  • I don't like going against any killer that is too overbearing in chase. Killers like Pyramid Head and Deathslinger completely negate pallets and windows, the only defense for a survivor, which is very unfun to go against because you don't even get a chance sometimes. Some killers even are monsters in chase and have crazy map mobility like Nurse.

The most fun killers to go against are ones that are perfectly balanced like Hillbilly. His power is strong but isn't too overbearing, his power doesn't negate windows and you can actually loop him somewhat. He also has good map mobility.

  • Yeah killer perks get nerfed basically the same as survivor. And even then a lot of survivor perks get buffed like Second Wind and Fixated.

  • I don't know honestly... They purposely made Laurie and Quentin that way so they didn't have to pay for the likenesses of those 2 actors. I really doubt they're just going to randomly decide to pay extra money to change their faces. The last time they renewed the licenses it was to make cosmetics for Myers and Laurie so hopefully we get some more.

  • Salty killer starter pack

  • Exhaustion perks are fine. Even if they weren't addons are a really bad way of balancing the game. You should fix the root of the problem not add more boring addons.

I’m pretty certain about the time, but the pulling out of a locker, and running away like lightning without being injured from the locker removal is what I’m really looking at.

Well if that actually happened then yes it's a hacker who is not very good at hiding their hacks.

  • Did you actually time it or are you just assuming it was 3 minutes because 1 minute can actually feel like a long time in-game.

Which is strange because Tombstone Myers does the same but nobody has a problem with it. 🤔

You have to actually earn Tombstone Myers and even then you can just jump into lockers every time and never get insta killed. You're also stuck with a basic m1 killer who can't do very much. NOED can be used with Deathslinger who can shoot you.

  • I don't think the problem is the lack of information. At this point I'm confident the main problem is the matchmaking. The fact that someone with 1000 hours can be matched with someone as low as 80 is completely ridiculous and can ruin the games. In basically any solo Q games where the survivors are good it's always a fun and balanced game. The reason the kill rate is so high is because most red rank survivors are terrible at the game. Most of what you said is just general game sense stuff that doesn't need an indicator.

I do really like the totem counter though, that needs to be a thing.

  • I play basically only solo Q and my build is Spine Chill, Dead Hard, Borrowed Time, and Iron Will.

Spince Chill is a top tier perk because it let's you know when you should start running and it even helps you in chase mind games so you know when they turn a corner or if they're doubling back, etc.

Dead Hard is just Dead Hard I don't think I need to explain. It helps those moments where you're so close to a pallet or window but wouldn't make it otherwise.

Borrowed Time is so you don't immediately farm teammates and if the killer is tunneling it makes it hard for them to.

Iron Will is also top tier because if you lose line of sight sometimes they just completely lose you and it's hard to predict where you are in high wall jungle gyms/loops.

  • I find Dead Hard to be the answer to killers that counter windows and pallets, the only defense for survivors. Even then, a dead hard won't save you from getting hit from Pyramid Head's shockwave attack or Spirit when she's phasing.

After the absolute nightmare that was PSO2 on Windows Store, I try to avoid it whenever possible.

Also Call of Duty Infinite Warfare. There weren't a lot of players already when it came out but Windows Store players could only play with each other. There were so few players that it's one of the only games they actually gave out refunds for.

  • The Twins absolutely do not need a buff.

    Totems exist.

There are plenty of other things survivors can do.

Ok if there are no hex totems doing the dull ones are completely useless unless they have NOED which is rare and running around the map to find all of the useless totems is boring af.

I assume tunneling also doesn´t exist. Since the killers only objective is to kill.

I don't blame anybody for tunneling because it's the objectively efficient thing to do but it's different than gen rushing because you have to go out of your way and actively decide whether to tunnel or not. If I'm a survivor I'm not consciously thinking about whether I should slow down on gens to help out the killer or not, I just do them because it's the only thing to do, there's no options.

  • @AsherFrost said:

Because they are given nothing else to go off of.

At this point rank is more a sign of how much time you play each week, but people need a reason to feel above others or something to blame for their defeat, hence ranks.

As a Steam player I find going off of people's playtime much more reliable. I have around 1,200 hours and if I get teammates who only have like 100 - 300 hours I will dodge. No other game will match a player that has 1,200 hours with other players who have ~100.

  • Honestly the only rank I genuinely think does define your skill a bit is being rank 1 (at least for survivor). If somebody consistently stays rank 1 it means they can run the killer for a significant amount of time, do gens, and not farm teammates in the average game. It actually requires a bit of skill to consistently stay rank 1!

  • Because Rancor is actually balanced. It reveals itself before you go down in one hit and it actually puts pressure on survivors but isn't overbearing. If you want help in the endgame but don't want to be handed free wins use Rancor.

  • As you probably now realize the forums are full of killer mains. As a killer and survivor DH is not too OP. It's a very good perk but it's not overpowered. I would compare it to something like Corrupt Intervention for killers. A very solid perk but has it's limits.

  • I like Gearhead a lot. I've honestly gotten some crazy value with it without even needing to get a hook.

  • Well there's the fact that more people play on console in general and the fact that there are technically 5 other platforms that are considered cross-play. The chances of you finding another Steam player when there are players to pull from Switch, Xbox, PS5, Windows Store, and Stadia is rare.

  • I'm honestly the type of player to use B tier perks on OP killers. If I play Freddy I'll use Gearhead, Overcharge, Haunted Grounds, Third Seal, etc. Just weird fun perks.

  • I swear it has to do with the resolution of your monitor or something. I for the life of my cannot reveal ghost face when I'm going against him. I can literally chase him around the map and it just will refuse to work almost 90% of the time. However my friend can literally just reveal him through walls almost every time, like he just looks in his general direction and the mechanic works for him consistently.

My theory is that the game's resolution isn't synced to my monitor's resolution or something so it thinks my screen is a lot smaller than it is but that's just a theory.

  • "Gen rushing" as an idea is so stupid. Like sorry for doing the only objective too quickly? What do killers expect, just for survivors to sit around twiddling their thumbs while they're chasing someone? "Oh sorry guys, we did the gens too efficiently, we should have let go of them and slowed down a bit".

  • I mean that's the main difference between oblivious and undetectable. Undetectable is just that. "Undetectable". Oblivious is also what it means... "oblivious". Somebody who is not paying full attention or unaware of their surroundings.

  • In a perfect world every survivor would bring BT or DS so nobody could be tunneled or at least if they did they could make it really hard to do so. At this current point not a lot of solo survivors do that so in my view the problem isn't the tunneling or camping it's more the fact that survivors are mostly bad and also don't bring perks to counter it very often.

I only really get upset when I've been tunneled or camped when my teammates just immediately farm me without BT and I wasn't even been given a chance. I don't care about being tunneled I care about not even being given a chance to fight back or play the game.

I played some survivors and I never got insulted by any killer. U r lying, stop lying u lier

I literally play 40 hours of survivor a week

  • You can always play a different game if you're finding it boring. There are a lot out there.

  • I mean Pyramid Head is objectively good according to the game mechanics and if you don't agree with that well then you just don't know the game mechanics very well or are probably not even a red rank survivor.

His shock wave can barely bit nobody except the player does not look behind when looping. R u fighting against a bunch of potatos? If pH is good then huntress is juses and deathslinger is God XD

This website is a tier list for the game Dead by Daylight. The data is community based; you can give ratings to all the current killers and see the global tiers.
    Capture.PNG

This is a tier list that anybody can vote on. Notice how PH is top 4? Most everybody believes he is amazing and for the reason I stated previously.

  • He's arguably the best killer that doesn't have mobility like Spirit or Nurse. Hag may be better but it's also arguable if she has mobility or not. His shockwave attack goes through windows and pallets rendering most loops unusable if the PH is good enough. He doesn't even have Huntress speed either, he's full force through loops which is kinda nuts. You just need to actually use his power effectively and not just randomly throwing out shockwaves, only use it when the survivor is locked in an animation like vaulting a window or throwing a pallet. It's literally unstoppable at that point.

  • @AsherFrost said:

You can always crawl through the exit.

You can never kidnap victor and take him through.

    That's pretty much it.

They changed it so you can't crawl through the exit anymore. The exits are blocked for like 5 seconds after you get downed with Victor on your head.

Here we go again. The same thing very rarely happens from the killer please stop with this old argument

I highly disagree. I play around 40 hours a week as a solo survivor and there is rarely toxicity coming from the survivors. Of course it happens every once in a while but it honestly is around the same from killers as survivors. Even when there is toxicity it's usually hard to pin down exactly who started it because it usually starts in the games.

I'm not sure how practicing nurse makes it ok for people to tell you to ######### irl.

The upsetting thing isn't the loss, it's the toxic slurry of ######### you catch in chat win or lose.

I agree it's never ok to be toxic to someone over stuff like that but the same thing happens to survivors from the killer. The amount of BM and "gg ez"s and slurs I get as a survivor is quite staggering.

  • I think you solved your own problem by saying "Try to practice Nuse".

Nurse is the best killer in the game and she can destroy basically any survivor if you are good enough. When you practicing you are not going to be at that level and it's going to be a rough time for a while, just like practicing at any fighting game.

However the reward is being good at Nurse.

  • Bubba is one of the worst killers in the game.

When you think of the objectively best killers, characters like Spirit, Nurse, Hag, Pyramid Head, and Deathslinger come to mind. What do they all have in common? They all basically counter pallets and windows which is the only defense for a Survivor. Nurse can just teleport through any window or pallet, Pyramid Head can use his shockwave through any object, Slinger can shoot through windows making them useless. This is what makes killers too OP, when they counter basically every defense a survivor has.

Bubba does none of those. His power is directly countered by pallets and windows. Good windows are a major struggle for him because he has to go around the entire thing and has a long revving time which is slower than a vault. His chainsaw doesn't go through pallets but to be fair it does shred through them, however a good survivor can use the awfully long revving time to get multiple loops out of an unsafe pallet.

He's also slow as hell and doesn't have good mobility like Spirit, Nurse, and Hag (Hag has mobility because she can be in multiple places at once with her traps).

If a survivor is good they can legit run Bubba for 5 gens if the Bubba doesn't pressure gens very hard (which is tough to do because of his poor mobility).

Edit: By the way you worded your original post it just really seems like you only go against potato survivors who don't know how to actually run a Bubba, he has a high kill rate because of that and the way that he can camp any hook.

  • It happens every Tuesday.

  • It just happened to me but I didn't do any further testing after one game.

I have a Razer Naga Trinity.

  • I think there should be a limited time gamemode or something where everyone can have 8 perks. Imagine the chaos.

  • Storehouse has a fat shame on a tree on one of the entrances that legitimately makes it an infinite. I think it's an error but I don't know if it's intentional or not.

  • The reason cross-progression is a thing for Switch is because people voted on it in one of the player satisfaction surveys. It's a a hybrid portable console so you can play dead by daylight wherever you want and that's why people want it for cross-progression the most.

  • Lmao. There's a reason the game is like the 25th most played game on Steam and has been getting bigger and bigger over the past 4 years.

The only survivor main I like watching is Zubat. Everyone else is just too cringe for me. For some reasons survivor players like to scream for every little thing they do (OOOOOOH I STUNNED THE KILLER WITH A PALLET, HE MUST BE SO MAD). Survivor gameplay is just so dull that it seems content creators have to force things to keep the audience entertained.

Killer is way more fun to watch and they always seem more chill.

You should try watching Yerv if you haven't already. Him and Zubat are my favorite.

  • Man those must have been some REALLY bad survivors. It's kind of crazy because during the MMR test I got a rank 18 teammate who was legitimately better than 90% of the red rank teammates I always get.

  • Not to say that Indian people don't deserve to be in Dead by Daylight (they do) but there are already a lot of Asian characters. It's just going to take a while to get all of the Asian countries and there is a lot of diversity among those characters.

  • I don't know if they officially said anything but people have been using them in the PTB.

  • I know Raging Ryuga on YT and Twitch calls it the unbeatable legion build cuz he's almost never lost a game with it and he's a legion main.

  • They're bringing custom icons back in the next update.
