Freddy is statistically the best killer in the game. He literally has a 75% kill rate at red ranks. The average Freddy gets 3 kills every game. If you want to do as good as possible pick Freddy, he's kind of busted.
-
It's much much much much much more survivor favored now. I think it has the most pallets out of any map in the game and you can lose line of sight so much easier.

Where have you gotten those stats from?
Sources pls.
These are from October they revealed in a QNA. It's separated by all ranks and red ranks.
-
Freddy's kill rate is 75%. If you don't kill at least 3 survivors in the average game you are in the minority. I just don't think you are playing Freddy good enough because the average killer can do it.
-
That wouldn't even make sense from a logical standpoint. That person on the hook is still a person and they aren't dead...
-
The problem with that is that matchmaking will put you with survivors who have no idea what a generator is. Maybe if I was with a 4 man SWF every game but i'm not.

I certainly didn't make any comment on whether or not I think it is balanced. I said the Killer bought it with earned BP and that is their business. If you have a beef you take it up with the DEV. No PLAYER, whether they are Killer or Survivor owes you an explanation for what they choose in their builds.
Of course nobody owes anybody an explanation but this is the forums where people discuss the game and share their feelings about it.
-
Oh I definitely click my flashlight or T-bag a killer who is tunneling or camping to take aggro away. I really want to annoy them so they go after me instead of my teammate on death hook.

5th time you have posted in this thread something that makes me very certain you aren't actually looking for a dialogue. You've decided already what you believe, and won't hear anything against it.
I play console, I use iri heads from time to time, (pink add-on, and I prioritize perks in the bloodweb, so I'm not exactly swimming in hatchets) my aim is terrible enough that I'm as surprised as the Survivor if I get a hit with it.
I've gotten a lot of helpful insight on this thread, that's why I make them.
-
You should make a post in bug reporting about it, then.

You've just opened a big ol' can of whataboutism knowing this forum.
For some players winning is everything, even if it means taking shortcuts. The dopamine from winning is the "fun" for them, not the actual gameplay. They don't care if you or they have fun as long as they win.
I like to win, sure. But I also want to have fun. It's why I tend to only play low/mid tier killers nowadays and avoid meta/boring perkbuilds, I'm sort of the opposite in that as long as the match was tense and challenging, I don't really care about the outcome. Spirit/Fred/Slinger all made chases short and boring and that was where the fun in the game was for me. But for someone who loves those killers their fun comes from the fact that chases are short and easy, and the fun comes from elsewhere for them.
Yes, I didn't realize how much whataboutism there would be lol. Saying "Well what about SWF with keys" isn't helpful.

It being reasonable does not mean everyone is required to do it. It means that it is okay that they do it. Again, if that ends up being unfun, that's an issue with the game.
I'm also not saying you are required to not use iri head, i'm just asking what the thought process behind it is. Like why people don't want to improve at the game and want to be handed wins.
-
@TAG said:
Winning at all costs is a reasonable thing for either side to want to do (barring rule-breaking). If that ends up being un-fun, that is more of an issue with the game itself than the players trying to win.
I mean in that case every survivor should be bringing pink keys every game and every single person should be playing Nurse. I don't have a problem with people using amazing killers like Nurse and Spirit but iri head is just way overboard. Sometimes you should be finding a common ground and not be using the most overpowered builds every game especially in a game that is very unbalanced like this one is.
-
I think that's just a visual bug. It's been happening to me too.
-
We don't know.
-
I don't think i've been given hatch in like a year... Players aren't what they used to be I guess.
-
I'll let ruin be base kit if borrowed time becomes base kit.
-
I will take anything over the Blight and Twins again... The chapter with Blight created ruin + undying and nobody played the Twins. The small PP build plagued the game for so long and it felt like we just had no content for 6 months because nobody plays Twins.
-
I despise Victor because he's broken as all hell. His hitboxes are huge and he's way too fast. Once a good Twins player catches up to you it's almost impossible to dodge Victor. Very poorly designed.
-
Way too many to count honestly. I just think every weak killer like Wraith, Trapper, etc. needs to be really buffed and all of the really powerful killers like Spirit, Nurse, etc. need to be way nerfed.
I think most killers should be around the Hillbilly/Demogorgon power level because their powers are perfectly balanced.

You could ask the same question to swf groups running 2 prove thyself plus 2 streetwise coupled with bnp.
I had one of those games as a green rank vs red and purple. Trial didn't even last 5 minutes.
But atleast they used bp increase offerings for themselves, which is also baffling to me given their rush builds.
I don't play killer much and don't really see swf that often or if I do I just don't notice it. It's not really a problem that pertains to me so I didn't ask that question lol.

That is a real response, though. It doesn't seem that way to you because you're looking for a specific answer. Hell, you've already reached your conclusion (that they're trying to make the game as unfair as possible in their favor) and are working backwards from it.
No i'm asking if there is any other reasons than the ones I stated.
-
@Orion said:
Because it's a good add-on and they want to. Do they need more reasons?
You have the right to play whatever you want I just want to know why people want to make the game as unfair as possible in their favor and some people are giving real responses.
-
I think you're fine. All of the meta perks are on the free characters (except for DS).

What do you think SWF feels like to a trapper or ghost face?
I want Trapper buffed. I don't want Huntresses base kit to be nerfed, just this one addon that the devs even think is too OP.
-
@Zozzy said:
It's fun for the killer. Are they not allowed to have fun at your expense?
I mean I guess if you find making the game as unfair as possible to be fun then go for it. Just know the devs want it gone.
-
He isn't taking into account pressuring gens or using slowdown perks. He also didn't try to cut them off and had terrible pathing.
Tru3 does not help the game at all.
-
It's sad because Gearhead has so much potential to be a great perk but I think BHVR is just afraid of how powerful it could be. I honestly don't even think it's that bad of a perk if you're going for a B-tier build of some kind.
-
It definitely takes some time to learn how to play against a Nurse but even once you do know how it doesn't get much better. She still is by far the best killer in the game with little to no counter play except just making distance and hoping that she messes up.
I wholeheartedly agree with what you're saying and people shouldn't be giving her a pass like they do.
-
@Mooks said:
Do you have crossplay on or off?
right now, it seems unlikely to get the same killer in a row, since the lobby waiting times are so different for the roles...
crossplay on. 2 games in a row were all the exact same players.
-
I'm having trouble with this one. Do you guys think DS counts as the killer dropping a survivor? Because if I were to DS a killer it would have them drop a survivor...

Hey, no need to be rude, man. I did disclaim that the idea probably isn't fair or balanced in any regard.

This just confuses me. Why would I care about some rando in another trial?

This was inspired by Blood Warden, yes!

I mean, explain Hag traps being countered by a common item, then.
I think that's 'nuff said.
Not to bash on your comment, but that's literally the first thing that came to mind.
Yeah and that shouldn't be a thing either. Hag has many many problems.
-
Honestly I feel like it's a little bit too short. It allows too much room for error when hooking.
-
Just upgrade before searching for a lobby...
-
Check to see if the brightness is turned up on your console/monitor/TV.
-
How could you have joined 2019 and have 443 posts but not know what Thanatophobia is...?
-
I've heard other ideas that I like better.
A really good one I've heard is every time you get a hit with NOED active, it breaks the active totem and moves to an available dull totem kind of like old undying. So it's based on how many totems the survivors did that match instead of relying on if literally all 5 were done or not.

If a survivor escapes by cheating, the game will freeze out for everyone else. You can still access menus and the Leave option. The only way to end the game is to leave yourself or wait for the killer to do the same.
This will still give every other player a time out penalty, regardless of who leaves or how.
Interesting... I have never encountered or heard of this in all of my 1,200 hours of playing.
-
What does the game freezing have to do with cheating?
-
I feel like you've been bullied by keys one too many times...
You should never ever make the counter to a perk an item, especially one that rarely shows up in games anyway.
-
I literally made a post about this the other day.
I'm pretty sure the devs didn't make his attack an exception to dead hard on accident. Every single time I dead hard his pounce no matter how far it gets into the animation I get downed and it doesn't exhaust me.
I have never ever been able to successfully dead hard him and every time it refunds my exhaustion like it never even happened.
-
I agree with other people who said it's amazing for him. Windows are the best thing ever for him because a survivor has to spend time vaulting them while he can just shoot through them.
-
Don't believe anybody saying it's just latency. Her hatchets have a hitbox the size of a basketball.
-
I just wanna know how long they actually played it for.

You've got to understand that the main cause of survivor frustration is because the average survivor is bad at the game.
Not saying you can't dislike versing some killers, I hate versing Demo, Mikey and huntress. I understand that killers like deathslinger etc can be frustrating.
But most of the survivor community still vaults windows in front of deathslinger, still refuses to play safe against a spirit, still doesn't run through a hags web when carrying, etc.
Assuming a perfect world where the survivors you were matched with were all good at the game, the DC/suicide rate would drop. Not to 0, but just drop.
Well now there's the question if you should balance the game around the top 1% of survivors, and I really don't think so. Solo Q still exists and it's some of the worst times you can have in the game because as a rank 1 you'll get matched with new purples.
-
We don't even need bots like the mobile version has. All they need to do is include some training dummies or something so we can actually test how the power works.
-
I've been getting a lot of Spirits lately. Freddy not so much but sometimes I can have days where I got against like 5 Freddys.
-
Most people agree that Hillbilly and Demogorgon are the most balanced killers in the game. I really would love it if BHVR made more killers like them because they're also extremely fun to go against, win or lose.
