Meaningful interaction. Invest time for a payout.
Does the current BP system have scalability problems? You bet your ass it does. But automagically unlocking the Perks with only a cash infusion isn't the best way to develop memories with the game.
I don't remember that moment when I finally unlocked perk XY, and if I would remember, probably it wouldn't be a good memory, would remind me all the grind frustrations.
But I guess they could create for you a hard mode, where the perks aren't unlocked automatically. If you select this hard mode option, you could get a shiny icon next to your name or a new bloody cosmetic so that you are happy.

Go beat Skyrim twice, once with 1-hit Kill godmode and once normally and let me know which one you found most memorable/spent the most time with.
Not sure what are you talking about.
I just want to play this game with killer / survivor I bought, with a build that I want, without the need to spend thousands of hours to get the perks needed for that build. Not sure what you want to beat here... You can beat the opponent in the match or finish the rift... but grinding for unlocking perks on killers/survivors I paid for? Thanks no. The current system discourages buying DLCs.
My suggestion addresses this issue and also addresses or points out other possible issues.
-
Just want to remind the devs of this Bloodpoints economy / grind update suggestion.
I see that they are increasing the grade rewards, but IMO it is not the right approach and potentially will lead to problems.
-
Unless some changes we don't know about are also implemented this will maybe mess up the Bloodpoints economy. Players will be able to afford to run the best addons which are usually the most expensive. So there is actually no need to have weaker versions of addons.
-
Huh?
-
I think it is not really a VPN issue. Cheaters can increase their ping without it.
-
I think Hillbilly is better. Has great map control and an instakill ability.

They are bored to death.

It is not nerfed, because it doesn't need a nerf. I am a 75:25 killer:survivor player.

I must’ve been playing really bad lately because when I’m playing survivor it feels like my teammates are relatively new. Lots of hiding behind a rock while you do a gen nearby or they constantly hesitate to unhook another teammate or myself. Lots of running the killer straight to the gen being worked on.
I’ve had my ups and downs with solo but something happened and it’s either that I started sucking more than usual or MMR has decided I am to be put in the 9th layer of match making Hell.
You are too good, that's why you get noob teammates. You are raising up the team average. The killer is somewhere in between.
-
I would really like it.
It could work with these conditions:
- You are required to use at least a single teachable of the selected survivor.
- All survivors in a lobby need to be different.
- Devs don't create survivors with totally trash teachables.
-
I always track the hook states on a piece of paper when playing killer.
-
Would be great to have this. Would help in bridging the gap between SWF and soloQ.

Or you should face weaker killers who can't even tunnel you. Maybe down at Silver II?
Maybe. But I think the problem with tunnel is that even lower skilled players can do it, there is often not much skill required from the killer to do it. But a lot of skill and cooperation required from survivors to be able to counter that.
-
Simple solution: ignore it.
-
Quite often yes. You can win a lot of matches with tunneling... But after some time your MMR will be boosted way above your real skill and will face survivors who will workaround your tunneling and loop you for 5 gens... Then you can come back and cry about how strong the survivors are.

Survivors need DS base-kit? Then killers should get NOED base kit. Hate to break it to you, but the other guy basically farmed you. In that situation the killer is going to take advantage of it. DS is just one get out of jail free card, just like dead hard. It's not even an anti tunnel perk it's just an annoying thing to waste time in the game.
If you don't tunnel the unhooked guy, it will not waste your time.
Or if you down the unhooked survivor just don't pick it up. They will waste a lot of time on the ground... A DS would insta heal them and stun you.

SBMM prevents that you know. Do about 20-30 killer games then get the SBMM in and you'll just get survivors who know how to run you for 2-3 gens. If you break chase for another they'll run you for more gens. And guess what? They'll hold the game hostage. Until you just force them out.
I play killer a lot, no need to explain me what it is like.
Maybe the tunneling playstyle boosted your skill and now you are facing survivors who are way above your skill level if you try to play in a non-tunneling way.

It should just be a classic blacklist of words. If you see a blanked message, you should know they said something that's straight up reportable. Then make filter dodging a bannable offense (of course this can't be 100% automated, don't want spanish speaking people to get banned for talking about their black jacket cosmetics or something...)
Having a system that tries to be more clever than that just leads to exactly that. If I see the exact message you used as an example, I have no idea if that's the system being wacky or if they actually typed 2 slurs that could get them banned if reported.
Yeah, they should do it as you suggested.

There are 26 killers... You will see even the most popular quite rarely.

First impression, felt pretty strong.
Impression after going against some groups of actually good survivors, felt lacking.
Side note: She gets completely wrecked on maps with lots of elevation, such as Haddonfield. It hinders the use of her crows tremendously.
Annoying note: Extremely frustrating with how much of a delay there is between placing the crows and releasing them. I'm finding I'm spam mashing control and waiting for it to actually trigger. The delay on place and release is very annoying.
You need to learn how to use it correctly.
-
To all the killers who say tunneling is a strategy and often a must: maybe then you should face weaker survivors who you are able to defeat without tunneling. Didn't you think about that?
-
I would not by "gaming headphones".
-
Simple solution: If you click 4 times in less than 4 seconds, you will be limited to a single click per second. This remains until you stop clicking entirely for 4 seconds.
-
As a killer I was always bringing a cake offering.
-
The same as the "close door" button in most elevators.
-
Had a match against a hoarder+franklin pinhead with +6 seconds solve time addons. It was not fun, we were in constant chain hunt and were never able to solve the cube. Pinhead always found us and took the cube.

So when the unhooked blocks you from hitting the unhooker, trying to use his BT or DS, you just run the other direction and hide in the corner until the survivors call you back to the game?
Have you ever even played killer?
It depends on the situation, some options:
- I hit the unhooked immediately and then continue chasing the unhooker.
- I hit the unhooked and continue chasing the unhooked, then I slug.
- I wait 12 seconds and then hit the unhooked and slug them.
So the outcome is that they need to waste time mending or they are laying on the ground not being able to do anything and waste time for another teammate to pick them up.
I play around 70% killer.

You should play both killer and survivor to get rid of your "us vs them" mentality.
-
You won't notice BT and DS if you play nice.
Playing against the iri addon Clown is just simply not fun.
Playing on a game map as killer is also not the most fun.
As summary you are both horrible.

So are you saying me that a not well known streamer (only 1k followers) is getting constantly purposefully targeted by Bubbas wearing the Claudette cosmetic? Kind of hard to believe (send me links to streams where it happened, I didn't see links on this thread, but didn't check all the pages). Sounds more like an attempt to get visibility (based on the length of this thread it was successful). The first video that I saw on the streamer's profile was flashlight clicking at Bubba... No wonder if you get face camped after your annoying clicking.

Ok, guys we can calm down now. Delete this thread! jinx3d has no problem with insidious, so everything is fine.

I used to play CS and the voice chat worked most of the time. Occasionally there were some crazy guys who had to be muted.

24 meters 🤣🤣🤣.
I truly can't tell if you're trolling. Or just want your hand held to the exit gate literally every single match.
I want to have fun matches. It is not fun if you get an insidious camping bubba in soloq. If you just suicide on hook you screw your teammates and positive feedback the bubba. If you just hang there it is boring and risk that an unaware Claudette will fall into the trap.

BT and DS (especially) literally grow in power as the game goes on, often creating guaranteed escapes, if the killer does not tunnel all game and people aren't on death hook when all the gens are done.
Yes, if you have active DS and get unhooked near an opened exit gate then you have a guaranteed escape.
But the point of my comment was that often not all totems will be destroyed and NoED will be active. And often all totems will be destroyed and NoED will not activate, but it means that it was a nice time waster for survivors and it already did it's effect.
-
Yes, as a solo, not top tier survivor it is hard to deal with it. (Can't trust your teammates).
And is very bad feeling when you played well the whole game and then get hit by it unexpectedly.
And I commented a lot on it recently.
Some change is necessary.

How many players would take noed if a totem gave a counter? Three guesses
Let me answer you with a question:
- How many survivors would bring DS, it is only useful if the killer tunnels.
- How many killers still tunnel even if the survivor maybe has DS active?
- How many survivors would still bring BT, it is only useful if the killer tunnels.
- How many killer would hit an unhooked survivor, not knowing if the unhooker has BT?
What I mean is that even with a totemcounter in many cases the totems will not be cleansed and NoED will become active. And in many cases survivors will cleanse totems even if killer does not have NoED.

If you think it's "just MMR" you are clearly blind to how unfun the game is right now as a killer.
My killer ques are literally instant, that says a lot.
But you know that those two survivors didn't do a gen. And maybe they won't even be able to get use out of that boon, because you hook them and don't let run away injured. Or snuff the totem when you go around.

"So totem counter widget is fine" ?
No, it would mitigate too much, and that's exactly what all the survivors complaining about this perk want.
And why is it a problem if we give them what they want? It would maybe even help to slow down the game, because survivors would be motivated to search the totems, because they would know that their efforts are not worthless because the last totem was not found and destroyed.

- that Noed is stronger against solo players is normal. That it is "too strong" is not true.
- Whether someone tells you the locations by voice or you track them down using perks or map offers comes down to the same thing.
- is the advantage of swf, but you can also do it alone, with a lot of tools
- if no totem was made and noed is active, you still have enough time to go searching. But if you get caught, it's your own fault.
Everything has advantages and disadvantages. Just because you have voice chat in a SWF doesn't mean it's easier to play against Noed.
How can you say this:
- Whether someone tells you the locations by voice or you track them down using perks or map offers comes down to the same thing.
It is absolutely not the same. SWF gets it for free, as a solo I must sacrifice a perk slot or forced to bring a map instead of medkit or toolbox.

Because, unfortunately, that's where we are now.
If BHVR wanted to, they could easily add a gap in the walls of certain houses in Haddonfield and Badham to break the infinite. They haven't and it's been literal years of it being pointed out.
If BHVR wanted to, they could prevent groups of survivors from stalling the game out for hours by playing hide and seek on 1 gen remaining. They haven't.
There are lots of easy fixes to tons of pretty legitimate complaints from killers that have never been implemented.
As that's the case, then what's good for the goose has to be good for the gander. And killers are getting the greasy end of the stick basically every patch.
We fight to preserve whatever advantages we can because it feels like we have to.
Yeah... Both sides are fighting for their unfair advantage... And then the result is that the game is full of unfair unfun stuff. Instead of everyone focusing on making the game fun.
Maybe we should not be so selfish and let these changes happen, even if it would temporarily leave the other side with more unfair advantage.

It's hilarious that you keep mentioning fun..Let me ask you something. When you abuse a broken loop. Do you feel bad ? Or care if it's fun for the killer ?
I don't, because I am not that good survivor and don't even know which are those broken loops. But I am fine with removing these broken loops.
And before you start to think that I am some killer hater survivor main... I play both, around 70% killer, 30% survivor.

No there's enough, you can easily avoid most the hard situations for survivor with just a handful of perks, but the most useful one to counter insidious isn't one of them. Maybe instead of devoting a perk slot to counter a worthless perk, maybe just deal with facing insidious, it's not great anyways.
Tell me, if you're hooked in a basement against a Bubba, what's going to change if he waits down there with insidious and if he doesn't, anyone who comes down is going to die regardless.
Unsuspecting soloq survivors will not attempt the save if they know that a bubba is waiting for them in the basement.

Shrug.
There are styles that are unfun for survivors.
There are styles that are unfun for killers (abusing Haddonfield, Badham, RPD or Pantry infinites, hide and seek genrushers etc.)
BHVR can't just keep nerfing every killer build/tactic that is somewhat effective. What needs to be asked is - why are killers resorting to these tactics?
Camping Bubba is mostly a thing because he has bugs and can be looped forever.
Those other unfun things you mentioned should be fixed as well. Your justification of having an unfun thing because there is this other unfun thing for the other side is not valid IMO. Why can't we focus on making all elements of the game fun for both sides?

I'm not the one asking for an Insidious nerf, I think you're the one missing my point?
I'd actually like Insidious to be better, if I could mindgame with it more often on a chase killer like Legion that be dope
As I said in another comment I am fine with a complete rework as well. I was suggesting this nerf because probably it is easier to implement compared to a complete rework.
