't really think it's necessary.
Trickster doesn't grant a speed boost until the Survivor is actually injured, and Plague straight up doesn't give a speed boost.
I don't think Nemesis' tentacle is as hard to hit as people say (even if the hitbox feels a little thin at time) but I don't think this would make him overpowered. He still has a fatigue afterwards.
But, if BHVR takes anything from this, it'd probably be "Nerf Plague"
This is how I feel.
A good team will exploit the vaccinnes and the infection hit to the max, but when Nem has that infected survivor at a loop.... that's pretty universally a free down for him, even if you go for an early pallet drop chances are you'll get hit over it as he can ready his power faster (and quieter) than huntress.
I get that right now he's weak because of this but I think removing the speed boost would be catastrphic and launch his kill rate into the skies, most likely resulting in heavy nerfs anyway. I'd rather he stay relatively fun/fair and mid tier then hated and constantly get DCed against.
Remove vaccinnes if you have to but removing that speed boost is removing his only counterplay right now.

Nemesis is incredibly strong once he has you infected and at a tile, the problem is getting there. And I'm not sure how you could make him a strong threat in the early game without having a very easy, very strong killer.
My only real problem with him right now is hitting over waist high objects is incredibly inconsistent.

Spending 30+ seconds chasing someone down hallways before a chase even registers isn't very fun. And if you drop chase you'll have to search another side and potentially up another floor to find someone.
its a great recreation of Midwich with some fun easter eggs for fans but its not great to play on.
-
You're mistiming it. Watch some videos.
-
Killer gameplay is balanced around slowdown. It always has been. I've been playing no slowdown nemesis and against any decent team I'll get around 5-6 hooks and maybe 1 kill by endgame. And thats if I don't screw up chases.
Use lethal pursuer and cry yourself to sleep knowing 60% of games have at least 2 players spawn around a gen on the other end of the map.
