Honestly I don't feel like dbd is even close to the most toxic game i've ever played. I think that has to go to League of Legends, people are intense in that game.

I main the twins and Victor still downs them when they dead hard. I've reported it, but I get the generic "we'll look into it" response.
This is exactly what I was talking about. No matter how long the dead hard is I never become exhausted from it like it just never happened at all. Even if the entire DH goes through.

I'm honestly more surprised you went against three Twins' in the same day. I haven't seen them in literal months.
I know. I also went against one yesterday. Aside from that I haven't seen them in weeks, luckily not a lot of people know how to play them well.

Victor was designed to counter chases period lol.
On a serious note, Victor's hitbox does not counter DH. Most likely the player either waited for you to use DH or got lucky with the timing.
Are you sure? Because I genuinely went out of my way just to test it multiple times and I never had a successful DH once. I was being exhausted on the ground every time even when the entire DH went through. I can dodge M1s just fine it's only specifically Victor.
-
No because they couldn't have a testing/balance period. I wouldn't want to go against PTB twins on the live servers.

No. You bringing Iron Will is the reason she brings Stridor. If Iron Will was not a perk, a Spirit would not need Stridor to hear you. So you're cancelling each other's perks out. She becomes a 3-perk killer and you become a 3-perk survivor.
nah i'd still use stridor as spirit. It's specifically amazing for her and her only.

How is that unique to Spirit? Any killer can take Stridor. The only killer that can counter iron will is Nurse since she has an add on for louder sounds.
Also its kind of a moot point. Look at Hex perks, any survivor can counter Ruin making me a 3 perk killer against them etc
Yeah but Stridor is amazing for spirit and spirit only. She's only supposed to track you by sound and scratch marks but if you bring a perk designed to stop you from making noise and a Spirit brings Stridor it's literally only to stop Iron Will and that's not cool and takes the challenge out of it.
-
She also can completely counter iron will making me a 3 perk survivor against her
-
It's not that good. In my experience you'll get one head on and then the killer will catch on and just bait it out every time.
-
If you're using as many BPS as possible you aren't going to let yourself go down or just not do gens. You want to survive and get as many points as possible as to not die.

So you know there is actual counterplay, and are upset you can't do it in a chase? You know it's pretty difficult to disarm Trapper's traps in a chase too, right? That's how being chased works, hard to do other stuff.
There is a reason basically everybody puts her in top tier. She has virtually no counterplay outside of flashlights or being an extremely good swf. All she has to do is place a trap or 2 at a loop and there isn't anything you can do.

Is your crouch button broken?
Oh yeah, if you're going against a hag, just crouch. It's so easy why does everybody complain, all you need to do is hold crouch. It's totally not like you're running away from her in a chase, that totally doesn't happen.

Good thing she wasn't.
Flashlights.

I mean in any fighting game you have the right to play as the most overpowered dirty character you want to. But everybody knows there is no honor in it. When you use dirty tactics and play as OP characters you're basically signaling that you can't win with a balanced play style and you need all the help you can get to make the game as unfair in your favor as possible. But yes, you have the right to do so.
-
No killer should have been designed around only an item being a counter to their power.
-
The twins are super annoying because victor has a horrible hitbox. He almost never actually hits me and half the time I see him hit the wall and then teleport onto me.
-
Hopefully MMR fixes the matchmaking issue. Sometimes I get other PC players who have 85 hours. I have 1200... I definitely shouldn't be getting players with more than 10x less the amount of hours I have. It's the most unenjoyable thing about this game in my opinion and I'm really glad they're attempting to fix it.
-
Yeah BHVR has been trying to get rid of the RNG of their game for a while now. Trapper's traps, old undying, etc. I feel like randomness in a game like this is just really bad. No other competitive game includes RNG as a main game mechanic and if all totems were unlit it means it's completely random which totem you are doing and that's not challenging.
Last night I literally had a game where my entire team ran around every area of the map multiple times and we didn't find a single totem, lit or unlit. We don't need random totem guessing simulator on top of that.
-
I definitely feel like NOED should be next on the chopping block as DS and OoO are now.
-
I find Blights to be some of the meanest in the game honestly. Aside from Freddy I guess. The nicest i've seen are Myers and Trapper.
-
@boostedsurvivormain said:
Hag's is short by design. Blight's is bugged.
Oh, I guess I never realized how tall Blight actually is. He's always seemed so short to me but that's probably because he's hunched over.
-
I never do it as killer because it just makes the game unfun for everybody. The survivors have to sit there and then I have to go around finding all of the slugs.
-
But... The flashlight already lets you stun a killer carrying someone...

I still think the crowns will be re-released. Maybe not in the Store but in the next anniversary event. They already gave crowns to Blight, Felix, Twins, and Elodie in the files. So I'd imagine they're gonna let everyone have a second go at getting the crowns (for every character) in the next event.
As for them being silent about the Rift and it's exclusivity, they did state in multiple streams and on their website that it would take a minimum of 6 months to 1 year before the return of those cosmetics. Meaning it could be even longer before we see some of the items. So I never even once thought that it was a rumor.
I understand your meaning on the devs inconsistencies regarding this subject, but I think we can both agree that in the last couple years the devs have done whatever they can to eliminate most of the exclusive cosmetics. And I genuinely believe their stance right now is to have minimal to zero exclusivity (excluding Legacy and charms).
Right now, the only exclusive items in the Rift are the charms and the singular pieces of cosmetics that aren't part of a full outfit (for now). I think the devs were silent on what would return and what wouldn't because they themselves didn't come to a final decision, but for the most part I think they have now, and we have to accept that. Unfortunately.
Idgaf about the crowns honestly, they make you 1000x easier to see and I don't think I've ever used them once. Try looping as Killer with a shining circle a foot above your head.
-
At this point I trust playtime wayy over rank. I'm PC so every time I see another survivor with a similar play time as me they're always my level and it's so great. I don't care if you're red rank if you only have 80 hours I shouldn't be matched with you.
-
Honestly this chapter has gotten me this excited in a long time. It's felt like there's been barely any new content in the game since Pyramid Head cuz I thought Blight and Twins were boring af. This guy is super unique and I like the survivor too.
-
Can we get dababy as a survivor now?
-
Oh you need to see Feng in certain cosmetics...
-
Remember Hide or Die? No, you probably don't.
-
As a lot of other people are saying you get the auric cells back that you put into it. I'm happy paying $10 every few months to get that much in auric cells and free skins with it. The archive challenges also bring a ton of bloodpoints too and I'm ok with that.

So was that just a graphic error or did you actually receive all those lips?
It was just a graphic error. I actually depipped that game.
-
He's by far one of my least favorite killers to face. A good PH can just deny every window and pallet. Yeah he doesn't have good mobility but it doesn't even matter if he's an overpowered chaser.
-
That literally happened to me today. It was a 5 gen run.
-
For males I like Ace
Female it's Feng
-
Honestly I stopped respecting nurses once I realized how easily it actually was. It took my somewhat new friend like not even a day to consistently 4k even in red ranks. I think some people just haven't really tried Nurse for more than a game or 2 and think she's really hard to play as.
-
It's crazy too because they just added those hatch offerings... Like keys weren't bad enough they had to make an offering to almost guarantee the location of the hatch spawn.

But there is no way to determine the skill level.
Just look at the freshly implemented "hook" counter for killers. Which counts hook stages instead of actual hooks.
If the MMR takes this information, it will assume that someone who got just 4 hooks during the whole game, but all of them were death hooks for one reason or another, that those count as a perfect 12 hook match and therefore the killer should be matched with higher skill survivors.
Meanwhile, someone who got 8 hooks, but no kill, will be matched with lower skill survivors.
I think it will have enough data to know the difference between 4 kills and 12 hooks...

If you really think the MMR will fix this issue, then you´re going to have a bad time. There are to many variables to make a accurate guess whats the skill level of someone. If it works even in the slightest way how the past or current pip system works. Then it will fail and it will fail hard.
I think any other ranking system that they put some work into will be better than this one. This ranking system will put a yellow rank against a red rank. Not many other games would match people of multiple colors away. Even if MMR isn't perfect I believe it will at least put people of somewhat close skill levels together.
-
I honestly really like it. It gives it more of a mystical feeling to it.
-
Well hopefully MMR will fix this issue. Things like this happens when a rank 16 gets matched with purple and red ranks.
-
Judging by how literally everybody wants future changes like nerfs, buffs, new perks, new killers, etc. I highly doubt that many people will want to go back to a "classic" dbd. Why would anybody want to go back to old DS or old ruin?
-
I agree Nea is probably the ugliest survivor (aside from Quentin) but not every survivor needs to be super attractive, it's not really part of her character.
-
If I get really frustrated sometimes i'll quit for the night and then feel the urge to play the next day or something.
-
Yeah... you're just letting 1 person not play the game and tunneling everyone else lol.
-
I literally didn't even know there was a hook charm bug lol. I never pay attention to those things.
-
So killers typically have 2 things that BHVR designs. Chase potential and map control.
Admittedly Doctor doesn't have the worst chase potential because of his shocks but even then there are other killers who have can stop survivors from looping faster than he can.
....And he has no map control at all. He has to walk his ass around the map and can only M1...
Now someone like Legion is the complete opposite, where they have really high map control with their speed and tracking but can't loop at all because they only have an M1.
Now some killers were born with both of those abilities and that's why some people hate them. Nurse can move fast and teleport through objects. Freddy has good snares and can teleport to any gen he wants. Spirit moves insanely fast and can be invisible.
Compared to the "OP" killers Doctor is not even close. Even to high tier killers like Oni he still has to walk around the map slowly and has a meh power.

Im not a new player I have grinded many other characters for their perks. Adam francis is like the only person with good perks who I have not grinded.
Then feel free to go for it. It's fun enough of a perk to get.
-
@RyRapsYT said:
Should I grind Adam Francis for Deliverance? Or is it not worth it?
It depends on what perks you already have. I use Deliverance very rarely but it has actually been the difference between me escaping or dying on hook. I feel like you honestly need DS for it to be worth using consistently, though. If you are somewhat new to the game I would not recommend grinding for Adam yet until you get some more perks. For me perks that can get use every game are the best ones, sometimes you won't be able to get Deliverance to work at all.

Tricked you maybe. I didn't believe for one second we would get a strong killer. Haven't believed that for 4 years.
Bruh Pyramid Head, Deathslinger, and Oni??
