Pretty fine, was 3k-4k-ing most of my games (15+) while still using only brown add-ons. The survivors probably weren't the best, but around half of the time there was some swf.
Unless... It is "The Game" map. I couldn't use Pinhead very well there. Easy to break line of sight, many pallets, most loops are big and they break chain before I could get to them.
-
Why are you uploading my profile pic?
-
This happened to me as well, the survivor with the DS went to solve the box.
I also think solving the box should deactivate DS.

You're gold which places you at purple ranks in the old system. Are you saying you never faced red rank survivors as a purple rank killer?
Two more days and we're all Ash and these post can go away.
But after two weeks the grades will be again various: somebody plays a lot, somebody doesn't. So these posts will continue again.

Yeah, it is pretty good for interrupting actions.
-
It is too many, because devs can't keep up with keeping everything bug free.

Being sentenced does not mean that the crime is deserved. Should not vent your anger on things beyond your control. If the disconnection penalty is not cancelled, the penalty time should also be reduced. Moreover, those who are disconnected are just as uncomfortable.
Well... You didn't answer my question. Why should 4 other players suffer because of your bad connection. Also if you know that your connection is bad, why do you continue playing I stead of fixing it first. If you can't fix it, then I am sorry about it, but the solution is not to continue playing and ruin other people's matches.

The disconnection displayed in the game is not necessarily a disconnection, it may be that they actively clicked to exit. But network disconnection is not something players can control. Moreover, the time will be doubled each time, and I don’t even know the upper limit or how to eliminate it. This mechanism will only force players with poor networks to give up the game.
Even if it is not intentional, why should 4 other players suffer because your network connection is not stable?

Not sure why in every discussion Key = Mori.
They nerfed Mori, which is great.
It doesn't mean that they need to nerf Keys at the same time as well. They are unrelated. Because you used to bring Mori when you saw keys is your problem.
Note: I play killer mainly.

Pretty fun, also the animations have a calm nature which helps to keep my calm even if I start losing.
Gives a "let's see if you can escape" attitude instead of an "I must sacrifice you all".

I think they made a really big mistake in activating it most of the way through a month rather than with the reset, because everyone's able to see just how botched the lobbies still are.
During the tests they hid ranks then said how great it was, but when people can actually see that they're still in the same old unbalanced situations it shows that matchmaking is as bad as ever.
Yeah they should have hidden it... Would be way less complaints. 13th is here soon, after that it should be good.
-
Maybe this should be moved to the bug section then.
-
Maybe that's the winning strategy overall. Trying to rescue often brings more sacrifices.
Just saying, don't want to imply anything, and maybe it is not even true.

Play a minimum of 30 games as Survivor or the same Killer. Ignore the first 10 games, because those are games where the SBMMR is adjusting to using the good data after SBMMR was turned on.
For the next 20 games, write down the total kills and escapes made each game. If, at the end of those 30 games, you are getting close to 2 escapes / 2 kills, then SBMMR is working correctly.
It is not that simple... Maybe the killer you will go against just started playing with sbmm so has still wrong sbmm score. We just need to wait until everyone has +-good score.

The SBMM is disappointed of you, and hopefully will give you easier matches, so that you are not sad.

I mean you can leave now...nothing stopping you. One look at your post history and it's pretty obvious you are not happy with the game.
Oh and FYI Fog Whisperers - do not get paid. You keep saying they pay "YouTubers" which is not true and I am assuming you mean Fog Whisperers - which is also not true. It's one thing to be pissy and mad - which you do a lot of - but try to at least stay somewhat honest when you rant.
They get free auric cells so they pay them a bit, but ok, that auric cells stuff is not significant.

Create a video where you show multiple cases of pallet save attempts: killer on your side, killer in middle, killer on the opposite side. It would be easier to reason about and also would be a good proof for a bug request.

Yup. Guessing they ran into legal issues and made the vague comment about file complications so people would still buy the dlc. If it was a technical issue they'd be more open about it. If it IS a technical issue and this is how they've decided to handle it then they seriously need to work on communication.
Yeah, probably what they meant is:
(Licensing) complications with audio files

Slinger and twins?
Twins were bugged so much after release that pinhead looks like a pro polished product compared to twins.

It is shown because the SBMM won't activate until 11am (or whatever time it is you get the updates in your zone). From then you will only see a white Survivor/Killer crest without ranks.
Cool, thanks. I didn't know that.

Every chapter we've had since Oni (with the exception of Blight) has been complete garbage. The killers suck, the one map we got is currently the worst in the game, and the perks are either complete garbage or completely broken. The people asking for a refund have a reason, and with McLean gone, more of these posts will pop up.
So why did they buy Pinhead then, or why do they even still play the game.
-
Workaround: whenever you teleport just scream it loud so even your neighbors hear it: You opened the box and I came!
-
Why is it unplayable?
-
With the new sbmm you need to start to get used to 2k 2e.

Last test didn't feature that many of top3 killers. Most popular killer I faced was in fact Wraith.
I have bad news for you then about your MMR... You are not a top survivor.

Not really because the nurse, blight and spirit when audio are fix will be at the top of mmr. The worst killer the game have to offer like trapper, legion and myers will be at the bottom of the ladder so if you are in the middle you wont see them often i pressume
Not everyone who plays those killers will be very good with them... so many will have lower MMR even with top tier killers.

Hello,
This is meant to facilitate meaningful discussion on some valid criticisms of the new MMR system.
Firstly, we still do not know what a win is. They make numerous references to it in their Dev Update, but BHVR refuses to define it, however, we do know that it isn't based soley off of Kills and Escapes. There are apparently other metrics involved, but we don't know what or how they are weighted. BHVR has decided to hide this information to attempt to dissuade people from abusing the system. However, that is a moot point. People will suicide on hook or go AFK/farm as Killer.
Secondly, there is no visible ranking. Having a visible ranking would do a ton of good for the system and it would allow players to see when the system may not be working as intended. There really isn't a good argument for why it shouldn't be implemented. If you don't take the game too seriously and don't mind having a lower MMR, then it shouldn't bother you to see it. If you take the game more seriously and enjoyed staying at Rank 1, this would help give you a goal to shoot for.
Thirdly, only three Killers will be viable at high MMR. This is actually more of an issue for Survivors, but it does affect everyone. The Killer variety will plummet as you get better at the game. High Ranks will only see Nurse, Spirit and Blight because every other Killer is an almost guaranteed loss. This gets old for both sides FAST and needs to be addressed. Additionally, due to the overabundance of Survivors, less experienced Killers will likely still be matched with these good Survivors due to matchmaking times which defeats the purpose of the system.
Lastly, the system doesn't differentiate between perks, add-ons, offerings or items. If you run Tinkerer, Ruin, PGTW and Corrupt on Nurse and get a 4K, it's the same thing as running perkless Nurse and getting a 4K to the system. There's no difference, despite one requiring a lot more skill. This goes for Survivor as well. The Claudette with DS, UB, SG and DH with a Red Key who gets out through Hatch would be given the same score as a Jake with only Sabo who gets out through Hatch.
Anyway, those are the things I can list off of the top of my head. I think it's important that we talk about these issues, as they are legitimate criticisms that me, and others, have shared.
Implementing perk strength should be relatively easy. They could keep track of perk winrate and use that to adjust MMR gain or loss.
-
I don't think so... Maps like Glenvale or the Farm would completely burn down.
-
@humanbeing1704 said:
I'm like middle mmr so no ill probably never see certain killers like never lol
Why do you think that? Being in the middle should give you the most variety IMO.
-
It could be used for balancing... Top tier swf deathsquad? No pallets for you! :D
-
Hopefully reworking the bloodpoint and perk system which results in a drastical grind reduction

I use a perk randomizer which has a luck factor, which is set to negative so it gives me bad builds and I do just fine. Keeps it fun.
Then I am sorry, you are too good and are destined to face nurses all the time. :(
Maybe try no mither as a last resort.

I played a match without perks by accident. And I got tunneled by an Oni. So please give me all your wisdom of things you obviously have no sense for.
Ok, put on DS then.
There can always be some unique cases, like a Oni starts tunneling you. Look the trends over multiple matches.
-
@th3 said:
Doesn't really matter whether I run meta perks or not, I'm not carried by my perks.
I am pretty sure they help. Try playing without perks then.
-
@Sweet_Tour said:
I don't use meta perks, but I still get Tinkerer Blights, and Mother Daughter ring Spirits. Hell I only have 3 perks on Kate as is.
Put no mither as the fourth perk.
-
@xenotimebong said:
I don’t run meta perks a lot, I play solo and my escape rate is not especially high, and yet last MMR test I went against Blight/Spirit/Nurse/Huntress almost every match towards the end. What should I do to avoid that do you think? Run no perks? Kill myself on hook every other game? DC one match a day?
You say you don't run them a lot... Don't run them ever. Also no items.
If even this doesn't help: put on No mither.
-
@Tiller said:
I rather face the same 3 killer all the time than to have my potato teammates kill me.
Yeah, you can choose to stay in top MMR if you prefer.
-
I often tunneled someone out accidentally, hook counters would remind me who was hooked and how many times.
-
3 gen situations would be impossible to solve for survivors, so some modification is needed.
E.g. it gives as much % as many gens are remaining until exit gates powered.
-
It is such a bad feeling when I sit on a gen and see that two survivors with flashlight follow the killer who is chasing the third survivor... And then two of them go down, because one flashlight guy was injured.

@Katie_met said:
I use sprint burst, spine chill, iron will and then swap the 4th perk to whatever, most of the time it's kindred. Sometimes I do a head on build (that's slowly becoming my main build tbh). The most meta perk I use is probably iron will, and even then that perk is interchangeable. Sometimes I run sprint burst, spine chill, open handed and bond (or kindred).
I don't use dead hard, I think it's stupid, I don't use ds, bt, deliverance or unbreakable.
The strongest item I use is a yellow medkit with bandages, but that's only when I'm solo queuing. I don't like flashlights and keys are vile.
I still went against Blight almost every game in the last SBMM.
Feel free to keep on blaming my perks though 👍️
I am not blaming anything or anyone just had an idea how to lower your MMR.
Try removing/swapping even more perks then. E.g. use urban evasion instead of sprint burst. No mither instead not iron will. :D

It was one of the devs saying it on this forum iirc.
But basically, you won't be just getting completely potato survivors since the basics of playing Killer still applies (which makes sense)
Doesn't it apply only when you start to play a new killer? When you start to play a new killer your strating MMR will be based on the other MMRs you have, but after that it changes independently.
-
Stretch res will further boost their MMR and they will get harder matches, so stretch res will not give them so much advantage anymore...
I predict we will see a lot of stretch res survivors complaining about facing only nurse spirit blight all the time :D

Just an FYI. You'll still have a global SBMM rating for the entire Killer roster. Just because you're bad at a certain killer doesn't mean you'll be facing complete potatoes.
Where do you have this info from?

No disrespect to anyone but have you seen the devs play this game? They are...not top-tier players.
I don't watch them, so I don't know.
But in general, you don't need to be a top player to be able to create something for top players. Just think about sport equipment manufacturers, competition organizers, etc. Or another example, you don't need to be a top singer to be able to manufacture a great microphone for top singers, etc.
