  • It's not that bad at running most games i have. But dbd in particular always struggles to get to at least 30 fps. And to answer your question yes my pc is on the lower end.

  • 20200104191040_1.jpg

This is what my game looks like on pc and i get a solid 20 fps. The game has pretty bad optimisation. So if your pc is not the best like you said you would probably have a hard time running it. But console is not much better ether.

  • OMG that looks amazing great job man that's a work of art. Hope the devs see it.

  • The only advice i can give you is to try and 360 the hit it is really effective against oni. But other than that try to stay in places where there is a window/pallet nearby. Or a place that makes it difficult to reach you while blood fury is active. So when you hear that huge roar try staying at places where he cant just dash and insta down you from across the map. And if you get in a chase try to always have a wall between you and him at a loop to avoid being hit. If your caught in the open all you can really do is try to 360 the hit and try to get to another loop. Hope this helps :)

  • I don't like the idea of first person lockers. Lockers are weak enough already without any perks. Like head on or inner strength. I would like a full first person game mode though. Where you would do everything in first person even chases. They could give survivors similar animations to the legion. Like the pallet and window vaulting animations. Plus you would be able to see your legs and arms while running and doing things to add to the immersion. What do you think?

  • @Ripugnante said:

As the title suggests, I propose adding a cooldown of 2s or more to the Huntress from when he pulls a hatchet to when he can use the basic attack.

    What do you think?

    He?

  • Ruin is still good actually after the nerf/buff it rewards the killer for doing their job better. The only problem i have with it is it's still a hex perk.

  • Hag cause i would love for her to get her own music and also to rework the swamp to make it look more spooky

  • I play on Xbox and PC but my PC is kinda potato. So i play mostly on Xbox so i can enjoy the better graphics.

    It's such BS.

The point of his marking is SUPPOSED TO BE that he stalks you. You don't know he's there.

So how is it you can run from him for 3 minutes, drop a pallet on him and while you're staring him in the face he marks you?

I have tried EVERYTHING to break the mark. Looking at him with his face center screen. A little up to the left, a little up to the right, down, side to side. HOW THE HELL DO YOU BREAK HIS MARK?

I have stared at ghostface for MINUTES and nothing happens.

And he marks you WAY too fast and WAY too easily.

9/10 times a ghostface marks me is when I drop a pallet and we look at eachother waiting to see if he's gonna break it or run around.

Takes him about 3 seconds to mark me. And HE SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO MARK YOU ONCE CHASE HAS BEGUN. That is a total violation of the purpose of marking.

Basically ghostface is a free one hit down every time just like leatherface.

It used to be the chainsaw could only go in the direction you swing it in.

Now, in one swing of the saw, he can chase you down a wall, around the corner, and back in the other direction and still down you.

    It's ABSURD

I have not seen a leatherface use his sledgehammer in months. Every single hit is a one hit down.

    No cool down. No wait.

And as long as he's within ten feet of you, he's automatically going to get you no matter what you do.

You SHOULD be able to duck a chainsaw swing. You can't outrun it and now that he can change directions mid swing (which is a total violation of the law of physics)

there is simply NO WAY to evade a chainsaw swing.

It's reminiscent of the trappers traps.

13 tries and I couldn't break free. When I stepped in the trap, the trapper was hooking someone. After that, he chased someone else, hit them, chased them more, hit them again, picked them up, carried them to a hook, hooked them, and walked all the way across the map to me and I STILL HADNT BROKEN FREE.

The traps should be an advantage, not a guaranteed hook. It tells him where you are AND injures you so you're a one hit down. THAT IS ENOUGH. Holding you there that long is absurd.

Even with add-ons, 5 tries should be the max it EVER takes to free yourself. 1-2 normally and 3-5 with add-ons.

I am a killer main and I'm DISGUSTED by how OP the killers are. I don't play survivor as much but when I do, I'm also disgusted by how dirty they play. Camping, tunneling, resorting to exploits.

It's shameful. As a killer main, there IS a code of ethics. It's basic sportsmanship.

    And it's easy to remember.

What is the goal of the game?

If you answered winning, you're a dbag. The goal of the game is fun.

Dbd is 5 people working together to have fun. If you put your selfish need to win ahead of the prime directive, you suck all the fun out of the game and ruin everyone's game.

    Stop being a dbag.

    Play to maximize fun.

That way no one cares if they win or lose because they had fun.

That's why I get thank you notes from people I've killed. Because I give them a good time.

I don't have a wounded ego and a chip on my shoulder that makes me want to ruin other people's fun.

    And I still get 4k.

I just do it while upholding the basic tenants of sportsmanship.

And since I USUALLY get about 100,000BP per match. I'm obviously doing something right.

    You should try it sometime.

I agree with most things you said. Like the trappers stupid rng mechanic and ghostface's reveal bugs. But leatherface is not op and is far from it. It does suck when you get chainsawed by him but there are plenty of counters to prevent that from happening. Like looping efficiently forcing a normal hit or being stealthy and prevent being caught. play leatherface and you will know what i mean.

Edit: Also there is no way you get 100k blood points in every round especially as survivor.

I didn't camp the Hatch we were both running to it. I frenzied there and stood over it so they couldn't jump in and then closed it.

Camping was never brought up one so I have no clue where you got that from.

Imagine being so one-sided that you literally make a scenario in your head with no proof whatsoever and then get offended by it.

It sounded like you were camping hatch because the way he explained it in chat sorry for the misunderstanding. I'm not one sided i play both sides equally but enjoy playing survivor more. even though his behaviour was uncalled for. I tried to justify him a little bit because i understood why he was angry. still it does not make up for the way he acted towards you though.

  • Camping hatch like that is a really scumbag move though. It removes all possible escape chances the survivor has. And camping in general is a d**k move. So i will agree that people with your play style do actually ruin the game for others. No one likes camping it's super boring. For killer and survivor.

5 gens can be done in a single chase if you coordinate in pre game lobby lmao, hence why toolboxes are coming back into the meta. 131 seconds of pure BING BING BING BING BING

The average chase for good killers last about 40 seconds if i'm correct. So the killer still has time to go to gens after hooking and apply pressure. Plus one survivor will have to unhook which is 2 survivors that are not on gens. Plus the killer probably found another survivor in that time and got them off a gen and downed and hooked them in about 50 secs. Then the killer goes to patrol gens and repeat the cycle. If they are a good killer which in most cases they aren't. Because matchmaking is f**ked and rank 20 killers get rank 1 swf with toolboxes. Same with potato survivor teammates like i said in my other comment. Matchmaking is why the game is mostly unbalanced right now. And the devs have no idea how to fix it because they don't get accurate results on average kill rates and stuff like that. That and also because they dont play their own game lol.

  • @Waffleyumboy said:

Optimal killer versus optimal swf the winner is not always survivor. The outcome of a match is determined entirely based on killer and map at that point. Sure most killers are weak and most maps are strong for survivors but that doesn't mean the game is survivor sided. This mindset is unfounded and outdated. I don't think killer will ever be stronger tbh. 2 escapes for survivors is not a win despite how bad the pipping system is.

I strongly agree with this. Killers can dominate any team if they are good enough. While survivors chance or escaping is mostly Rng around bad teammates and what killer it is. Don't get me started on addons and perks. moris are stupid op and ruin the game for all the survivors. And before you say keys are bad you have to complete 5 gens to get everybody out 4 to get 3 out and so on which is pretty balanced.

  • She's in a pretty good spot right now. The only thing bad is the RNG of her traps.

  • Clown his power is really lackluster he should have a second ability

i honestly feel like the survivors do need more. I think thats why the game brings out the toxic-ness in people. Because survivors only have 1 thing to do. UNLESS they want to prevent noed then they have totems. But other than that, its just holding down M1 either until you're found or the gens done, then you move on to the next one.

Im not saying add a crap ton of stuff, but something to more to make it so survivors don't get as bored, I mean there are people that stay hidden cause thats just how they play and that's fine. but half the time I run out just to be chased for something different to do other than hold M1 lmfao.

Yeah basically everything you do that helps you escape as survivor requires you to hold M1 for a long period of time. And watch a progress bar fill up. Very exciting game play lol.

    Edit

Maybe they should change the way gens are done like add a new quick time event or make it so you have to find gas or something to start repairing the gen.

Are we doing some sort of auction "who did more rage posts" now?

Doctor rework is a slight buff, but initial patch notes and bugs in the PTB made it look like a nerf.

Ruin did not get buffed. Its true, killers didnt like ruin, but thats because gens early game are going too fast, not everyone wants to play Billy all the time to counter that, so they were forced to use ruin. Ruin was the only early game slowdown perk, now its gone, but gen speeds are the same. People cleansing ruin was not a problem, that little slowdown was enough.

New ruin doesnt do its job either, it rewards you for pressuring gens, but it means its only good mid game, and by that time its cleansed. Not to mention that it COMPLETLY BLOCKS use of Pop Goes the Weasel, Surge, or any regression perks. Its synergy with Surveillance is cool, but once again: it can be cleansed and doesnt do ######### early game.

In my opinion ruin is fine now. Making it a non hex perk would make it too strong. The current version is a hex perk and meets the requirements of being high risk high reward. Which is why they are hex perks. Gen-rush is it's own problem that a perk can't fix. There needs to be a second objective or something that makes survivors do more in trials. It would also make it less boring to play survivor because of M1 simulator. And would also give the killer more time to ya know KILL!

Dude you are mental. Survivors are op. Well wouldnt say op now but still they are stronger than killers. Even with solo or swf they are strong. Mainly reasons before killer lobby was so horrible. Now most killers are playing survivors because of nerf on ruin. Who cares, i dont use that trash perk anyway. And killers are mostly the ones that arent toxic. I play both but main killer, and survivors are the one bitching and complaining and being toxic. Imagine having fun in dbd and someone says rekt ez win. When i am trying to have fun. Guess what, i showed him and his swf team when im not trying to have fun. It did took a while because every map is favored for survivors, except 2 or 3. Because well those maps are stupid. No matter what survivor are stronger, but the game mechanics is stupid as well. Tbh they shouldve never touch pallets. It was fine before except the vacuum.

Killers whine just as much as survivors bud it goes both ways. And ruin was buffed not nerfed now it rewards good killers for keeping survivors off of gens. And killers say toxic stuff in chat as well like gg ez and get rekt noob when they win. You just saying all this proves that your a entitled killer main. you say one side is more toxic than the other when both are just as bad. Also solo survivor can be a nightmare and very frustrating experience due to potato teammates. P.s lobby times are long cause rank and matchmaking are f**ked right now and have been for a while. Rank literally does nothing.

Its incredible really. You have to be so blinded by bias to not see the massive amount of nerfs survs have gotten. Many very healthy nerfs. No outrage from survs. Killers will never ever be happy and will never ever address their own issues. They aggressively justified face camping with traps under hooks and body blocking the basement stairs for easy hostage scenarios. They will forever play the victim card bc the game USED to be super surv sided. That has changed. But theyll never accept it. Killers never listen to survs. They only care about their side. That is clear.

This is how i feel about the game balance right now. Survivors have been nerfed a good amount of times. Most of which were good changes to help balance the game. But as soon as a killer gets touched for any reason everybody on the forums go crazy. While survivors post about 2-3 threads about nerfs on their behalf and that's it. The doctor rework for example which is clearly a buff is apparently a nerf ??? Same with ruin it was finally buffed from it's old state which killers had wanted for ages. Because with old ruin good survivors could power through it if they hit greats. Which made it horrible in red ranks not to mention it could be cleansed. But with new ruin it rewards killers for doing there job of pushing survivors off of gens. But no it's still a nerf because the devs said it was to make it less frustrating for survivors. Which killers could take out of context and use it to criticise the devs so killers could get even more buffs.

I'm just waiting for Xbox dedicated servers so I can just play Huntress and see what happens.

Spoiler alert you will throw hatchets that should hit but go right through survivors. And you will throw hatchets that should've hit but miss. Like i said in my original post hit boxes and everything else related to connection are 10x worse. But good luck anyway i play a little bit on console myself as peer 2 peer is better right now in my opinion. But i have most of my cosmetics and perks on pc. So i can't survive and kill in style :(

  • @goat10em said:

I keep saying this...as someone who plays both equally, gens are way too fast. WAY too fast. But they are also the most boring, mindless objective in any game i've ever played so I absolutely do not want the time increased on them. Either the objective needs changed completely or a secondary objective needs added imo.

    this +1

  • @arslaN said:

Hit detection is usually killer sided rather than survivor sided

I was about to comment the exact same thing.

  • @ASAPTurtle said:

Despite all the nerfs survivors have got to balance them out there still not good enough for some people? What about Ebony Moris, Annoying Add-ons/Builds, Scummy Playstyles, Hitboxes, inconsistent windows and pallets. Those are just some of the things that are still in this game that survivors face yet they keep playing, but one killer perk gets reworked and everyone goes berserk.

    this

  • @goat10em said:

I don't know if there is anyone that gives this game more ######### than I do. But I honestly don't see all the fuss about dedicated servers. Hit boxes are crap. They were before dedicated servers, they are after. And this one I can't stress enough, IF YOU ARE IN CHASE AND DO ANYTHING OTHER THAN A FAST VAULT YOU RISK BEING HIT ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE VAULT. It's the way it is. I even watch streamers have it happen to them every single day. Happens to them as survivor, happens for them as killer. Yet every time it happens they act surprised and say "wow thanks dedicated servers" PS4 just got servers yesterday and it did not change this mechanic what so ever. Fast vault, or risk hits.

Dedicated servers also screw the killer over just as bad. I am constantly missing hits i should get and also get teleported back to where i was a few seconds ago. Powers take a while to activate sometimes i have to spam the button multiple times for it to even work. Hooking, breaking pallets/generators, vaulting and picking up survivors all feel inconsistent now. The game is seriously f**ked up right now and basically unplayable for both sides. :(

  • @Dehitay said:

You do realize incredibly few survivors would opt into this which would mean just a ton of killer sitting around waiting for matches that are going to take hours to start. The only good reason survivors have for opting in at this point is the fact that for some stupid reason the Huntress' hatchet detection is killer client based rather than server based.

Now that i think about it more putting peer 2 peer back into the game would just make finding lobby's take even longer like you said but thanks for the feedback. Maybe the devs should just disable servers until they get optimised and fixed. At least the game would be playable then.

  • @thenegativone said:

    *their

  • um are you blind there was 3 gens remaining when Monto closed the hatch i agree that gens are done to fast though. This just shows that none of the staff know how play the game or how to balance the game. Mathew cote should make all the staff play the game at least once a week so they can have a idea what balance really is and so they understand how the game works.

Seems like not many Survivors are playing this game due to the constant Nerfs. (At least this is what Killer Players always claim why Survivor Queues are that long)

    On a more serious note:

What Rank are you playing? Especially low Rank Killer can take a while.

Also: Currently is double BP, more Players tend to play Killer during that time, because Killers get more BP (in general and because of BBQ).

Rank 18 i just got back into the game from a 3 month break

    Why are there still killer mains complaining about gen speed completion when we, as killers, have at our disposal;

    Hex huntress lullaby

    Sloppy butcher

    Pop goes the weasel

    Surge

    Overcharge

    Thanatophobia

    Dying light

    Etc.

I'm a killer main and TBH I believe that based on objective completion, dbd is balanced, since killers have so many things at their disposal to slow the game down just a little bit

we got hex ruin to slow the game down just a little bit

  • @Tr0g said:

Survivors are OP, that's why few people play killer, that's why your queue times are long. You losing so often is just you being bad. Killers need a buff so people want to play them more.

I am sick of entitled killer mains always saying this sh*t it's not true. Survivors lose so often because there is nothing we can do to counter what killers do. Killers have been buffed to the point where survivor is near impossible to play right now. Unless you play swf which good killers can still demolish if they play right not to mention most bugs in this game favour killers over survivors. Killers just need to stop corrupting this game by complaining and just git gud and accept that wins are not just handed to them on a silver platter.

I understand you want to be kind and I'll keep that in mind while I'm writing this to also be kind

I hope you understand I rarely play killer, and I don't care about the 4k most of the time. And I understand the frustration with noed and camping. It's similar how some killers are frustrated with certain tiles, BT and DS. I have my opinions on these perks but I didn't want to put them all in a singular thread.

Offering solutions to things are what make the game better most of the time, and allow for discussions on what is the best course of action.

Thanks for being nice. Like i said i didn't want to be mean to anyone. I was just a bit angry and needed to vent. I love playing dbd but the stress it gives me combined with the stress from work makes me get so angry. And i'm a very calm person most the time and don't get angry but this game just gets to me somehow. Honestly with over 1000hrs on this game i still wouldn't know how to balance the game or how to make perks balanced. And it's great that community members like you are suggesting ideas like this to make the game better for everybody.

  • no just deal with the stun survivors have been nerfed enough already. I'm sorry that you cant get a 4k every game because just maybe you were not skilled enough. The survivors did all the gens before you could kill them and then opened the gates and did all the work to get out. But no killers want even more ways to get second chances. As if noed was not enough killers can do the d**k move and camp as well. I'm sorry for being upset but killers cant just complain and get everything survivors have nerfed to the ground just like survivors cant complain to get everything killers have nerfed as well. P.s Im not trying to be mean to anyone i just wish the game was balanced around both sides and everybody no matter what role they play could have fun and enjoy the game.

I'd give him an ability where he can send out a remote controlled bee swarm, he would remain stationary if the swarm hits you, you're exposed for 25 seconds this also transports him to your location 5 meter's away. The power would go on cooldown for 60 seconds.

I wonder how candy man would look in dbd ?

  • @Jed_Olsen said:

You're deluded, survivors get nerfed in every patch. Killers are rarely looked at.

I play both ways I'm not a survivor main, I'm just seeing it as it is

    This is true +1

  • Im a survivor main and in my opinion killer is more relaxing for me. Because as a survivor you have to use teamwork to escape i always play solo and my teammates are mostly garbage even at rank 1. But as killer you don't have to count on teammates to hook save you or do gens or to not get downed in the first few seconds of the match.

  • Self care cause you get infinite charges so its good for solo survivors witch i am.

  • No keys are fine the way they are. For 4 survivors to get out though the hatch all gens need to be done so they deserve the escape. Keys are balanced the way they are. The only nerf that i would give to keys if they needed nerfing would be a 2 second action of putting the key in the hatch and jumping in.

  • I just realized that i voted for the wrong side lol i was trying to vote for killers are more powerful. Well that's embarrassing.

  • @beatddb said:

I keep reading it all over the forums: "NOED is such a crutch perk because it rewards the killer for being bad", and I believe this can't be further from the truth.

You, as a killer, can play good and still have the 5 gens completed, specially if you're using low-tier characters.

NOED doesn't rewards the killer for playing bad, it penalizes bad survivor gameplay.

Another thing some people have been asking is for a totem counter on the HUD, this wouldn't just be a big nerf to NOED but also a buff to gens. Because if the counter reachs zero, no one will spend time searching for totems and they instead will do gens. And we have enough of gens speed complaints already right?

NOED is not a crutch perk nor an OP one, just cleanse the totems. :)

Noed is not clutch but it does reward bad play. Think about it if you are a good killer you would kill all the survivors before the last gen popped. But if you play badly and they do get done noed can get you a free kill without earning it. It also punishes survivors for doing there only objective btw totems are not objectives there just for bloodpoints and hex perks. You should not have to cleanse totems every round to avoid the 50% chance of there being noed at the end. I do not think a totem counter would be good because it would nerf other hex perks. I think noed should have a 2 minute timer that when runs out will stop the Insta down effect but keep the speed boost.

    Nope.

I supported this company with purchasing dlc/skins even gifiting dlc to friends who miss out etc.. f2p simply does not belong into games where I already pay for the content.

It is concerning that most people do not have a problem with it, stating you save money or you get your money back. Both cases are wrong, you spend your money for AC a worthless ingame currency. Ingame currencies have no other reason to exist but to delude the player, make them not think about money and how much they actually spend on a skin or whatever.

It is no coincedence that the rift pass can be leveled up with AC as well, as soon as you are unable to play, due to unforeseeable reasons you will lose that money or even invest more to get the everything out of it.

It is sad that they resort to f2p stuff which does not belong here and makes me worried about the future of dbd and where this could lead too. As I have no idea how much further they want to explore f2p mechanics.

    This

  • Yea I have it on pc and it runs really bad but my pc is also kinda potato so it's not entirely the games fault but it should run better anyway.

  • I used an app called tap that is like an app store and you can search up dbd and participate in the beta but I don't know if you can get it on iOS.
