I've been playing him a bit but I'm alternating my bottle usage. I'm doing zero tunneling or camping, and just generally avoiding cheap tactics overall. But I'm also putting zero effort forth and currently my stats say 65% kill rate, so pretty average. Now put him in the hands of someone who doesn't play like me and cares about 4ks.
My last few survivor Clown matches have been terrible as all the new Clowns are starting to get a better hang of being a human steamroller. I don't run any chase/speed perks and I have zero hope if he catches me in the open. Most aren't using pink bottles at all, only yellow. A lot of them are running Brutal Strength so even predropping barely slows them. I was the last one in a match against him yesterday and he, of course, found the hatch before me. Getting the gate open without any opening speed bonus perks was impossible with how fast he was able to patrol the gates.
The Clown's theme music is one of my favs and I've always thought his design was pleasantly intimidating. But now I hear that music and I know I'm screwed, unless I land some teammates who are chase pros with metallic perks. I'm doing okay stealthing around him but being the last to die doesn't make me feel any better.

Consider also that some survivors are smart about BBQ. It's such a popualr perk that I just assume killers are using it (I often use it too). When I see someone is about to get hooked I either position myself behind the gen so the killer doesn't pick me up or, if I'm not on a gen, I go in a locker. BBQ is always on my mind as survivor.
I often run Nowhere to Hide when I run BBQ. Gives me extra range.
-
My current issue is that this crazy fast Flash-like, virus-infested superhuman is currently slower than an overweight, wheezing alcoholic serial killer and that feels lore inaccurate.
In all seriousness, Wesker, based on his character, should have way better mobility, if nothing else. That's always seemed odd to me.

Sounds like the first time I played Sadako, was just trying to figure out her teleporting and how her condemned mechanic worked. The team I was against loved doing Video City runs, so I hardly had TV's to teleport to, so the one kill I managed to get was because a survivor got cockey (or perhapse it was out of pity I have no idea lol) held onto their tape for far too long and I was able to condem kill them. Similar reaction to you, they were like high prestige with a P100 Kate, P69 Dwight (who I moried), P75 Ace and P95 Mikeala. My eyes were just O__O "how, did I get here?" Granted, I had been playing for over a year at that point, but I wasn't a regular DbD player (like once or twice a week at the time) and had been bouncing between Wraith and Trickster before I decided to try and play Sadako so two completely different playstyles and I still managed to get a 1K.
Then fast-forward to a couple of years to days ago (lol) and this crap still happens, I'm very new to Ghoul so therefore not every good. Have been practising in Customs just to get a feel for his power and the limitations. I take him into a live game for the first time, and I manage to get a 1K because the survivors, who were just better than me, messed up in the EGC. So then the next game, I got shoved in front of three very new "I just got out of the tutorial" survivors, and one survivor who was clearly teaching one, if not all three, how to play. I just *could not* bring myself to play normally at all because of how basic the mistakes they were making were. No joke, I didn't even bother using the Kagune outside of just patrolling around the map.
I had to turn the game off after that match because the MMR is just that screwy some nights.
Yeah I'd honestly rather get flashlight clicked and teabagged than smash new players. I'd rather be frustrated than feel terrible. They aren't even learning anything from it. They have no idea what's happening.
I quickly got a 4k on that Trapper one to just clean up the mess and felt so gross (one of them had gone second stage on one hooking and I hadnt noticed) but then realized I didn't put the perk on I needed for the Quest, so I did another match, praying for pros cause I legit just wanted to get the Quest credit. But no, it became another stomp, and after 2 kills I just couldn't do it. Thankfully there was a p77 Dwight and we farmed while the other did gens and then they left. Helped me scrub my conscience a little.

Hey thanks for taking the time to give your thoughts. When it comes to your opinion about there being no counterplay, I feel like this is where we may just have to agree to disagree. Some of the worst examples people were sharing were due to players using filters or specific graphic settings that made the fog overwhelming. That’s more about how individual settings impact play. And, not that I agree there is no counterplay, but in general, there are many strong game elements that don’t have counterplay to the first use. For example, getting injured by a Ghoul’s first hit, or unhooking an infected survivor from Plague when you yourself are healthy and so is the rest of the team. There’s no counter to that first moment either, it’s just part of normal gameplay.
I do understand your point about the fog being worse on some maps, but honestly, this seems more like a map design issue than one with fog vials specifically. Chucky and Trappers traps are harder to see on swamp, or how there’s certain breakable walls that could make a loop much weaker or much stronger. That inconsistency has always existed, and we usually don’t blame the power/item, we blame the map.
Accessibility issues, 100% valid concern, and I’m with you here, but this is something that should be addressed with accessibility solutions (like a setting or toggle), not just nerfing the entire item outright. And it should be mentioned that there are many elements of the game that are also accessibility concerns like Nightfall on Dredge or playing as/against Spirit without reliable audio. In those cases, we usually advocate for settings, not blanket nerfs. And some of those issues may very well be the point as if you could see during dredges nightfall then there wouldn’t be a point in that power.
When you talk about how survivors just pre-run and pop the fog, I might be misunderstanding this point a little, so feel free to clarify. The fog only has value before the killer sees you, if it’s dropped in front of the killer during chase, it becomes mostly useless as it doesn’t actually obscure what’s up close. So if you take away the ability to use it before chase, but don’t make it powerful during chase, then it’s kind of… useless in both cases. What do you feel the “correct” use of it should be? Should it only be viable if dropped right in front of the killer? Or within a specific radius?
This also bleeds into another point you made about how It counters all ranged killers, Yes, because LOS is how you counter ranged killers and LOS blocking is the vials only function. If fog doesn’t obscure vision, then it’s just a particle effect with no value, and I’m not sure what role it’s meant to play in gameplay at that point. If it’s not for stealth or chase evasion, what should it be for?
I think you may have misunderstood me when you said that Items and killers aren’t the same. My point was that both affect balance, and both get nerfed/buffed. What I’m saying is that it is often advocatedto give new killers time before they receive changes. We let the community explore counterplay, test perks, find techs, and adjust. But here, with fog vials, it was not given the same kind of grace. That’s the inconsistency I’m referring to. It’s not about saying killers and items are identical, but about me feeling frustrated and confused as to why the community insists on patience and adjustment time with one, but not with the other.
To be honest, every complaint I’ve seen about the fog vials could be copied and pasted under almost every new killer release:•“It’s annoying to face.”
•“There’s no counterplay.”
•“It’s too strong on some maps.”
•“It’s too weak on other maps.”
•“It requires no skill.”
I’m not saying fog vials are perfect and I, as I stated, am not against changes being made. But I don’t agree with the same adjustment window we give the community for new killers not being given to the new item.
I believe that If these same mechanics were baked into a new killer’s power, and that they could spit out a ball of fog that did the exact same thing as the fog vials, the conversation would be “give it time”.That’s the frustration and inconsistency I’m pointing to.
You spell everything out so much more peasantly and more conscise than just about everyone and you just get a random downvote.

Same. Please appreciate the custom cosmetics I chose for my own funeral.

They're not high-heeled, but have you heard the clip clop of the shoes on Felix from the techwear cosmetic? They're both satisfying and anxiety-inducing, as I'm pretty sure the killer can hear me tap dancing from across the map.

to put this more elaborately; no one is ever going to use fog vials keys and maps enmasse if these three items are not allowed to be good and medkits and toolboxes are going to be the objectively better thing to bring (leaving flashlights off because running that is partly skill based, which can be argued for keys and maps but their main issue is the inability to hold their properties in comparison to the new token based charge system). i agree that the fog vial nerf was too far and they really should only be removing the infinite usage aspect of it, but if we want equal usage of items they would have to be equal in power.
alas i dont know how to fix toolboxes. medkits i feel as though the problem spawns from the good addons on them being so good, its pointless to run anything else. toolboxes have the caveat that most their gen progressing add ons, hold BNPs. are green tier or lower. there are two extremely good iri medkit add ons, two very good purple add ons, and even the blue ones are worth it to run. the love just doesnt feel spread right
I don't feel like toolboxes on soloq are that juiced unless you're using them for sabotaging or you have Built to Last. If BtL ever gets nerfed than it's medkit time for me. A single toolbox just disappears on a gen. My gen build is already hurting form the loss of Streetwise's previous function.
But with BtL, the BNP is overrated. I can only use it once, but I can use scraps and wire spool over and over, which makes them better choices.

Hah this is me too. Party members will come over to me on a gen and put their empty items down at my feet. Makes me feel useful. I've even had strangers figure out I'm running it and do it.

What they need to do is remove the downvote/upvote system (or at least just keep upvotes on the bug report forum as a "this is happening to me too" button), and add more forum mods so that way it doesn't take a hour for obvious rage baiters and trolls to get deleted when reported. Maybe another button to press in the report system that says why you're reporting beyond "broke rule."
They should also let us connect our stats page and our Reddit usernames to these accounts so we take one step forward, 8 steps back. Would love to see the "friendships" that would blossom.
Is your official stat page accurate? Because my match history shows about one game for every twenty I play. I have entire days with nothing there.

I wasn't having much trouble with turbo Clown until recently. I even used him myself. But I think I was doing it the intended way and not the toxic way, using the yellow bottles for map mobility and the pink when in a chase, and without using haste perks. And without tunnelling.
But yeah, the last couple I faced just charged their way back after an unhook and tunnelled. You can't even get out of the open before he's on top of you. Endurance is useless because he'll just hit you and overrun you again. I had one who downed me and carried me to my hooked teammate so they could mori me in front of them.
I like the character design and music, and I think he's one of the only physically imposing presences amongst the killer roster (along with Deathslinger), but he's currently too embarrassing to play as, even fairly. I feel bad for Clown mains right now. His reputation is in the dumps.

By the way, I completely misread your post and retract my earlier sentiment about you being right.
I thought you were using the Magic the Gathering definition of Timmy and Jimmy (or in MTG's terminology, Johnny), which would fit better with Timmy on Survivor and Jimmy on Killer.
I feel like you have it backwards, it's the survivors who make up 80% of the playerbase and are the group who BHVR panders to, because BHVR doesn't want 80% of the game's players angry at them and leaving.
Unfortunately, this comes at the expense of the remaining 20% of players on Killer, and the cracks are starting to show in the facade that BHVR cares about both sides equally with the strange refusal to killswitch Streetwise and other bugged perks, constant nerfs to perks killers relied on to fill balance gaps (Franklin's being the most recent example), buffs to survivors, survivor item changes, poorly conceived ideas for basekit changes, etc.
Since Kaneki's release, I rarely saw any bonuses for queueing as a killer, but for the first time last night I saw a 50% bonus for killer at rather prime gaming hours.
Between Kaneki and Springtrap hype wearing off and killers being in an incredibly unhealthy spot right now, the killer players are starting to leave or switch to survivor, and I for one can't wait to watch the fireworks show that will ensue.
It's funny how you hear this exact same wording from both sides."BHVR only cares about 4k obsessed killer mains on power trips" or "BHVR only cares about OP flashlight-clicking 4-man SWF." Only BHVR knows who is actually playing what roles and how all the combined data looks. The rest of us are just screaming at the sky.
-
I give hatch because 1) I stomped a team of new players and I feel icky 2) someone played hella good and they deserve it or 3) they did something funny and I can't kill a clown. I'm that clown too, as surv, and sometimes I'm funny enough to earn mercy as well.
I enjoy tearing down the barrier between the two sides and befriending surviviors. Are you suggesting killers should do this intentionally to manipulate stats and get buffs for killers, or are you saying it shouldn't be done for this reason?

For your first point, that's why I'm suggesting a haste bonus. Because a killers ability to chase should not be dependent solely on whether or not it's a good map for them, which is the case for Dredge, arguably the most map dependent killer in the game.
Thank you for the correction. Still, if Dredge being in the middle of survivors is problematic in the first 10 seconds of the game, then how is it not as problematic for, say, a Blight or Hillbilly to do the same thing? They can secure downs far faster than Dredge, but is accepted as healthy game design.
And frankly, Dredge has multiple counters to his power beyond locking the lockers. Teleporting to even an unlocked locker generates a LOT of noise, making it very easy to pre-run, especially if the survivor has exhaustion perks (which is nearly every game). Furthermore, the survs can do this up to 2 times PER location in a game at many places, which fundamentally wastes far more time for a Dredge than any counter to, say, Vecna.
Finally, I don't exactly agree with Dredge being good. Not only is he weak by BHVR standards (at a 52% kill rate compared to the target 60%), but at higher MMRs, he struggles like crazy. Having to run mindbreaker just to even have a chance at catching a survivor isn't a healthy solution to his weaknesses, and at the very least, he shouldnt be completely at the mercy of map rng.
Blight and Billy both give some warning before arriving. Neither can teleport. Billy's chainsaw gives away his activities immediately. Blight has to headsmash his way over to you. You'll hear his terror radius coming. There is at least some time to prepare. If Blight just jump scared you by busting right out of a locker you spawned at that would be too much. I feel like an instatelport would only be permitted if his teleport range was radius-limited like Dracula. And that would have to apply to him universally. Don't think you'd want that. He's already got a more versatile teleport than The Unknown and Sadako.

Erf… I try to think in both way, and since the release of springtrap, I almost stop playing survivor because I love plying him… The fog was fun in the PTB, but now? … You are right, giving tool for survivor, for helping them not for the first objective (the gen and stopping the killer for hooking the teamate) was a good idea, people try to use the vial for stopping the tunneling… But we see what happen
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3979296#Comment_3979296
I was trying the map with the iri add-on, because it was like the old key… but 8 meters is just ridiculous and the beam is only active for less than 5 second… If you want some idea, even if you put the beam in the center of the shack, you can only see the aura of the killer when he is inside
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3979309#Comment_3979309
We can argue for some killer than a lot of add-on are just the same… but recently, BHVr try to change them (in a good way) to become more popular, look pyramid head, before the buff, almost all the add-on was just straight trash… Not anymore
But yeah, New Key, new Map, and now, the Vial, all the add-on are just… Useless
The map is just some kind of less powerfull "windows of opportunity" (maybe in a next change, the perk gonna be rework?) and the map don't show anymore traps or item linked to killer, and the key… The only good add-on is now dead, and for opening a chest in less than 1 second… I think people gonna use medkit, toolbox and flashlight as always instead of thatI just never seem to have a problem with killer. Most of my killers are low prestige cause I'm fine with most of their add-ons. But as a surv, I usually want a toolbox with two specific add-ons. So I have to go through mutiple levels of the bloodweb to get those three things just to get tunnelled out by a toxic, turbo-Clown and loose it all anyway. I feel like there's just a lot more useless garbage in the survivor bloodweb.

And then the reverse can be true, you play a killer you're unfamiliar with because you just brought them, and you're placed against a team playing like they're in a 10K tournament. Because you're not a fresh install, you get lucky and scrape by with a 1K, because they effed up. So you load into your next match to find that the MMR has decided, because you're so obviously new, it places you against real fresh installs who have no idea what they're doing and you feel bad because you don't want to go all out, so you just play a farming match.
I tried out Knight during a trial, didn't even have him unlocked, and 3 of the survivors were p100s. I was looking at the scoreboard like 👁👄👁. I got 1k and I'm amazed I got that, cause I spent most the match just trying to figure out the abilities. On the flipside, I played maybe my fifth time ever as Trapper recently and it put me with people who might as well have been 5 years old whose parents had handed a controller too. I dead stopped during multiple chases and tried to give them space but they were so insanely bad even that wasn't enough.
-
I'm starting to think the map, key, and now vials, are there just to clutter up the web and force you to grind more to get actual useful things. Even the BP I get playing killer usually gets dumped into my survivors because there's so much more you have to buy just to get something useful.
-
@ImWinston said:
- I'll say something controversial. Even before the nerf, I didn't see vials that often; medikits and toolboxes were always the most popular choice. After yesterday's nerf, I haven't seen any fog vials anymore (and I've been playing a lot).
I think there's a few reasons for that. People are hesitant to try a new thing over something tried and true. It's also an item you have to learn how to use right, like the flashlight, but unlike the other items. A bad experience or two probably turned people off right away. They were also pretty scarce in the bloodweb for p100s. My p100 currently has 4 left and that was with me spending a lot to try to get them.
-
I've seen a total of one get used and I'm pretty sure it was found in a chest as I dont recall it in the lobby. Since I've got my gen build back with Built to Last, I probably wouldn't even pick it up in that case, unless I've already done three refills. And even then, why bother? It's quickly joining the key as bloodweb clutter.

I just want to make it clear that I agree with you. Bullying is not just on one side. However, those are things that happen within game. I’m referring more to the campaign to make sure that anything that even slightly helps survivors is completely destroyed by a very small and very vocal minority. And this is done because they want to be able to bully in game. It’s never about something being broken. It’s about taking every possible tool away from survivors so that these piss poor players can get 100% stomps 100% of the time.
I totally agree and continue to be baffled by BHVR's catering to the smallest percentage of players. The adamant killer mains seem to be sorta rare and very, very loud. Everyone I play with plays both roles. We also are all people that believe in fair play, since we have a personal understanding of both sides. It's actually gotten to where I feel bad playing killer most of the time, especially if I can tell the team is soloq and doomed right from the start.
I can also see the argument that fog vials, in particular, could be OP in the hands of a very skilled and confident 4-man and that could excuse a nerf, but that's like 10% of players, if even, and leaves the other 90% with nothing.
-
I get this about stuff like fog vials and taking any and all advantages from survivors, but power trips and bullying are an issue on both sides. I'm a very fair killer and a civil survivor. I'm anti tunneling/camping/slugging and I don't taunt killers for no reason. If you get taunted by me it's because you were a dick, like slugging me and using me as bait.
Unfortunately my code of ethics isn't everyones, and I don't get treated the way I treat people regardless of which role I play. As killer, I get body blocked, flashlight clicked, and taunted at exit gates for the crime of a bad match. As survivor, I get humped and targeted by killers for either no reason or because my soloq teammates are being turds and some people can't be bothered to distinguish who is in on the bs and who isn't.
Got double bullied the other day when a teammate body blocked me after an unhook in clear sight of the killer who, after all three of my teammates sandbagged and just pointed at each other, ended up mori-ing me. Just great behavior all the way around.
-
Fun's not allowed. Only suffering. I was really enjoying them and was starting to get crafty with my usage. It was nice to have a fresh new element. But I currently have no plans to even try the nerfed version. They were already just barely okay.
-
I see it all the time. Some of my party members run in too. Personally, I'd run it if I didn't have to buy a character for it. I'm just not willing to drop money for every good perk.
-
I'm very team-minded and I'm a big lover of Empathy. It's on all my builds. It's useful for helping, but it's also useful for me. If I see an injured person's aura running the killer on the other end of the map then I know I'm safe on my gen for a bit. It gives me great map awareness. If I finish my gen and see them on one, I can both heal them and help with the gen. If I see them slinking around the map edge or digging through chests for a medkit, I can go heal them and get them back in the game. If they're on death hook and I'm in a good place hooking-wise, I can find them and intercept chase and take a down for them.
I play in parties, in voice chat, but I don't talk myself, and a regular statement is, "Cogs, I know you can see me. Come heal me."
-

Well, they're definitely weak now with the nerf. We finally had a step in the right direction to finally make the game even remotely fair, and now BHVR is backtracking and making that item, which was clearly intended to aid in combating tunneling, impossible to perform its primary job. What's even worse, the add-ons already didn't really help the Fog Vials, now it makes even less sense to use them.
I just want to know why the developers hate Survivors so much. It's like all of their decisions are made to specifically ruin any chance of anyone wanting to play Survivor. Makes you wonder why they even bother keeping the mode around instead of just making this a PvE game - cause it's clear they want you to only play Killer.
It's so disappointing and I truly don't know why they bothered. I don't want to play killer all the time but they're really not convincing me otherwise.
-
I mass spent 15 levels on my p100. Got nine toolboxes and eleven medkits but only one fog vial. I'm kinda fine with it though since fun as a survivor is illegal and they're gonna be useless now.
-
I don't think Dracula is a fair comparison. His teleport function is slow, crappy, and severely limited in distance. I don't even use it. He can become bats immediately, yeah, but you still have to move around the map and the counter is literally just standing still. People stupidly running and leaving marks is what gets them nabbed.
Combining Lethal Pursuer with a reduced or removed teleport cooldown at start would be a nightmare for survivors. Having the killer on top of you the moment the game starts would result in endless DCs.
I could agree about the locker sound notifications and speed of exiting if the lockers weren't often right on top of gens (though i know that varies.) It's the same with Springtrap's doors being so close. There has to be some warning. It's not fair for survivors to have no time to even initiate a proper chase. If anything, I'd argue for lockers closer to gens across the board if they were to change locked-locker exiting, but they're not gonna change the maps just for Dredge.
-
I often find it to be the opposite which always confuses me. I have tons of items. Why wouldn't I bring them? Franklin's never scared me either. So what if you lose it. You're probably gonna die and lose it anyway. I regularly leave lobbies where people bring nothing. I just don't trust them.
Even as killer, I'm always puzzled when half the lobby has nothing. It makes me weirdly suspicious.

The lack of vials in matches may also be related to the fact that you can't find the damn things in the Bloodweb.
The Visceral add-on pops out pretty frequently, but are useless if I don't have any vials to use them.Yeah my p100 was getting plenty of add-ons but the vials were only showing up every one every 5-10 levels. I dumped a lot of bloodpoints into acquiring the handful I got. I'm mostly out now so I guess I don't have to think about it anymore, and I've got lots of toolboxes and medkits to use instead.

Still too early to tell but I had vials in every one of my six killer games yesterday. Today, I played seven games and only saw vials in two games. Just toolboxes and medkits with a few flashlights in there. Oh, and zero maps or keys today, despite their recent changes.
I've hardly seen vials at all in my killer games this whole time. Maybe one would make an appearance every five games. And then it would be used poorly and do nothing for the team. So yeah, I expect to see basically none now and I already have it in my head to not equip them myself. Not sure why they even bothered to make them if they weren't going to have them anytime to find their place.
-
The whole thing is really disheartening. I love them even though they've done me minimal good, but since they'll now likely do me zero good, I might not even bother trying the redo. I'm currently using up the ones I've gotten and I'll probably just go back to the toolbox after that. Hope all the killers who cried about them are excited for my sweaty genrush build to make a comeback instead of goofy meme perks.

That's a conclusion you reached on your own. Nowhere did I say that (it's also not even remotely comparable??? idk what you tried here).
You're right, it's not comparable. Slugging is way worse. At least when there's some mist for a few seconds the killer can still act and make choices. But if you want to talk about disengaging tactics, there's this one very common one that is still going unaddressed. Meanwhile, Fog Vials have been out for two weeks and are getting nerfed because killers are crying about it.
And it is a form of counterplay. I'm using it to win chases by making turns they're not predicting. Not everyone wants to run in a circle until they get whacked. This is a potential way to end a chase differently.

Yeah, I think they kinda fail to see what's the issue here.
I think the effect should be strong, but it simply should not be infinite number of uses.
I would personally prefer 2-3 charges of strong effect, than infinite charges of bad effect.A potency decrease is actually a great idea.

I still see them fairly consistently but I’ve only seen a handful pyramid heads since the update. Surprisingly I’ve seen more knights.
Okay, assumng I didn't forget to make a note of a match, I just got my first Kaneki in 117 matches! And...he lost.
He was a good sport though. Opened the door for us. (In defense of my crappy score, I was on gens and dodged him most of the match.)

Myers has been in desperate need of an update and I think many people are hoping for less power in Tombstone addons for a better basekit. Of course, Myers is not even on BHVR's priority list and they seem opposed to giving him any sort of tweaks, because stats show he's fine.
They can keep him as he is or not. I play as him sometimes but I'm pretty indifferent. I'm not complaining about it, I'm just trying to find the line. And it seems to be at "things that benefit survivors."

I don't think something should exist in the game if it actively causes the removal of counterplay to an entire section of survivor gameplay for the killer side… yes.
And that only applies to the killer perspective? It's cool for a killer to slug and run?

When killers have addons that overperform, BHVR's strategy is to nerf the overperforming addons.
So if survivors have items that overperform…. the solution should involve nerfing the overperforming items.

The limited charges might be barely noticeable, if survivors can circumvent the charges with a "pharmacy for fog perk" (since that allows 2 fog vials per game). Or if survivors can circumvent the charges with Built To Last. Or if survivors can use Streetwise and find a +80% number of charges fog vial.
There are so many things that can go wrong, with a charge-based item, since the game doesn't really have any yet.
So is Tombstone Micheal circumventing the typical hook system with instakills? Or do only survivor perks circumvent things?

I myself when i play in a party its usually me and my other buddy and i dont have discord i kinda went incognito mode on social media.
So yeah i also play no comms but texting works well but not fast enough but still really well to stack perks and decide which perks
But yeah not always in a party mostly its 90% of matches i run soloq and have 53% escape rate
You're already doing more than me with perk coordinating. I've never discussed this with anyone. We all bring what we want.

I play in parties and we all die constantly. Parties don't mean they're sweaty or a bully squad or even good. It doesn't even mean they're on comms. My parties usually aren't. All that info would tell you is that a lot more people are in parties than you probably thought.

No one said anything about problems dealing with them. They are an obnoxious item that also caused the only counterplay to items to get removed because the cooldown system physically doesn't work with franklin's lmfao. So yes, I'd rather not have them in the game at all.
You don't like it so no one should have it?

I agree the opacity should have stayed as it was, i even expected tiny bit of a buff to it too.
I just wished hook opacity would have been more visible in their opacity tuning, technically i dont mind not seeing a survivor as long as hooks are more visible and gens.
Think thats what killers probably complained mostly but did not word it properly.
Respectfully disagree on that. That's actually one of the ways I was trying to use it, as a kind of mini sabo action, or to get a gen that was almost done off a killers radar for a second. The balance in that is that auras were also concealed from survivors, which caused me some issues on the survivor end.
As killer, I usually already have a hook scoped out. So it's kinda easy to dodge if you stay aware.
But I think the whole idea with the vial was to get creative with the usage, which makes it fresh and different.
-
I'm so bummed about this. I really hope they reassess something as drastic as a double nerf for an already mid item. It's bad enough I'm barely getting any vials in my bloodweb, but I've been having so much fun with the few I've gotten.
Now just one tiny week or so of killer mains complaining about them being "annoying" and "disengaging" and they're nerfing it. You know what's annoying and disengaging? Spending the game laying on the ground. At least with vials, the killer can still act. If the rampant and unchecked tunnelling and slugging is going to continue making the survivor experience awful, I at least had a funny new toy to use while I got tunnelled and slugged. But if they're gonna destroy them, what's the point? I can just get slugged with my toolbox and my sweaty gen build. Or maybe I'll throw on one of those obnoxious meta exhaustion speed builds that I can't stand because God forbid any new or intriguing elements come into play on the survivor side.
-
Sad I'm losing the war for fog vials. The opacity is already pretty meh. Everything else here is cool.
I take back what I sad about this company not being good at diplomatic wording. There is at least one person who is.

Because they sell… It's no secret that in any game, when a new character comes out with broken powers or perks, they leave them like that for a while to sell, then balance them. How long it takes to fix it depends on how much they want to sell and how much it's impacting the gameplay. *It's not something exclusive to this game, it happens in many other online pvp games where skills are key to win.
Kinda surprised they're killswitching Last Stand for this reason. I'm sure it helped sales.

LOL Curiously, in my p100s I'm getting a lot of fog vials and I don't want them, I'll give them all to you hahaha.
Please send them my way I've died with the few I had 😭😭😭
