Is it a scam? Don't buy the NFT.
Can you still play DBD? Yes.
Is it bad for the environment? Just like all the most popular cryptocurrencies.
Will steam ban DBD? No, DBD is not based on blokchain and DBD game does not give you NFT (e.g. as an achievement).
Is DBD moving to Epic? I don't know, if yes, I am pretty sure you won't lose the purchased DLCs, cosmetics, your progress.

It does. Now we can discuss balance and don't fight about who has bigger number. If they reveal it without any supporting game data about game results it will end up with a guy who has bigger number with [Bad word] everyone that they have no right for opinion cause *git gud*
But where would this elitism happen? On forums we don't see our game profile, so nobody knows your MMR here.
In endgame chat? Who cares about endgame chat...
Among streamers? Maybe there...
I think that the reason for not showing MMR is that many people would focus on getting high MMR and maybe the gameplay which is META for MMR increase is not fun, or would break the whole matchmaking.

It is not easy to come up with a formula, your's also has flaws.

No
It's not skill based match making, it's escape based match making. That's what I'm gonna be calling it from now on
A survivor playing well and dying so everyone else gets out/getting facecamped to death from the beginning somehow determines they are of lower skill than those who escaped in the match. It's BS
A funnier name is Survival based matchmaking
-
SBMM is Survival based matchmaking, not skill based.
-
I actually use speedup perks so that I don't need to wait long for my NoED to activate.

A perk being used a lot doesn't always mean the perk is problematic. In this case it means that the base gameplay mechanics are not well established and those perks are necessary to fix problems caused by this. For example:
- For survivors nerfing Decisive would increase tunneling, nerfing BT would increase camping and tunneling, nerfing Unbreakable would lead to more killers like Nurse or Oni going for mass slugs etc.
- On the killer side even with the best regression perks killers are at a disadvantage against survivors, nerfing those would only make this worse. Also everyone uses BBQ and nerfing it would just not be cool.
If you want to increase perk variety, you do it by fixing these problems. Give killers a basekit way to slowdown the game and nerf the slowdown perks to even it out. Give survivors basekit ways to prevent tunneling/camping/slugging and nerf their respective perks to even them out.
Yeah, I agree, that the perks you mentioned are quite important. And probably the game should be put in a state when you could play the game perkless and still have fun (e.g. not have to worry about constant tunnel).
On the other hand my suggestion could lead to the emergence of multiple META and maybe you wouldn't even miss the current META perks. But yes, each change has to be double checked because many things could go wrong if this process would be automated.
-
Another issue with running a strong build is that your strong build will be a bigger contributor to your success instead of your base killer skill. This will make the game harder in cases when your build is not there to help you (destroyed totems, bad map, chases against good skilled survivors, etc).

Avg of 1 kill(because i play kinda nice, not hook spreading the whole team but also not tunneling 1/2 people and ignore the other 2). 2 if im lucky, and maybe win one game in like 10 matches if it's not a swf(most of my games are against 3-4 mans, i ask in every endgame lobby). many games all of them escape too but it's because I don't really care to secure 1K if the game wasn't good for me.
Against good survivors you have to tunnel, otherwise there is little pressure. They can just sit on gens, one guy is enough for the unhook, nobody has to go for protection hits, can calmly heal up, etc.
-
How about don't run the best build then and let your MMR get lower?
Not sure what's the point of these best build recommendations now that we have MMR. Best build will result in that you will also get better survivors, so there is no real benefit. Maybe it is even bad to run best builds if you don't enjoy going against high MMR survivors.
-
We are already at 5.3...
-
If only a single survivor can't remove the trap, there is a workaround:
They 99 the gens, and then finish them all almost at the same time. They open the exit gates and the 3 survivors without the trap leave. The hatch appears, the last survivor with the trap leaves through the hatch.

Prove me a 56m bubble that makes me invisible isn't broken and I will calm down. Cause as i mentioned in other topic u can put boon in main building and loop forever.
Maybe it is OP. But instead of just posting random comments, go and prove it by playing games.

Documenting some special interesting behaviours would be useful.

Wasn't most explained in the two dev updates?
Maybe just the details of how boon totems work in relation to dull and hex totems was missing.
-
You can still use keys for the various aura reading add-ons they have.
-
I was not very good with slinger, now I will be even worse. Survivors can wiggle like crazy (very unrealistic movement) while running and it makes it very hard to shoot them.
-
Look at it from the good side: At least you will have a viewer for the duration of the match.
-
You complain that killers camp slug tunnel. But then you say that you also must camp slug tunnel. So I guess you can answer yourself why this is happening.

Do you have cross play enabled? I remember that long time ago when I disabled it I was quite often matched up with the same people.

@Gwinty said:
No you do not need to do that. It is more important to get chases back to back to build pressure. Tunneling is just a bad way to build pressure because you have to go out of your way to do it.
The most efficient Killers are those who can enter a new chase seconds after hooking a survivor. Examples are Freddy, Oni or Wraith. And yes I know, Freddy is as entertaining as watching pain dry but his teleport makes him very time efficient which gives him a huge leader over Killers like Ghostface and Myers.
However I understand that Killers will not shy away from tunneling somebody if they get unhooked just like that and 5 meters away from them. The rescuer has an obligation to get the Killers attention and not hide in the corner...yes I am looking at you, Claudette...
It is a must on killers who don't have a good map pressure or not good against 4v1. Simple reason:
If you don't tunnel survivors are absolutely not pressured, because they feel safe, because they still have a hook state remaining. So they just push gens. They don't even heal, they don't go for protection hits to save the dead-on-hook guy (because there is noone dead on hook), one survivor to unhook is enough who immediately heals the unhooked person (they don't need to coordinate a heal later, and the other two can sit on gens).

(Screenshot from a Stream)
@Topic:
I dont really think they can do anything against it. After all, even DBD provides an option to make the game easier for you by setting it to low Graphics - and the game suddenly becomes brighter. This should also not be possible that players who dont need Low Graphics can use this option to gain an advantage.
And when it comes to Stretched Resolution or Nvidia-Filters, I dont think the Devs can do something against it.
Devs can write code which detects the window dimensions. Then the code will just force a standard 16:9 ratio on it by painting the top and bottom parts of the window black. Problem solved.

People still Dc in SoloQ, but it feels that entire team is much better than before. I rly wish it was bannable. Like u constantly Dc, get huge penalties and based on reports get banned.
As from killer side I'm not sure cause im playing Legion, and before that i mostly met SoloQ and it was fun to play against. Now it's a sweat fest full of swf 4 or 2+2 teams. So i have to tunnel weakling every game to get a chance kill em all.
It is fine if you don't kill em all.

The Game rework has been out for 6 months now, everyone, EVERYONE (survivors and killers) admit that there are way too many pallets/windows/strong loops on this map but BHVR does nothing, as always.
Also, concerning Pinhead, the slow down when he catches someone with its power is way too small, chains are breaking really fast, even more on indoor maps where there are walls everywhere.
I have played Pinhead last days and it is really really rare that a good use of my power delivers a hit; why ?
- When you use your power you are stopped, you don't move anymore.
- While aiming with your power, the survivor continue to move on and is stopped a few meters away from when you started to use your powers.
- Time you need to catch up those few meters away negate the chains effect, rendering the power totally useless.
What does it mean ? It is useless 100% of the time to use your power in chase.
Chains should not be broken with walls or other survivors passing through. Time to break the chains must be slightly increased.
Concerning the map "The Game", if you end up on this map with a loop weak killer (Demo, Oni, Blight, Doctor, Billy), it's useless to play it, it will be a pain in the ass.
You can still move while creating the portal. You need to create it right on top of the survivor. Then your chain hits almost instantly and it helps a bit to catch up. Also useful on shorter loops. Unfortunately the loops on "the game" map are quite long and walls break chains easily therefore the power is usually useless there.
-
With a separate hidden SBMM for each killer, tiers lost their meaning.
-
Go play as killer...
-
I think it was like this since I started playing...
Should be fixed

Finish 10 gens in a single trial? While cooperating with other survivors?
And you expect this to be possible, with 7 gens on the map, 5 max of which can be repaired in one game, how exactly?
Just joking.
However.. In theory it is possible to do that much repairing if you let the gens regress back.
-
You need to finish this in a single trial
-
MMR = number of comments on these forums

You apply for the "game tester" position at BHVR.

ok that is something I can do and if I play sweat-lord style I guess I can break the streak, I will try later and record it.
My point is different, I have been playing with head on, with mostly chill matches over the course of the last 7-8 months.
Sometimes it was a strong killer and I lost, sometimes it was a draw, sometimes I escaped and this seems to me the way a casual game should work.
Getting strong killers, with strong builds and lots of tunnelling for 21 matches in a row seems a bit too much.
I just can't understand why I am forced to play these kinds of matches one after the other for no reason.
I am not a full time streamer, I play 7-8 matches of dbd per day and I am a very chill player who doesn't mind losing and taking one for the team.
Still when you get swept for 21 matches (3 days in a row) I start to feel it is a bit too much, and that's the reason of this post. I don't find interesting to be kicked in the butt continously.
Anyway I will record some videos later and let's see
Yeah, I understand, must be really frustrating.
One theory, but maybe complete BS: Maybe each MMR level is dominated by similar playstyle killers. Maybe at your MMR it is tunneling killers. So you need to get out of it somehow, and then maybe you will face different killers (hopefully not the face camping killers :D ).
-
Someone was complaining that they had 10 noeds in a row. You are complaining that you get always tunneled. Try to change your build then if you notice that you are facing the same type of killer all the time. Put on DS and perks that help you be stealthy and get lost after an unhook.
-
I guess all the swf trollsquads would go for the public one, so as a killer I would stay in the ranked one.
-
I think pinhead is a pretty fun killer to play. There are still some annoying bugs though, like the messed up lunge attack.
They will release a survivor soon, does it matter if you buy it in two cheaper or one more expensive DLC?

As a survivor I understand why killers do it (1 in chase and 3 on gen means the killer usually loses even more with low mobility killers).
As a killer (when I get matches...some days I dont feel like waiting 15+ minutes) I will injure all of you as much as possible and tunnel the weak link as quickly as possible to make it a longer and fairer match.
What are your opinions? Do you see it more in both roles?
Survivors need to learn how to safely unhook and go for protection hits, body blocking, etc. to save teammates dead on hook. Also the survivor who is dead on hook needs to learn how to get lost ASAP.
-
@Maperson said:
And later survivors will cry that all killers run the same build. He has to chase you if he wants to get it, meanwhile other survivors are doing gens, ffs use your brain
Won't all pinheads run this same build if it is very META?

I feel like that's the point. You miss, you get punished.
I don't think so that it is intended. You can cancel the power with CTRL before firing. What I am asking is to be able to cancel it also after you have clicked to fire it.

It is an obvious bug, go and report it in the bugs section.
-
After the most recent patch I also started to notice occasional very short stutters on my high-end gaming PC.
-
Yeah, I also noticed that something is not correct with the Cenobite lunge. Created a post about it, but it did not get much attention. Hopefully this bug report will be more successful.

Getting moried 30 seconds into the match is only possible if the victim is afk and someone is standing at the ready to farm them two times. 30 seconds is the chase time of an afk survivor lol
Ok sure, there is no point explaining you if you just don't want to understand.

You mean a survivor who gets farmed, doesn't have DS or BT, and gets picked up immediately with no flashlight save or anything? Yeah, that can happen without moris as well. The killer just hooks them a third time instead of seeing the pretty animation.
The killer has to hook them three times... That's a bit different than Moriing them 30 seconds after the start of the match.

Because a Mori ends the game for an unlucky survivor after maybe just 30 seconds?

Survivors never solve the box all the matchs i played only once did he teleport to the box ever other match nope seriously it annoys me it's a simple box solve done they never teleport which is useful to get survivors but nope i'm scared of the box. Listen which would you rather want get stunned for a bit and the killer still being a bit of distance away from you or constantly being hooked.
They are solving them for me. Maybe tour MMR is still low and you are getting low MMR survivors?
