They pretty much fixed that MMR-wise. And even then, it only counts as a draw for the survivor. Aka, they dont lose MMR. The killer still gains MMR when they kill the bots.
And it not counting as a death, so what? Any DC counts as generally losing the game statistically. It doesnt count as a win, that matters more. Besides that, dying doesnt mean you lose. You can die but the game ends in 3 people escaping, that's still a win overall (and honestly, if thats the end result, the dead survivor should gain MMR imo, just like a survivor who escapes through the gate but let all their teammates behind for dead should lose MMR, meaning Hatch is more enticing MMR-wise).

As for the second scenario, in most cases, they would have DC'd prior. And even then, you cant exactly hold everyone else hostage because 1 person brought a perk that could in continue the game. Otherwise, the killer shouldnt get the abandon option whenever they bring an aura perk.

Where is your info coming from on killers gaining MMR from bots?

Why should a survivor who is in the middle of dying not loose MMR? They lost.

What is your definition of agency then? If you can still act and participate, that's agency. Agency doesn't mean a path to a win, it's the ability to still act and make choices.

I had a pair of toxic flashlight users the other day who kept running to me to do saves on one another. Slugged them repeatedly because I wasn't trying to tunnel them out, just wanted them to stop. They were able to abandon at 4 gens up instead of just changing their behavior. Their bots continued the match in a more normal way. So the game let them act stupid and then freely leave their teammates behind, with no penalty, in a match that had barely started. That's an idiotic system.

And it not counting as a death, so what?

It's improtant because people use their personal stats as examples of their experiences, and to prove to others that they can do just fine. But if your 55% ER would be a 40% without the abandons, that's a problem. The personal info we're using to discuss the game is wrong.

my apolocheese for the delay, when I wrote my initial post I missed one of the key ingredients to make such a craft. The Bread

After meeting the necessary requirements of having the correct materials, being hungry, and severely under the influence. I can safely say that yes, they did in fact cook.

Not the buttery turner right on the burner 😭

  • I'd probaby pick Kindred but solo or not, Empathy is my default teammate info perk. I get crazy value out of it and i never take it off. I know where the killer is when if an injured person is in chase, I can see if the chase is coming way, I can easily find a chase and take a hit for someone in dire straits, I can make my way to someone to heal them, and I know if and where an injured person is ratting.

  • I feel the opposite. My main is male and bro is so casual I feel like he's going for a morning jog with a rabid monster on his heels. I feel slow as hell, but when I switch to my female secondary, I feel fast and sharp.

  • I've seen a total of 3 blatant cheaters. All survivors. I've had some suspiciously keen killers and fast repairers/healers/runners, but i never feel sure, and overall I don't think I get many at all. Crazy how some people encounter them multiple games in a session, or the same ones more than once.

This is so baffling to me. What's even the point?

Yeah it's been on Xbox Gamepass for years now. From what I understand, what platforms we're mixed with depends on time of day, our own MMR, and especially region.

Those in Asia and NA tend to be on a console, while Europe is much more PC heavy and are more often tossed in with those using VPN's from further and/or restricted spots Also those on PC tend to be in the higher MMR areas due to a ton of reasons. But overall, the largest portion is on one of the PlayStations like you are. Globally.

That's kinda nuts, considering how much less Playstioners I see. Maybe like three every five matches. The only time I've seen more is during 2v8, where I ended up in whole lobbies of them, which was kind of startling. Felt like crossplay was broken or something. It was so weird to me to see no globes that I took screenshots.

Are those numbers available somewhere? I've been curious about player count by platform.

Lack of commitment and fear of risk taking from BHVR is my feeling on the issue.

9.2 tried to do too many things (and felt sabotaged by being tried at the same time as a pallet increase). That meant just about everyone had something they didn't like about it. Instead of taking the constructive feedback they were receiving and making adjustments they seem to have thrown all of their work and development away.

I think they were between a rock and a hard place with releasing too much at once. If they released pallets one patch, Elusive another patch, self-recovery another, a decent anti-camp another, they would have had endless crying along the lines of, "Every patch is survivor-side BHVR hates killers!!1!" for like a whole year. But releasing them as a bundle gave the same results, with added, "the game will die!" videos. It feels like there's no winning approach.

  • I feel like there are about 10 maps in this game right now. I get Lampkin and Badham a ton too, as well as Nostromo and Toba. A fair amount of Lerys and The Game too.

Also Burke! I pulled Rourke randomly out of my brain and didn't realise until this very second, cheers for that correction xD

It's an interesting point in general I suppose, cause obviously the RNG elements of DBD maps are meant to reduce the "map knowledge" elements of DBD and maintain this first time experience idea as much as possible... obviously these systems weren't built with 10'000 hour players in mind...and I guess most balance areas of the game aren't 🤔

I suppose game knowledge does kinda inherently and inevitably do a number on "experiences" aspects of the game... I suppose in game design "meta" sense, thats why many players advocate for systems that are much more mechanics focused, instead of the theme... after a certain point of gamer experience, the theme doesn't really matter anymore...

E.g. A Wizard in a fantasy game after a point no longer cares about their lore and characters place in world, and becomes more interestimg in finding a emerald dark embued staff with a +4 int modifier 😅

I knew which slimy individual you were referencing haha.

Horror relies on literary irony to build tension. When you watch a horror movie, you know something bad is coming, but the protagonists don't. That's the primary source of initial tension--you know, they dont. It's Hitchcock's bomb analogy. Later in a film, both you and the protagonists know about the same amount, and now the tension relies on how it will end.

All horror games loose that pretty quickly. You're the protagonist and you know there's a monster, so that parts null. What's left is the parts you don't know. But play against the same killer 500 times and the tension is zero. RNG does give you a little, yeah. Not being able to see the killer when they can see you also helps. But there's only so much you can do. After awhile, it's barely horror at all.

For me, the only real surprises/tension in DbD are as survivor during clutch end game saves. Those are stressful. I'd love for the events to be less like regular mode with a twist and more like a totally different game. Light Outs had it close. Axe the hooking and gen system though and change it to something else. I think completely different objectives in temp modes would do this game a world of good. It would be a breath of fresh air.

I cannot see other player's hours unless they're also on Xbox, and I think the couple of times I was curious was after the trial anyway. Sounds like it's much easier to view such things on PC, but globally the vast majority of the playerbase is on the consoles anyway. For me at least I see the CrossPlay globes constantly 🌍 🌎.

I agree having no lobbies solves all that directly.

I'm not on PC either. The globe just means they're not on what you're on, and I mostly have the globe as well. I play with people on PC and they can see most of the other people's profiles. I'd venture or say most of the players I come across are on Steam. I don't know why that is, with the ease of access of both consoles and this game (free on PS Plus and I'm guessing the Xbox equivalent) but it seems to be the case.

The game just loads you in with people and no one sees anything beforehand.

Been wanting this forever. Literal solution to lobby problems. I've heard killers complain its needed to get their info. I don't buy it, but even if that is the case, it doesn't out weight the gains received by no lobby. imo anyway.

My biggest gripe with lobby dodging (lol) is the backfill. If I load in as survivor and the killer immediately leaves, I'm following suit. I've had newer killers show up and get stomped while I'm just on a hill watching. They just get destroyed. I don't want any of that.

So fix the backfill issue or remove the lobby imo. There are better options likely, but I can't find them right now lol

I think it would be for the best. The worst issue to me is being able to see people's hours, especially since the killer can see the survivors' hours but not the other way around. Seeing their characters and items is one thing, but seeing their Steam profiles is super unfair, not to mention potential stream sniping.

But yeah, you don't need to see the survivors. Even with me running my item-based build, I can function even if half of my perks are null. You shouldn't be crutching on perks that hard anyway.

  • @JPLongstreet said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4037165#Comment_4037165

Then maybe the solution is no lobby at all? Their MMR system does its thing, the killer sees items and can change their build if they wish, and everyone loads in. No backfilling nightmares for either role.

I bet over time this would drastically improve their matchmaking. Would certainly lessen those distasterous steamrolls whenever a rookie is placed with the vets.

A locked lobby might be the solution, I'm just selfishly biased because I've been enjoying a Franklin's/Weave build and I need at least a few people to have items to get value, and a surprising amount of people don't bring anything. But that's just me. I could always switch builds and be salty about it.

But you'd still have the issue of other survivors not liking what they see, particularly if the perks become visible. Not much you can do with your own build to counter a rat build. Even beyond perks, I'm sure much dodging occurs from being able to see people's hours. This is, again, the possibility of people being tilted before even going in. I think you'd have to have no visibility at all. The game just loads you in with people and no one sees anything beforehand.

  • Give me shards or give me default.

  • @Terror_Misu said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4037165#Comment_4037165

Is being able to dodge a lobby problematic at all? Everyone seems to do it, but also vilify it. I don't understand lol.

The idea something implemented needs a penalty is ridiculous lol. I retract said proposal. Not sure why I didn't see that.

Obligatory humor: I'd wager they implement this, and a bug is birthed that voids all perks you equip.

    For a year.

It's causes a random backfill is my understanding. So if a high MMR killer dodges a high high MMR team then a baby killer could potentially take there place. I will admit it messes up matchmaking.

I recently mentioned in another thread how I popped into TCM, lobby-dodged because it was taking too long, and got a three minute penalty. Then I turned the game off. Pretty sure that would make people either do a lot of that or commit to matches they're unhappy with before they even load in and throw/grief.

That'd actually be funny as hell, but I'll raise you and say everyone goes in perkless. Would actually be cool.

  • @Terror_Misu said:

So we know this is an issue. Would putting a DC penalty on leaving a lobby work? I dont see why not. If you're against such a change, that doesn't mean you're a chronic dodger, but Id like to know why.

I'd rather them not implement this at all if they put forth such a penalty. There are enough penalties making people mad and they already feel like a way to not just avoid a problem but to compound it.

And I prefer to call it lobby browsing 👀

same. I just hope next time bhvr stands up and puts their foot down by telling doc and Legion players to enjoy the handicap or play someone else. their powers by design should not function in that mode.

Yeah it needs more limitations on available killers and their abilities, like reverse 2v8, and some adjustments to help with stuff like saving. It's absolutely a salvageable idea, it just needs a little work.

Is fair enough, and all good, as I say I'm just playing really, so no judgements from me... we're talking about a game after all 😁

There is the argument that time is the most valuable resource in your life, you certainly don't inherently owe anyone else your time (at least until you've agreed to give up your time by starting the trial)... and if you suspect people are gonna waste your time, it's no one else's business whether you dodge or not really...

I take the philosophy that I don't really care if I win or lose in DBD, I still believe in and like the horror concept of DBD... I know people say this isn't a horror game anymore, but I personally believe horror is more than just if you're scared or not.

    Spoiler Spoiler Warning ▲▼

So like in this hypothetical horror scenario, if I have say, I dunno a person with me in this scenario who was in a wheelchair... like Franklin in TCM. The reality of that situation is that person is a liability that actively hinders my ability to escape the trial... the pragmatic choice is to give up on that person and focus on keeping myself alive... but the much more human response is to risk yourself and help this person... now instead of a person in a wheelchair, we have a noob, or a David adept, or whatever... it's the same principle and the game is testing me on how I approach that problem.

Similarly we consider someone like Rourke in Aliens, someone who is actively worming against the group for their own ends. This is effectively the same thing as someone who is ratting... do I set them up to die myself, or do I stick to trying to be a team payer in spite of the group distrust?

What about those gung ho/blase characters, the typical jock characters in horror that get themselves killed early by being overconfident and ignoring the threat until it's too late? This is effectively the same thing as your aggressive flashlighters and alike... do I forgo trying to save everyone and save myself.likenthe Final Girl idea? Or do I still assume the usual risks to save these idiots from themselves?

These kinds questions are interesting to me, and allow me to still mostly emjoy the game whether I win or lose... assuming some idiot doesn't unhook me right in front of a Ghoul, Blight, or Wraith with literally 60s still on my hook timer...

I will admit if I had some crystal ball way of knowing someone was gonna do that I'd probably ditch the lobby 🤣

These comparisons you make are interesting but there's a big element missing: the protagonists don't understand their situation beforehand. Do you think Ripley would have agreed to go back out if she'd known Burke was treacherous? Or that Franklin would have even been present if the group had any thought there'd be danger? Team-visible perks will change that aspect completely.

You might have accidentally made the best argument against the idea of that visibility. The element of surprise will be missing. Maybe it'd be better if you didn't see their perks until you were in the game.

I've always had the opinion: 'if something on one side completely shuts down a playstyle on the other, it is unhealthy.'

Distortion is the closest thing survivors had to doing something so powerful, despite it not being nearly as powerful. It was destroyed in typical bhvr fashion, and while I find Lightborn could be great for newer players, I doubt many would use it as players understand the game and value of that perk slot. Then again… there's bully squads and such, so, maybe its like this: New players use it, then drop it after getting the hang of the game, and then maybe pick it back up once they start getting the squads. If this is accurate, I'm quite intrigued!

Still, it is an amazing perk for what it does. Over powered? I think it's the most powerful perk in the game at the moment in terms of just pure 'slap it on and get these benefits'. Its absurdly powerful. Items, perks, it stops everything blind related on survivor side without ANY requirements from the killer aside from loading into the match with it on.

I feel its been in the game too long and touching it would be like touching dead har-, oh nevermind. Uh, Disto-.. no, nerfed also. Hmm…. Well, I dont have an equivalent for lightborn's power on survivor side anymore. They were nerfed.

Anyway, Its not OP or game breaking, just sucks to go against if your entire build is around that. Likely insta DC.

It's true there's nothing that shuts down bully squads like Lightborn—and that's the continued argument for its untouched power—but I can't really argue that point until there's an equally powerful single perk that makes new survivors un-tunnelable. People argue that tunneling is a tactic. So are flashlights/save builds. Yet one has an insta-off switch and the other doesn't. As it is, you'd have to bring a whole build, know how to utilize it, and you could still be tunneled. It's very easy for even a baby killer to tunnel a baby survivor, and I can't favor the poor, poor killers until it's equal.

I've had the idea that there should be buffers for lower-hour players that fall away as you advance. Certain perks, like Lightborn, should deactivate after a certain amount of time. Old Distortion could also come back at this level. I also think the anti-tunnel protections that were proposed could be something that falls away with time too. But with this idea a phase 2 type tutorial on how to deal with these new issues would be needed, and we don't even really have a phase 1 one...

  • @httpain said:

Definitely problematic since the first hit is basically free.
Why does Legion have to suffer 3 second cooldown while Ghoul can exit cooldown almost instantly while having even less counterplay in denying the first hit?

    Because Legion is free.

  • Still quietly awaiting multiple bug fixes for Dredge.

  • I would also like this.

  • This is an interesting argument, particularly in regards to flashlight squads.

I run Lightborn like it's basekit. I don't even pay attention to the lobby in that regard. I have a few builds it's not on but mostly it's ever-present. I love pretending I don't have it for fake outs, and having Franklin's lull people into thinking I'm probably not running it. It's a big part of the anti-hook-denial focus in my most used builds. I can manage fine without it, but I'd just rather not, and there's no other perks I'm thirsting to fill the slot with.

That being said, I wouldn't be mad if it was nerfed. It is wild that it can delete a playstyle and whole team builds. There are also alternatives, like Infectious Fright, which is probably what I'd swap it with if it went away. At the very least, the aura read is overkill. I think @Ryuhi's idea is quite good, where the blinds only work for the token count and then the perk kicks in. This would also make it so the survivors don't know you have the perk and might get overconfident. Though, honestly, if you're getting blinded this much in a match, you might need to reassess your approach.

    @jesterkind said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4036492#Comment_4036492

Well, let's take a look at that match, then.

The first question is, how many of those blinds were successful flashlight saves? I'm specifically asking to draw a contrast between that and blinds at pallets/around corners/from Blast Mine, which would be unaffected by my changes.

I actually had a match just like this one recently, where I forgot to change my build and went in without Lightborn. Three flashlights, blast mine, flashbangs, as well as head-on. They were annoying little turds. Two of the blinds were successful, the first one making me go, "Oh God this is the wrong build." The second I needed to readjust to this playstyle. After that no one got picked up unless I could face an obstacle, I always checked the area, and much injuring and slugging occured. But it was a 4k, so the Lightborn wasn't necessary, it would have just made things easier.

  • I'm a fan when it's spontaneous, or of funny moments. Like if I down someone and kick their gen and get blastmined, I will do the slow turn to glare at them. Or if they drop a pallet on the wrong side I will just stare at them. I was once chasing two people and the front one dropped a pallet in the back one's face. Me and the other just stared at them until they slow crept back over the pallet and I snatched them off. I often give hatch to comical people. Being funny is a winning tactic and a I'm a big fan of the 180 moments. When I used to play solo I'd run Plot Twist and would sometimes go down mid chase. I can't tell you how many people can't resist that. Works on me too.

No perks, add-ons etc. And everything was pitch black outside of a 16 meter radius.
There was no HUD even, so you went in completely in the dark.

I wish they'd bring this mode back. I miss it.

  • I've got 21k shards right now and that took me maybe a month and change, and my last 30 day match count is 450. I've been trying to amass them for the winter stuff so I just try to ignore them and resist the temptation to spend.

I don't know how clearer it needs to be, sure it doesn't say it in game but at that point the onus is on the person for not looking it up or reading the patch notes.

At that point, it's choosing to not look into the mechanics. But yes, the anti-camp meter was reduced but the gain amount is given exponentially. Like, @Aven_Fallen mentioned it is an anti-face camp measure. I was hooked in basement against a Huntress the other day and I was able to get my anti-camp meter up and could kobe off before reaching second (I did this to waste her time as she was above me on the platform and preventing unhooking). Regardless, my team was pumping out gens and a three man out regardless in solo-queue.

I know what it says. But these changes were made during a patch that was supposed to help with common survivor issues. They changed the numbers but increased the radius to 20m, then reduced it back to 16m while keeping the slower increase. So they buffed camping when they're were supposed to be helping surviviors. Nerfing anti-camp was a stupid move. I've never triggered the anti-camp on accident. Only one type of player is likely to do so.

  • You can't just leave because you don't like what your opponents are doing. If you're somehow having this problem regularly, bring Lightborn. Learn to read people's perks. If they're playing aggressive with Boil Over or Breakdown than slug them. Unbreakable only works once. Totems can be snuffed. Learning to manage these situations is very satisfying.

Regarding the stats tracker, until BHVR changes their inexplicable decision to exclude matches with abandons, there’s no reason to bother because the stats are completely bogus. Most matches have at least one abandon so the stats tracker is working with a completely invalid data set.

It's a grabage system but abandons only affect the abandoner. If you don't use the feature then your own stats are accurate.

Exactly. Every time I see someone say, "I only tunnel because I have to 😢😢😢" I roll my eyes. They do it because it's the easist path of least resistence and no amount of gen time increases or meta nerfs with change them.

  • You know, at least this one's honest. I'd rather people admit they can't win the way the game was designed to be played even with cheap killers, and that all they want is their fragile little egos fed.

  • 1v4 events like Haunted by Daylight and Twisted Masquerade counted towards my regular 1v4 stats. I recall it being stated in the past that they do use your regular MMR for matchmaking in events but that you don't gain or lose any in those matches. I'd imagine it's a little loose though, just for how much it splits the queues.

make Gen speeds slower, I suppose. Maybe nerf some of the big meta perks. When they try implement some changes around Tunneling that benefit both sides, kinda like the the one from the first attempt in the ptb, which weren’t that bad, the base kit bbq and haste, but not too much for the strong killers. And the slugging changes are fine. It’s that simple.

If they're going to increase gen speeds (again) and nerf meta (again) then they'll have to do that on both ends, and I'm pretty sure most people would rather be able to pick perks to deal with the issues they're having than have more base changes. Increasing gen times and nerfing meta perks would also make S and maybe even A tiers damn near impossible to beat as well.

Killers recently got the pallet density revert, visible hook states, and medkit nerfs. All survivors got was an extra 5s of BT. There hasn't been much in the way of bones thrown to survivors lately, despite a lot of indicators there would be. Mid-skill soloqers are still suffering.

When that ptb came out, there was an insane amount of screaming and hair pulling, yet now I'm seeing everyone saying it wasn't so bad. I'd like to know where all these favorable takes were when this had a chance at happening.

Those were the last 30d stats I had saved, from September'ish this year.

I heard a streamer recently make the argument that its probably an MMR thing. As in higher MMR survivors are more likely to DC, cause they (as long time vets) can usually tell in the first minute how a match will go depending on a few factors. Since I have an embarassing amount of hours as a 2016 vet, I would like to believe I am in that category. But feel free to come up with other theories ;)

For me it will always be clear as day that killer stats are massively inflated due to all the gonexters. Hens Asian experiment kinda proves that. Since killers there tunnel a lot more (cause they know they have to), and yet survivors escape a lot more there. Asian Survivors play a lot better generally.

I despise the upper MMR argument being used for literally anything. Until we can see our brackets and can compare notes based on those brackets, I'm not going to entertain these ideas. It also clashes with the popular narrative that people DC over any little thing, like the chosen killer, the map, or being first down, which are the most common reasons I see people giving for DCs in their matches.

As for stats, bots don't ruin a match. They're productive, they just suck at chase. But I'd take a bot teammate over half of soloq. They also don't include matches with DCs in the stats they give us. If anything, KRs are deflated by how many stomps are cut from the data.

You can make the same argument against personal stats for survivors, which are inflated by abandons, which is why I no longer trust anyone's stats besides my own because I've almost never used the feature. But most people do, so most personal survivor stats are wrong.

I think one of Hens' latest videos spells out the problem quiet well. He doesn't say it specifically out loud, but I think any intellectually honest person can take their conclusion from that vid. I'm talking about the vid of his Asian server experiment btw. To me that vid is just massive proof that western players (in this case survivors) are massively entitled. Instead of instantly going-next, play the game and notice how easy survivor has it. I personally quit playing for a multitude of reasons, but mostly because you literally cannot get a single match without at least one survivor going-next, and it has nothing to do with any specific playstyle from the killer.

… respectfully, just learn how to loop, so you don't get tunneled. Also, if you get tunneled that hard and frequently, maybe you should insert some chase and anti tunnel perks… just an idea. Sprint burst meta is meta for a reason, hint hint.

edit ps: 50/50 player since 2016 btw

I don't understand why I hear this so much. I can't speak about my survivor matches because I'm in parties, but my killer matches have almost no DCs (and I've been writing the details down.) Where are all these DCing people i never see?

If you're not playing anymore, are these your overall numbers?

it’s very difficult using mid-tier killers like Pig or Freddy nowadays. If you haven’t, have a few matches with them. Going against a swf with them is a nightmare

My stats weren't the point of this post, but some of my recent killers and numbers are here, and this was before the pallet density revert:

A month or so ago, we had several posts talking about the innaccuracy of the offical personal stats tracker, brought about by this response to a bug report:

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/Q8IBX4EB608P/image-281-29.jpeg

It became clear with minimal investigation that abandons, even in mid-death animation, counted as null for survivors, boosting their ERs wih innaccurate numbers. And apparently the same with DCs. So I decided to see if there were inaccuracies on the killler side. I tracked my matches for a month, noting how many abandons and DCs occured amongst my opponents, to compare with the official page. I also DCed in two matches. In one, I waited until all survivors had run out. In another, they were all present. There were also two server disconnects. The one thing I didn't do was abandon, and I should have because that's a missing variable.

    I recorded:

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/ZULU0VLU070G/screenshot-20251124-010756.jpg

This is what the official stats looked like:

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/EG4ABK8UFYDI/screenshot-20251123-074209.jpg

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/QPAJ06R0IZFN/screenshot-20251123-074242.jpg

Both the 2 DCs and the two server disconnects did, in fact, count as 0Ks, so DCs do, at least on the killler end, count as losses. The stats matched perfectly with what I'd recorded but there's a few things to consider:

    21.98% of my opponenets abandoned

If it's true you don't gain MMR from these abandons, the game is basically forcing killer players to smurf. In my matches, it's generally the best players who go down last. So if I hook the second to last person then down the last and they both abandon, I'm gaining lower amounts of MMR from the first two kills, and getting nothing from the other two, who likely have the higher MMR. If I slug all four people and they all abandon, I get 4 kills on my personal record but no MMR growth, and they get no loss/death. Survivors can maintain their MMR simply by being the last to die and hitting abandon, and killers don't gain any from them.

And 20%+ is a huge number.

4.9% percent of my opponents DCed

This is not really relevant to number crunching, but this clashes with the DCs-in-every-match complaint that's common in the forum. And many of these matches were assured victories very early on, the sort of 4k at 5gen stomps people would be likely to DC.

Matches with DCs don't count towards offical BHVR stats

That previous bit being said, 20 DC matches out of 116 is 17.24% of my 116. Out of those 20 matches, 19 were wins.18 of those were 4ks. These people mostly didn't early DC over frivolous things—they DCed because the loss was assured. If that pattern is consistent across most player's matches, the true global KRs are greatly under-reported.

I've never played as Blight, Ghoul, or Nurse. I do okay with Dredge, who is pretty counterable and RNG dependant. I sit about a 70% KR with Freddy and Doctor. Even lower killers I barely touch like Legion or Clown still have a 60%. As long as I can maintain that target 60% than I'm fine. Killers like Pig and Ghostface I'm not going to touch because I just don't like stealth or trap killers, but those killers 4k against me regularly as survivor.

What is it exactly that you want changed? You can't have a boycott without a set goal. My only real issue as killer is the matchmaking.

quick question, who’s your killer main? I’m guessing Wesker

Hours-wise, yeah, but I don't use him as much as I used to. I like to hop around these days.

We seriously need to stop normalizing coddling survivors. At the very least stop expecting it. It's not HONORABLE, give me a break. There is NOTHING wrong with hooking you anyways after your teams mistake. There is nothing HONORABLE about avoiding a survivor who made a mistake. You're just babying them.

I never spare survivor mistakes ever. They never spare killer mistakes. Not a single time. "Oh you're struggling to get hooks? Let me give you free hooks!" never happens a single time ever.

It's Dead by Daylight. Killers are supposed to be killers and kill survivors. Survivors are supposed to run and do gens. It is the survivors fault sometimes. Just like it's the killers fault sometimes. But survivors do things that GET themselves tunneled. Plain and simple.

You're in the power position. Most of the time, you get to make the choices. If I have 6 hooks with 5 gens left there's no reason at all I can't cool down. And there sure isn't any reason I need to exploit mistakes, especially against someone who isn't at fault. If you have a party that's working like a proper team, then things are different, but if you have a bunch of hapless soloqers who are at the mercy of both the killer and their bumbling teammates, then you can recognize that situation and pull back. If someone unhooks a survivor in my face, I go for the unhooker because they made the mistake. The person on the hook has no control of a random's actions. Survivors are individuals, not a unified mass. Treat them as such.

And maybe it's never happened to you, but my friends and I regularly give free hooks and kills to killers who played honorably but had a bad run. Many killers turn friendly when they loose and will farm with survivors. Maybe you've just never been chill enough to get that sort of treatment, but it does happen.

if you support it, join the server. I’d be happy to have you.

Nah. Imma keep playing. I have no complaints as killer.

  • I fully support this. Please reduce my queue times.

killer clowns is dying because they dont add new content.

TCSM died because they tried to charge more then dbd for dlc and let players see who they where going to verse and if they where on comms leading to mass lobby dodging if you are comms. also as a Australian there servers sucked and would boot you 90% of matches due to high ping because they couldn't even do a oceanic server.

evil dead nobody played, didn't even know it existed until it was cancelled. dead by daylight will die if they don't do something for SURVIORS this whole year they have gotten nothing
fog vials nerfed due to killer complaints
both of the last ptbs reverted because "the update was too hard on low tiers"
they have to deal with the ghoul who its been crickets on if he will be changed.

It cracks me up when people compare these small, niche games to DbD. I'm a big horror fan and also hadn't heard of the Evil Dead game until it was gone. TCM is one of my favorite films but the game had like three maps and was super repetitive. I'd assume Killer Klowns is too. These are all too one-note. VHS never even went live. These pale in comparison to the beast that is DbD.

And yeah, this has been an awful year of broken promises for survivors. I gave up on soloq this year. I'd probably drop the role entirely if I didn't have friends to play with.

  • The ones against walls on Lery's are so annoying. The most bodyblockable of all hooks.

  • Every choice you make is your "fault". You are choosing to double hook. Body blocking and flashlight clicking are one thing, because they're inviting the attention, but if I accidentally run into a recently unhooked survivor who's just trying to heal or make distance, I swerve. You can't always judge the direction the killer's coming from. Sometimes you get farm-unhooked and the other person zips away, and you can't find anyone willing to heal you. Understanding your opponents might be soloqing and at a huge disadvantage with randoms is important.

I had a Huntress in my last session who I was running away from after unhook but my idiotic teammate was panicking and body blocking me. I got hit with a hatchet that was intended for them. The killer just left me on the ground and went after the other because that was the honorable thing to do. She still ended up with a 3k by playing that way and spreading hooks, and on Badham no less. You make choices in this game. Don't dump it on others.

Sins are unique though, and there is one that is bound to be more cumbersome compared to the rest. To experienced players this may not be an issue, but if it happens to be applied to the "weak link" (like a newer player or a Leon) then it might just cause problems balancing it for all skill levels

    A Leon hahahaha

Not quite the same thing but I've seen people complain about a killer being toxic and hateful but then they were steaming and if you watch their stream they were just being playful and playing a character. It is hard to understand another players actions sometimes so I don't generally judge them for their gameplay.

Yeah I guess that's why BMing doesn't tilt me much, unless it's humping, which feels like it only has one intent. I don't tbag as survivor but I will do silly things like point or stand and stare and even though my intentions are harmless I'm sure there are some killers that are raging out and aren't in the right mindset for playfulness.
