    brain dead killer.

same stretched res/bright colors/whatever other pc shenanigans SNOOOOOOOZE

I'd rather get Tombstoned in the first two minutes than face Blight. I don't know why people think he's in the same league as Oni, Billy or Nurse. Give me 10 Supaalf Nurses over your average rank 1 Blight. I literally just want to mori myself as soon as I hear the scream.

Do they? I think most people agree that Blight is close to Spirit-tier (if not on her tier with the small pp build). And Nurse is that strong too, but only if played well (which she isn't 95% of the time).

  • @IronKnight55 said:

That build isn't fun to against, but I do enjoy going against Blight without those perks. Can't blame people for using them, tho.

You can't. And Blight isn't bad when he's not running them, I agree. I wish they'd nerf the combo a tiny bit more to make it less of a meta build. It's not fun playing verse a perk combo most games in red ranks. There's no mixture.

  • @WishIcouldmain said:

Because this combination can be eliminated by just doing two totems. This isn’t Old Undying. Two bones are manageable. And there’s enough counters to Blight in chase

But by that argument, if it was that easy then this build wouldn't be more common than not in higher ranks. There's a reason why it's so common - it's extremely strong. In theory, yes it's easy to eliminate 2 totems. And yes, in some games it is extremely easy. And sure, if I play with an SWF, I'd imagine it would also be easy. But as a solo queue survivor, it's hard. You get killers who camp totems. You'll see loads of unlit ones. You'll get extremely well hidden ones. You'll get survivors who don't understand to look for the totems first, especially verse a high map pressure killer and just end up wasting a ton of time getting pushed off gens (and trying to go back to it), etc.

  • @GannTM said:

Well so far I’m using BBQ, Spirit Fury, Enduring, I’m All Ears on Blight. No gen regression so not all Blights run that build you mentioned.

Again, I said most. not all. There's always players who, 1) are good enough to not need regression perks, 2) recognize how unfun the extreme meta build is and don't run it, 3) want to improve map pressure skills and/or don't care about 4k'ing every game, 4) understand that running meta perks on an S-tier killer is overkill. You fall into one of these categories. And I'm sure many others do. But that still doesn't change the fact that if you verse a Blight, you can probably expect this build.

  • @Ghoste said:

There's plenty of posts complaining about Blight, especially using that build.

I don't really see them when I come on here (admittedly I'm on reddit much more, which also avoid talking about how this build on blight is not very fair/fun).

I mean. That's exactly what folks sound like when they say "all blights run this build"

Yet survivors can run whatever. And no issues. You don't feel killers arnt sick of always seeing DH, DS, BT, Prove thyself, unbreakable, etc ?

    I didn't say all. I said most. There's a huge difference.

  • @GrimoireWeiss said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2394534#Comment_2394534

This seems more like a your team problem than a Blight one.

It's a Blight problem because of his kit + how much the game autopilots him with these perks.

Also, you are ignoring the fact that this combo is in more than 50% of red ranked games, showing how consistently strong it is. Pair it with an S-tier killer (, Spirit or Blight) and it just becomes an unfun match because either they are overly strong (due to being S-tier killers running the strongest perk combo) or are complete babies (making the game a joke because smashing new players is just as unfun).

  • @BrokenSouI said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2394531#Comment_2394531

Oh man. How dare them use the perks at their disposal. That gives them the best chance at winning.

Imagine not wanting to run ######### perks that will just get you ######### on.

Alright, you are clearly showing that talking to you is pointless. So, :) I'll just leave it here. (Shame there's no mute button on here).

If you can check the bias at the door, maybe we can continue!

  • @GrimoireWeiss said:

Because doing two totems isn't that hard.

You haven't met my teams! And a blight has a very good shot of defending them because of his map pressure. It's just a very strong combo and there's a reason killers who don't know how to map pressure it use this combo. And if it "isn't that hard" it wouldn't be in more than 50% of red ranked games.

  • @Zozzy said:

Given up complaining. Blight mains keep finding ways to abuse his power from J flick to z flick (still in the game btw) and now "hugging"

    What's that?

  • He is if he doesn't run the small PP build, which most do. Whenever that happens, he's spirit tier of unfun (and more popular than her too, so it ends up being even more frustrating if you verse more than 1 day)..

  • @Bran said:

i get what you mean, but someone who has been a way and is rusty wouldn't have it fair being a red rank still and not being able to get back into the groove.

    still valid though

Yeah...but it doesn't take many games to get unrusty. My main is Nurse and I feel like I am completely fine with her now. It's been less than a week of playing. Just decay people to green ranks, at most.

  • @truegod_10 said:

There is actually a spot where you can blink down next to the basement and see the underside of the map like this. I found it out while streaming the map in customs looking for glitch spots; I found 4.

I wonder if the basement does not spawn there if that might cause the glitch.

No idea. But it's really frustrating. You can blink back upstairs if you time it well. But I got pulled down under the map 3 times in that one game and then just d/c'ed because I was over dbd at that point.

Never thought I'd see myself wanting a new map disabled, considering how long I wanted a new map to come out.

  • @Soulpaw said:

    hurray, more bugs

Yup. And with that, no more DBD today for me. Had to d/c. Lost a cake because of it. And feel like I can't even play the event on my favorite killer in fear that I'll get the new map.

    Oh well....

EDIT: Also notice the basement in my Screenshot - it's like the Basement bug (which still needs to be fixed) , but just anytime you look at the floor now.

  • Yeah, it's taking awhile for me too. I'm just doing other things while in queue.

  • Honestly the RPD is the most iconic spot in RE. If there were to be any map from the RE franchise, it would either be this or the mansion from RE1.

  • @Pig_Is_Pog said:

during the 4th year i would get like 4 gateaus a bloodwebs now i get 1 5th year cake every 10 or so bloodwebs.

please increase the cake spawn, there genuinely rare.

That was before they made it stackable. When the coding was just 1 cake, they used to make it rain on you.

  • The queue times are actually painful. I'm assuming that it'll go back to normal in a few days and people are just all hyped to turbo farm BP with BBQ.

  • Honestly, all I want out of Anniversary events is a way to easily cap out stuff (Bloodpoints). We got that, so I'm happy. I don't need much more. It's pretty much at the point where even BP are becoming less of a draw because it just ends up maxing out a survivor I'm feeling since all my main killers are set.

  • I don't care. I'll pull up a tab if I know it's over or practice blinking (Nurse main). Those are more worth it than a potential 300 BP.

  • Didn't happen recently (more like 1/2 a year ago). But I think about this game often...

I got body blocked during a loop by a Nancy twice and was downed. So, being the frustrated and spiteful survivor I am, proceeded to farm her when she got hooked. The next time I got hooked, I had a nice twerk dance from her for awhile before she eventually unhooked me. A bit later on in the game, I ran up to her and t-bagged her while she was getting chased and ran off (the killer then hit her).

We both ended up escaping because of a key.

Probably one of the top funniest games I've played.

in what world is the game killer sided at the highest lvl of play. it is more like killer sided at low ranks, killer sided at purp/red ranks, then survivor sided at the highest level. The game only appears to be killer sided sometimes because survivors are straight up bad most of the time.

I think we're thinking of different "highrst lvl of play". If you are in a tournament, it's very survivor sided. Also, if you are verse a sweat SWF (of 3-4 people), then it's very survivor sided. But outside than, it's killer sided. I'm just thinking of being a good rank 1 killer. If you are a good rank 1 killer, you will 3-4k like 75% of your matches. And getting your ######### pushed in happens very rarely, especially compared to (solo) survivor.

The game is very killer sided at the "highest" level. But by highest, I mean just being a rank 1 killer in solo queue and just playing the game.

I do agree with your idea of whose side it is depending on the ranking (, especially with how wonky the rankings are). But I think that getting to rank 1 for the first time and sitting at rank 1 for awhile are two different kinds of rankings. Being a rank 1 survivor for the first time, it'll feel more killer sided (probably?) ...because red rank killers are generally decent or good to very good and solo queue is solo queue. Getting killer to rank 1 for the first time will also feel like you are getting your face pushed in by SWFs all day too. But after you sit there for awhile, you'll see it start to turn and notice that it's just very easy to dominate games as a killer and the game is very killer sided for solo queue play (and even when you get SWFs they generally tend to be 2 mans or 4 mans who are all different skill levels and/or just playing to have a good time with friends, instead of the sweat lords these forums led you to believe)

  • I prestige because it's a way to use bloodpoints and it also feels like a waste to use bloodpoints on a character at level 50, knowing I'll prestige it. So, I just prestiged my favorite characters right away and dealt with the ######### period when I had a mess of perks during that time frame.

  • @Orion said:

You shouldn't have told her that because we don't even know if there will be another free weekend.

I'm sure one will come around eventually, even if it is not during the event.

  • I'm a Killer main and I can recognize that this game is killer sided. It's not an issue with it being "killer mains", but moreso with it being people letting bias cloud their judgement.

The game starts off killer sided when you are new. Then switches to survivor sided. And then eventually goes back to killer sided once you get good at a killer. It's so easy to just smash a game or get at least a 2k every game by playing very fair/giving some (or a lot) of mercy.

And then if you add on all the really strong perks killers have been getting lately, then it's just overkill.

  • @GodDamn_Angela said:

So many Dead Hards. It's jank af and easy to bait out, sprint burst is a lot more annoying if you ask me.

Anyways, I would remove Object of Obsession for obvious reasons. Or Self-Care just because its annoying. Or Iron Will.

For Killers? Stridor if I removed Iron Will. Otherwise, I'd probably remove ... ??? I dunno tbh.

As a Nurse main, Sprint Burst is whatever but Dead hard is such a cuck.

  • @herrik666 said:

Object of Obsession and NOED, both have the exact same issue: they're extremely annoying to deal with

NOED makes the game interesting because usually only bad killers run this. And when you're bad, the game isextremely boring for survivors. At least when NOED pops, it gives you a feeling of something to do instead of just slam gens and let the game end.

I mean not unhooking the Dwight is understandable imo lol

And hook trading without bt is so confusing I don't get why people do it

Points. You get loads of points for unhooking and sometimes people just play for the pips.

Even then, sometimes you don't need to hook trade. There are times (both when im playing killer and survivor) where the unhooking will happen on the edge of the killers terror radius, so obviously the killer will go back really quick. And the unhooker will play immersed af and then the killer is forced to tunnel....like people...please.................

  • @Katie_met said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1844394#Comment_1844394

Item teching is actually so scummy. I just refuse to heal people that do that. And people that farm without bt how can they just not care about unsafe hook rescues lol

I had a Dwight item tech me out of a really good medkit and I refused to get him off hook the entire game because i was so salty.

Farming without BT is debatably scummy, but it's only ok if the teammate is willing to take a protection hit and/or pull killer aggro when they do it. Or it is end game. If we hit that late into the game, i dont mind dying. I just like to play out the full match.

  • @Bwsted said:

You're not tunneling because of DS. You're tunneling because of their attitude by baiting or because you know the DS is gone.

By your own description, you wouldn't even tunnel if it was because you picked up before 1 min. Seems like DS is clearly not the issue.

Also, you're basically admitting that you're playing on easy mode and simply playing with your food. If they gave you a run for your money, would you really not tunnel straight away if there was no obsession? The answer to that question is for yourself.

That's one way to view it, I guess. But I think DS should not be abused like that. When I play survivor, I only proc DS if I am picked up off the floor. I have some survivors who will jump in lockers or sit on gens with me in the area, but chasing their teammate (because I see both of them). And the moment they pull the locker thing, I switch targets because its scummy to me.

  • Don't farm me unless you have BT.

    Don't body block me/sandbag me.

Don't point me out if I am in a locker.

Don't lead the killer to me and keep running to me in an attempt to get him on me and off you.

Don't randomly d/c or die on 1st hook. Have a reason that's obvious to the other survivors (even if it's a questionable reason like loading into a game and seeing its a Freddy/Spirit).

Don't item tech me and then not give the item back. (Goes for grabbing stuff behind the chests too).

Don't let me see you waste a god pallet. If you are in a healthy state, take a hit to preserve shake pallet.

  • @Fruchy said:

Being tunneled out of the game and hopping into the next match is still better than getting slugged all day long.

I could see how some people think that and then by all means jump into that locker or sit on that gen.

But more times than not, these survivors rage in after game chat. And if they are someone running 3-4 meta perks, they are almost 100% going to rage.

  • @Zayn said:

This is how I feel with Blight. Glad you enjoy her!

Yeah, I mean mostly every killer is gonna have a sweaty player.

Not really. There's a difference between trying to win and being sweaty. Most try to win. Sweaty killers are like not as common.

Can’t get adept with iri because of how the chaser emblem works

Don't you just need to kill all 4 survivors with her perks?

  • I've come across some sweaty demos. And have def. smashed more than been smashed by them. But I never really had any toxic ones. And by toxic, I mean actually saying offensive stuff. Tunneling and camping isn't exactly toxic to me.

  • @Phasmamain said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1842215#Comment_1842215

As much as I hate Freddy it is needed to have a killer with a low barrier to entry who can still do well

I agree, I feel like really good killers like this have a place in the game. It just becomes a problem when people are good/get good with them and don't move onto another killer that will make the game less insta-win.

  • @Phasmamain said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1842262#Comment_1842262

Careful with that because it can impact your chaser emblem due to one shot downs. Also people dcing will cause a loss in devout

I don't care about emblems. Even if I downrank, I'll be back at 1 before I know it, especially if I play Nurse lol.

I just want the adept lmao

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1840970#Comment_1840970

I’m fairly experienced to spirit as she’s definitely the killer I’ve put the most hours into. The build I’m currently running is BBQ, whispers, sloppy, and nurses. I refuse to run stridor or ruin/undying on her until the devs give her counterplay that isn’t guessing. I try to not play sweaty and scummy, meaning if I see someone going for the save I’ll almost always go for the person who unhooks and give the person who gets unhooked a chance to play the game. People who are the opposite of that are the reason BT and DS exist.

Yeah, you're the kind of spirit that I would put under "doesn't deserve bm" and people who do it are just dong it out of salt. But trust me, most of the spirits I verse (even though she isn't that common, so it might be skewed in my memory) are not like this. I feel like spirits tend to be very tryhard.

  • @Phasmamain said:

Huntress is a great killer to learn and is very viable in red ranks. Just don’t run iri heads if you want people to not dc

I've been running addon-less. But I'll probably do iri head when I do adept honestly lol...

  • @[Deleted User] said:

I mean, in the hands of a good player who learned how to play every killer well including nurse? Probably Nurse. Once you are good with nurse losing is like....nearly impossible.

Overall; among every player? Probably Spirit or Freddy. Freddy is very easy to play and Spirit's counter play is a coin toss. I wouldn't be surprised if Doctor was pretty far up there too because of his ability to kill all those immersive solo queue players efficiently.

This is true. I'm a good nurse, but not a great/god nurse. And I will lose a game every couple days.

It kind of warps your mentality though ): when I go to play other killers, it's hard to swallow loses because I got so accustom to winning. When I was learning Nurse, I had no qualms playing whatever killer and just letting the match play out.

  • For me, it's not so much the killer or whatever. But the combination of things.

If someone picks Spirit, runs all meta/super strong perks on her, clearly has some experience and plays a bit dickish (even know it's completely valid gameplay that gets "wins"), they 100% deserve some BM.

If it's a baby spirit running super meta perks and playing a bit dickish, I'm okay with that.

If it's an experienced spirit, but they let survivors get saves (despite knowing they'll go to save) and instead patrol gens or something. I'll accept that.

If it's an experienced spirit with super meta perks, I'm okay with my teammates bm'ing her.

If it's an experienced spirit, running meta perks and playing a bit sweaty AND we (survivors) still manage to do decent...Imma BM her.

That's just my philosophy though. I feel like there is only so much of a 'sweat' threshold you can go to until you deserve bm, especially if you are losing despite how hard you are trying. And I expect it both ways. I main Nurse and my perks are pretty strong on her (Whispers, BB&C, Infectious + random perk i feel like) and there are games where I definitely sweat (and ones i dont!). If I'm losing, despite all those odds stacked in my favor, and survivors want to bm- I understand lol.

  • @WTBacon said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1839682#Comment_1839682

I feel like that's due entirely to the game's bad matchmaking.

Solo survivor has rank 1 players who very obviously shouldn't be there. If DbD had a ranking system that actually worked I'm pretty sure the game would be survivor sided.

In part yes, but also the fact that even if everyone is Red Rank, it's still killer sided. The only time it's not killer sided is 4-man sweat squads. And those games are extremely rare. Like legit probably don't even see 1 a week.

  • Honestly, 4k'ing as a killer is easy, even without Ruin+Undying+Tinkerer.

The way I see it is:

When you first start playing the game, it's extremely killer sided. Then when you start getting decent (around first time you hit red ranks and play with people who know what they're doing), it's survivor sided. But when you get extremely good at both roles, it's very killer sided because 9/10 you are versing solo players or duo SWFs (maybe a trio) and even full stacked SWFs are never all good or super sweat squads.

Maybe that's just my experience, but you can get a 4k (or 3k) very easily if you sweat as a killer. And by sweating, I mean playing to get at least 3 killers (which may include things like proxy camping, etc.).

  • @ukenicky said:

Oh yay. I kinda see it as killers version of spine chill which I know is used at all ranks on survivors xD

Spine chill fits a certain kind of playstyle.

BB&C is a must on all killers because it's so strong.

  • I'm okay with map offerings.

I'm not okay with seeing that someone played Haddon field offering, so I crash my game. And that sets off d/c timer....

It's such bullshit when survivors want to send you to an extremely 1 sided map.

  • @ukenicky said:

Survivor - Kindred and or Spine Chill

Killer - Whispers (I'm still new and trying to get better at finding survivors and whatnot so it helps me a lot lol)
