I really only play this game around 11-1 AM EST and I swear the game quality is so poor. If I play killer, I can smash each game without any addon and meme perks because the survivors all, generally, suck (, outside of Friday nights). The same goes for killers at this hour, but at least the survivors off-set the bad killer (and make the game fun). Anyone else notice this? What are good ti16 comments 301 views last activity

Can anyone recommend me some killers that don't need addons (, so I can save my bloodpoints for other characters)? I currently play a lot of Nurse and a good bit of Huntress. I love that both these killers don't need addons and want to keep with this style of killer. 3/4 (, if not more), Blights run Ruin+Undying+Tinkerer (, which is an already abused and unfun combo) and the game just becomes extremely unfun (I'd honestly rather a spirit without stridor than this, but thats personal preference). But what baffles me is that more people on here don't complain about him (or ever). It's always Spirit. I came back to this game for the event and was deranked from 1 all the way to 20 on both killer and survivor. I thought this wasn't a big deal at first because I could fly back up to green ranks in no time (which is kind of true, but it's still a grind). I main Nurse and have a very slug-centered gamestyle. My rule of thumb is to go into the games (with 0 slow down perks or sloppy butcher, at most) and slug and hook people, actively avoiding tunnel (if I have more options than just the person who got unhooked, I'll take them). About a week ago I asked if there was any killer as rewarding as Nurse, and a lot of people on here recommended Huntress. Since then, I've split my time between the two and noticed that I've been playing much more Huntress than Nurse lately. I've been feeling like DS is a mediocre usage of my perk slot lately just because of how uncommon it is to actually get it and a more consistent perk would make up a better usage of this slot. But then most of the games that DS procs, it's absolutely one of the most satisfying things ever because it only procs on tunneling ######### killers (I don't do the locker/gen/whatever bs DS users do). I started out this game by playing Nurse and am just now finding myself getting kind of bored. I want to learn a new killer (or just turn off the game earlier, lol), but I feel kind of spoiled by having learned Nurse first. Is there any killer that is as rewarding as Nurse to play? I'm really interested in this killer, but not sure I want to go through the hell of learning her. Right now, I only really play Nurse and Legion. But Legion gets boring after a few games and Nurse can only be played during certain hours (SWF times or more likely to get red rank survivors only times), or else I just steam-roll (which is extremely boring for me). A streamer I like always talks about how a lot of rank 1 killers get there simply because the undying + ruin combo carry them to that spot. And I wonder if that is possible. I play with that combo a lot on Nurse when I play during (PC) SWF red-rank (mostly) primetime and notice it does put in a lot of work (the games are much slower). I honestly feel like this game is geared towards young people who have buttloads of free time on their hands and completely neglects the rest of the community with the grind. I was unable to finish the last rift and this one looks like it is going to end the same way. I'm currently level 36, despite playing DBD in all my free time. I just played a game against another 4man-SWF. When I saw OoO in the game, I figured that this was just going to be another toxic-sweat match. But when I watched back the replay of the game, they had a lot of fun and even laughed at stuff normal people rage at. I wish more SWF were like this, honestly. I know a vocal minority is complaining about the "killer lock". But I just want to express how excited I am for this change and see it as a huge improvement to the current system in place. I got to red ranks using only Nurse and find myself playing the killer side much less because of this. Everybody constantly brings us the issue that the bloodweb/perk grind is way too tedious at this point, perhaps because it is a dated system. As someone who began this game a little over a month ago, I agree with this point. But I know that changes to this system need to be made incrementally, as it would be a lot of work to uphaul the current bloodweb in place. I started this game when the Silent Hill chapter came out and immediately bought all the DLC. I fell in love with this game and played it religiously over my break. This anniversary event helped make the grind feel a lot less like a hinderance with the cakes making games a guaranteed +104% all the time, and sometimes you'd get the blessed +500% boost. Crossplay will bring lower queue times, due to a higher pool of players. I'm sure this is one of the main reason BHVR does not alert killers to SWF in lobbies. I managed to hit red ranks and it's just too much for me to handle. One of the biggest problems is every game feels like it is verse 4 man SWF (which I confirmed through looking at every person with twitch tv in their name and seeing its a 4 man). I started playing Dead by Daylight last month with the arrival of the Silent Hill chapter (and the steam sale). Since then, I've been pretty no-lifing this game and played about 200 hours and reached rank 1 survivor and rank 4 killer.
