Bye. You won't be missed.

I honestly think they can afford to change the system a bit with new content coming out every 3 months.
Firstly because new content coming out all the time makes people want to play the game, period.
Secondly because there are new characters and perks coming out consistently. For each patch, the game becomes a little harder for new players, and it can get to a point where it's discouraging.
I think it's actually good business for them to reduce the grind a little bit atm.

He's defending ex addons which means he needs them which means he's reliant on them. Basic logical conclusion.
Oh sure.
I don't think SWF should be deleted from the game, so I need it to win right?
I don't think instasaw Billy needs to be deleted. I need it to win (don't even play Billy btw).
Your idea of logic is interesting.

"if you are so reliant on exhaustion addons you should work on your own skills."
The one sitting in the glasshouse shouldn't throw stones.
I don't think he's reliant on them. Unlike the OP, he's not asking for exhaustion perks to be deleted.
-
The data sheets show that SB is among the most popular survivor perks until you get to red ranks, then it's completely overtaken by DH.
I think it shouldn't even be a discussion that at the highest level, DH is better in the vast majority of situations.
-
I was playing a game on Yamaoka Estate these days and there were times in which I was literally staring at a Claudette's direction inside a plant and couldn't see them.
Then I swung blind into the nothingness because I was DAMN SURE someone was there and surprise surprise, a cry of pain.
Not saying it's OP or anything. I find it hilarious actually. Immersed survivors don't bother me much when they're just hiding, my problem is losing survivors I shouldn't lose during chases because they blend with the map too well. But that's a misplay on my part too so w/e

how, in what world, does the perk that requires NOTHING extra from u other than pressing shift, have the least amount of potential?
Do you even know what potential is?
Sprint Burst gains you distance. Period. That's it.
Balanced Landing opens up a whole new world of looping opportunities.
Dead Hard can be essentially a free hit if you time it properly.
Lithe is a bit weaker than those two, but it helps navigating obstacles/losing line of sight more than SB.
Potential: the amount of things you can do, or ceiling of a perk. The difference between a green ranker and a red ranker using SB isn't that great. The stuff a very good player can do with BL or DH is immensely bigger than what a very good player can do with SB. The only high level play I can imagine with SB is managing your exhaustion meter to come back mid chase and gain a boost out of nowhere, but that's a lot more situational than the other two.
And SB is self-countered by running at all lol, don't forget that.
-
SB is not bad by any means. It just gets less effective as you get better in the game when compared to the other Exhaustion perks, especially Dead Hard and Balanced Landing.
The skill cap for using it is the lowest, but it has the least amount of potential and the lowest usage ceiling of the exhaustion perks.

yes the one that is activatable anywhere at the press of a button is stronger than the ones that have requirements. you okay? shouldnt be hard to understand
The one that you waste every time you want to run for any reason and gains you distance before the killer commits to the chase, so he can choose whether he wastes time on you or not, unlike the others that gain you advantages when he's already commited and force him to waste time? Yeah, that one's a tad weaker than the others

not once did I say they should be removed. what I'm not cool with is not even having the chance to use them. I already knew you would say something like be near a vault or a dropdown, and what about dead hard? u said nothing about that. u didn't have to list sprint burst, that perk is really dumb, exhaustion addons don't counter it we know that (really stupid not even exhaustion addons best it). if u really feel like knowing how I think exhaustion addons shoulde be changed (so that they are situational, and require someone who can last in a chance for a bit, while also needing the killer to capitalize on the debuff) then feel free to look for the post i made about it a few months back.
OK, you're saying Sprint Burst is dumb.
Not any of the top tier exhaustion perks, sprint burst.
I think I'm done here.

sorry I dont think it's fair to have my perk rendered completely useless the entire game, gaining no benefit from it whats so ever. guess you're right, i could stay injured so I can dead hard the clown bottle coming at me :/
or are u gonna tell me to stay near a structure to proc my balanced when the killer comes? because if there's nothing for me to do there then that's not countering, that's baiting your team. there is no counterplay for the exhaustion add-ons
You can do all the following before getting hit by a hatchet or bottle:
- Fall with balanced landing
- Vault a window with Lithe
- Run with sprint burst
If you get hit before making use of your perk, you've misplayed and the killer deserves the hit. That's how it works. The game isn't balanced around you, it's balanced around you, your allies and, shocker, your opponent.
You're most definitely not playing with 3 perks the entire game, quit it with the drama. I can turn it around and say "I was supposed to get a surprise hit that, but no counterplay sprint burst'' or "I was supposed to catch him there but balanced landing so op". All these things are part of the game. Exhaustion perks are designed to gain time during chases, and time is the killer's main resource in this game. Exhaustion add-ons are brought to counter your counter, and both sides have plenty of ways to work around their opponents' strenghts.
Add-ons are meant to help the killer. I'm not yapping around the forums asking for instaheals, toolboxes or flashlights to be removed, because they're part of a survivor's arsenal to deal with the killer. If you think exhaustion add-ons should be removed, then we need to have a serious conversation about the hundreds of other things that are more problematic in this game.
-
Breaking news: killers shouldn't have any counterplay vs Exhaustion perks. Even if all the counterplay they have is avoidable and you can use your perks before the add-on kicks in, that's still more agency than killers deserve to have in this game.
It's hard to take a thread seriously when you think those add-ons are out of line.

it's funny how u say there is counterplay, then you get to clown and and you're like "clown is meant to do that so it's fine" LOL. u also said what u said about pig like that addon isn't built for tunneling.
You do know that counterplay doesn't have to be the same for all characters right?
Do you legit think there's no counterplay for a Clown with exhaustion add-ons? If that's what you think, check your play.
Pig could lose that add-on for all I care for how useless it is. The fact that you complain about it says more about yourself than the add-on.
-
Nah, I don't think basement needs to be more dangerous tbh. Being caught+hooked in the basement is already a big punishment, and if a survivor is all the way down there they're not doing anything useful to begin with.
Besides, other than the cheeky Dull/Skeleton key, nothing you find in chests is that gamechanging. I already think plundering is a bit niche and not that impactful, it doesn't need to be riskier in general.
-
Hmmmm... no?
First of all, the addons are all avoidable.
Huntress needs to hit you with a hatchet. The only perk affected by it is Dead Hard really, because you can use all other exhaustion perks to gain space before she hits you.
Pig needs a RBT on your head. You have bigger problems than exhaustion by that point, and she has better things to do than chase someone who already has a RBT.
Clown is the easiest one to apply/most consistent, but his entirely gameplay revolves around ending chases quickly, and the opportunity cost is moderate to high.
The only thing I could possibly agree with is maybe turning Solvent Jug into a rare add-on, but not really because Clown doesn't need to be nerfed.
So no. There's counterplay to those add-ons. Stop.
Edit: and other than Clown, those aren't even the best add-ons for the killers to run. As Huntress, quicker wind-up is pretty staple if you're even gonna use add-ons, and then there's other stuff like Hindered, faster cooldown for a quicker one-two punch, and mangled. As Pig, I never even use Exhaustion add-ons. She has better ######### to run, and her add-ons aren't even than stellar to begin with.
-
Jfc
you guys are aware than the killer had to chase and kill the second to last survivor right?
during that time, you can look for the hatch.
If you find it first, you're out. The killer can no longer grab you from the hatch.
Just adapt.
-
How does an M1 killer with no mobility whatsoever block 2 gates
It sounds like you played very very poorly but ok
-
Make the concede button happen, that'll make the problem more bearable.
-
By the looks of it my trusty Alt+Tab strat will need to be used as survivor too. I only used it as killer before, now it appears it's needed for both sides. Oh well.
-
Oh, and something else. I know Thanatophobia was a bit of a noob trap before, but I think it's better now. With that and 115%ms it becomes a lot more dangerous not to heal, and healing is frustrating af vs Legion, because of how much time you lose.
Since you no longer need to be in FF stabby stab mode and can actually chase people down normally, I think Thanatophobia has more sinergy now than it had before.
-
Love to see someone adapting for once.
I've had some success without Enduring and Spirit Fury, but it's probably the optimal setup atm, especially with Iri pin. I still think Discordance is good on Legion, even after the changes. BBQ is good with any killer who has some kind of extra mobility on the kit. Other than that, Ruin is a must, like it is with most other killers.
And the extended duration addons are my favorite. If you manage to chain hits, you can cover an absurd amount of distance.
-
As I said on another discussion, some people really need more parental supervision when buying DLCs.
Or some reading skills.
Or some common sense.

This. All they really needed to change from legion was the moonwalking exploit and the intentionally missing attacks to go faster. Everything else was fine as is and fun. It didn't kill anyone, and killers got to have fun.
Oh wait, that was the problem. Killers got to have fun.
I have tons of fun playing killer. Maybe it's because I like to win by actually outplaying survivors and when I lose, I lose without excuses. You guys should try that.
-
Imagine thinking that never winning chases if you're against a killer with half a brain belonged in the game
Sometimes I'm glad the devs don't listen to us all the time
-
I mean, it costs exactly 0 cents to not be a jerk, but this community is pretty cancer so
Yeah, ######### happens.
I just know that I don't teabag as survivor nor do this ######### as killer, because I have 1. respect for other players and 2. more to do with my life than wait 4 mins to see an animation that I've already seen before.
Just be glad that the basement bodyblock thing got patched out, some people actually think that ######### was enjoyable/healthy gameplay.

The Terror Radius isn't extended to apply more pressure though. It's just a straight nerf so Survivors have more time to spread out before you enter Feral Frenzy.
Just an adjustment to be consistent with the new movement speed like the vast majority of 115% killers*

I enjoyed how she played cause it was fun that she was most immersive killer. I bought her cause i respect franchise and seeing it done right. If you don't care about the structure of character then don't buy the licensed character. (Video game movies buy characters and go lets give them hip hop cringe version) Don't even comment on character cause your speaking from a shallow stranger looking in perspective. You don't care about story so really can't comment on others disapproval of character representation.
You can enjoy your boring rinse and repeat fundamentals with games like call of duty. But some people actually like to experiment and try to cross borders of initial game intention.
Also play someone else attitude is silly cause why not play all of those character you purchased if you want too. Why be restricted to select few killers in power and immersive department. You paid for a character shouldn't you be treated to one. Everyone is being sold for same price so deserve same respect.
You can still experiment, by all means.
Saving all your traps for after you lost the game isn't experimenting, it's relying on crutches.
You do realize that every game has different "boring rinse and repeat fundamentals" right? And if you don't know how to apply pressure and win chases and rely on endgame gimmicks with any character, it's not personal playstyle, it's sucking at the game.
-
NO MORE GAMES STARTING WITH LESS THAN 5 PEOPLE
REJOICE

You know your playing her like an original killer? You are the one who were playing amanda young wrong. By the books pig mask saw killer is more other pigs style. Mark Hoffman, Logan Nelson, and Lawrence Gordon could be acceptable choices with that playstyle. Jill Kramer and Amanda Young are pigs that would of played the endgame way you have mistaken as wrong. John Kramer pig would be okay with these changes i would have to ask nerf away hooks also. Cause his aim is to not kill but to leave the tools of redemption for survivors.
Pigs want amanda young back or another pig to take the mantle. Tis all we ask with silly not needed nerf
I'm playing her efficiently and to have fun, not in some made-up lore glorifying way.
You don't like how a character plays, don't play them. Plenty of killers I don't play and I don't ######### about them in forums. I don't ######### that the Nurse is all precision and less about mindgames, I play Spirit instead, for example.
Putting all your eggs on endgame shows you're not really good at fundamentals.

This is so true. Chasing as a 115 killer isn't that hard. If you have a problem with loops just run Enduring/Spirit Fury and 4head your way through pallets. Very few survivors are actually good in a chase.
T H I S
and they won't play perfect all the time. And people still respect pallets because... ?
I feel like the problem is time management too. People don't know when to cut their losses, cash in on the pallets they got rid off and apply pressure someone else. Knowing not to commit to a chase in an overly safe spot is important, because eventually survivors will have to venture unsafe areas.
People are just impatient.

@AChaoticKiller said:
I am ok with the changes to legion but his add-ons that only activate after hitting a survivor in frenzy that already has deep wounds is bs. The timer is only 60 seconds and you already waste time just applying the affect. What's funny is that the devs and community manager said hitting a survivor with dp in frenzy was a bad idea Because it has no benefits yet we have add-ons that need you to do so and it only lasts 60 seconds. That's short enough for it to go away after you get unhooked.
I dislike those addons too. I think that they could apply on first FF hit, since it's just 60 seconds.
-
I'm usually against telling people to "git gud", but there's not much else to say to people complaining about new Legion.
-
@Plu said:
He's stronger as an M1 killer, wich used to be the old optimal playstyle, can't deny that he's stronger on that aspect @Kirra , but the only problem we have with that is the power being weak and heavily restricted with an unavoidable 4 second stuns at the end, if anything now i try to get stunned by pallet instead of desactivating it because i don't lose all my vision and it takes less time to recover from a pallet stun than frenzy's stun.
I wouldn't mind the power being weak if it wasn't so heavily restricted to use and if we wouldn't have to eat a 4 second stun everytime we desactivate it.
The stun is there to prevent you from hitting someone with FF and with a regular attack immediatly afterwards, which is not the intended design.
If you deactivate it yourself, you keep the remaining power. If you get pallet slammed you lose everything. Not worth it.
-
You guys are aware that if the nerf makes that much of a difference to you, you were probably playing her wrong right?
Just to be sure.
Not everything in this game has to be an insurance for after you fail your job at preventing gens to be done.
-
This game DESPERATELY needs tutorials in order to teach people how to chase.
The amount of unreasonable bitching about M1 killers is disgusting.
And I'm also willing to bet my ass that 80% of the people complaining aren't even at a rank where tiers matter too much.
You're just upset you can no longer win chases with no counterplay, that's all.
-
Haven't had a problem with the stun so far. After getting a free frenzy hit, you can still reposition yourself in a place where the survivor can't get anywhere too safe, or literally play the game like any other killer except only having to hit them once.
-
Even if I didn't think you're salty and refusing to adapt and overall whining about nothing, you can't possibly think you're entitled to a refund for something you already made plenty of use of.
-
@ClogWench said:

Yes, I fully believe it was needed and I also believe Legion is a solid mid tier killer now thanks to the changes.
And way more fun to play for anyone who wants to use their brain
And a healthier design overall
-
we actually live in a world in which people complain about not being able to LITERALLY BLOCK PEOPLE IN A SPOT WITH NO COUNTERPLAY
jfc guys
is that how you want to get kills really? Waiting for a timer to bleed out? Making it literally impossible for people to play the game?
are you that petty?
-
Realistically almost every killer has some sort of bullshit addon but Prayer Beads is in another level
It should at least be Ultra Rare.
-
Wow so now you can't have a free escape after your team lost the game and the killer actually has the advantage he should have in that situation
Poor you
-
Good luck asking a refund for that. You'd literally only get it if BHVR decide to be extremely kind about it, they have no obligation to do so. No game has an obligation of refunding paid content that gets changed afterwards. That's not how these things work, and if you don't know that, maybe you shouldn't be spending money on games, or should ask for parental supervision.
-
Curious to know how many of you have your full time jobs as hobbies when you get home too.

If you're regularly getting hit by his chainsaw I don't know what to tell you
-
Do you guys have an easy time vs EW3 Myers?
It seems like you do, because if no one cleanses, that's exactly how she plays.
I don't know what survs you're versing, or how bad you are at countering looping, but vs an okay killer they EVENTUALLY will need to cleanse. Doing it early is extremely stupid, but eventually they will.
And once one person cleanses, EVERYONE has to, because it's unviable to remain injured at all times vs her Corrupt Purge.
Out of all the M1 no mobility killers, Myers is the only one who's better than her. People just need to STOP PLAYING HER LIKE ALL THE OTHER KILLERS. Infect everything early, eventually they'll all be broken. Don't overcommit to chases. Yes, you'll need something to delay the game, probably Ruin. Most killers do. Most killers struggle with gen rushing and looping, it's not a problem exclusive to her.
Adapt ffs.
-
Even if Corrupt Intervention isn't that great on most killers, it does its job to help pipping, right?
Since you effectively buy 120s for the Gatekeeper score.
Not the most fun and interactive gameplay though. But then again, neither is Ruin.
-
@CallMeSpidey said:
I never understood the instant heal if you cleanse.
You shouldn't heal, you should stay injured.
Would make no difference whatsoever. People would just cleanse even less against her.
There's already little to no incentive to cleanse against her. The thing with Plague is that no one wants to cleanse until one person does, then everyone has to.
I personally don't think she needs any more buffs than any of the other non top tier/M1 killers. If you don't cleanse against her, she eventually plays like EW3 Myers. When you do, she becomes easier Huntress. Poeple just need to stop trying to play every single freaking killer the same way.
Also the stats are from shortly after her release. They mean very little when it comes to her viability.
