Forgot to tell you the fact that you are hurting other survivor players too, actually you are hurting them more because there is only one killer per match while there is three other survivors per match, which means you are making 3 survivors miserable while making a killer slightly unhappy.
-
I'd be surprised if they managed to fix blight collision at all, to be honest.
Most maps doesn't even have consistent bump mechanics, I'm not believing they can fix hug tech in any way.
-
Here goes the strange players who handicap their own BP gain for some reasons.
-
Dead hard is unironically healthier today, made for this isn't though.

So far I've had no issues (or another Exhaustion perk would have served the Survs better) with MfT as Trapper, Wraith, Billy, Nurse, Myers, Bubba, Pig, Clown, Legion, Ghosty, Demo, Oni, Mister Yeehaw, PH, Blight, Nemmy, Artist, Onion Ring, Dredge, Weskin' Time, SM, or Singularity. Of the ones unlisted I haven't tried them (with an opposing MfT) or are in the difficulties category listed below.
Huntress is a mixed bag, as snipes are punished, but close multi-hits are further rewarded (they don't have any other Exhaustion perk to save them). Doctor using his power is legit unplayable, he slows himself down far far far too much to get value against MfT, and you just have to brainlessly hold-W instead. Doc can only use his power to force death corners (enter room with window and dropped pallet, shock so they can't vault either). Technically as Mister Yeehaw a No Mither mad chad pre-ran from a mile away, but then she wasn't doing gens, so it made her more scared and helped me more than hurt me, even if she didn't bring No Mither.
So yeah I figure only Doc mains have room to complain, but a simple fix would have his shock work like Wesker's lag grab at vaults, and teleport Survivors backwards. It wouldn't be fun or fair (just like Wesker when he gets those bugged/lag hits), but it would make the Killer functional in the modern landscape. To be fair I have a relatively small sample size with each of the Killers listed above, but in most cases a Sprint Burst, Lithe, or Dead Hard instead of MfT would have served them better in my matches as Killer. Technically yes, you can run DH + MfT, but that is similar to using Botany+Desperate Measures, and is better for meme builds than actual value.
The only MfT nerf I would agree with is removing the Endurance from this perk and putting it on something like Buckle Up or a new perk instead. The current state has it legit be 2 perks in 1, and it has no right to do so. At least other multi-purpose/value perks have more reasonable conditionals (eg. OTR on unhook).
It have "no issue" only if survivors aren't capable of proper looping, and game better not be balanced around those who don't know the basic mechanics.
-
At least it tells how this game will be boring af if you look for "winning", so there is that.
Works as a counter argument for "you don't need to do XXX to play the game".

In my opinion survivor is more easy then killer
At least they have much less things to manage, that's for sure.

So, if killer can't win, it's not because who play are weak? It's only survivor player who can be weak?
Let me guess, that's not what you wanted to implied? we have to buff all killer because survivor are to strong but people who play them are just stupid and weak?
Huh? isn't it about whether winning is difficult or not? I don't get what you are talking about.
I'm just stating the fact good solo que players who can properly loop, try to break 3 gen, heal efficiently, and coordinate like real team do exists, and winning against those players are difficult.

And why do you think they are weak? It’s because the state of solo queue right now is abysmal especially if killers play sweaty and try to get survivors out of the game early.
Nope, they are weak just because they are weak, not because of any game mechanics.
90% of things SWF can, could also be done in solo que too, please don't pretend like they can't.
-
Ah yes, yet another penalty for swf.
Wouldn't happen.
-
This certainly is strange, survivors are even limited in their BP gain already, why are they making it even harder to get the cake?
-
Too much effort for something that is counterable even without EMP, and perhaps that could be a problem.

Against solo queue, you are far from correct. Unless you’re against a really good team with comms, killer isn’t that hard.
Solo queue is only weak because majority of players within solo queue is weak, and which isn't exactly the case for every regions.
There can very well be a good survivor team in solo q.

Smurfing is real, I believe.

I wish I had more control over my teammates
Ah yes, only if we had a mechanics that allows people to play with their own ally of choice, something like... survive with your friend I think?
-
Teleport doesn't even guarantee a hit for most of times, why are you caring.
-
Ah yes streamers winning games, nothing new.
Or newbie killers matching against newbie survivors and stomping them, nothing new there either.

Tell me you're a killer main without telling me you're a killer main. Its the easiest gameplay I've ever had
Yeah, playing against bots in custom matches be like that.
-
Honestly I'm pretty sure MFT itself is insanely strong as is and problematic perk as a single perk, not stacking wouldn't fix anything.
-
Honestly I thought everyone gonna complaining in day 1 and expected to see all such post on forums, and it took... a week? to pop up?
Both exposed and pallet breaking is strong af power, survivor powers aren't anywhere near as those, but even then it's not like survivors can't finish generators with all those powers sooooo....
Considering all those powers mostly only helps weaker end of killers, we could keep it as basekit and still have kill rates of nothing out of ordinary.
-
I was about to say "absolutely not" back but ended up not doing so.
-
How can a survivor make several mistakes still win and complain? A killer has to play near perfect these days.

Here's my thoughts on this, I am quite familiar with a build such as this, before it's nerf, I used the eruption meta to hold 7 gens consistently. I am also familiar with the slow burn war of attrition playstyle he employed and have done so many times myself, it will work and people are not familiar with it generally. I however, feel myself at least would be more confident with all-seeing spirit and silent bell or perhaps swift hunt in this context. And with bamboozle and STBFL in place of some of his perks and adding in POP, I feel like I could do well in such a game as these. With all-seeing there is no waste of POP, I know exactly where to take it provided I have the hook for it, of course, if restricted to lesser addons I can use shadow dance + swift hunt or blind warrior mixtures.
I will say this as much, people who doubt the builds I say work so well, you will encounter a similar experience as these players did when you go against me, I use a build/strategy most are unfamiliar with and this is just evidence of what I've been saying that it can work. It's a slow burn as you can see, but the pressure and control over the game you can exert as a Wraith, people often aren't aware of how much they've screwed themselves before it's too late.
But either way, fun video, I no longer expect people to see Wraith's potential, in fact I kind of prefer people don't at this point, as it makes the element of shock and surprise that much more effective when I play :)
btw call of brine regress 3.75 additional seconds over 60 seconds compared to normal kicking, not sure if you care but just a reminder.

boons dont expose you, show the killer your location and force you to kick them or you cant do your objective (anymore)
Dark theory is actually as strong as that, but I know no one can accept this fact.

hatch is slightly killer sided, because killer is quicker then survivor = able to cover more area at the same time. It's slightly off topic, but let's not pretend hatch is surv sided.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/380954/last-survivor-hook-escape
The issue is, that this happens mainly if survivor hides and won't take a hit/chase for his teammates. Other people then die before you and there's not enough time for gens to be completed. It's usually (not always) kinda your fault too - making it fair to not give you free attempt (which is most of the time only prolonging the game needlessly). Try to play a little more altruistically and maybe you will get to this situation less.
Survivors have gens, gates, and hatches for escaping, they have three stage for escapes.
It would killer sided if closing hatches equate to killer winning, but that's not the case, survivors can very well open the gate and escape even after the hatch is closed.
It is survivor sided.

The whining will never stop unfortunately. Most people are okay with critiquing their own performance but there's also a subset of people who will never acknowledge that their skill may not be as great as they think it is. It's always someone, or something, else's fault when they lose.
Except skill has nothing to do with game health.

Still, killers these days could at least TRY to get every player hooked once before committing to one person.
The person falling victim to a scummy killer does not enjoy the game at all. We all want to play to have fun, but in some cases that is quite impossible, especially if you get found first, and then tunneled the entire game.
I would never play in a scummy way when I am the killer, even if it cost me a hook or two. It is much more fun interacting with every aspect of the game, instead of being a tryharding meta slave. That goes for the survivor side too. It's much more fun that way.
Anyways, personally I think camping/tunneling/genrushing and such needs to be less effective for point gains and grade requirements. It is not fun to play in the sweatiest way possible
They can't even "try" to get every player hooked, simply because by the time they understand it's not going to work, everything is too late.
If you want to force killers to hook everyone, game has to work that way even against decent survivors, it's just that game is NEVER designed to work without tunneling no matter what.
Fun is entirely subjective really, "tunneling is not fun" isn't even correct for everyone.

DS: just slug.
Dead Hard: just bait it.
Pop: Just take blast mine.
Yep, everything is so easy in this game, I don't even know why devs bother rebalancing perks.
Huh? you don't even need to do it, just being good at chase or simply finishing gen quick can also work, just that blast mine kinda works on extremely bad survivors too.
If you seriously thinks those perks are equivalent, you are just being ridiculous.

Only level 4 of tomes (and rarely tbh) force 4k, unless I missed it this tome. Same for emblems, 4k aren't required.
4k is requirement in emblems at iridescent tier.

We definitely do not need additional hindrance for solo q, for sure.
it should be something more useful too.
-
It shouldn't be related to killers/survivors, what it should be is a slot for something less "meta".
Survivors could put bond there but not lithe, something like that.

How tf are you completing a gen in 5 seconds?
BNP/prove thyself/potential energy, last one is actually not 5 seconds.
For more consistent and realistic situations it'll be like 33 seconds with PT and 3 survivors, still hella quick though.
-
just take blast mine with you, it will easily eat up 1/4s of PGTW duration.
-
Well deserved for rather underwhelming perks tbh.

That isn’t holding W though that’s just chaining tiles. In which case I’d agree depending on the killer being played and the skill of the survivor
If were talking about holding W as I understand it then overcome is better. It’s way more consistent and allows you to potentially break the chase completely after a hit unlike MFT. 3% is big in tight loops but from point A to B isn’t as noticeable with plenty of killers being able to deal with the added speed
But you can still utilize pallet/windows during holding W depending on tiles, not exactly all the time but still possible.
-
@Phasmamain said:
Made for this is much better in tight looping scenarios than holding W. If you want to hold W overcome is much more viable than MFT
In tight loops against 110% killers it’s absurd though
It gives you few (maybe two-digit of) additional meters for every windows/pallet you uses, it very well enhance holding W a lot, just that it's even stronger in looping.
No other exhaustion perks are THIS strong, all those perks only works for a tile or two while this perk works for every tiles and allows survivors to chain the tiles they otherwise couldn't, MASSIVELY enhancing holding W unlike those exhaustion perks.
-
We could've said game is fair if MFT did not exist.

This. It rewards poor skill and as OP said, they don't deserve it but the game allows it and so they will go for it whenever possible.
Luckily my matches just end with hatches lately at worst.
It doesn't really reward "poor skill" or anything though, it means killers still managed to sacrifice two survivors with few times to spare, which basically indicate they are skilled to the point they basically won.
-
What, do anyone cares about BP at all?
-
@Gandor said:
Yes sure. Go for it. Fix in the same way 3gen camping - if killer is not willing to move away from hook, take one of the gens and exchange it for completed one on the other side of map. Say after 5 minutes of no chase...
Except "5 minutes of no chase" doesn't happen for killers in 3 gen situations.
And then "x minutes of no down" becomes extremely punishing.
-
It's quite strange no one asked this in AMA tbh, lol.
We definitely do not need a weird approved disconnection for survivors today.
-
Because survivors are also allowed to focus on a gen and delete it within 5 seconds without any killer interaction at all, games be like that.
-
If you care about edge case like nurse that much, just run distortion.
Then it won't be any easier than just a normal chase, on top of it nurse isn't any faster than 115% killers right now, due to range addons being nerfed.
And any other killers beside nurse doesn't have much benefit from it, not a problem.
-
Do you actually believe killer usage rate is related to strength at all? it's not like the perks which doesn't have gameplay value for most of times.
-
@Devil_hit11 said:

it helps player who are not good at tunneling into becoming better more efficient tunneler's that now actively look to tunnel when they previously did not. This is like survivor asking for UI for what the cooldown of every killer power is to be written on screen.
Wait, there is a players who are not good at tunneling? hard to believe it.
-
I'm having whopping 30% usage rate of made for this in my matches, does it indicate I'm matching with better player than vast majority or something? or is it just a regional thing? time of the day? quite interesting.

Sounds like somebody straight up doesn't understand what's going on in Dead by Daylight.
I didn't know we had an official guide like that, lmao.

Three gens popping in first chase is understandable, two more popping in 2-3 hooks are not.
Something has changed.
