Those statistics also say that nurse is the worst killer (by like over 15% kill rate) in the game and needs buffs
That's because she's hard to play. And she still has over a 50% kill rate, even by the statistics she doesn't need buffs, she gets more kills than escapes.

Mandy is amazing but it's kind of similar to Evil Dead so if you liked those movies you would love it.

Why do killers get punished for survivors playing SWF with their comms?
Both sides can lose big time by trash plays on the other side. That's the nature of the game, and until something is implemented on either side, it's going to remain that way.
Yeah but when you're a killer in those games at least you can still play and learn from your mistakes. If you're a purple rank survivor getting farmed and camped until death you barely get to play at all and a lot of times your death wasn't even your fault. It's very different.
-
I find Pyramid Head really fun because you can make insane hits through walls. He's also powerful too so I always recommend him.
-
Yeah I don't think add-ons should be more powerful as they should just be a way to play the killer differently. It's definitely annoying going against a specifically stronger version of the killer just because somebody used an add-on they randomly found in the bloodweb. There should be more consistency in the power levels of add-ons so you can't just stomp survivors for bringing an add-on.

I love the concept, the perks could use tweaking but I think generally the concept is good, that I thought Jane was Latino? Mabye not, I don't know the specifics!
Yes she is Latin American.

Dude this is like the worst post i've ever seen on the forums.

O, I love me some F.E.A.R. Alma would be a great addition, but how would you constrain her ocean of abilities into just one to use ingame?
If she is introduced, though, her map better have a ladder where I can shimmer above a survivor climbing down, though. . . .
Well they always downsize killer's abilities. In the games, Nemesis can punch through brick walls easily and pulls out a rocket launcher. I don't think Alma would be too overpowered for dbd.
-
OMG IT'S LIKE 1984!!!!!!!!

Yes, people also don't want to listen to this drama when they just want to talk about the game itself. I just want to discuss things about the game and not have to see all of this stuff that is unnecessary.
-
This drama is not about the game itself. These are forums where we discuss the game, not players having drama.
-
If there would be an FOV slider for killer there should be one for survivor too, survivors don't like the low FOV either.

If you know they go down every Tuesday at the same time why would you go into a game?
Because sometimes it goes down multiple times in the day, like today.
-
@BrokenSouI said:
Oh no ! Not your pip and rank !
Seriously though..You know it's every Tuesday afternoon. Just sit back and wait for it. Watch a streamer. Or try not to care that it kicks you if you want to play. It's not BHVRS servers or their fault in any way.
Well it just went down twice so I guess I can't play for hours on Tuesday.
-
It's not ping that's the issue. I get 30 ping every game and I get stuff like that too. It's because people are being connected really far away, it's a server distance issue.
-
Your latency is really bad. It's a connection issue not a glitch or anything.

Yeah totally I think you just don't know how to counter him because I do ok against Freddy players and so do most red ranks. Look your probably just not good at looping Freddy and that's fine I am terrible at looping Spirit but I don't sit here telling everyone how Spirit players are toxic and how the killer needs a massive nerf.
Yeah that's exactly how it is. I don't know what i'm talking about and I just don't know how to loop a Freddy. 1300 hours and I don't even know what Freddy does. How does his power work?

Well playing a killer really isn't toxic have you ever considered you just don't know how to counter or loop Freddy? You can't just say something is OP without an actual reason. I do fine against Freddy players.
Freddy has very little counters objectively, that's why he has the highest kill rate in the game. Killers are designed with 2 things in mind. Anti-loop and mobility. Some killers have just anti-loop and no mobility like Pyramid Head and Deathslinger, and some have all mobility and no anti-loop like Legion. Freddy has both and he's amazing at both of them. His blood pools can be guaranteed death if the Freddy is patient enough and can also teleport to any generator he wants. There's a reason he has the highest kill rate in the game by far and even the devs stated he was overtuned and needed a nerf. Most people also find him boring to play as and against, he's just in general a really toxic killer.

Ok i didn't think this was a bait post until you said, and i'm paraphrasing here, 'Most freddy players are toxic because they are playing freddy"
Nice job with the post though, you got me for a sec.
If you've simplified it to just that I don't think you've been playing the game long enough to understand why people actually play Freddy.
-
Yes let's buff old Fredster even more.

And I'm saying that calling using add-ons and items toxic makes you more toxic than the players using those things could ever be
And now you're just making assumptions. Why would I think it's toxic for survivors to use what they have available? Again, those things are in the game for a reason.
I'm sorry, but players choosing to use things that aren't on the gendoss-approved list doesn't make them toxic.
It's not my approved list lol there are just some things that are more overpowered than others. Freddy for example has a 75% kill rate in the average red rank game. Meaning that even an average Freddy will get 3 out of 4 kills in a typical red rank game. Most people don't play Freddy because he's that fun, he's objectively unfun having an uncomplicated kit, they play him because they know they can get 3/4 kills every game especially with builds that make it even harder to play against. Those people are toxic, specifically going out of their way to ruin games and not even have any fun in the process, do you not agree with that?

@BuddhaBing said:

Those things are in the game for a reason. Stop getting salty because players use the options available to them. If a player not handicapping themselves is ruining your day, it sounds like a you've got some problems to work through.
Like I said, you have a right to use whatever you want because it's in the game and that's fine. All I'm saying is that people are toxic if they want to inflate their ego by being okay at the game but winning constantly because they're using overpowered builds/killers. The same can go for survivors like being a 4-man and spamming BT, DS, and all that.
But I bet you think a 4-man SWF using OP perks and flashlighting is toxic but a rundying tinkerer nurse is just fine.

@BuddhaBing said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2244880#Comment_2244880
Yeah, how dare people use things the devs added to the game. Truly toxic behaviour. It's as bad as the people who buy guns in counterstrike. Stick with the stock pistol you toxic, toxic people.
Obviously you have a right to use whatever is in the game. Just accept that you are supplementing skill for unbalanced killers/builds just to ruin other people's days. Stop giving yourself as much of an unfair advantage as possible.

@CoalTower said:
Nothing in game is toxic. The word is overused.
The only thing toxic is the endgame chat.
I disagree. When you specifically choose builds or characters only because they are overpowered and don't care about having fun and just want to win that's toxic to me.
-
Rank 1 and i've been getting Doctor a lot. I see him a lot for some reason.
-
Best designed: Hillbilly or Demogorgon
Worst designed: Freddy or Pyramid Head
-
It's not that survivors under perform, it's that as a red rank survivor you'll most likely get matched with teammates that are really new to the game. I have 1300 hours and I get matched with teammates who only have 75 or 80 hours sometimes. Hopefully this gets fixed with the new matchmaking system they are coming out with.
-
Trapper and Bubba honestly. Trapper needs his bags to be basekit and maybe something else but I don't even know what Bubba needs. He's basically useless against windows and pallets and has no mobility unlike Hillbilly.
-
BBQ should not be nerfed, it's actually very balanced and promotes good gameplay as you've mentioned. There are some other perks I do believe should be nerfed but don't listen to anyone that says BBQ is too OP.
-
@HaunterofShadows said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/254930/survivors-underperform
once you rank up you'll be doing much better.
idk man, the kill rate gets higher the higher the ranks. Statistically speaking survivors do worse in red ranks.
-
Coming from a survivor main, I genuinely think killers are more entitled. They've mostly gotten nothing but buffs the past few years and the meta has changed for them multiple times but survivors have gotten mostly nerfs and the meta is still iron will, BT, unbreakable, and DH, oops but not DS anymore cuz they nerfed it.
Every killer in the game also has well over a 50% kill rate while Freddy has 75% in the average red rank game and then still complains when they've been outplayed. Solo survivor really gets the short end of the stick.
-
Man I only get survivors who try their hardest not to do any of those things you listed. I wish I could get some competition to actually do something in the game.

Your statement is fallacious:
Killer does not have advantage over solo que, it has been proven time and time again that Survivors are more powerful than the killer, both in the 1v1 and the 4v1. Killers have advantages only over survivors who do not know how to loop well and who are not efficient on generators.
SWF's allow survivors to provide themselves with a lot more information than they are intended to have and allows them to coordinate in ways the game does not allow. This provides an immense advantage over the killer who does not have any such benefit. Imagine if Killers could see all survivors auras at all times and knew what generators were at what percentage without having use a perk, or even if the entity would constantly block survivors from breaking their lit totems. The balance of the game would swing so drastically in favor of the killer that survivors would not strand much of a chance except at the highest level of play. So yes, SWFs do make a difference, just because some SWFs waste all their time bitching about a killer who downs them doesn't change the fact that SWFs make survivors unduly overpowered, create a situation of boosted and entitled survivors, and is very unfair for killer.
Remember the game was not designed around survivors being in coms and coordinated groups. Even after it's been allowed, nothing has been done to help balance the game, instead the devs have allowed for the game's balance to swing wildly in favor of survivors.
Hate to comment again, but every single killer in red rank has well over a 50% kill rate in the average solo que game. Killers are way favored according to the statistics.
-
I'm in agreement that the actual comms really doesn't do that much. It's more the fact that 3 - 4 good players are in a match over the advantage that comms actually gives you. Also the "swf" problem will be solved with MMR. The people who swf all the time will be at the top of the ranks facing nurses and spirits if it really gives them that much of an advantage.
-
@Shroompy said:
Im not a Spirit main but the answer is obvious. They find her fun to play.
Just like every body that mains any character in any game
I don't think it's that obvious. The feeling of winning is stronger than the feeling of playing a fun killer sometimes. I think most people don't care how fun she is just that they get easy wins and it makes them feel good.
-
He actually wasn't over performing. The devs literally said in the post about nerfing billy that they liked how he was performing and they only wanted to tweak him a bit.
-
I like going against a blight who isn't using the small "you know what" build. If he actually plays using a fair build it is quite fun.
-
yeah and were you using the iri addon?
-
@ShinobuSK said:
He has weak add ons but base power is still strong, pretty balanced killer right now imo.
Also this is the first time hearing he is somehow controversial
Controversial as in some people think he's OP and some people think he's weak/mid-tier
-
Laughs at you...? I don't think the problem is the hatch my guy.
-
Yeah this is something that's been complained about for years. It's really stupid that I can't prestige my Feng cuz I have year 3 items and year 4 cakes on her.
-
I hate Red Forest as survivor and killer. Every time I play on it as a survivor I swear I get the worst pallet spawns and there is just so much emptiness. When I'm killer I swear every survivor spawns a million miles away from each other and I can't keep up because it's so big. It makes no sense.
-
I would agree with you if there weren't sometimes where you can get unhooked in an area with absolutely no pallets or windows and you're just completely screwed because you got unlucky. Also there are some killers that are just completely unfair in chase like nurse and spirit. But if this game was 100% balanced and there was no luck I would agree.
-
At this point I've accepted that all killers have the right to and will do everything in their power to win, no matter how unfair it is. I've also decided to start using tactics I find "unfair" when I play killer because if I want the devs to actually change something I have to add to the kill rate and make it seem like a problem.
-
Yes, it really annoys me that the meta for survivor perks hasn't changed in years and the devs are too afraid to make a new survivor perk that's actually worth using.
-
Is anybody actually complaining? I literally haven't seen anything most people just don't care.
-
Honestly we know that new rank 20 players are going to show up in red rank games anyway cuz of the matchmaking so even rank 1s need to prepare for this.
-
I think a mansion or the police department is way more interesting of a location than Raccoon City. RC doesn't really have that many standout features and could be confused for just any random city. The mansion has more personality and represents Resident Evil more I feel.

See- the key difference between Dead Hard and Sprint Burst, is that Dead Hard is on demand, you can literally just press E and undo any kind of mistake you've made, it's even more disgusting than old DS
Being able to dodge a hit whenever you want is the most broken thing in the game as of currently, sure Sprint Burst can get you more distance, but if you ######### up on a loop after that you're down, with Dead Hard, you just don't need to care about mistakes at all, the killer can't hit you so long as it's up
Good enough plays can hold it at 99% to make insane distance. If your problem is that DH is easier to use i don't think that's inherently a problem with a perk.
