or instead of slowdown they could use chase perks
With wesker? why.
He is not a M1 killer with extremely limited chase potential.
-
It's funny people just don't realize it when ping favors them, and notice it when it favors killer, so accuse those systems to "always favor killer".
-
That's the result of removing slowdown variety from killers.
-
Honestly being forced to stay healthy is good enough restriction, as long as it won't make 150% happen...

can we all move on and just agree MFT is perfect the way it is? main killers used to complain about survivors using the same perks always and always, and now survs are using new builds and ppl still complaining?
So instead of using same old perks always and always, survivor would use same new perks always and always, and somehow that's a good thing?
I don't get that logic really.
-
Punishing killers for using their power is stupid.

Thats comparing her just going in a straight line, and I think we all know that Nurse doesnt care about walls.
And walls barely matters in majority of maps.

Of course there is counter to EMPs - using your power to infect survivors, and locking down gens with pods. Do these fast and oppressively enough, and survivors will have to keep burning EMPs constantly to progress objectives and not have a murderbot with a massive number of built-in effects teleporting in their backs.
And even then you can only chase one survivor at a time and gens will be done thanks to wasting countless amount of time for nothing.
-
Can we stop all those "you just don't know" nonsense?
He is literally worse version of pretty much any killer of this game, everything requires manual control and there is no real pressure in his power.
-
Honestly you just need to play in right time where there is countless amount of weak survivors, nothing too difficult.
-

Allowing to leave without any penalty. I am noticing a HEAVY amount of survivors who give up and purposefully try to unhook themselves on their first hook just to get out of the game without a penalty. "
And if they get unhooked, they run at the killer again, its legit just ruining the game.
IMO if a survivor dies within the first 3-4 mins of the game, let a forfeit submission between the remaining allowed.
I generally queue with 1 other person, and we legit have to gen-rush to escape and its 100% lame and not fun. I want to run away from the killers, but it seems like everything got nerfed for survivor and I legit can hit them through a window with 0 effort, its almost like vaulting through a window isnt worth but juking is.
And by doing so they will waste more time and reported for properly with video evidence?
-
Mobility of nurse isn't anything special, chase power of demogorgon is not anything special, vaulting ability of wesker is massively downgraded version of legion, same goes for slowdown, and tunneling ability is nowhere near close to PH because it takes LOT of seconds to fully infected after unhook, every killer will eventually catch you.
1 minute is too long, it could be paused during chase but I doubt it to do anything because by the time infection reaches MAX the killer wasted enough time on you, kinda like bloodlust 3.

Not 100%. If you patrol your gens you’ll find survivors. You’ll even find the survivor you hooked so you can hook them again.
If you patrol gens you might find a survivor or two, depends on RNG.
If you go back to hook you WILL find survivors.
Anyone who even remotely trying to play "serious" would choose to go hook, rather than gens.
-
I mean, you can even make it non-hex and still wouldn't be THAT good.

I don't really see any desperate need to buff Killers.
From all we've seen from stats, most Killers are doing well.
Last stats are almost a year ago, and that was the best time for killers.
Lot has been changed in favor of survivors, seriously a lot.
Using extremely outdated stats for reasoning seems pointless.
-
There is no altruism when there is no one to rescue.
-
What's the problem? it's not like devour is strong or anything, it's good but generally just 14 seconds removed from a survivor.
-
Lot of basekit auras, deja vu, kindred (maybe without killer aura) or even bond, and also capability to see teammate perks, and even some kind of fixed text chat wheel.

I understood. Still not done on a gen or by players who know better.
And that only makes it more problematic, why keep it when they might stop doing so if they can't annoy as much as now and let them properly play the game?
-
At least base bp gain needs to be buffed, it doesn't makes sense to just take away things without anything for compensate.
-
I mean, at this point why not just bring a perk that gives killers 1% movement speed per every generators finished? with all those 3% doesn't matter/only good loopers become good logic it wouldn't be a problem really.
-
make it 30 minutes AFTER last gen popped and I'd say that'd do good.

I'm pretty sure the game can track how frequent someone kobes. That combined with multiple reports should lead to harsher punisment. Think about how other games handle this. There are a lot of games that will not allow you to dc in the middle of the match and there is a punishment for throwing the game or being afk as well.
That is in my opinion how BHVR should handle this situation too.
Why do people punished for using existing game mechanics? that's stupid.
Do not implement a thing that will be penalized for doing, just remove it.
-
There is countless far worse maps, they definitely shouldn't waste time on playable maps.
midwich isn't even that great on common killers, it's just merchant and nurse and blight which is no way map issue.
-
"kinda useless" huh? it's effect was pretty strong all the time, the only thing that was handicapping it was limitation of no lunge and not enough tokens, which will be buffed in next version.
And you'd better have NEW perk for your idea, doesn't really fit perk name tbh.

4 survivors infected is 5.06 m/s for nemesis. that is really fast.
hey at least it takes effort and survivors can counter it too, it's not like you'll be running at 4.12 just for being something that will inevitably happens and basically giving no counter to other side.

The thing is that how many people do you see abusing the super haste builds? The average person isn’t gonna be working as hard as they can to abuse the perk.
About 80% of matches, my opponents tend to be rather competent enough unlike lot of people here claims to be, and it's not like I'm god tier killer either.
Strange experience.

From what I read Sadako is basically getting the Freddy treatment. Everything is changed to be as boring and linear as possible, while also being awfully weak.
You will not get to teleport because TVs will be turned off, and even if you do, what's the big deal? You can't condemn survivors holding a tape other than hitting them or hooking a survivor, which means you can't slow the game, which means you don't have time to commit for chases, which results in even less pressure and faster games.
All of this is fueled by the fact the only way she would be able to make condemnation a threat is by playing hit and run (she can't end chases quick enough), which also doesn't work because there is more of an incentive to deactivate her power now, which forces her to run around the map like the powerless killer she is. Funnily enough, even if she should manage to magically gather condemnation on survivors, it's no trouble at all. You just go to the nearest TV and get rid of your tape. So, it's like Freddy's dream world where it technically is a slowdown but in reality it does so little and the rest of your power is so bad that games are going to end faster anyway.
It just doesn't fit together. This feels like they just mixed up the pieces of a douzen different puzzles and expect them to create a cool new picture. But really all it does is create a mess.
I mean, even freddy have something that actually helps him get hit, and his teleport is actually reliable.

There is passive pressure for an entire team, that seems very similiar to a certain killer with chains. If we exclude the condemn build with both add-ons I think new sadako will be better.
What passive pressure? only way to get condemn at all is when you get hit or get hooked, which shouldn't happen in any meaningful number against pure M1 killer like her.
Pinhead, on the other hand, has completely passive pressure you don't even need to do anything, has decent anti-loop too, and also has greatest tunneling addon, what sadako have? sub two-digit seconds of "slowdown" every 3 hooks? on a M1 killer?
-
Uh you shouldn't meet those kind of players unless you win consistently I think, MMR is more or less working.
Well it might not be true for some timezones but still.

No, condemn was definitely designed to be a slowdown mechanic that when ignored results in a loss. This mori slug thing that willie made meta was never the intention. Insta mori is crap design because it was never intended to happen unless the survivors were negligent.
Basically it was a mechanics that barely did anything, and now do nothing at all.
dead killer, for sure.

I think it's to early to say her rework is a nerf or a buff. Just going to have to wait and see. Personally I like the direction they going but some of the stuff makes me feel like the tapes won't be as much as a slowdown as others make it out to be. I don't like the whole "they can use the tape on any TV" part. I feel it should always be the furthest TV that way the survivor has to be careful not to get caught with a tape while traveling to their TV. There few other things I don't care for but overall I'm going to wait to see how it plays out. I'm hoping she going to be fun to play at least.
I mean, we've done "wait and see" countless times and like 95% ended just same as expectation.

It's not as big of a deal on an m1 killer but it is a big deal on high mobility killers. 24 meters is a lot.
Either way it's often far superior to most other aura reading killer perks, it's the only one that is too strong imo. All the others are either in a good spot or are too weak. And I'm saying this as someone who likes using NTH because games where survivors hide excessively tend to be pretty boring imo and I do like that this perk discourages that a bit. I just think that the following radius is a little much.
most killers can't really look around while moving at high speed, nurse, blight, hillbilly, all in same vein, only one that can fully utilize this perk is wraith but then he has no problem finding survivors anyway.

Yes...
Goodbye hook grabs.
Too bad they didn't fix the entire reason why camping almost always happened during the end game. That being that gates are impossible to defend if more than 1 person is still alive, so the Killer's gonna defend the hooked survivor because they can actually do that.
I'm pretty sure killers will start playing in even more unplesant ways now that that safety net of camping in the end game is gone.
At least there is one less things to inflate kill rates without actually making them viable, and that is great.
-
@sizzlingmario4 said:
I agree. I think it should be centered on the gen, not the killer. Then it would be fine.
It is fine even with following radius, just 24 meters.

Trapper is already the best killer, so moot point.
Also, Sadako had a very, VERY bland way of maintaining condemned imo. This is a hell of a shake up, and anyone who says its trash without even trying it first is clearly just venting.
Vent, community. Vent!

Maybe people will come up with new play styles instead of slug city. Literally all Ive seemed to come across vs Sadako.
Like what? slug was only viable way to play her, and not gonna say that was good, but I'm pretty sure this "rework" literally makes her powerless killer like old singularity.
This change bring nothing, literally no strategy at all, maybe she could do tunneling slightly better but that's about it.
"maybe" is useless when that is nothing but a hopeful guess.

15 seconds isn't all that much for a secondary part of a 3 part power.
It's 90 seconds, all on survivor's hand, at any of TVs for almost free.

Are you saying the mori is her power? Because that was always intended and should be game slowdown not the goal.
Increased teleport cooldown makes her literally impossible to do anything meaningful, this problem already existed for quite the time but it's now worse.
-
@Nazzzak said:
It's nice but won't stop much except the hook dance around. Killer will still intercept incoming survivor, get a hit before the unhook, and one after the unhook. If they intercept the survivor at a decent distance then the survivor will have to either abort the unhook or potentially go down trying. I rarely see hook grabs in my games, mostly it plays out with the dance around then a hook trade.
Isn't that more or less intended though, it's not like they changed it to make every hook rescue safe.
-
But then gen kicking is actually limited, it's not like they stop regressing by themselves, 24 meter is not so small but not so big either.
-
They are too quick to get a down, unlikely to get value from corrupt.

She is complete garbage now and will never get to use her power once again against a coordinated team.
And even if she do it absolutely does nothing, because having tapes aren't risky in slightest.
She is literally just a M1 killer with almost nonexistent slowdown mechanics, I can honestly believe pig would be unironically better version of her "rework".

MFT is not anywhere near as bad as old OoO...
Maybe pre 6.6.0 DH? But I wouldn't even go that far.
Its obviously a very strong perk, but not as game breaking as a lot of people think.
Well unless your playing trickster or doctor, then your #########.
Honestly, if a perk completely kill certain subset of killers, I'd call it game breaking.
-
I'd rather have lethal tbh, I do want to chase than playing hide and seek until a gen pops.
-
It might be a way to fight 3 genning, but honestly it seems worse than what it is now.
-
It's not even mistake or losing, it's literally a inevitable that will happen no matter what, and that is actually kinda worse.

Saying we shouldn't buff a bad perk because it's unfun to go against is a terrible argument considering 99% of them are unfun to go against.
It's a niche perk that, as you said, isn't really useful, suggesting we should keep it in a barely viable state because you don't want people to use it is silly.
Honestly, niche perk that doesn't do anything while being actually infuriating to other side, might as well not exist.
-
@DudelPuma said:
nah, a second objectiv for the survivor next to the gens is being created here and that's good! Nemesis's infaction should also do more so that survivor are forced to use them (only they should be usable again and again like in Singu) also in Wesker's infaction is fine if the sprays were unlimited
Secondary objective that completely negates killer power for extremely short period of time, will simply make them to stop playing that killer, also massively hurts kill rates just like singularity.
Secondary objective is good, but not like the way that makes killer powerless.
This one is definitely not "good" or "healthy" in slightest.

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/381931/the-sadako-changes-are-mostly-good-buuut
Problem with 1 tv was, that if you saw which tv was used, you could have guessed where survivor is going - which created similar (but not as bad) situation, as old pig camping one box the whole game and depending on RNG some survivor got killed by afk killer.
Like I do have a feeling tapes will be bit too strong, but keeping more then a single tv ready is good change. We will see in PTB (might be she is too strong already. Who knows for sure?). The easiest thing would be to limit it to say 3-4 tv's on the other side of map (or at least 2 tv's) or possibly lowering TP cooldown a little more to compensate.
Let's be real, that problem already got fixed simply by making condemn to not progress while having a tape.
It's not like killers can spread condemns without working for it in new one.
-
map issue is actually something they know they have to fix.

Nothing I said is wrong, and the Prove Thyself nerf is unnecessary.
The BNP nerf, that's a much better and more impactful change. Nerfing Prove Thyself is going to do either nothing at all because it was never the reason gens went so fast, or it'd hypothetically make gens faster because people stop grouping up. Just because BHVR are doing it doesn't automatically make it a good or necessary idea, lol.
Honestly I could even consider BNP "nerf" as buff, because it can not be regressed anymore.

Yeah you've lost gen, lost hatch, and killer used a counter to deal with gate camp too.
I don't see any problem here, it's not like hatch escape matters for you anyway.
Not exactly related but you even have 2 hooks.
