I understand why the change to "Shoulder the Burden." It’s a good counter to tunneling when playing as a SWF. But my question is: how are those of us playing Solo Queue supposed to know if another survivor has that perk? I use it whenever necessary (which is almost always, since tunneling is very common these days), but I play solo queue, and in recent weeks I've noticed it's become very common to run it because of the rise in tunneling (at least one other person besides me always brings it). But if things keep going this way, at least two of us will have it in our build, and in Solo Queue, we won't know the other person has it. We’d essentially be down a perk because we wouldn't know someone else is running it. It doesn't seem fair to do something like that to Solo Queue players. I feel like people often think about SWFs, but the solo player keeps getting left behind.
I mean, ultimately, if this change is implemented, I won't use it anymore because I'll never be able to tell if someone else is carrying it... I mean, if this change actually gets implemented, I won't use it anymore because I'll never be able to tell if someone else is carrying it. And for those thinking about the chat... I play on console, so... So I'd like to know if you're going to implement something to determine the solo queue.
-
I can't believe what they did to syringes and styptics. They're one of the few useful tools for solo queue, especially for tunneling. They're killing solo. Well, I'll stop using the medkit and use brand new part every match. I wasn't using it because rushing is so strong, and I understand the killers' complaints, but tunneling is awful, and solo is running out of tools, so I'll have to use it. If they want to nerf it later, I don't care, as long as I'm going to use the thousand+ I've accumulated with different survivors and rush perks. If my games start lasting 4 or 5 minutes, so it be.
What I am absolutely sure of is that swf are going to abuse syringes and the killers are going to cry again, so how do devs plan to nerf them then? By removing them from the game? lol -

So many things on this thread has made me laugh it’s unreal. I’ve been playing since 2018 and I can honestly say, from both sides is hilarious.
For starters, “t-bagging” is used to communicate through players in game, whether that be to another survivor or to a killer. This doesn’t necessarily mean “every t-bag emote” is being used as a haha moment.
Second, no matter what side you’re playing on, there has always been issues with the “t-bag” feature & humping feature (especially when Dracula came out). This is something BHVR has purposely ignored due to the fact that there’s literally no way to determine if you’re doing it to be toxic or just doing it to play around with each other.
End of the day, it’s a game. When the timer is started and you’re upset about getting t-bagged or vice versa, humped there’s nothing stopping you from turning away and not watching til the match ends. People get so lost in the game (understandably so) that it’s difficult to deal with it, but it’s not like it’s forever.
And I very much agree with the comments stating out of all the issues in the game, you really chose this to complain about. I mean truly, this is literally the LEAST of the problems with the game for both survivors & killers right now. There are already so sensitive and fragile people in this game that many times you crouch as a survivor for a reason (I do it in some loops, to have better vision and sometimes the killer sees me) and they immediately think: HE'S TEABAGING ME!
As a killer, I don't usually look down to pick up a survivor; I'm looking straight ahead to see what's happening around me. I move based on the sound of the survivor, and sometimes that makes me move more than I should. Survivor immediately in post chat: "YOU WERE HUMPING ME!". It's hilarious 🤣
-
What if I'm not teabagging and I'm just running for the exit and you hit me? Why should I be punished for that? It would be like wanting to punish the killer for humping... besides, there are plenty of addons that block the exit if you stay, so I don't see the need for that. I think you just have to learn to overcome this, not be so sensitive, and run them off with hits or your power, which, by the way, give you points...
-
That has nothing to do with the hitbox; in fact, the hitboxes for the Huntress and the Slinger are extremely large, so much so that they turn at the corners. The problem in this video is the ping... and the awful ai voice you used.
-
Devs tried to prevent it, but the community is full of crying babies.

Not until survivors learn to quit D/C every single match themselves when something doesn't go there way.
Here we have a perfect example of someone who doesn't even know the game…
-
Toxicity is rampant in this game. In normal modes and others. Whether you're playing as a survivor or a killer. The community is rotten.
-
Not just EU servers lol. I think it's unforgivable that the game allows pings above 180-200. And it's even worse that the game forces you to play against killers with 300-500-800 ping. Why would you play a match against a killer like that? It makes no sense. If the game detects that a player has more than 200 ping (whether killer or survivor), the match should be automatically canceled.
*To clarify, I don't live near a server, BUT I do live in the area where there are servers, which means my ping is between 100-120, and I play against people whose ping is 80-100. Unfortunately, we play against people from China (they don't have servers there, and theoretically, they shouldn't be playing DBD either because I understand violent games are banned), but they're using VPNs and have pings of 200-300, even up to 800... it doesn't make sense.
-
I feel the same way about tunneling, camping and sluggin'. If they want to achieve anything, they should have kept the penalties. Inviting killers not to tunnel, camp and slug is pointless. Making tunnel, camp and slug optional is also pointless. If they want to make this effective, they need to punish the gameplay.
-
I love how they keep killing solo queue and giving weapons to premades. Don't they realize that premades are going to abuse this for the exhaustion perks? It's obvious that premades are going to take full advantage of the syringe. I use the syringe in solo queue because many times the randoms DON'T WANT to heal me, and since I use the medkit on the team, the only thing left for me to do is use the syringe for myself. I don't understand why they do this.
-
I'd say me, but honestly at this point... I'd rather the game work than not work and just look pretty. Tbh, I don't even buy skins anymore, so how the game looks doesn't matter that much to me. Sadly, I've had to lower the visual quality of my game to get decent performance 😑
-
All that change of ranks and MMR was done because people were tired of waiting 15 minutes in a lobby for a single match. But what could we or bhvr do then? We relied on there waiting to have enough players of our level to fill the lobby. Was waiting boring? Yes, but at least that's how the game DID work. Most matches ended in draws because the game assigned you to players of your level. We all started at 20, EVERYONE, and if you wanted to get to level 1, you had to work hard and sweat, and if you wanted to stay causal, you could do so by having interesting and fun matches. Of course, you were always going to find someone who wanted to get to rank 1 at all costs, but it was a matter of luck, and not all matches were stressful and boring. Tunneling and camping were a problem, but not at the level they are today. Many killers needed an adjustment and many perks too, that's undeniable... but changing the ranks in a game that doesn't even have a balanced competitive mode was a mistake.
Usually it was kind of…
Many of us said that year (I think it was 2021) that the change in ranks was going to ruin the game because it would make people even more competitive and the casual mode would end up being affected , and it seems we weren't wrong.
This used to be a natural way to separate the casuals from the sweaty ones, but now everyone wants to be sweaty, every match is a tournament full of people wanting to be number 1.
-
tbh she has a big stigma that's imposible to ignore for most of the community…
-
As a casual gamer, I can say YES. Unfortunately, they changed the milestones this time, which, in my opinion, was a step backwards because last time I was able to complete the rift and the extras by playing for the amount of time I usually do. In fact, it encouraged me to play a little longer (not to exaggerate, because I can't) to complete the milestones and get the skins recolors. Currently, for me, it's impossible, and honestly, it doesn't encourage me to play. With the previous rift, I was very happy that my time in the game was rewarded, even though I couldn't play as much as when I first started. I guess the rift pass is just not for me anymore.

I don't feel like survivor has this specific problem that i have with killer. Even with my best build i die more than i escape, which is great, most of the time the challenge is there. I do not feel limited at all when i play survivor. I feel like as long as i don't explictly disrespect the killer, i am respecting them. Not the same for killer, when you start playing to begin with and you feel like you're just playing the game, you get taught about the "rulebook", you're made to feel like you disrespect survivor for just playing the game by default as killer.
Is the solution to just prefer survivor? Yes probably but i'm curious if other people share this viewpoint on killer and have a discussion about it.If you realize, under your own rules, you're being hypocritical. I say this with respect, not as an insult. It's just that this game isn't meant to be competitive, but everyone plays it as if it were. Just because you don't have that problem as a survivor doesn't mean the rest don't. I know what it's like on both sides, and yes, it's frustrating both sides. Both sides have horrible things going on. And this makes us selfish because we learn to enjoy ourselves and not want everyone in the match to enjoy the game. All we want is to "win" (whatever that means for each of us).
You have to learn to take it more calmly and not take it personally, and learn to play that way. Knowing that, no matter which side you're playing, you're most likely going to lose and you're going to be playing against very tryhard people. But you have to learn not to get frustrated or this will consume you and you will no longer enjoy it (or just quit).
Personally, I'm thinking about quitting the game, and in fact, I was thinking about doing it when I cleaned my PC in December, but I think I'll do it sooner because I tried every way I could to LEARN NOT TO GET FRUSTRATION and enjoy myself, but it's impossible. Basically, this game isn't for me anymore.
I really hope you find a better way to enjoy it, but I thought it would be interesting for you to see the other side of the coin, which also has its horrific aspects. If you can handle it as a survivor, i hope you can handle it as a killer. -
Then… you decide to play survivor:
- You play as a survivor (new player).
- You lose all your matches because you're new, but at least there are a lot of laughs because you were supposedly told this game was for fun.
- The game sees that you're losing and puts you against killers who aren't so good so you have fun and learn.
- Over time, you start to understand the game's mechanics a little better and try to take it a little more seriously.
- You start winning some games with "ties" (2 escapes).
- The game notices that you're escaping, so it's time for you to play against better killers. Better killers mean killers who only know how to tunnel, camp, and slug you. Generally, you only see broken killers (meaning the game has 40 killers, but you only see 3).
- Playing becomes annoying. There are no laughs anymore. In fact, you can't even play anymore because the killer won't let you do anything other than stay on a hook or lying on the ground. If you play soloq, this will become your hell.
- You start noticing inconsistencies, especially related to hits because many killers take advantage of their ping (100-150ms) to land fake hits, and the hitbox is all wrong from the start, so even if the game makes you believe you have a chance to turn that corner or vault that window or pallet, you don't. This starts to frustrate you.
- In the best-case scenario, someone escapes through the hatch in your matches. And at the end the killer is an anonymous person who even has the nerve to write in the chat (or send you a message) saying "ez." And of course, if you run into him again, he might even attack you, but you'll never know who he is because he has the right to remain anonymous. In fact, as a survivor, you don't have the right to know the name of the person you're playing against until the end of the match, making it impossible for you to dodge which lobby you're in. Should you copy the killer and play anonymous all the time to avoid being harassed?
- You start tryharding because there's no other way to improve. Using powerful perks, perks that killers consider "breaking the rules" ('You have Head On? Okay, I'm going to tunnel you because you used it when you were trying to escape from me'). So every time you manage to escape, obviously, even if it's not the killer's fault, you try to humiliate them because it makes you feel like you've achieved something. But in the end, it was just one more game filled with frustrations and an unbalanced game.
In the end, both playing as a killer and a survivor becomes frustrating, and you realize that much of what happens in the game isn't just due to the poorly balanced system, but also because it's surrounded by a toxic community.
I hope I've answered your question. -
To be honest, I don't know how to answer this. What I can say is that the game has crashed for me many times since the last update...
-
I also love heels, but I honestly thought they didn't give survivors heels for "health and setting an example" reasons. I've been in this game for many many many years now, so I thought they didn't give them heels for that reason. I mean, wearing heels every day ruins your knees (even though I love them, it's a fact). Now, running in heels is obviously worse.
ON THE OTHER HAND, I thought they didn't do it (especially to women) because it's usually sexist. You know the "if you're a woman you should always look beautiful and wear heels even if you're running for your life in a wasteland full of mud and rocks". So I figured that's probably why they didn't do it. It doesn't bother me. But then time passed and I started to notice that some characters do have them... And then the Merchant arrived, who, if we were to take into account the standards I already mentioned, her entire figure, the way she moves and every skin she has would be the epitome of sexism 🤣 And then they make skins for survivors that they changed because they look different in the concept arts, maybe because they seem too sexy... But what do I know... I agree with the heels, but I don't really understand the criteria they have for some to have them and others dont. -
It wasn't like that with the old system. We all started at 20 and settled into our level. But people started complaining that tryhards were found at levels below 5, and that it was difficult to reach level 1 and maintain that number and have fun in games, and that it also took a long time to find a match. Well, what did they expect? That was precisely the idea: to make it difficult to reach level 1. And those of us who played for fun might not have made it past the level 15, but that didn't matter; we usually had fun matches, and most ended in a tie. But hey, they listened to the tryhards... That's why they created "MMR" and the new system, so you could get into matches faster. They were supposed to make you join people of your level, but unfortunately, they mix you with anyone (it's very noticeable in the skill and time the players have in game).
I was completely against this system from the beginning, but well... now everyone complain that all the public games feel like tournaments. Well yeah, now everyone wants to be tryhard. DBD became LOL And unfortunately, it's noticeable in the community outside of the game. There used to be conflict, it's true, but not with the same intensity as now. I watch funny DBD videos for fun, and now they're always commented on by angry people because of "those toxic survivors/killers." It's a laughable video, and they take it personally. Incredible and ridiculous. -
I'll tell you the truth, I don't like that killer. I feel like it needs a nerf. More than anything, it needs his power to last less time and not punch you through walls with it. Even Wesker needs an addon to extend the time between his dashes. I don't understand why the Ghoul can have so much time between bites. And he even has an addon to extend it further. It's not right.
Honestly, I let myself die in these game matches because I don't see anything that can be done against this killer (or I'm just tunneled because they are experts in tunneling due to the ease that their power gives them), specially in soloq. I don't understand why they created a killer like this... I guess it sells... I always tried and tried, only for my teammates to "go next," and the killer refusing to let me go even though I was the only one who tried to play the normal match, so I gave up. There's no point in wasting time on matches that are destined to fail. Those are the real sweaty ones.
However, I can tell you that in the few matches where we've managed to advance and beat the killer, the Ghouls disconnect. Why? The only Ghoul who answered this question said, "because it should not be possible for you to beat me with this killer." Excuse me?
And yes, the only way I've beaten a Ghoul is when they DC, because they can't stand losing when they are using an OP killer.
Honestly, if I could, I would leave the lobby if I knew I'm against the Ghoul. Sadly that isn't possible. But whatever, even now it's easy to fake death, even teammates don't unhook you because they don't want to play either lol…Sadly, the Ghoul has already been left with the stigma of being a "go next" killer, just like the Merchant.

No wonder why the killers are so menacing nowadays. I would get pissed too if I was asked to do 5k hooks.
Imagine having the challenge "escape 12 times" in a game where tunneling and camping are normal and you have to play soloq 🤣 Tbh, I've deliberately let teammates die to escape; there's no other way to achieve something like that in soloq when you are the only one repairing and your teammates are walking with a flashlight behind a chase (and they can't even blind and save). The worst challenges before were the "escape with a key through the hatch". Who creates such tedious challenges, thinking they'll be fun or that you can even escape in soloq? 💀
-
I remember the first time they made the change and we started advancing rapidly, noticed in the Rift, I told my partner (who already quit dbd btw): This is too good to be true. They're probably doing it this way the first time so we'll be happy; the next time they'll slow things down and we'll suffer. And sadly, that seems to have been the case lol.
-
I heard from a fogwhisperer that they have plans until 2028, but honestly, the way things are going, I'm quitting dbd this year. Perhaps the ones who stay will be the wave of new players who arrived with the last licenses. And I'm noticing because I've played with teammates and killers with very few hours on their user logs and whose skills reveal them in the match, which I don't understand. Why would the MMR put me with people like that if not to fill lobbies with what's available?

Kinda surprised they're killswitching Last Stand for this reason. I'm sure it helped sales.
The problem with that perk is that it's bugged; its functionality is NOT correct. On the other hand, with a killer's base power, as long as it's working as it should, they can leave it that way. It works as intended. We saw it with the Merchant, with Freddy, and with the Legion when they were released. If I recall correctly, there was a functionality issue with The Houndmaster that made it very broken, BUT it didn't work as it should, and they did killswitch it almost at its release. However, broken killers whose power works as it should can sell well and be, as they say, "reworked" later.
*One thing is to buy a character for a bugged advantage (which the company is obviously not going to allow and is going to patch it), but another thing is to buy a character whose power is "OP" and works as it should.*Considering my words, I just remembered something recent, actually. When Springtrap was released, it was buggy and didn't work as it should, but they never gave it the killswitch the community was asking for, unlike the Houndmaster. Why? We can only speculate: first, it was a licensed killer, and second, it was attracting a wave of new players who were having fun because of how easy it was to play. We only have to look at the famous clip of the most recognized player for playing FNAF who obtained DBD just for Springtrap and made it clear how easy it was to win with him...
-
I don't know if they're going to revert Franklins... I mean, the only thing they said is that the vials won't have unlimited charges anymore. I don't use the vials, they seem useless to me, but from what I understood, what they currently do is take a while to recharge. But the rest of the items (keys, maps) will have the same new charges. That is, like these, the vial will now have limited charges (probably 1 to 3, at most 5). The easiest thing to do with the vials and Franklin would have been to have the vials be destroyed once on the floor and the items would continue to decrease their charges. But they didn't do that and changed the way these items work. I mean, they no longer discharge based on time on the floor; they would have to find another method in the system to reduce the discharges. In any case, if they do that, it would make sense to revert the use of keys and maps as well. It's complicated; in my opinion, the vial should never have existed. As an event item it was fine because it was powerful but required an effort to obtain, but since now it is bought in bloodweb and that's it, its use in the game is not even effective.
-
Honestly, as a survivor, I opposed including that item from the start. It doesn't even work, and now they're going to make it even more useless. I h8 being forced to grab them in the Bloodweb and having that slot taken away from items I actually need. I'd like my BPS to be put to good use and not thrown away. I also h8 to open a chest in a public match and have a vial appear... it's very annoying.
-
Because they sell… It's no secret that in any game, when a new character comes out with broken powers or perks, they leave them like that for a while to sell, then balance them. How long it takes to fix it depends on how much they want to sell and how much it's impacting the gameplay. *It's not something exclusive to this game, it happens in many other online pvp games where skills are key to win.

Banners and badges would be cool. Cosmetics for non-IP characters would be nice but I don't know if I want to be broadcasting my survivor level in the lobby. I don't want to disappoint the killer with my mediocre abilities right out the gate.
My current reward for my p100 survivor is getting basically zero fog vials in my bloodweb.
LOL Curiously, in my p100s I'm getting a lot of fog vials and I don't want them, I'll give them all to you hahaha.

To be fair, friend, they are probably not going to do P100 skins because of licenses. Nightmare on Elm Street, in particular, is one that would probably not accept such cosmetics to their characters.
The badge isn't the greatest reward, I agree, but at least every character can get it.
That's true. I understand that part, and I can agree that licensed characters wouldn't be able to get skins. But a badge honestly makes me think reaching P100 isn't worth it. I admit that if they stick with this idea, I won't invest any more time trying to get other characters to P100.

If you have Hoarder or Human Greed you can see it, and the people abusing the build typically have keys in order to rummage if they aren't running Scavenger, so you can see who switches to a toolbox mid match.
TY for your answer
-
As a healthy member of the community, and who plays soloQ, I'm here to tell you something: play for fun, not to escape. Don't take the game so seriously, neither for the killer nor for your teammates. You should not care if they take a match seriously when its imbalance in its system. Competitiveness in a game that is not balanced and full of a toxic community is killing the fun in this game.
I think you've noticed that most people think they're playing tournaments in public matches because streamers and tournaments outside of the game have made them believe that's the right thing to do instead of just having fun and not getting frustrated playing.
Personally, I stopped investing money in dbd over a year ago, and in a matter of time, I play it only when I feel like it, and when I get tired of it I go play something else or simply don't touch it for weeks and play other things lol Experiment with the perks you want or with perks that help you with your goals, for example "today I want to be the nurse and help heal more", then take perks for that. It doesn't matter if you die in the game, focus on your goals. Honestly, having an optimal team in SoloQ and a killer who isn't a tunneler and a camper and let the survivors enjoy the match is almost impossible. It's better to focus on having fun and not invest too much in something that doesn't make you feel good.
-
Killers will tunnel through anything, even if you don't have that perk 😂
Edit: also, how do you know they have that perk? 🤔 Because I've seen people say, "just because they carry a toolbox." What nonsense is that? -
But they've already spoken out about it... And honestly, given all the time I've invested in my P100s, I just don't think it's right for them to give me a badge. I'd rather get a skin (maybe a #Team100 shirt or a "you need to take a shower" shirt 😂) or a charm for the killers, or an iconic weapon, because the truth is, I've invested way too much time in the game for them to give me a badge that no one is going to care about. In fact, I'm not interested in badges at all; I never look at them at the end of the match. I don't care what my teammates have. I only look at the perks to TRY to make sure they didn't cheat, and the prestige. And the badges I'm using are some of the first ones they release and I've never changed them again.
Many will say that an icon skin wouldn't be right because that will get you tunneled or bullied as a killer. Please... I'm already tunneled and bullied as a killer without having anything distinctive, a new one is not going to change anything. -
I'm not a big fan of TWD; in fact, zombies bore me. BUT even I thought, "So... that's it?" The Easter Egg isn't even scary. In fact, the ONLY time I went through there, I didn't even notice it; I was too busy thinking about my chase. The map barely even appears. The little I saw of TWD was from the early seasons, and I remember the prison very well. In fact, in the main menu of DBD, we can see the prison. I thought there would be a similar map, but no...
Anyway, the map reminds me a lot of those small maps with almost nothing on them, or the "zero zone" of the cinema, which is all rocks, trees, and a few pretty bad pallets, especially if you're lagging. TWD map is a map that gives me a huge advantage as a killer. I played the Plague, but obviously they didn't even make a gen. I don't want to imagine a dash-based or tp-based killer like Kaneki or Springtrap, which are the most common ones these days.It will become hell… This actually reminded me of a meme in the community that said that, as the maps in the game were evolving, we would soon see maps without structures, with few pallets and lots of vegetation.
-
A friend of mine asked me why they had given Michone the Toad scream when she screams on the hook 🤣
-
Tbh, for me, as a survivor, is useless. Let me tell you... yesterdary I play about... 12-13 matches? (3 hours). And nobody at soloq were using it. I think its just an item that a swf will use. NOT ALL THE SWF, but the ones that want to tease a killer. As a soloq member its a no for me. Medkits, flashlights and toolboxers are better for soloq. Not even the new keys and maps are not worth it. So, I don't care if the new item disapear, its not something I use, BUT I don't like to be forced to get them in the bloodweb... I would avoid them if I could. As a soloq survivor I rather see medkits, flashlights and toolboxes in my bloodweb (and in the chests). And sadly I was waiting for a diferent item. SoloQ is losing a lot againts swf 😟
-
Unfortunately, a 4vs1 soloQ is a lost game for the survis and an extremely easy game for the killer. And unfortunately, a 4vs1 SWF is a lost game for the killer... Indeed, there's no balance, but believing one is worse or better than the other is a mistake. Unfortunately, I believe SWF has increased precisely because soloQ is unplayable. Then killers complain about swf, but never about soloq been extreamly easy. So... sadly, this is what we get.
I'm looking for a SWF myself because I'm tired of not enjoying the game in soloQ, and I'm not even a great player. I just want to try to have some fun, laughing or something, regardless of whether I win or not. I haven't been able to enjoy the anniversary event because every match feels like a tournament (and I hate tournaments). The community doesn't know how to have fun anymore. And I don't play as a killer because it bores me to death, regardless of whether I win or lose. Playing killer is just so meh for me. Otherwise, I'll definitely abandon the game.
-
I guess it's because being a killer doesn't mean walking, but rather maintaining a steady pace. I mean, if I were a friendly killer, it would be fine and fun, but that kind of thing has been cut back over time. I think very few people care about having fun in DBD anymore; they only care about winning and being competitive.

You're getting face camped and the bar is going up, you will be able to get off the hook….which if the killer was face-camping previously you couldn't have done without a trade, now you don't need to trade with the survivor on the hook.
If a killer wants to camp a survivor they can of course do so - we are not removing that, what we're doing is trying to give the survivors tools to counter it - so you can unhook yourself, take chase etc. If the killer is camping, the other survivors should be doing generators, making the killer effectively lose the match.
Counterplay against killers who has dashes, tp o throw weapon/animals (with horrible hit boxes btw) that prevent you from unhook? Sure… Guess what? Yes, you still have to trade places… More if you are in soloq. It's easier to just say that they all like camping and that's it, you don't have to justify it. The game mechanics allow it, that's all.

I'm SURE they're going to nerf it because a lot of killers are going to cry about it (and Franklin's Demise will probably become a constant perk because of this); so no, I prefer to keep carrying my medkit and leave it on the edge of the map to use later xD

Pyramid's changes feel more like a huge nerf overall. Being slower while charging your power really hurts since ideally you have to wait for survivors to be locked in animation to use the punishment of the damned and survivors tend to bait it out once you start charging. But the thing that really hurts is the added endurance to his kit. The cage's whole point is making survivors tunnel free, hence why good survivors prefer to go down rather than step into the trail. This is what makes Pyramid so good, and the fact that it now gives the basekit BT effect basically blows up the killer's ankles. It is kinda still worth it for negating DS and OTR but the range buffs does not compensate it since the add-ons already do their job on that.
Clown's changes don't feel either like a nerf or a buff. The change the focus from the purple bottles to the yellow bottles, which feels weird since you're supposed to use them in conjunction and the purple bottle's hindering isn't that great to begin with. I think this will just centralize his playstyle around the add-ons that buff the speed up even further.
Knights changes are just a nerf. You should never use Carnifex to chase survivors to begin with. Instead, you should save it for when you are chasing them yourself to break pallets quicker. Assassin and Jailer are the chasers, so the fact that their banner spawns quicker is basically all banners spawning quicker since Carni functions different from them. The patrol length and the drawing speed are decent tho.
Finally, for Pig they have been trying this for years. Buffing the dash and ignoring/nerfing the bear traps to pander to survivors who can't deal with macro mechanics. It has never worked, and I don't see why it would work now. The main asset of her kit is the RBTs, so leaving them as a second thought (and you know, making jigsaw boxes auras invisible for her) while buffing the ambush is like breaking a professional runner's legs and saying "oh so you have a really strong arm now, therefore you can play basketball just fine". No one plays pig because of the dash, otherwise they you play Chucky.
Overall, changes that feel that come from someone who doesn't play the game. So no news in here.
TBH, I need them to nerf the Knight more, add a CD or something because ALL the Knights I face play the same thing: slugging. Playing soloQ against a Knight like that is annoying and a pain, and it's learned over the internet (ty choy 🙄). If they have to nerf it more so they learn to play something other than slugging, then they should.
And to be fair. The rest of the things you talk about in other killers are moved that way because most of those who play those killers abuse the system. It happened with the pig and the cages (when they blocked one), it happened with the clown who practically had no end of bottles with certain addons and perks, it happened with Pyramid who abused the zero immunity of cages to tunnel... etc. It's not about "improving the game," it's about preventing the abuse of certain mechanics that the players themselves have generated. It happens on both sides; in Survivor they did the same thing several times. Basically, those who play well pay because of those who abuse the system. -
They can't change the Plague's vomit for the same reason that there's no "anti-clown" mode for people who suffer from coulrophobia (and a likely remote anti-arachnophobia mode, if the rumors are true). If they made any of those changes, they'd start asking for the same thing for other game features.
As sad as it sounds, the reality is that if you don't see yourself capable of playing against something like this, then you have to either DC or simply not play the game. The options are there, unfortunately, and without sounding mean, you can't be thinking about the dislikes or phobias of each player.
Are there other games that have these mechanics? Yes, but they're generally single-player, or if it's in a group, it's not against a main character. That is, for example, the most common case: arachnophobia in Lethal, the spider is an enemy but not a main one and can be ignored. The Plague, The Clown, and if they made a spider enemy, they would be main characters. And adding an option to "not be drawn against a clown or plague" isn't possible because the queues for killers are long, and over time, people would ask (they already do) to have a mode that allows them to dodge certain lobbies, and due to the gameplay, that's not going to happen.
Besides, doing all that would cost the company money... Personally, I don't like clowns and I do DC every time I have to fight one. Fortunately, I almost never encounter clowns, lol, so my penalty doesn't increase.

None, because honestly, it all depends on the perks you're up against and the type of player you're up against. And I completely disagree with the idea of Otz being trustworthy because everyone wants to follow his ideas, and that's hurting the game, using only strategies he created and expanding the "meta perks and strategies."
Reading all the perks and addons could be a good option, but there are so many that many don't want to take the time. MMR is useless, so you don't know what type of player you'll be up against, or if it'll be a premade or a killer tryhard. It's too complicated; this game isn't friendly to new players.

"the New hook system, being forced to be kept in a sh***y match where there's slugging and camping, etc."
You are not forced to stay in the match, you can just DC.
Wrong, I think you misunderstood: the idea of the new system is precisely to force you to stay (even if you then unhook your teammate and he sabotages the entire match because he feels like it). That's why we said that "forcing people to play" isn't going to help. Well, maybe it will help the killer, in the end he will win because there is someone sabotaging the survivors xD

I admit that as a killer, the change didn't affect me because I don't use that perk. In fact, I consider it a unique and exclusive perk for killers who only know how to slug and who have no regard for the rest of the players in their match, because that makes an extremely boring and tedious match. As a survivor, I liked the change because I play solo, and at least now it makes it harder for them to slug, even if they continue to slug.
The problem I see is that if you start restricting the use of perks or offerings (maps recently) for certain killers or even survivors, people are going to go crazy. One of the reasons the game sells well is because the perks are interchangeable (ignoring the fact that many of them, when mixed with each other or with certain killer powers, seem like an abuse of the system). So, if you start restricting their use, the DLC people buy just for the perk will stop selling (how many people buy a killer just for the perk synergy and never use the killer again?). Personally, I only buy the perks in SoS now (since 2 years ago); I haven't bought characters again because I feel like I'm enjoying the game less and less. So I refuse to give money to the game.
Unfortunately, they change these types of perks or make changes to the game because their use become abusive mechanics (although they don't always change them correctly and make the most vulnerable the most affected).

I just played a match as killer. Memeing on the new map. No intention of killing anyone. I hooked one person at four gens left. Then I went off to the other side of the map and put the controller down to do something else, as my meme was over.
I came back, she was still on the hook as they popped the last gen, and then they opened the exit gates as she died. Three people did nothing but sit on gens and then left.
What the actual hell is going on. Thank god BHVR removed 4%ing, otherwise she might've had a chance to get herself off when her teammates literally left her to sit on the hook for over two minutes and die.
I don't get it. I just don't get it. Solo queue really is the most miserable video game experience ever concocted by humans.
Exactly, soloQ became the real 1vs4. Except that you are not the killer, and one of that 4 has powers... 🤣

- yesterday i got grabbed by the skull merchant who was undetectable. my teammates saved me from the hook and i wanted to stop a gen regression before healing and i get grabbed..i'm not blaming the killer, it was my mistake! The future system must also understand that "undetectable" affects some game mechanics... mistakes happen to everyone!
Even loop a killer or touching a generator isn't enough to make the system understand you're playing. There are people who have been tunneled and are penalized. There are people who start a chase with a killer, running through the map with the killer behind them, with the terror radius on, and the 10-second crow appears because the game thinks they aren't doing anything. Not even been in a chase saves you, lol.

Imagine thinking BHVR makes more money on 1 Killer per 4 Survivors.
It reads like mecca just took a Killer complaint (IE: BHVR makes more money on Survivors, because there's 4 of them per match to 1 Killer) and felt like turning it around without doing anything more than switching the roles.
This game has been Survivor-sided for years. Every complaint Survivors had has been addressed with baked-in mechanics and b asekit upgrades to avoid interrupting their 16 META perks on 4-man SWF loadouts.
And yet this brain trust thinks Survivors are being treated as NPCs. 😂Man... but it is a game based on selling Killers... I mean, I don't think you understand much about marketing, but I think it's easy for your eyes to realize that what sells the most are the killer licenses. You can be a main killer and say whatever you want about the survivors (it's obvious from you), but if you are not able to see that the main game of DBD is to play as a killer (you being a main killer clearly), then I don't know how else to explain to you that you are the perfect example of that theory 🤣
