But they didnt say what you said and all of that can be taken in a completely different light given the context
and they have done nothing but try to improve survivors experience at the expense of killers..
Actions. Along with language... being looked at and "doesn't mean never change" it doesn mean a gosh darn thing, its empty platitudes.
Go back and listen more about how they wont be changing many old maps and how difficult that would be to remake them all. Its not going to happen ANYTIME soon if at all.
Looking at toolboxes is anything from charges to availability in the bloodweb or how skillchecks are presented. Could mean anything until that changes I'm not giving up they wont buff toolboxes
-
So hard question to answer
How much does the terror radius matter?
Does it actually scare survivors or alert them to move ?
On killers that hide the terror radius like wraith mike or pig would this matter ?
On loud chainsaw killers or hag or trapper would any of this fit the killer power or change any behavior?
Can the new doctor shock the entire map since his blast is his terror radius? Or render the add ons/ perks that simulate terror pointless
How annoying would it be to listen to the entire map thump instead of all the new chase music ? Would the constant thump break emerson of all the spooky background noise ?
32m across all totem spawns that's X6 including yourself
So 192 meters is thumping at all times
Yikes.

I mean, they mentioned that 1. they`ll be keeping an eye on game speed 2. toolboxes are getting changed and 3. they said they`ve started an initiative to make maps smaller, you're just looking for reasons to be upset, like most people here. No surprises.
Fair enough.
But that all seems a long way off. They might make future maps smaller...(once a dlc)
but reworking all large maps ? Maybe one a year.
Toolbox being looked at? Doesnt mean a thing until I see a patch note confirming a real nerf I'm not holding my breath. Also many months away since it's not something they started yet

Why would you put that in quotation marks as though anything even remotely close to that was said in the stream?
Its pretty much what they said... some of the tone is lost over text...
At the very least it's what I've understood from it

Haha ignore that toolboxes are getting a nerf
Do we know that tho ?
All they said is its being looked at... they could do anything including buff it. Even if they reduce the charges add ons still keep it going and you take it with you when you leave. Heck they could just make it more rare in the bloodweb and call that a nerf
Until we know
Idk

That's a weird outlook. It seems the perk would put you at a disadvantage no?
Stake out, diversion, and borrowed time, trigger in terror radius
so all my skillchecks are fantastic and I can constantly throw rocks to annoy the killer and do a true save no matter how far the killer is or if a hag teleports back it's still borrowed time.
And I can now always find totems without needing small game to quickly pop out lit hexes or kill noed.
Yeah I'd use this perk as survivor pretty often

@Aura_babyy said:
I dont think you realize what making a perk to have less synergy truly means
You're assuming a nerf. Which it is. But you don't know to what exactly, other than synergy. For all you know, Pop can be changed so it doesnt work with perks like surge and let's say it gets tokens that let's you reset a gen down by 50% of the current progress.
Also, you see it here, they're not increasing base gen repair times, they're focusing on the toolboxes, which is the actual thing used to Gen rush.
This is quite a yikes to post when you ignore the rest of their q&a
"Despite how common survivor perks are used we aren't going to change that"
"Gen speed is a real issue so we are going to nerf any synergy between anti gen perks to make sure gens continue to go faster then light "
"but pro gen survivors perks are fun and can be stacked along with everything else"
"And a secondary objective would change or solve a lot of the issues but... naahhh LOL. "

2 health states and 3 hooks= at least 3 chases, played with healing that's 6 hits. Getting you 3 burst of speed to get away. You get pallets, vaults and lvls to get distance and you get a red stain to 360 him to buy time
But yeah your right you need more second chance perks
jIz9KKs.png -
I'd take this as a survivor perk tbh

The sarcasm is strong in this one ;p
Sorry to disappoint I'm actually serious. I loose ALOT of killer matches and honestly would rather some way to speed up the collapse or kill the guys just waiting by the gates because it wastes tons of my personal time.
-
Give me a solid reason to leave the hook and I will
Give me a solid chance to kill someone else and I wont go after the injured limper
Dont get gens done fast and I'll take my time hooking each of you...
Before you nerf or ban think about this. Killers have 12 objectives to play your way solo. 12 hooks.
Survivors have 5 gens and a gate among 4 of them. 1.5 objectives each.
If one gen is done before a killer hooks like most games without old ruin
Survivors are 1/6 while killers are 0/12
... later
If survivors do 3 gens while killer has 2 hooks
Survivors are 3/6 to win while killer is 2/12 to loose.
Killers who camp or tunnel know that if they cant win a chase and hook someone in less then a minute it's more beneficial to use the same minute camping you because its effectively doing a hook.
And killing someone reducing hooks from 12 to 9 limits objectives AND reducing time survivors can contribute to objectives making 1.5 objectives to 4 survivors. 2 objectives each to 3 survivors
You cant nerf or ban players... if you wanna keep playing someone needs to be a killer
Either give them a reason to leave the hook and juggle or make killer Ai
-
If a survivors is inside the exit zone... while the gates are open it should expose them.
Also
I want to be able to close the exit gates and if done on a survivor still inside i want the auto sacrifice.
Anyone who complains honestly should have walked out.
And listen I get that other survivors need to leave and might get stuck by the second gate. But a reopen could be a 1 or 2 second tap if you need.
But I'm tired tired tired of flashlight clicks and butt dancing until that painfully slow endgame timer hits the last second.
Even when I'm wraith literally hiding the entire match and I open the gates for them and run away they still wait till the final second to leave. It's insane how many people stay for 0 reason. I understand if someone's on a hook and you want that last save attempted but that's rare for me as killer. And I honestly camp the last person during endgame collapse anyway because there nothing else I can do.
-
While greatly annoying the team based actions like this are part of the reason survivors are OP
And I'd rather keep the teamwork aspects like this a focus along with 3rd vs 1st person perspective to stop people from continuing to request killer nerfs they dont need.
If you feel like they are gonna get off, Drop them. Someone will come for them or they can sit for a bit either way never let yourself be stunned by struggle. Anti heal builds work best for autistic survivors like this, thana or sloppy to really punish how much getting in the way will cost them
-
As a doctor main... I feel I came out slightly negative.
I enjoy the new blast because I like using the power of my own will.... the static detection was nice however mid carry or mid chase wasnt helpful. With distressing or whispers I can always hit a group nice.
I dont enjoy the massive snap out of it nerf as it was my killers status effect and only reason to inflict shocks. Without it it's too much build up for madness 3 and not enough time spent in it.
Its gotta go back to what it was or make survivors use a calming bell or something like freddy's wake up clock or plagues fountain.
-
Only read the first few comments...
Aura reading the hatch on last survivor if no gens would be ok.
As killer
I dont think the hatch is deserved in any way it's just a free escape.
As survivor
I find it far more effective to hide at a gate until killer hits the hatch unless I have enough gens to see it before it gets down to me anyway
But what do I know playing both sides
Solo ques should be punished.
Make friends its not hard. This Is comp. You dont solo show up in rainbow 6 and expect to Ace on defence. Pleasantly speak to people who beat you and learn there tricks, encourage people who co-operate well to get better with you.

Idk I run bbq and bitter with the second half switching between anti gen and slugg depending on how the night goes or what killer I'm on.

Exactly. It always surprises survivors to find out my Pig has Third Seal, or that my Huntress has Spies from the Shadows and Hangman's Trick ;)
And Whispers is definitely good on new Doctor, with the blast covering up Whisper's area.. so if no one screams, they either have Calm Spirit, or are hiding in a locker.
I didnt even think of whispers on doc....

I've been running a BP build for a long time, now: Beast of Prey, Distressing, BBQ, and Whispers. Beast of Prey until recently was damn near useless, and Distressing is still a hindrance on most killers. I would run whatever perk gave me a multiplier for hooking survivors, whether or not its other effect was useful. I wouldn't be happy about it, but I'd do it, because BP.
I still wish they'd added a 50% boost to Brutality on Beast of Prey instead of giving it the Undetectable effect, but whatever. I feel bad dragging out some matches 20 minutes just to max out Brutality when I'm not killing survivors, but there's no perk to help me so it's what I gotta do.

... you are focusing on one very specific part of what I said. I said that's one reason. The more important reason is because it gets killers to not camp the hook.
Camping and tunneling are two of the biggest survivor complaints about this game. I find it extremely unfun when a killer camps the hook. I would much rather they not tunnel and camp; the game is more fun for survivors that way. Tunneling and camping is the easiest way to play killer, though, so if you don't want killers to do it, you need to give them a good reason not to. Auras and bonus BP are good reasons.
If the new change made some sort of collectable object at the other end of the map that buffed my main attack or exposed all survivors till the next hook or something that really really made me want to leave the hook instead of auras
I think other killers would use it depending on build.

ok well why not equip BP to unrelenting and remove it from bbq? instead it being on sacrice category its on hunter category. if people REALLY only use it for BP then get hits off of it. to the new killers clearly its a hook, whereas to the experienced killers they would leave on ground becuz u kno, prett sure they want they BP. So why cant shifting the BP aspect of BBQ to unrelenting not be acceptable or even freddys remember me? why cant that part be shifted?
You want to be camped on the hook dont you ?
-
Made a bunch of posts about it before.
Something people convinced me of is we need to keep the leave switch in, just in case of hostage games or glitches/hacks.
However we should heavily punish all dc and do alot of perma bans as well as giving killers a massive bp bonus for there time wasted on this.
Some nights I play 20 games and have a DC each and every match. Theres never been a match where a DC didnt effect everyone's enjoyment negatively.
For any real DC. For an online only competitive multiplayer game it's your job to maintain your connection. And first offence is a few minutes enough time to fix your stuff.
For any punishment system there will be appeal systems, just send shots or records to get ur strikes removed for glitches or such.

They put the BP bonus on BBQ because 1. they want players to buy Leatherface, and he's not a strong killer; many new players buy him for that perk alone, and 2. they want to encourage killers to use BBQ. They want to get killers away from the hook so that other survivors can go in and make the save. It's to incentivize killers to not camp. It's an anti-camping/anti-tunneling perk, but instead of survivors needing to equip it, the killer equips it. Shouldn't survivors be happy a perk like that exists? However, because so many survivors complained, there are also now like 7 easy counters to it, which means it's no longer as anti-camping as it used to be.
YES! YES! YES!

Ding ding ding! We have a winner!
Thank you ! I'll be donating my extra bloodpoint winnings to charity of your choice maybe red cross : )
-
You want it to be a hex ? Fine Then
as long as its active you get a bonus to bloodpoints for each hooked survivor.
The aura reading will be removed because players found it lacked skill and prevented players from hiding.
Instead survivors only get one hook to be sacrificed fully.
To ensure players dont camp of course ; )
-
Your being attacked because your asking for tools to be removed from the opposing team but not yourself.
If this was Cod you would ask to take away shotguns
If this was battlefield you would take away tanks
Bbq and chili is a bloodpoint bonus detection perk ment to encourage players not to camp.
If you take that way you half personally my bloodpoints. As well as every other killers points. A hex doesnt last past first hook you might as well remove it.
Your main discussion is complaint how other people play. Almost every post is how other people play or how other survivors hinder you.
Your main non whinging is being aura revield despite having 12 ways to counter and at least 6other perks that do the same if not better.
Your not asking for anything to work differently you want a nerf. That's why your an entitled survivor that most people called bait.

I never said to the other people posting just him.
If you are going to cuss or swear its not a discussion.
Peoples points in this forum are valid but the fact someone is cussing or swearing at someone just means they have alot of feelings towards something and childish so they result to cussing or trolling.
I just think that the perk needs to be a hex, I never said anything about it being nerfed to the ground or anything.
It does raise the skill gap knowing all the perks and doing what should be done to counter such said perk.
I think that survivors get hooked alot and most people don't have enough time to get to a locker or hide behind a gen.
It would encourage lower level ranks to play more if it was a hex instead of it not being one.
The blood points part of the perk is smart yes but also with it being a aura reading perk is a bit op, getting extra points and seeing survivors and it not really having a hard counter besides the lockers and hiding behind gens disrupts the flow of the game.
Most of the time I get caught is because other survivors freak out and don't know the game.
but all I see is a bunch of killers that have no skill
Not everyone in this game has TIME to be the best in the game.
There is no such thing as sneaking around in this game anymore
I myself watch these videos about looping and I loop the killer but even if I do so it doesn't stop the abilities of other survivor
You tell me to go into a locker or walk the other way or do this and that but the thing is I DO, DO THAT.
We could only do about 0 to 1 generators because the killer would find someone and hook them and I would either RUN TOWARDS THE HOOKED PERSON
I play with 1 friend and me and him usually 95% of the time are the last two survivors cause the other survivors keep getting caught and don't know the game
game I know how to counter the perk but OTHER survivors don't.
hooked which should happen about 12 times in a match meaning the killer has 12 chances to find someone using this perk,
Some maps don't have lockers close enough.
The killer has many ways to find a survivor but telling me that I need to go into a locker or hide behind a gen ever hook is kinda disrupting the flow of the game
the lockers and hiding behind gens disrupts the flow of the game
My favorite quotes from you so far

you keep assuming things about myself.
I play with 1 friend and me and him usually 95% of the time are the last two survivors cause the other survivors keep getting caught and don't know the game.
The only time I have a problem with the game is when the killer has BBQ and Chili, nothing else.
Telling me to stop playing the game or get good isn't going to help anyone.
I look up looping videos and other tips and tricks about the game I know how to counter the perk but OTHER survivors don't.
Having to change the way the game is when someone is hooked which should happen about 12 times in a match meaning the killer has 12 chances to find someone using this perk, knowing the person direction he is going, what he is doing (healing or doing a gen or cleansing a totem)
It's sad that you all need a perk that finds people so easily but you tell me to get good at the game or even stop playing, that right there is just straight toxicity.
Make freinds. Most of your comments are about other survivors perks or your team not helping.

Tldr: nerf noed, remove hatch
So perspective
Survivors have 3rd person while killers have first person...
So right off the bat killers have less map awareness and consistency view less information then survivors. Spinning your camera angle can make it so even facing a wall let's you look behind you or around your surroundings.
4 person vs 1
Means theres a massive opportunity for co operation and matchmaking means it's always 4 vs 1. Hook diving, chase rotations, callout spotting...
You can pretend that going alone is difficult but that's a choice. Its massively easy to build a freind list of people to play just dont be an ass.
Killer add ons are always consumed while survivors can 99% tools every match, as well as trade or farm for items from chests. So you need to put more resources and grind every step of the way on killers making killer power ups far more rare.
And while 4 people can brand new part toolbox at the same game, killer will only ever have 1 (or two as some killers)
You can hear the killer coming at all time with heartbeat and actively hide from them all match.
Poor hitbox and collisions combined with the red stain means you always see a hit coming and can 360 or dodge
Two health states, 3 hooks, 4 survivors
Played the correct way is 12 chases that people fail for 2 hits in a row or 24 separate chases assuming survivors uses the adrenaline they get for free every hit to give distance.
The killer reasonably has 12 objectives to balance between 4 people while survivors have to do 5 gens and gates so 6.
And the hatch opens for free no matter what on the last guy.
Do I really need to go on ?
I get that perks and powers can sometimes mitigate this. I do get that. But every power comes with a cooldown or drawback and every single perk a killer has, has a survivor perk to counter if not more then 1
And the worst part about that is... the killer has 4 perks and survivors have 12. Only one has to run small game to completely erase all killer hex perks. Only one has to run spine chill or deva vu. They can each play a different build and theres nothing a killer can do to beat 4 different builds in one match.
Sounds to alert the killer
And skillchecks as well as everything else
The game is only built for survivors to die if they make mistakes and get caught. If you play a long time you dont make these mistakes.
I haven't missed a great skillcheck in at least 200 hours of Dbd. It really speeds up the game. The moment I hear the heartbeat and crouch and wonder a few feet behind a tree and like magic he cant find me 90% of the time especially early game. Because his view is literally limited
And with sprints and pallets I can put major distance between me and the killer and the only way he can catch me is line of sight bloodlust or taking the inside track of the run. Any player past the 20th match takes a look around the gen and plots a route out before they settle into the skillcheck game. Its not hard.
No matter what killer I'm against so long as I have a group with me we can stun the killer out of a grab by going down behind windows with flashlights or going down under pallets. And there is nothing to stop two people from diving the hook at a facecamp killer tank a hit and watch him cry as the 3nd person gets me off and we all run out and the 4th pops a gen during the whole deal.
This horror game quickly became a scooby doo simulator really quick. Anytime someone can dance and tbag an immortal killing machine and get away we all have to admit that this game heavily favors the survivors
Tldr: nerf noed, remove hatch

Have you looked at all at the base mechanisms from each side ?
Or are you blind.

-
Bbq is the only reason to leave someone hooked. Otherwise camping is almost required. Most people run bbq for the bloodpoints anyway.
Also the entire game is weighted heavily against the killer
-
Yeah I do this as wraith as well so survivors dont get any BP
Opening the exit gates on them is funny as well they get that much less.
I get alot of hate mail when I kill someone so I guess people have more fun when they never see the killer at all. That's why I started
-
You mean the perk bbq and chili ?
The thing is... your not entitled to 3 hooks
So the killer has every right to camp
Try hiding or escaping a chase instead
Or working with teammates

Body blocking is a legit strat. For survivors, tanking a hit is super altruistic, helps the team overall, and some perks like WGLF and MoM will reward you for it. Killers do it too- a good Wraith or Legion will block pallets and windows when they're in a chase and revert to their 'normal' forms (opposed to invis or FF). There's even an infamous Hag build all about body blocking.
Oh yeah dont get me wrong taking a hit to help someone who's fresh of the hook is my Go to. it's mostly a legit strategy but if it's over used or more then once or twice a match it kills the killer fun. teamwork is that powerful and the game isnt balanced for it at all.
-
GREAT PLAY !
Yo that was nice to watch. I've always wanted to fill the hooks on basement but they always DC before I can

It's really annoying
And very frustrating
Maybe it's because it's really against the spirt of the game and just using collision mechanics like that feels terrible
Any time I played killer today its just toxic survivors taunting me. Everyone is just frustrated with all the killer nerfs
-
Play killer let everyone escape
Hide with insidious, open the gates before they do
And they wont pip but you still get as many bp as them
If they never hit a chase they get no bp from it, never save anyone ? No bp.
They get around 3-12k a match by my wraith and I get 5k ish just floating around invisible.

In horror movies the survivors win most the time. Idk I feel like that some killers feel like its should be butcher simulator, and wouldn't no one want to play a game just so someone can chase you catch you and throw you on a hook a few time. It's a hard game to get in a good spot on balance cause no one wants to be there just for the others entertainment.
If the salty messages and people wanting to rub it in when they win would stop it wouldn't be so bad. Like I can get killed in Apex and the individual doesn't go out their way to let me know they got me.
I think all that was learned through content creators. If we just come together and play the game without the mindset of making the other sides game as miserable as possible we would all have a better time with this game. Been playing since Jan of 2017 and would like to keep playing. Love this game see you all in the fog on Ps4.
I have spoken. PS4 AnimalHeadSkull if anyone wants to add me I'm on quite regularly and play both sides.
What horror movies you watching ? They usually get though a few dozen kills at least 2 in the shower alone before a single person makes it out
I mostly agree with the butcher simulator but at the same time players shouldn't have so much leasure they can tbag, click and dance. They should have a real struggle to live. 4E really shouldn't happen. Not without a buttload of teamwork
