Been playing three hours in red, only died three times all to noed facecamps but i cant blame them
I've been getting two gens done before the killer hit anyone tbh it's kinda hard to pip up
I'm definitely not gonna play killer for a while lol not being a doctor main that cooldown is just two long. I like the blast tho but noone is stalled in the least by snap out of it. I'm watching them do it mid loop

On console, I can't really play survivor anymore. Wait time is 99% of the time around 10 minutes. So I either play killer exclusively now on console, or I just shut the game off. You have a problem with your game if people are shutting it off before they can even play a match.
I never thought about it... but that comments right there is how I became a killer main... wow -mindblown-

I dont DC on first down.
I'll DC when the server starts rubberbanding me, if the killer gets a wildly off hit(like, 10 feet away/through a pallet or window that was blatantly obvious), the server hiccuping by not giving me prompts(locker/vault/gate). I'm not going to stay in a game that is unfairly rewarding the killer. Literally, the only thing the killer can do gameplay wise for me to DC, is when the killer intentionally starts slugging with more than 2 gens left and is purposely not hooking people(not using IFF). Nor will I stay in games where other survivors are farming/sandbagging each other. If the killer wants to farm, i'm doing gens and leaving.
Using DS/Unbreakable for me breaks a lot of immersion... So does not being able to heal myself with a medkit while slugged or using the key on the hatch while slugged.
Its not about pipping, rank, or even surviving(since you don't have to survive to pip). It's about quality of games. There are both sides of the game that are abusing things they shouldn't. There are still hacks and people who cheat at the game.
Also, this game doesn't have the proper pbase to issue anything more than a few minute bans. This is not COD with 100,000+ players. Finding games as killer is already a pain. Increasing DC bonus, adding distance crawled bp, time down, bleeding out, etc then it would be marginally tolerable. At least do this buff for solo players, since they are the more likely to DC because they aren't earning anything and its not worth while to stay.
I disagree with a fair amount but I understand what your saying
I'm on ps4 so my experience is flipped. Killer games are instant match while survivors are 20+minutes
Slugging last two has to happen because of the free hatch system.
I had a match yesterday where survivors were toxic af all match and they dc when I hooked them so I cant get a kill and the last guy jumped hatch and told me how I lost the match because of it.
-
Yeah I have fun
I've been playing the game for a long time and it's nice to argue with the most toxic entitled community of all time
I enjoy the layout and reading patch notes at least.
And all the community art and make up your own killers are interesting and fun

Imagine having access to DS, DH, BT, Adre, all of which are literally 4 crutch perks, and calling killer try hards for using a perk that is a bandaid fix to an unbalanced mechanic.. holy fuk these survivors.
No worry buddy, soon you won't have to hit that terribly difficult "skill" check anymore.
Maybe next patch they will make it so you just hold down the Sprint to automatically loop the killer.
-
1)Survivors are Op- 3rd person view, teamwork, 2 health states, tools, 3 hooks, dozens second chance perks
2) It gets really frustrating really fast most killer mains weather they feel it or not 4k is a win and anything less is a lost. It's one team vs the other mentality
3) In a horror game the mood matters... and if your a killer you want to feel powerful... scary even. And survivors just tbag behind pallets and click flashlights around loops before they jump hatch... the moods gone.
If any helpless survivor can screw around in front of an immortal monster trying to kill them... then the games unbalance and without fear or suspense
As they nerf killers to be balanced for the adv stats they will find most games are anything but. After 600 hours matches are always one or two ways. A straight excape or a murder roll
Que times are the only reason I became a killer main
But that's my ps4 experience.

Thombstone is in my opinion not op, actually i would rather prefere playing without addons then this one. The value you get out of it is not that great.
Kill healthy or injured Survivors with Evil Within III
.
No hits. No hooks, no downs just Bop to kill...
-
With around 700 plus hours into this game I can say killer is underpowered the redder the rank
And survivors is harder the less experience they have
The game is made on teamwork and survivor mistake.
If you dont hide when you hear the heartbeat or move from cover to cover killer is gonna get you just like any movie will show...
But if they never make the classic slasher mistakes... the killer even touches them.
The game isnt built for it. As your lvl goes up you should unlock things for characters rewarding you learning their powers or skills... and higher lvl players shouldn't be matched against lowers
Low lvl killers wouldn't have ruin unlocked to terrorize new players but... they nerfed that because it did...
Rank should increase gen time
Perk slots should restrict what you have in them... you wouldnt be able to run ruin and bbq if they are both 4th slot only. That's a interesting choice.
-
Yes hello, I will take the overcharge buff
And nothing else
Thank you
-
200 hours each on both sides I can say the killer is easily underpowered the farther up the ranks you go.
Alot of people in the forums will jump on you and talk about perks and powers but getting right down to the core gameplay killer main perspective
4 people vs 1 means teamwork will always beat out the 1 simply because every step you take they take 4 every skillcheck or action they take 4. It's always something to overcome.
3rd person vs 1st person view
They will always have a better awareness of what's going on. While they have the entire map to look at killers must be focused on not losing them.
Killer actions are limited to characters powers while survivors have a wide base kit and tool system to handle all threat
Killer addons are consumed every time while survivors can keep items ADD farm for them from chests to stockpile. Making survivors easier to lvl up and expand on while killers must spend to continue to have items for the next match.
From the terror radius to the red stain and oversized character model and sounds you always know where a killer is but survivors must make a mistake or sound to be found.
Survivors get 2 health states and 3 hooks. For second chances to live
adrenaline on hits to get away, pallets to stun, lockers, windows and drops to gain distance and loops and obstacles to break the line of sight while killers only have bloodlust and catches all while killers red stain let's survivors avoid a hit if they hear a wind up
Perks and powers change alot... but base game killers aren't made to win longterm... at launch before many things changed this was Truthfully a horrifying game that really scared people. Never in a million years did I think every killer match I play would have survivors dancing and tbagging at the immortal monster here to murder them only to see them D/C when they get downed the first time.
-

for survivors, they should just make them auto struggle on hook if they have a bad rep of dcing during games. Perma ban everyone who d/c will kill the game. lol
I'm ok with that because I'd rather have a longer time to wait for a real match then waste time in a terrible one.
They really should just make offline bots to fight.

Titel^ No specific order.
1.Matchmaking: It should not be ever that you run into killers / survivors that are +/- 10 ranks. Here is an example of myself:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/732/5ZMDVUFBZ5GC.jpg
2.The Hitboxes: This happens to me every day and it is so annoying and frustrating. I wittness it on killer and on survivor side. It especially becomes really silly vs Huntress. There are tons of Videos out there, here is just a random one i recorded today. I would be able do a video like that every day multible times. It happens nonstop.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9VpJK7vyHrU
3.Maps: Some maps need some overlooking. Look at Mothers Dwelling for example, its way to big for most Killers. Some Maps like Haddonfield are too strong for survivors (remove the god window would be a good step in the right direction) and some maps like Lab or Game are way to good for Killers. Especially Lab is a joke, 8/10 pallets are completly useless. Also, change some of the infinites.. for example the window in Iron works or coal tower, make it so it cant be fast vaulted at least.
4.Buff some Killers: Clown feels a bit to weak and so is Leatherface and Legion. It does not have to be big buffs, small changes might already make them pretty good.
5.SWF has to be changed in any way. Dont poop on me please, i am no killer main, currently i play even more survivor, but i must say, SWF is super strong. The thing is really, that the difference between SWF4 Man team vs 4 Solo players is very significant.
6.Ranks: It is way to easy to rank up as survivor! 2 days after rank reset and i am already rank 1, and with the last change (which is very bad in my opinion), more and more potatoes will be in redranks... and trust me when i say: 90% of these people are nowhere even close to Redrank or even Rank 1 worthy, sorry (not saying that i am, but most people are definitly worse then me, and i am very far from beeing a "pro".. still learning the game). The difference within redranks is sooo big, it is really from between "Survivor is a god" to" Survivor apparently installed the game 2 weeks ago". My first season and i was rank 1... and i was horrible at the game! That should tell you a lot about it.
7.Moris, Addons and Items:Red Moris are totally gamebreaking. Change them so the killer has to hook every survivor one time so it becomes active. Same with the Green one by the way. Keys are also for many killers a problem, i dont see them to often, but i see the potential power they have. Last but not least, some Addons are totally broken. Iri Head for example is absurd, especially in combinition with Infantry Belt. Change it that Huntress has to be further ways then 16 or 20 Meters that it is a oneshot down. There are many more that have to be changed, for example: Rusty Shackles, Tuft of Hair, Black Incense or Bloody Glove just to name a few.
8.Some perks are waiting for a Buff: Mindbreaker, Monstrous Shrine, Hangmans Trick, Unrelenting, No Mither, Sole Survivor, Deja Vu are just some examples.
9.Lobbyquese can be long from time to time.
After all this suggestions that may be seen as complaining, i must add, that you are really doing a good job so far, even with its flaws, i still have fun playing Dead by Daylight! Thank you for that!
Last but not least: What do you guys think? Do you have other "To does" you think off? Probably i forgot some really big things, but these are the ones i really think they have to be changed as soon as possible.
Wait wait wait... you wanna get rid of the 1 hatchet
But your first thought wasnt tombstone on mike that let's you kill instantly

I agree killer deserve a much better quitter bonus and a rank buff.
DC survivors should not be punished. Some killers are terribly annoying. If you don't have fun playing there is nothing bad in DC.
Remaining survivors should have also a bonus and gen buff for playing a more difficult game, proportional to the number of DC
So your logic is... that if the cowboys spend weeks getting ready for a game spend the time and effort playing and then the eagles dont like getting scored on they can leave and it hurts noone ?
Imagine every time you killed someone in Cod or apex the match disconnected...
If you cant see the problem let me que u in.
If you dont wait for your death because you are "annoyed"
The killer has more time to focus everyone else. The hook is never broken on the sac and can be used to kill everyone else, dozens of perks by both killer and survivor is affected negatively everyone loses thousands of points and the match goes terrible so all other 4 people involved waisted the 15 minute it took to get into the match along with all the items everyone brought.
People who D/C should have perma bans
-
I made a thread about letting killers relight totems
-
What is wrong with you... have you never played killer ?
Survivors need a severe nerf.
We are not stunning the killer on hits.
We are not breaking every hook on the map permanently for free
We are not healing ourselves or anyone else faster for no reason
If you cant find the hatch or the gates you dont deserve them.
If you cant find windows u dont deserve them
Single most out of touch post I've ever seen
-
Ummm its 15minutes to get matched survivor on ps4
And about 3 seconds to matched as killer
Noone wants to play killer lol

What about wraith being able to use a secondary power that make survivors at close distance start screaming and cancel actions? Something like doctor shocks. It would help wraith on chases
Letting the killer go 3rd person during a chase would be a cool power
-
Did you bait the hit and then pull the guy off during the cooldown ?
Did ur 3rd teammate bodybock ur second hit so noone went down during this bum rush rescue?
Did you try leading him away or making noise closeby?
Did everyone use the 2 minutes on hook to do all the gens and then 3 escape?
Did the first guy click his flashlight and tbag the killer hitting him with stuns or 360 dips until he got upset and face camped him?
Did the killer have a challenge or archive to do?
Facecamping is the tamest thing I've herd of... it's almost an afk killer easily overcome with teamwork and I didnt even have to mention the dozen perks that help.
-
At player lvl 45 you should have half my stuff dude !
Maybe something is up with your game
It's really weird
-
I would not guess you played 200 games. Like I'm not calling you a liar but... with daily rituals and the archives you should have had a enough for 2 or 3 lvl 50 characters by now
I got from 43 to 50 just playing 3 hours tonight

Yeah, you have a lot of high level characters. Don't you kind of wish you could transition to a new character without having to level everything up? I just feel like I have spent a lot of game time to be where I am at, and I am a long way off still.
So if you play a bunch on ur fav charater to the bp cap 1mil or approx 20 games for me you can boost any lvl 1 to 35-41.
Every time I start someone new I lvl them to 10 and then play with the 3 starter perks... by the time I unlock them for everyone (teachable lvl40) I have a great grasp on playstyle and how they interact with everything else.
Games unless they are terrible are entirely under my control. I know where the killer is based on heartbeat and hide, as killer dragging out the chase and letting everyone off the hook over and over really stacks up. Always use an offering for bp get 40k-every match 70-90with cake and bbq
20 games to unlock someone's perks give or take. It's not really that long so long as you never D/C
-
Sucks but sometimes you gotta vent
I understand

Idk maybe my view is off but I really dont play that much and I got tons of lvl 50s

-

-
THISCouple things...
ISurvivors can easily take them down. Just like they did before
Any time killer spends on this is massive, time not spent hunting, chasing, building powers or laying traps...
STEALTH If you loose tokens it's pointless. It's hard enough to rank most of them up but impossible in most places to max them out let alone losing them to a takedown
NERF killers will have to also spend time traveling to them... if its across map away from the last 3 or the gates ? Forget it.
TO dull totems can be completely removed
NOED hex's can have exceptions or reworks in order to revamp this secondary objective

I appreciate your input and I do have those perks, and the DBP weekends are nice, but if DBD doesn't change its progression, I can't really stay on that seriously. I don't have that kind of time. I am mostly upset that more of the game isn't more accessible in a shorter amount of time. Compare this game to something like halo or rocket league, both have online modes that are loved for gameplay. While there are leveling elements, nothing comes close in those games to asking me to grind like this game. Oh well. I can hope.
Rocket league... 400 lvls in and I've yet to "earn" a single exotic
Dont tell me about the grind with a trade up system like that
5 lvls (for trade up rare)
25lvls for a trade up very rare)
125lvls for trade ups imports
625lvls for full trade ups to exotic.
Unless you get lucky.. or unlucky you find 2 imports you wanna keep

I was really disappointed In reading this "Accessibility" I thought maybe you'd be asking for more colorblind and soundless options this game is really hard to play on either disability.
Your entire post is laughable. It's an online multiplayer game... and a competitive one at that.
COMPETITIVE games require you to learn to compete in high ranks... you cant play in the NFL on the weekends because you played one season in high school.
I AGREE with the grind and leveling being really stretched. But lvls are tied to items and single use. Every match you play if you spend your points gets you enough to buy a few things so you never run out of offerings and toolboxes to keep you playing. If they doubled it everyone would run brand new parts and mori each match.
Your not made to get every perk to get every build. Your to build for your playstyle so as you use things over and over you get better at it... to teach you.

Killers get punished enough for hard camping (or almost enough).
I think what we need is rewarding survivior for being on hook for multiple phases, because it means he is "abandoned" and gives his time to do objectives. Buying time for your team is rewarded in chases, so It should also be when hooked.
In my opinion it could be someting like that:
10 points for the Benevolent emblem for every Sacrifice phase increase while killer is less than 16 meters away. (Max 20 points)
Additional points added in a similiar way being in chase contributes towards Lightbringer emblem, but instead it works while the killer is close to hook. (Cant propose exact numbers because its complicated)
Yeah I'm not a fan of giving players points for being hooked ... that'll reward them for nothing.

I'm done with this toxic killer rampage that is being allowed. I have played back to back killers the past few months who literally hook someone and stand 3 feet infront of them. Even barrowed time doesn't save me from being downed getting a survivor off hook, just to have the same killer stand 3 feet from me until I die on hook.
Yeah. Great game!
-would love to say that this isn't just a once in awhile kind of thing. I face several killers like this EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.
But if I quit, I'm the bad guy. I'm being a "baby" and "should be honorable and just die on hook". Dont forget get punished by the game itself for quitting on a piece of trash camper killer as he stands infront of me. Hitting me. Over and over until I die as they down anyone who comes close to me.
So we are supposed to just be hooked and camped to be farmed for points for the killers so they rank up and that's totally 100% okay according to everyone?
No wonder there is trash survivors who just closet and hatch camp instead of being a team player!
I have messaged the killers myself and they just laugh and call names because even THEY KNOW that they are TOXIC and they will CLEARLY get away with it.
I have reported them (after getting the same camping killer in more matches then one) and NOTHING has been done. (reported on DbD and xbox live)
I have recorded them to PROVE they are honestly doing this. Even putting in comments if I report that I have 100% proof they are doing this and it's not just 1 round.
I have blocked them and still get put against them.
Best part is a toxic killer going after someone because he can see their name and remembers that he played against them last round. It's so awesome trying to fight that..
BUT dont worry! I can't quit before the match even starts if it's the same toxic killer because that "unfair" for a survivor to see the killers name.
The killers who play this toxic think its hilarious. I've seen them talking/commenting in forums, on facebook dbd pages, even on the official DbD page about how they do it on purpose to pi$$ survivors off. They are trolls that are completely allowed to troll and get protected by DbD.
I love the game. I have paid money in the game. I get that everyone can be a little toxic some times and have no problem with that. I do have a problem with the amount of killers who play like I stated above. Especially waiting 20-30mins to even get into that match.
As killer I can confirm that if I stand 3ft in front of hook...
There is nothing I can do to stop him from being saved. A bum rush is a bum rush. If they use teamwork bate hits and protect and body block two people can do it with the 3nd on the hook
And the only thing I can do is cry as the 4th guy pops a gen and all that camping was wasted.
You may not like it but it's completely counterable

In the interest of trying to make the idea balanced:
1) Let's say it's a ritual that takes the same amount of time it takes for a Survivor to cleanse a Totem, but once the ritual is performed, it takes a bit of time after that for the Totem to become fully lit and reactivate.
2) Make it so Hex Totems can only be re-lit in the order they were cleansed. Say if you have both Ruin and The Third Seal, you re-light them in that order. As far as Haunted Grounds, you have three options: You manually have to light two totems, lighting a totem causes another one chosen at random to be lit, or you can just give Haunted Grounds an ability that prevents you from relighting that particular perk.
3) Let's say yes, but to balance it out, you have to wait a certain amount of time after a Totem is cleansed before you can light it again. Also make it so you can't gain stacks as long as the Totem isn't lit.
YES!
-
@mouse0270 said:
How long does it take to light a dull totem?
How do I relight Haunted Grounds?
Do you keep your previous stacks? Devour, Lullaby, 3rd Seal...
Base light I would put as same time it takes to cleanse
Light takes Longer the more stacks you have?
Hexes that dont have stacks have diminishing returns. T3relight>T2 return
If multi hex relights are in order of perk slot
-
consider letting killers place totems
Injure survivors who stop cleansing
Make offerings to effect cleansings to be easier or slower. To be more hidden or brighter lit.

If I get a 4k I consider it a win
3k being acceptable not a loss
