Oh right, like anyone is going to dig in few years of posts where only thing you know is it's about huntress / hatchet / hitbox and hope there is chance any dev addressed it.
If you are here for some time and you know the answer, just say it. It's not like this topic is here everyday.
It's same amount of effort as your comment, but actually has some value.
So, what this guy said:

Just used "Huntress Hitbox" in the search bar, clicked on the first discussion and found this explanation:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/LGNFI3GGYFO1/image-jpeg.jpg
Not doing a lazy persons work for them, OniWantsYourMacaroni is just more selfless I guess.
___________
And I'm sorry you didn't find a dev comment, but the reasoning applies. People need to use the search function. That's literally the point. So we don't rehash the same topics over and over again.

How have they never been fixed? I know its no secret that they are super wonky and its pretty much a meme at this point.---and in the hands of a pro huntress, can snipe across the map with it. Every other ranged killer pretty much needs a direct hit.. and the Trickster gets next to no lee-way.. and at least in my opinion-- is actually even more difficult to land hits and needs 6 of them.
With her crazy range and only 1 landed hit needed for injury.. Her hitbox is a bit ridiculous. and I wont even talk about those Iri heads. <.<
I actually have fun going against Huntress as a survivor.. but it always feels really bad when you are clipped by a hatchet and it's not even near your body.
This has been addressed by devs, please use search function.

And he still doesn't owe this thread a response after that.

For the past few weeks, the amount of unenjoyable Nurse games has absolutely skyrocketed, nearly every 2nd/3rd game regardless if I have been winning/losing has just been Nurse, Nurse, another Nurse, maybe if the game is feeling nice they'll give me a different killer, then a return to our all-Nurse marathon.
In every single one of these games, we as a team get stomped every. single. time. It's gotten to the point where I don't understand how Nurse apparently has a "low killrate", either they're all sitting at the very bottom of MMR, or someone's not telling the whole truth.
Aside from just feeling frustrated about what feels like a killer with no real counterplay (That I know of anyway, seriously please what am I supposed to do against her?) I'm sitting her wondering outside of the occasional twitter post picketing for a Nurse Nerf, I honestly see a ton of people defending Nurse purely because we feel there needs to be atleast one "strong" killer to combat survivors. Doesn't that seem really unhealthy for the game to just have a single character that trumps all?
Genuinely looking for some extra insight on this.
I saw you ask for genuine advice I think, earlier on my phone. Give this thread a read: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/325952/tell-me-how-to-counter-a-nurse/p1
Ignore the salty comments that say pray in the beginning, and keep reading. There is counterplay advice here for survivors ranging from easy newb advice all the way to to higher level stuff.
Edit: The big takeaway is that it's not just one piece of advice you need to follow, if you put all the advice together you reach a very magical situation, which is that you will have her properly LOS'd when she is making the second blink. Once you get there, you have significantly more control.

Well. BBQ typically meant 100% more BP unless you got wrecked, someone was hardcore stealthing, or you chose not to spread hooks. I would say I get 4 stacks in 90% of my games. I think you're underestimating how consistent BBQ is. WGLF, not so much.
But yeah, as others have said, they didn't reduce the grind enough for removing those perks to produce a net positive. I didn't really struggle with perks that much, so while this is helpful to me on new chapters, it's also making addons and items more of a nuisance and I don't like that at all.
I like that I don't feel glued to a particular perk anymore, but I was hoping they'd make the bloodpoint bonuses basekit, and I'd rather have them in perk form than not at all.
I think it would be amazing for BHVR to release statistics on the #unique survivors hooked per game, as a means to actually measure BBQs efficacy, I suspect it will be lower than most people claim.

I know results of my games during anniversary. I have played around 50 hours as a killer, all with BBQ and I remember only 4 games where I failed to get 4 stacks -> I had 2/3. and that was because of challenges and I played pig / clown.
Cool story. Personal anecdotes make not for a compelling argument.
Nor do they change anything I said.

I and other people did math behind it and find out their grind reduction as based on how many characters you want to play.
For me as survivor it increased by 20% instead and I play about 5 killers, so grind is same there for me.
I have played most of my games with BBQ and I focused to get 4 stacks in those games, so for me it is 100% more BP unless I screwed it in that game.
Does not change the fact that BBQ is not a guaranteed 100% BP, WGLF less so and the people who use 100% more BP in their argument are being disingenuous. Regardless, putting BP riders on only one perk for each side is terrible game design. OP has the right of it.
I'm not addressing the rest, it's not on topic.

If a survivor crawls to an obscure corner of the map to deliberately avoid being hooked just so they can bleed themselves out, they could have just instead waited for the killer to hook them and then just hook suicided.
A survivor that wants to die won't go to the corners of the map because it's faster to die by being hooked. A survivor that doesn't want to die won't use this feature.
That's the point. They get to crawl to an obscure place to use this feature to deliberately deny the killer a shot at finding them.
It has been proven time and time again that if there is an avenue for abuse, it will be abused.
We've seen survivors DC on last hook, dude. Spite is a measurable metric.

@Witas said:
Seriously, what the heck ? Whether the new grind reduction is actually good enough and accomplishes what we wanted it to do well is a separate topic (All they had to do was remove perk tiers lol), but with it being mostly better, and the new matchmaking incentives, the overall bp gain and grind definitely won't be worse even without the bonuses from these perks. Regardless, did people actually like using those ? How ?! You had to run these perks or you were actively robbing yourself of bp, it was annoying if you couldn't get the perk since you felt cheated out of bp due to pure luck and annoying even if you got it since you actually had 3 perk slots instead of 4 and the game was actively punishing you for every match you chose to opt for a different perk by reducing your rewards by half. It was unhealthy as it made the whole grind revolve around it and substantially reduced build variety. Them addressing the core systems and finally removing this reliance on a single perk (per role) for efficient play is just straight up a good thing and it boggles my mind how people miss it. I remember letting out an audible sigh of relief when reading those perk changes and thinking to myself "FINALLY ! After 5 years my builds won't be handicapped. The game will be way better off thanks to it".
So yeah, I don't understand why so many people are going to miss it.
A lot of it is simply poor logic. As evidenced by the first response you got there are still people who think those two perks equal 100% more BP, when in reality it obviously isn't.

I can't force survivors to jump into lockers and I actively check for them so I can complete this achievement, and I'm still not done.

I want soloQ to get buffs but I've become convinced the UI changes won't solve anything. With how many kids openly profess to DCing, giving up and suiciding on hook it appears that so many SoloQ players have just been naturally sorted to the bottom, and they probably belong there.

But, the very fact that most of the nurses and blights exist at the top end of the distribution, proves that they are strong. That's the nature of statistics.
There's 0 proof of this and based on the limited information the devs have released about her kill rate quite a few, if not the outright majority of nurses are underperforming.
Your comments don't play out like you think they do.

Whether or not you think she's OP or perfectly fair or has zero counterplay or is so easy to counter doesn't matter.
No one you're going to argue with about it is going to change their minds about it. Ever. Period. Their mind has been made up, it will be completely unshaken no matter what.
It's not something you can prove or provide evidence for, it's just a complete difference in how the game is seen and you will never change that.
Now continue arguing.
My only issue is when the bombardment of threads adds zero new ideas or thoughts to the complaints. Just the same thing, over and over.

It is a mistake to treat either as a monolith.

Mains will always pick fights with you for their side. Until the day when they play both sides and see what it's like there will never be together.

Did you get lost? This isn't a 'Nurse-Thread'. Judging by your post history you never play soloq so why even post here?
Back to the topic: I, for myself, hope there will be lots of people still using Selfcare just for the sole reason soloq players will complain about it (and rightfully so) so it's gonna get buffed again in a patch or 2. The nerf is ridiculous and literally ONLY nerfs soloq. I have never seen anyone in a SWF run it. If I (or one if my mates) brings a healing perk in SWF its usually COH and after the buff probably Botany.
I post in many threads and I generally only duo, so i have 2 randoms in my games all the time.
Feel free to attack my arguments though instead of betraying how butt hurt you are about previous interactions.
-
The people who attack him as a person and a content creator are searching for low hanging fruit because they can't address the video.
The people who are bringing up his other content as means to discredit this suffer similarly uninteresting deficits.
The people who say this test is pointless because it's in a dead zone and the survivors run in a straight line are failing to understand that the video is highlighting a worst case use scenario, and in that, DS is extraordinarily weak.
I would have loved it if he did this along side a best case use scenario (next to a god pallet or large LOS blockers), but it doesn't take much critical thinking to understand why he set up his experiment from only one perspective.
Some of you need help.
-
It got nerfed because at higher levels it was being used very effectively.
Not a hard concept to understand, if you're being paired with baby claudettes that don't use it well then you'd be better off complaining about MMR 🤷♂️ you know, if you truly don't belong with that claudette.
But judging by some of these comments many people belong with that claudette.
-
@GiveMeTheBox said:
Why don't more people play Nurse? I really enjoy going up against them; learning how to duke her blinks and how to effectively use los blockers to your advantage is really fun and satisfying when it works out.
Also, did you know you can pallet stun a Nurse mid-blink?
Damn. You got me. I was about to post an eye-rolling comment.
Damn.
But since we're sharing obscure Nurse facts, if you look up sharply you can reduce your blink, not by as much as looking down, but on multi-level maps you can use this to cut your distance and not blink through the floor when a survivor doubles back.

As a survivor main I have no idea what killers go through on a daily basis and what things are pitted against you. I want to know how the game is for you and what you would do to make the game more balanced. All I ask is that the changes be reasonable. ( I want to and I will listen)
Edit: From what has been told the problems are as followed
- Poor Map design
- Matchmaking
- Perk (for both sides)
- RNG
- Generator Speeds
- Survive with friends
- Toxicity
- Disparity between killers
Thats for now if I missed anything tell me and thank you.
One more to add. God-awful, clunky powers.
A frightening amount of killers have to fight their power as much as they fight the survivors.

2 stacks of STBFL, 10 more seconds to gens, a nerf to survivor's speed boost after injury, tier 1 Brutal, and a slight basekit buff to kicking gens is more than sufficient against solo queue. Solo queue gets the short end of the stick in this game and it's not just because they're all bad. A killer main who has complaints against solo queue, they wouldn't stand a chance in a game that requires more meaningful skills than DBD.
I was not complaining against soloQ, and I don't know why you took it that way. SoloQ has a huge problem where the game has been made artificially easy for them because there are just so many damn potatoes. Both the potatoes and the artificial difficulty decrease need to go.

it definately happens to both sides, I'm being dramatic about one side atm, it's never consistent and I have 50ms on both sides whenever it happens, issue usually stems from someone with a chaotic/high ms connection. Sometimes hits just whiff into a quick hit and sometimes it feels like when you hit a survivor they rubber band to where they actually are (you hit a past version of themself thats corrected to their actual location), it makes playing the game based on reaction very very hard.
As for the m2, it is a bit heavy handed yeah, but it's more of a if they had to do something that took the least effort idea. As a nurse player myself, I'd be upset if they killed a lot of her synergy..
I'm glad you agree about the stunning, no idea sometimes even when I charge blinks I immune the stun, not even my exhausted state.
There is a SLEW of things I would love to see done to Nurse that I know will never happen, and I think most people would appreciate them as fair changes from either side of the aisle:
- Better stun logic on pallets
- Better hit-dressing right out of blink (this really is an all killer thing but she feels it so bad and so do the survivors when it works against them)
- DS, especially now that it's 3 seconds only, really should force her to recharge both tokens (All 3 if she is the one nurse in existence that uses the Torn Bookmark)
- Longer fatigue less vignette and toe-staring. Seriously. What the hell is the point of making her power purposely clunky. Just increase the fatigue and let us see the map
- Several deadzones that vacuum her power on several maps still haven't been addressed
- Rework or reduce range addons, give her an extra meter or two on the blink so she doesn't feel goddawful on the biggest offending maps
- Rework or reduce her recharge addons, give a little bit of it back as basekit so she can feel like she can function without either of these addon branches
- Make the flashlight burn more responsive for the survivor, with a better indicator that Nurse can't blink (or can, if they're doing it wrong)
- Better 'cut-up' angle, meaning changes in elevation shouldn't be ignored just because you can only look so far up when you blink
The list really goes on. They recoded her, but there's still so many missed opportunities to make her more consistent for both sides.
Edit: I was being dramatic too, when I hit that barrel I screeched so damn loud even Nurse told me to chill.

You're asking, as a Nurse main, to be "properly buffed" against solo queue. Show me the example of the killer main that goes over to Apex or Valorant and plays at a competitive level. It's common for Fortnite players, because the META is skill-based and it bypasses a lot of the playerbase in time. That's why I moved on to DBD, it's easy in comparison.
I'm not asking you, as a nurse main, to be properly buffed against solo queue. I was referring to killers in general. I am totally fine with those general buffs not affecting Nurse. I (incorrectly) assumed that my comment was easy to understand based on the contents of this thread and the message I was responding to.
I do not need to justify my or anyone else's competitive gaming creds to you. It's pointless, time consuming, and not even on topic.

Killer mains would be in for a very bad reckoning if they actually had to play a high-skill multiplayer game and not one as comically imbalanced and easy as DBD. There is not a single killer main that would succeed at the highest levels of a game like Fortnite whereas any 12-year old at Champs woudl dominate this game in a month. You guys are full of yourselves.
Whoever hurt you, it isn't me.
-
@Rokku_Rorru said:
Honestly one of my largest issues with Nurse is hit validation, how she hits you before she even shows up if they have a trash connection, but that extends my issue with killers in general atm is just how we can't avoid high ping killers, and I feel that also skews balance a bit as well since the game is never consistent.
More on topic however, I'd just make her m2 not trigger m1 perks for one, and make her stunnable more consistently in her power (as she immunes stuns with her animations half the time) and make her lose her stacks when stunned. She'd still be strong despite these changes too lol
I have issues with the hid validation from the other side. I blinked, went to lunge around one of those barrels that are on fire, and 'hit-dressing' locked me in straight on the barrel and clank! Survivor goes running off into the distance.
Of all the changes they will never do, I believe they will never do M2 being a special attack the most. I'm totally fine with her being more stunnable.

Nurse mains are just way too good at lying thats why she has survived these 6 years, remember when they tried to sell us starstruck is a meme perk on her? lmao
Here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/325952/tell-me-how-to-counter-a-nurse/p1
The difference between you and these Nurse mains is that while you cry into the void, they will literally bend over backwards to try and help you if you're looking to improve. You can bring a camel to water, something something, sometimes that camel is just stupid as hell.
Also, calling me a liar repetitively does not spark the reaction you think it sparks. I understand your need to frame things so that you can feel better about these interactions, but it really is petty.

I hate to sneak in again and ruin all your hard work (huge kudos for going through the effort of putting together the spreadsheet!), but there's another big oversight here: Prestiging resets you to level 1, meaning you get the super tiny levels again. It's just so fun to watch nurses defend her like if they're gonna lose their family, yet she's probably getting nerfed because people refuse to play against her (which I dont agree with, cause everyone deserves to play, but it's understable)
Correct, mob mentality does not make you right.
