Bruh.

I would probably use Desperate Measures instead.
-
It's Nurse. There's no counterplay. Just hope that she's bad.

So should we remove Shift teching from survivors? Just to compensate the "Exploit"
What's that?

How many more seconds does thanataphobia add on to gen speed?
I don't know the exact numbers but it can't be that much. Last time I checked, you would need like Thanatophobia AND Dying Light for it to really do something.
-
It's mostly the players that get to you. And I'm not gonna ask you to quit. Just play less, like shorter sessions.
-
Just pick whatever killer you're best with and 4 gen regression perks.
-
It's too bad I never see that killer then.
-

If the twins or any killer has thanataphobia then it's a permanent debuff to gen speeds with no effort on the killers part snd hinders my team. Because of this I don't think I can ever use No mither.
Thanatophobia does pretty much nothing.
-
Flicks are exploits in this game. It should be removed, and so should all the other killers'. You're not supposed to have that kind of turning with those killers' abilities.
-
That's pretty much my idea as well.
-
It's a good perk if you know what you're doing and get a favorable killer. Put Dead Hard and Resilience on for maximum value with this perk. Just play safer and sit on gens, and you'll be out those gates in no time.

Goddammit.
This stupid forum just deleted everything I just typed!!!
Heres the short version.
- its supposed to make the game harder if you find the game too easy.
- Take protection hits for teammates that are tunnelled. The killer can’t ignore you on the ground if they don’t want you reviving. This can save a team mates life.
- No blood means easily sneak away from an unhook.
- No Mither is the ONLY exception where in the dying state you should ALWAYS attempt to crawl away first. If a killer realises their mistake and returns for you, no blood and reduced grunting means you’re harder to find. Crawl, hide, THEN recover.
You should always recover before you crawl. Does it really make you quiet on the ground though? I thought being a silent slug is supposed to be a bug, and not intended.
-
It can feel useless, but it does more than you think. If you want to injure someone as Legion, they will get injured because he is so fast in his power and he can valut over pallets and windows, he's pretty much inescapable. The tradeoff is that he can't down with his power. It is best used when there's more than 1 survivor in 1 place so you get multiple injures. If you get all 4 injured with it, you're sitting pretty. Chasing someone injured means they only have to make 1 mistake in chase to go down instead of 2, which is a huge difference.
-
It shows a lack of respect and sportsmanship that, let's be honest, would never fly in the real world. And these are real people behind the screens so it's not that far from reality as many people make it seem. I don't think it's right to act toxic, which is what tbagging is, just because you won. That's "might makes right" in video games form. You may not have even played well, knowing this game, but you somehow won and for some reason that's not enough for you; you have to put salt in the wound and assert your dominance.
Going up against people like that all the time wears and tears at your mental state while playing this game. This game is addictingly fun, but when others use it as a tool for online bullying, it becomes a toxic relationship for that person. We hate the game so much but we keep coming back.
It should never have gotten to this point. I shouldn't have to explain the thought processes involved, because this behavior shouldn't be happening widescale like it is. If you think I'm acting a tad dramatic, that's fine. I choose not to be someone who excuses unnecessary rudeness, or who belittles someone just because they lost 1 match.
-
Anything I can come up with.
-
I have, but what makes it worse is their inconsistency. One match, chill as can be. The next, sweatiest of the sweats. The next, someone DCs and it's a 3v1 from the get go. The next, a SWF death squad. With MMR, we'll get people our own level regularly.
-
I don't know why event offerings have to be disabled at all outside of their event. Sure, make them stop appearing in the bloodweb, but at least let us use them! Is it really that hard to code in the petal gens/hooks or the red envelope bloodpoint bonus? It was there at one time, so it can be again. Why make us wait a year or 2 to use our own stuff again? It's just bp going down the drain, making the grind even worse.

Changing topics I see.

No. Another Nurse is the last thing this game needs.

Yeah a Nurse thats good is far worse than a spirit thats great. At least pallets and vaults can avoid a hit against Spirit.
Hag all depends on if the player knows whether to bind teleport to mouse wheel. If not shes ok because you get a reaction time, if they do know to do that there you get hit the second she teleports theres really no way to avoid it.
SWF can destroy Hag if 1 survivor is always forcing her to chase and tripping her traps. But yes, I think her macro tp is stupid as it even can counter that strategy.
-
Everybody wants something like this in the game, so why isn't it? Too consumer friendly.
-
Just tough it out until you get better with her. It's worth it. Too worth it. You can't be beat when you're good with Nurse.
-
I want MMR on so I get competent teammates in solo, and not rank 5s who play like rank 20s. You will see as killer though, at the top of the MMR, that survivors will usually dominate. 4-man SWF is gonna be the highest MMR survivors all the time, because SWF gives way too many advantages. But at least the devs will see that and maybe act on it. The whole point of DBD MMR is to get more accurate information on how to balance the game.

@Dizzy1096 said:
The only reason Nurse is let off the hook now is because you don’t see them much anymore. No point hating something you see once in a blue moon, and thats just Nurse in general, most you see will be bad nurses so a good one is even rarer.
People used to absolutely despise Nurse when she was more popular. People also didnt hate spirit as much before everyone in the game started using her.
Its like Hag, mousewheel teleports are busted and if she chooses to play campy its mindnumbingly dull but not too many people complain because nobody ever sees them.
Nurse is way more annoying to face than any other killer to me. She makes Hag and Spirit look like bottom tiers. Hag has to place traps to tp, and Spirit loses sight. Nurse just blinks through all her problems.
-
Nurse takes no skill. Just have a mouse and keyboard, or have OP add-ons.
-
Hatch itself is the bigger issue, not keys. "Oh, I'm the last survivor! Guess I get out for free!" It's so stupid. Could you imagine something like that in any other game? Keys are just a 2nd chance mechanic within an undeserved win mechanic. "I didn't do the gens but I press this button even after the killer has closed the hatch, and I escape!" Hatch grabbing returning would do wonders for this game. And for those saying the killer would just camp it... You know you can just finish the last gen instead, right? The killer's camping, so make use of that wasted time.
-
Cold like Minnesota!
-
I thought Power struggle would be overpowered but it's garbage and nobody uses it. Same with Soul Guard.
-
Despite being in the top 3 killers alongside Nurse, Spirit is nowhere near as strong as Nurse. The gap between low tier and top tier killers is the same wideness of gap between Spirit and Nurse. Again, I don't care if it takes longer or "more effort" to get good with Nurse as opposed to Spirit. That doesn't negate that Nurse is OP because of her gameplay design alone: teleporting through obstacles that all other killers have to go around. Spirit has to lose an entire sense, sight, just to get to the survivors, while relying on another sense, sound, which is unreliable in this game especially due to broken as hell Iron Will. And that's an ability that simply makes you walk fast. Nurse's movement is pretty much instant from one place to another, and she doesn't get blinded to be able to do it. Spirit has so many counters it's unbelievable. Nurse has none at all besides hoping the killer misblinks.

What is a strong Killer for you? For over 2 years the Killers which came into this game were at least decent.
Ghostface, Demo, Oni (very strong), Deathslinger, Pyramid Head (very strong), Blight (very strong) were more than decent. Even Plague is not terribly weak. Twins might be an exception.
If you are looking for a Killer with the strength of Nurse, this will never happen. And should never have happened in the first place.
Agreed. Nurse is broken af and would never be added today. I hope they never add a killer as game breaking as her into this game again. And if that means the devs playing it safe when considering overly strong new killer powers, so be it.
-
@NoOneKnowsNova said:
What happened to Blight? Is he not considered strong anymore?
He slides. That's what's wrong with him. And his perspective is way too low to the ground. Thankfully he's having both those things fixed in the next chapter.
-
You pretty much can't use your power on that map.
-
If they don't strafe, shoot them. If they do strafe, aim to where they keep strafing to in order to hit them, or just hold forward to gain distance on them. There will be some insane shots you can make like through tiny gaps but they won't get you the down, so only go for those to get a survivor from healthy to deep wound.
-
No way. Their chance was trying to find the hatch before I did because I didn't slug, and they failed so they don't get another chance. The DC is already hurting my pip points, and a hatch escape will only make it worse.

these threads are a little early, aren't they?
Lol. I think your image failed to load.

He's gonna be a noob crusher, because survivors don't even know how to dodge somehow, but what killer isn't a noob crusher anyway?
-
It is OP because it's literally you playing killer "1 hit, 2 hit, down. Oh no wait, they had that one perk. Guess I need to hit them 3 times now." It's a third health state in a nutshell.

99% of Survivor perks don't require any skill to use either.
Dead Hard is just the next thing to complain about after DS.
If it somehow gets nerfed it'll be on to the next perk.
Never ends.
Honestly after DS and Dead Hard, I don't have anymore survivor perks to complain about. Maybe 4-man SWFs abusing Adrenaline but that's about it.
Edit: Oh, and Iron Will because it's a glorified sound bug where you make no noise.
-
This challenge is stupidly hard to complete. You can be at it all night and not complete it.
-
@Superyoshiegg said:
That challenge doesn't sound that difficult? I haven't reached it yet, but by the wording, you don't even need to heal a Survivor from 0 to full, and just need to pick them in general.
Run We're Gonna Live Forever for the extra healing speed, and maybe combine that with Botany Knowledge, We'll Make It and a tricked out Medkit.
Shouldn't take more then a single match really, unless the Killer is very commited to picking every Survivor up the moment they go down. In that case, that's just bad luck
We're all getting bad luck then. Not a single soul is slugging for some reason.

My only gripe about the new killer regarding appearance is his run cycle looks kind of bad. The clothing looks fine in all honesty and really just look at the cosmetics you can equip in DBD. Also for those saying visually he's not fitting they've not seen enough horror flicks. You can make almost anything work if the character is made well either through writing or acting (In the case of a game I suppose how well he's designed?).
Regarding the name itself - How is he a trickster? Where are the tricks? Don't say his perks because that's lame. I guess you could ultimately say being able to land bullseyes with his knives but really come on now.
He does knife tricks, and tricks with the baseball bat too.

Slashers can have bright clothes and a flamboyant personality. It's a nice contrast to the norm, but it doesn't detract from the violent, sadistic psychopathic part. It highlights it.
Seriously, this is literally the most psychotic and dark killer we have ever gotten. He recorded his victims screams and put them in his songs. He tortured people for hours on end. He was welcomed into the fog when he created an orchestra by torturing his bosses. His fabulous nature clashes beautifully with his absolute pitch-darkness.
Clown was also quite colory compared to all the previous killers.

I wonder if they think it would be too strong for someone to save Main Event for some particular situation. Like, I guess, if you hosed everyone in the basement or something? But I agree that having it go off randomly when there's no one near you seems pointless. I'd be curious to hear from the devs what the intended gameplay is -- like, are they thinking you'd only throw your knives at a moment when it's advantageous for you for Main Event to trigger?
They're stupid if they think that Main Event in basement would be OP, yet Leatherface being able to down all 4 survivors with 1 swing of his chainsaw, while in the basement or elsewhere, is fine.
-
Or maybe it's because he does tricks with his knives.
-
I try to tell my SWF and non-SWF teammates not to act toxic.
-
I do like him. There's no killer quite like him in this game.
-
I like the idea of them bringing over killers and monsters from awful and unknown horror movies, given the antagonist has some cool abilities to work with.

His power-up isn't on demand either, it goes away after a couple of secs if you don't use it immediately. I'm fine with his power as-is, but some of the limits they place on him feel unnecessary.
I made a post about this is well. He should be able to choose when to activate his special ability, similar to Oni's.
