Because how dare I use Pop. They thought I had BBQ, but he just kept going to the same exact spots. Never joined my party, either. Checked their profile, not a single prestige.

I agree, killers can have high tier perks to slug and survs only can counter it once with unbreakble. Sometimes no need unbreakable but how to counter knock out or infectious fright?
Every single killer perk can be countered by teamwork
-
Survivors always DC. Did u down them ? Did u catch them on first gen ? Did u try to murder them ? Any of those usually do it
-
The game itself definitely favors the survivor side vs the killer side.
But charaters and perks change up alot of it...
-
Ps4
And I completely agree... however I only play SWF with a full group and we all talk about roles and loadouts as a team before we go into the fog
Killer isnt the power role if people use teamwork. Survivor team can bring 12 perks and 4tools 4 ultra rare addons. Orginally we used to call brand new part runs "The Cuckening" because pre nerf we could leave in 2 minutes or less. With 3rd person and stealth and doing gens from closes together first leaving the far ones we can go a whole match never hit. Like all 4 of us never hit,
-
Dead by daylight 2
Completely restructured would be awesome to see.
These online only games really need to admit the shelf life
-
This game isnt horror anyone with all these survivor second chances. Its scooby doo with D/C on first down

Pressure is just a defensive buzzword adopted by the devs and survivor community to hand wave the short comings of the game.

Honestly I’m guilty of that sometimes. I become SO close to getting a merciless victory and then a survivor disconnects which infuriates me and I might disconnect too.
The only reason I got it on my trapper because played dumb and they tried to tease and farm me
All while I led them to the basement... where I spent the first 5 gens laying every trap in the map down
And got them all when I flipped on them last second
-
I cant count the number of 4k games I've had but not gotten them as the killers. It's horrible and so many people just dc If they get rolled
-
Idk like to leave though the exit gate as killer before the survivors tbag me
So I support this
-
On ps4
I see a survivor dc every other match
No proof killer didnt gave connection issues, while a survivor dc after a down or first hook is insanely common and clear to see.
Killers are hurt wayy more by survivor dc and more often . Survivors is just a 4 person automatic victory plus quitter and escape bonus and you keep tools. While the killer always looses add ons WHEN A SURVIVOR DC.
Honestly I want perma bans for survivor children who cant wait 20 seconds to die on a hook
-
I really wish people would either stop asking for a bbq removal or start talking about how they love camping...

Uh huh, but like 99% of your No Mither buddies go down in the first 30 seconds then DC.
I only play survior with a full squad :/
If you D/C in my gaming clan you get 1 warning then kicked out.

You still drop blood orbs with no mither, just don’t drop extra when hit.
Really?

Killer: insidious. I saw how OhTofu tried to use it NOT for camping. Guess what, it has no other use.
Survivor: No Mither. I mean, is it even a perk?
Dont take my no mither away !
It's a full counter to two ENTIRE killers and my best anti slug build.
Why you wanna take my no mither ?
Plague? Haha no heals no problem.
Oni ? No blood from me vampire, no power for youu.
EDIT
Stalked by mike and gf ? Doesnt matter. Chainsaw killers saw me anyway Noed, rancor, haunted ? Tons of times when all the killer power ups in the world didn't effect me in the slightest. And being injured I repair and save so much faster then anyone else.
-
Killer- Mindbreaker
Because it's less then useless. Noone uses this and when it is used effects for a second? What a joke. Hope its reworked soon to give a huge exhaustion effect for people working on gens.
Survivor- Decisive strike has to go.
Only because it encourages toxic survivor behavior. Unsafe hooks, body blocking and gives the survivors 60 seconds of invincibility.
It usually happens after I've already hooked the rescuer and then return to find the orginal rescuee, chase and down them. Pick them up. I'm stunned they save the second person now I hit that orginal victim for the 4th time and down him for the 3rd time BUT WAIT he's got BT so he keeps running and I gotta chase him till the bleed timer
My second choice is dead hard because it doesnt make sense... it's just magic for the sake of magic. And if it was to be even close to theme it would only null killer magic not basic attacks. Other then theme it's fine.
Rancor because theres no counter I've herd of. While everything else has a survivor way to balance this one doesnt.

You're wrong. "I can 4k ranks 12 with one hand playing clown" right there.
And you're wrong becaus esurvivors behave like I said. ALL survivors. I know it. You are jsut wrong.
And you're wrong again because I did not say Legion is easy. I said pipping with Legion is easy.
And when you try to make me "qq" then make a facecam video as well, showing that you play one handed.
BTW you are wrong
I play colorblind and soundless
But... it's not really by choice so I'm not bragging.
-
Long story short
We didnt. UNLESS survivors made tons of mistakes. Skillchecks were much harder and that was orginally the only way to find survivors was to go to the center and wait for an explosion...
Correct me if I'm wrong but gens didnt used to be highlighted
And they were harder for survivors to find I remember having a real tough issue after doing one or two as survivor and having to really search for

That struggle phase is so awful, I still don't quite get why it's still in the game. But for the reasons I stated in my otherpost, I think QTE's wouldn't be that good of an idea for the game. Unless they are pretty easy to pull off, and are just a way to make generators a bit more interesting. Then sure. But making the objective of survivors a challenge is not a good idea in my opinion, since otherwise new survivors will just lose every single match.
I'd make them exceedingly easy on the hook.
But I'd make them more difficult on gens
Difficulty is relative and vague... but it needs to be more involved then just holding and tapping when you hear the sound because I don't even need to look to hit greats

That's not necessarily true. While genrushing isn't a thing, I agree with that, it doesn't mean the killer is performing bad. Map balance and generators are a real issue.

Adrenaline is prolly the more powerful perk
But noed is adrenalines counter so I'd rather keep both as they are

@ad19970 said:
Your post is pretty good. I agree with your take on a second objective, the Hallowed Blight Event was a prime example as to how a second objective could butcher the entire game. Though I do think a second objective would still be possible, it should just probably not take as much extra time to complete as these flowers during the event did.
However, if there was a second objective to be added, the devs would have to work on so many other aspects as well. Some very weak killers might still end up needing some small buffs, but more importantly, the killers that are already strong, would become broken with a second objective, so they would need to be nerfed in some way, which could have the downside that they'd become less unique or less fun to play as. Tunneling and camping would also need to be nerfed in some way. And the devs would have to make sure that the second objective would not be any harder to complete for solo survivors than for swf survivors. Even maps would have to be looked at, as maps like Hawkins will probably end up being to good for killers, whereas maps like Bloodlodge or Haddonfield might still be too good for survivors.
The idea of making skill checks harder and adding quick time events is something that could be very interesting, the only problem I see is that it will hurt new players too much. New survivor players already struggle a lot in chases and such. Of course, new killer players do as well, but that's what balances the game out at low ranks as well. Which is why the actual skill of survivor and killer should always lie within the interaction of these two opposing sides. If the objective of survivors would also become harder to complete, this will probably end up in teams with new survivor players not making any progress at all, and simply dying to the killer one after the other, not depending much on the killers skill level at all anymore.
That's why I personally still think the best way to balance the game better for killers is to individually buff weaker killers and improve maps a bit so they become a bit fairer. Also, if killers are more powerful and maps are smaller, the interaction between the killer and each survivor will be more frequent. And that's exactly where the skill of the players should come into play.
I personally still don't think the game is in such a bad state as some people seem to believe. The game does have a fair amount of killers that are still viable, even without Ruin. But it is a problem that so many killers are not viable at the highest level of play, and that certain maps just feel a bit too unbalanced.
I'm up for qte
Gotta fix that painful struggle phase first my fingers hurt

Survivors have had their share of nerfs as well. Insta-heals, DS on demand, and pallets galore being three that immediately come to mind. Is this enough? No, it isn't, but that's my opinion.
Killers just happen to be getting spit on more often these days. Playing an effective killer these days is not impossible. It can be hard in some games, yes, but there are also games where you just completely run people over.
Ideas and creativity? Depends what you are looking specifically at. In terms of design, they have a vast amount of creativity. I am looking forward to their map/music/in-house killer designs in the future... definitely some promise there. Now the balance team...
"Survivors have had nerfs" is a really common reply
But everyone always mentions pallets...
Pallets and vault changes are not survivor nerfs they are map changes.
Pallets used to teleport players anyone remember that ?
Something dev's have openly said In a game based on survivors mistakes the older it gets the more they need to rebalance to account for how much they learned. I've not seen anyone in red ranks fail a skillcheck in a long long time
-
I play R6
Competitive team based games are my crew's things.
Things like cod aren't really team based where as dead by daylight and r6 you build for specific roles that help your team.
Dead by daylight class
Chase, healer, gens, savior. We run 3 perks for the class and one for the secondary role that complements the tool so if the gen guy gets caught someone else hasa toolbox. We also usually all bring different tools instead of stacking.
But as survivor its not a win unless we all get out and a tie if one dies.
-
As for the comments about hatchets
Lol you should get tape and make yourself a sight on ur tv
That's the only way I played for months when she first dropped.
Map it out on kill ur freinds and make the tape the closest you can. Make smaller dots of tape going up at distances you like.
tape and black marker screen cleaner and microfiber. Dont do it on a 4k ultra curve

What else do i want? I've writing it in the post. You can't just hit a survivior true the wall or rock or when you stunn a killer before they hit you that you still take the hit. When a huntress is chasing you and u hide behind a roch and she throws it true the rock yeah thats unfair. That's what needs to be fixed.
If you actually stunned the killer they couldnt have hit you during. You might have been hit seconds before you stunned the killer and it looked like it.
She doesnt throw it it though Walls. It's just ur perception. A hatch is not a perfect ball it changes shape many times during its throw as it spins.
Think about it spinning right at you. Sometimes it looks to be as long as the shaft and sometimes it's only as long as the ax head
Huntress being taller then you might be throwing it down at you meaning it appears your behind cover but really she's above

No One Escapes Death is not performing as intended. This perk is meant to punish survivors for rushing gens if they don't also cleanse all available dull totems. However, if there are still 5 gens remaining and the killer closes the hatch, NOED still activates?? !!
Rework the perk's trigger condition so that it behaves like Bitter Murmur and only activates when the last gen is completed instead of when the exit gates are powered.
Cant happen. Hatches dont spawn at 5 gens.
If the hatch is open you should jump though and win. Gg 2ez
@Nos37 said:
Okay, about half of the users posting here mention killers needing NOED to deal with gen-rushing.
To be clear, NOED currently punishes the last remaining survivor as if the killer was gen-rushed, even if 0 gens were finished.
Let NOED punish gen-rushing; that needs no change.
Just don't punish the survivor who:
- Has 1 teammate DC before the camera pan at the start has finished,
- Has two other teammates suicide on hook because the killer didn't go easy on them,
- Only got to cleanse one totem (and has Small Game equipped to counter NOED) before the hatch has spawned,
- Cannot cleanse NOED because of it's proximity to one of the gates,
- Gets hit once while healthy in the end zone (after having fully opened a gate with the Wake Up perk).
That survivor wouldn't have even been hit at all if the killer didn't get his NOED speed boost.
As stated by others, Endgame already favors the killer. The only time that 2 hits instead of 1 would be game-changing is when the gate is already open and the survivor is close to leaving. If they've gotten that close, it should not be taken from them simpy because the trigger conditions for late/end game perks were not properly looked over and balanced for the new Endgame Countdown.
This whole post is how 3 people failed to help you... that's not the killers fault dont punish him.
Endgame favors survivors. It gives you a free hatch no matter what you do and if you fail at that second chance at life you get two gates to take ur 3rd and 4th chance at life. If 1 hit is two much after all these L O L

Yup

As the killer
I've let people go who help me

I mean, maybe new perks to help the killer evade rush, or perks that keeps survivors off gens(difficult).
maybe add another objective to the games aside from gens or doing a complete rework.
But devs are never going to do that:(
as to why the survivors gen-rush, i Dont know, it makes the game very boring
They want to escape in 3 minutes? Be toxic?prove something? I certainly dont know
They want to live
They have nothing else to do
That's why

Because i enjoy horror movies and like being scared and it's the orginal reason I bought this game.
Ask killer I try to get into the mindset and when I get hate mail I reply in character
I really wish more people got into the spirt of the game

I'd rather see SWF be somewhat mandatory
And the game came balanced accordingly
MAKE FREINDS for ONLINE MULTIPLAYER GAMES

If every game people picked the same killer maybe but any full weekend I play I'd be lucky to see someone 3 times
New dlc weekends excluded.
-
Doc is anti stealth
Plague is anti heal
Mike/ghostface/pig/wraith are stealth killers
Hag/trap/freddy are trap killers
You got killers with 1HK
Huntress has ranged attacks
Demi/nurse/hag/freddy/spirit are teleports killers
I mean if you think about it most killers powers fall into multiple categories that are great on there own...
While doc literally just helps you find people nothing else... kinda weak compared to others that can hurt you from a distance or leap to close gaps or 1hk or teleport
-
Genrush for me is as tunneling/camping is to them
Let me ask you this
WHY do survivors gen rush ?
And what would you do/change or add to encourage them to do something else ? EDIT whatever you change has to be something survivors would willing choose
-
So the killers have 12 objectives (hooking survivors) And the survivors only have 6 spread among 4 players 1.5 each (gens and gate)
The survivors team has 4 tools 32addons 12 perks and 4 offerings
The survivors can open boxes and pull out items and leave with them allowing them to stockpile ultra rares
while killers must grind for each resource and it's always consumed
So with every resource harder to obtain and consumed killer overall upgrades are more rare making them weaker.
If I must get into perks, every killer perk has a survivor counter... while the killer has 4 slots the survivors can spend 4 of the 12 they have together to counter the killer and then still have 9 perks collectively to improve themselves.
So the side with less players, powerups, perks is somehow in your opinion overpowered
against the side with
Teamwork, more powerups, more perks, better point of view, with half the overall objectives
2 health states, 3 hooks, and adrenaline boost every time your touched to gain distance. As well as free hatch spawns on last alive
Just how many second chances do you need ?
Do you want to know where a killer is at all times ? Oh wait you have a heartbeat 4 that
Do you want to find a survivor ? Better hope they make a noise making mistake...
Wanna know if I killer might hit you ? Bam Red stain.
Speed an issue ? Cant beat that POINT ZERO SIX GAP .06mps that's it you got vaults, you got stairs, you got pallets, you got trees and piles of garbage to break line of sight preventing bloodlust all while using ur 3rd person point of plan a better path for escape while the killer struggles to keep you in sight with his limited view
What else you want ?
