And should it only work once per gen as well?
Potentially yes, that's a great idea
-
Yes, and it also need oppression's cooldown
-
The overall point is that bhvr has a really questionable priority list considering there are things that need adjustments much more than either locker saves and eruption, yet here we are

You're a legend.
To expand on that: Not really. Higher skilled folks who already have the timing down won't notice much of a difference- they've already mastered the timing. The bigger challenge at that point is getting into position in time to get a save. If the killer knows how to play around flashlights, that becomes more difficult since they can face a wall or turn the other way.
If your get into position early, nothing changes. You could have waited the extra 0.25 seconds out and gotten the blind even without it.
If you get there late, you still do not get the blind.
More than anything, it makes them easier to learn and feel better to use. This more of less compensates for the inability to adjust your timing after the cooldown was added.
So can I still feel special for hitting godlike flashlight saves?
Watch "flash on coo" on Streamable. -
You don't. Killers literally don't need buffs right now

It doesn't sound extremely abusable at all.
Until everybody can move, the game should not be considered "in progress". As long as it's not "in progress" the server should be able to cancel the match at all times. This includes situations where a player has an abysmal latency or other connectivity issues (may those be unintentional or intentional/malicious) during the loading phase.
So anyone during pan screen could DC because they don't like the map with no penalty since the game is not considered in progress? You know what, I agree with you

@TeabaggingGhostface said:
Everyone should be locked in place until everyone is able to move
Perks like lethal and corrupt should also not activate until then
That sounds extremely abusable by people that would just flood their own net on purpose to lock people into the game
-
True. But my main is neither killer nor survivor. My main is swf, because playing survivor is just awful imho, I'm there for the company. My second main is killer :)

I have a simple question, by curiosity : why did you choose this combo build / map ? Do you use it regularly ?
Cause it's a free win for anyone with opposable thumbs

Actually based on what I see on Nightlight and other posts with detailed kill breakdowns the most common results are 0 kills and 4 kills. On Nightlight for example almost every killer has a higher percentage of games with 0 kills than 1 kill and 2 kills, more 4 kills than 3 kills, and 2 kills are the least common result for all of them as well. Basically because of how momentum works during play the game is geared to be very swingy toward everybody escapes or nobody does.
As an example, here’s a snapshot of three killers, notice the kill distributions for them. All the killers have similar distributions.
Iirc though kill rates are only affected by survivor uploads, to avoid skewing them from killer bias (uploading only games where killer won). If that's still the case, then it is possible that kill rates are skewed towards the extremes because survivors are more likely to upload if they're still in the game at the end (for example i dont upload survivor games most often because if i die mid game i just leave). I don't know, it's all supposition, but it doesn't seem unlikely that more uploads happen because the game ended pertty soon after the uploader's time in the trial.
I don't know if I'm explaining what I mean clearly, do you get what I mean?

Blight's basekit is already good enough, we don't need to make one of his best add-ons basekit at all

I play plague the least and that is why my mmr there is not as high, but you are right on what you said.
I do play every match with at least 2 slowdowns and i aim for 4k by any means, that means i camp and i tunnel most of my games when i see it benefits me for the pure win.
Problem is i get fun with low mmr people for a bit, then 5-6 games in a row i face SWF ( somtimes even solo ) squads that wreck me.
Either i am not as good the game thinks, or there is big in-balance in power between the top and avrg mmr quee. Either way i don't want to deal with it, i would like to somehow get locked and not go high mmr at all.
So let me get this straight, you aim for the 4k by any means and sweat your ass off, and throw a fit whenever you don't win?
Talking about entitlement this thread is a really good example. "I want my easy wins against inherently disadvantaged players because when I go against something even remotely coordinated I realize that even my stacked slowdowns and sweaty builds can't completely compensate a possible lack of skill, I don't win, and this is unacceptable bhvr" 😭😭

Got it first try: wait for someone to get hooked, show yourself and camp a pallet (eat the m1 in case)

Why do you take the "unbalanced" idea of Nurse from a veteran player that plays Nurse like no other player in Dead by Daylight?
SupaAlf is just one of the most dedicated Nurse players in the entire game, obviously he will perform amanzingly well. Try to take a Nurse from an average player and see how it goes
Same but change Nurse with "pre rework dead hard" especially with the last sentence

Wonder why survivors still do it. Hmm...
I really wonder what's better: ignoring the gen and letting it regress or stopping the regression anyway, even though overall progress is lost. Hmm........

Isn't viable? It takes 1.8 second investment to undo 2.25 seconds. It's literally nothing.
Tapping gens is still viable and in many cases the right move to do even with the "buff".
Ofc it's the right move, you don't let the gen regress. What was complained about was that kicking the gen was pointless because one could simply tap it mid chase or in any occasion nullifying the action that happened two seconds earlier. Now just tapping isn't viable, and a survivor actually has to work on the gen for a couple of seconds to gain back the lost progress.
-
@HellDescent said:
Even if they don't want to increase the regression, the least they could is make survivors interact with damaged generator for at least 5 seconds before start making progress. So that tapping it doesn't resume the progress
They literally just buffed kicking gens so that tapping isn't viable anymore what do you want more

That doesn't really work when MMR is a zero sum game. The ranks weren't, and rank 1 was too accessible for it to function as a proper matchmaking variable. But for your MMR to go up, someone else's MMR has to go down. It's possible everyone on the forum is the grizzled DBD veteran they envision themselves to be, but for every single player who's moderately competent at the game to be at the soft cap like the old system did - that's impossible.
Granted, I'm not saying MMR is good at matchmaking, just that it doesn't share that problem from the old system.
Is it really zero sum though? Is the amount lost by 4 survivors equal to the amount gained by the killer and viceversa? I don't think it is
-
@Laluzi said:
I don't see why not. It'd at least stop the "I'm at top MMR so your opinion is wrong and you just don't understand what it's like at the top" arguments once people learn that they are not, in fact, at top MMR.
Or conversely that everyone IS at "top MMR" (1600+), which is basically like old red ranks, useless

Nurse is fine. Nurse is the ONLY KILLER that has true control in the match BASED ON SKILL. If she can PREDICT and TIME THE BLINKS properly, you lose. Even still, comp proves she's still nothing.
They're are TOO MANY BOOSTED POTATOES IN DBD!
Like those boosted nurses that can't play without her broken add-ons, exposed perks or stacked slowdowns?

How about someone who thinks she is balanced in her current state due to the state of the game itself? She certainly doesn't need addons to be playable, but it is fair to say that there can be loadouts stacked in a way that they can severely dampen even her potential without addons, especially if they have the skill to go with it.
Edit: At least in my opinion, of course.
Still can't be arsed, because if I'm reading this correctly (and forgive me if I'm putting words in your mouth), nurse being considered balanced because of the mild chance of getting a comp level swf that might give her a challenge isn't an argument either.
Average nurses with stomping builds are a lot more frequent than that, and average nurses with stomping builds can beat teams who's skill would let them destroy most other killers even while playing perk less (which is a definition of imbalance)

Fair, I hadn't seen theirs, but it too is the same fallacy. That said, not much point countering fallacies with the same.
True, but I honestly can't be arsed anymore to argue with someone who thinks that nurse in the current state is balanced and *needs* add-ons to be playable
So I'll just throw some sarcasm here and there and leave

The fact that you mention the 3rd blink discredits you, to be completely honest. That addon is throwing and no good nurse uses it
Good nurses don't use add-ons to begin with

I do suggest making your topic a bit more constructive - exactly what is it that you don't like about nurse etc. Rather than just saying "delete nurse"
What people don't like about nurse has been expressed again and again and plenty of easy and immediate solutions were given already
But hey, you made it pretty clear this ptb would not contain any adjustment or content whatsoever, right?
-
No :(
But rework her to be actually difficult again, yes
-
Soon™
-
They probably saw Cope abusing those broken infinite z-walls against some poor killer and thought it would be a great addition as a jungle gym
-
All Kill was when DBD had reached the bottom of the pit (Binding of kin) and started digging
Disgusting killer
-
Regardless, I still strongly believe that all she needs is her range add-ons removed, her recharge add-ons nerfed in numbers, and her M1 to be counted as special
If they add back the stun into fatigue feature, that's a plus
-
5.5.0: you forgot that if you only had one blink and the second 99ed, and started charging, both blinks would recharge from 0. Since her recoding, the recharging restarts where it left
That, along with the pallet stun into fatigue removal, were two major buffs she really did not need

alright kiddo, you aren't even making good points, have a good one.
I'm not making 'good points' because you're asking for a nerf because you can't handle the fact that to consistently win you need to put effort into it
If you want to play for fun, accept that you will lose, especially against survivors that want to win. If you want to win, then try hard. You can't have it both ways.
Oh, you want to win while chilling? Get good

2 gens left, 7 stages, 1 dead
Nyoooooo please nerf pallets more, the most useless pallet in the map chains into a jungle gym

So Trapper and Pig have more dephts in pressing Right-Mouse to install a RBT or placing a Trap in a Pallet? Wow. As Freddy-Main, I will agree that he is not hard, but especially with Fake-Teleports (for Dead Man Switch for example) and Snares, you need to know what u are doing to get value out of it. You have to predict the Movements to place the snares at the right places to get a hit. For the Teleports, u need game-sense to predict on which one the survivors probably work on. Compared to guys like Blight or Cenobite, its easy, of course, but to literally say "so easy, everybody can play him good", I have to disagree.
I will not compare this with Survivor-Gameplay... holding a button, time a Spacebar and hold Shift+W for the rest.
Trapper requires some brain to efficiently use his traps, while Freddy just spams them around a loop to catch up
Pig requires brain to use her dash, that somehow you forgot to mention. Are you one of those pigs that just hold W until you catch up to the survivor?
-
There is no correlation
Killers call genrushing what most times is the result of their own misplays (commonly referred to as "the game is survivor sided 😢"). And killers camp and tunnel even if the game is going clearly in their favor already

First time I saw his mori I felt heat all over my body

Explain to me how it's on me when I either have to choose between swinging at a pallet (and proccing dead hard) or eating a pallet stun. Where is the counterplay?
If you quick swing without lunging after the dead hard you hit a survivor while they're still animation locked (that works even without dead hard)
This is common knowledge for any experienced killer
-
No one overreacted and no one said it was a bad perk after the rework, it's just fair. If you get hit by a dead hard now, that's on you

It's a good proof of why BHVR can't skip a chapter on health.

-
Not a single balance change (buffs/nerfs/add-ons?) nor perk changes other than those directly related to the mori change
These patch notes are so disappointing, considering the mori change is not supposed to go live. This also explains why they didn't publish any developer note yesterday. There was *nothing* to publish at all
