I can only play between 5pm - 9pm eastern and survivor takes an eternity. No biggie though got time to drink, piss, smoke, change diaper, etc before next game.

It's actually the opposite.
You aren't hitting the survivor even though it might look like it, that's why the server is telling you "no".
Fair. But you get stuck in animation while they are heading to another loop (Don't matter if animation is shorter). If you didn't really hit you should not be wiping your blade or getting your power ate. This needs fixed on killer POV.

A little irritating, but its nice for players who can't play DBD for 40+ hours a week in order to hit max tier over a month before the Rift ends.
I get to play max 2 hours a day (usually 2-3 games) during week and can play for a bit longer on weekends. My rift is still maxed....
On halloween there was a tome which awarded extra shards.
-
I was shooting crows around the map at gens but you can repel very quickly to the point by the time she can shoot again it no damage. Only time she is consistent with crows is at loops because she can keep you from repelling but from a far it's just tracking unless the survivors are bots and don't repel.
-
Have they not said perks, add-ons, etc should not HAVE to be used/depended on? So running the top 3 killers with the top perks and add-ons to be consistent is not how it should work and honestly you shouldn't have to. I agree you shouldn't care only about 4k's but it's a game.....Most like to win games and most importantly have fun. I find lower tier killers more fun and I like the challenge. There is not one killer I don't use so the power differences are easily noticeable.
I mean I have had games with Clown (as example) and was putting survivors into the dirt left and right (having another hooked by the time first was unhooked) and still had all gens completed and 2 escape. Now sure if I tunneled, ran all meta, etc probably would have 4k'd but shouldn't have too. If you play great as survivors you 4E and t-bag out the gate. if you play great as killer you still might get dunked on is what I believe is the point most killers mean.
Overall I am with you I just believe you shouldn't have too. Also survivor is just fun to me right now killer is not.
-
I only got to play 2 games with her yesterday so don't want to say weak/strong yet but I don't like how you can hit someone with a crow and they can dismantle it so fast while running so your next hit just does the same thing. Also my first game with her I said out loud "She's 4.6? Sure don't look/feel like it". Moves like Huntress/slinger/trickster in my pov.
Love the new scourge hook perk though.

people are getting different error messages, one of which is this:
Not sure if this was better or worse but my error was different.
-
Yeah I logged in after dinner got initialization error but i closed it and it let me play a game. Afterwards i had 0 bp. I had 855k set aside for artist so as someone said DONT LOG ON.
-
It's hard to have faith in a solo lobby but for most part I find solo's easy of late. Of course you still see the urban evader or the walking SB user from time to time but for most part I have had decent lobbies. I had 2 feng's yesterday refuse to let me die, unhooking me while being camped by demo and taking hits to the gate......Just love when the team comes together to overcome.

Everyone goes back to the same meta after trying the new perks for 2 days
??? Circle of healing changed the meta. I have only seen a handful of trials without this perk. Now if they nerf it (I don't want that) I can see it returning to normal.
@douggie123 said:
So place your bets ladies and gentlemen tomorrow we receive our new chapter. Whats everyone's thoughts on these outcomes
- First week of release of the artist every survivor in the community states this killer is to op please nerf
- killers will not like survivors perks and will moan however they won't get nerfed but killers will need to adjust because if we ask for nerfs we don't get them
- Killers a lot more of the killer player base will leave because of the survivor perks
- a lot more killers change over to the survivor side making lobby times longer
- 3 million bugs will appear
- generally more players leave the game
- mid chapter patch and artist and/or her perks gets nerfed to ground and becomes unplayable or unusable due to survivors complaining
- the new map is broken for killer and odd another survivor sided map
- the new map is temporarily removed due to issues
Anymore please add and you can say more than one. Yes this is a killer sided post and I am aware of that but I can't usually say the opposite because the opposite is very rare. I would love to have the chance to say similar about the other side but it's not going to happen.
Killers usually suffer the most
I agree she will be nerfed but I must say I don't think she should. I have not been in the mood for killer only played a couple of games during the BH. I played survivor most of the weekend. The streaks I went on as a solo survivor are just pathetic. When I did die it took 1-2 really useless teammates to cause it. Not going to go as far as to say survivor has got way to easy because this is just my experience but no solo should go on big streaks of surviving. Worst part I still have lots of room to improve I am no great survivor.
-
I have yet to play killer during bloodhunt. I am on a nice streak as a solo survivor though. 3E against a tunneling ghostface, 3E against a Huntress whos only 2 hooks was on a afk Jane, 4E Freddy on Thompson house, 4E Pinhead on The game, 3E another huntress on Ironworks. Once my turkey settles i will try to continue the streak.

More pallets and more survivors that know the most efficient way to use them. Pre-drop, run, gens cranked by others.

Addon is limited used, and you cant use them every match. Perks is free once unlocked. But yes it need some speed improved.
I can live with 20% faster on pallet break, but have 50% faster on kicking Gen would not be OP
There are multiples of the pallet breaker that show up each level for me (P3 50). Not to mention he has yellow and green ones as well. Regardless I don't see how 30% would be overpowered. I think it should be higher but whatevs.

Last time I played Brutal was fine as it was, but I could be wrong...
I have always loved brutal but in the last 3-6 months the game has started to turn into what I described above. M1 killers are rough to use right now (Not saying it impossible) and this strat is a big reason why...along with boons.
The killers that can ignore/break pallets with their power are a bit more enjoyable.

Brutal is fine as it is.
Fire Up is the one that could use a numerical buff.
Naw. If Wraith has an add-on that cracks pallets 60% faster no reason Brutal can't be buffed to at least 30%. I know you have not played in awhile but the pallet amounts have changed and the pre-drop hold W to next pallet is strong. This happens most of my games to the point if I see someone loop I am overly excited.

That's why I only run them on trapper none of my hexes ever get cleansed because the are all trapped and if they do its usually undying or haunted which just helps me because I always get a hook off either one going
There is the rare chance trill gets cleansed but so what it's usually trapped and I'm running all hexes that means It takes 50 secs to boon or something like that iirc that's a long time
Yes 40-50 seconds is a long time and you are guaranteed they have to cleanse 2 at that speed. I just prefer fun builds lately (More value) is all
-
I am to scared to run hex perks these days. Nothing last and if i ran the build you describe ToTH would be the first cleansed after undying. No thx i prefer the greater chance for value from other perks.
Plaything is the only hex i run but dont see why how you would add more hexes to the build. Plaything uses 4 totems so at most 1 more hex perk otherwise you reduce the value of plaything unless they bless the hex which i would get the one time no boons are in play which i have yet to see.
-
Wish they would increase the BP gain for it since kicking is half the trial time or at the very least remove the cap.
-
I am having fun lately. I decided to take the time to learn the flashlight....What a fun little tool. Helps piss off the killer and gets me extra BP. Went from only using a Med-kit to bringing only Flashlight. Got my first career save and had multiple games where I maxed my blinds.
Killer is ok. Can usually only play 2-3 games of it a day though. I still play for 12 hooks....lose some win more.

Kk thx man

I'm glad I play on console, because I can just deactivate being messaged altogether. Like you however, I don't like running slow down or regression perks. I like the chase, so I like investing in that. Pallets are the strongest weapon that survivors have, and anything that can help with that is what I prefer. It's not uncommon for me to run a build that has STBFL, Enduring, Brutal Strength, and an info perk of some kind, either BBQ or Tinkerer.
The way I look at it is if survivors are playing in a SWF, then there's nothing that I can bring to the table that's going to balance being fed that much information, especially if I'm playing a stealthy Killer. And if they're bringing tool boxes with brand new parts, then again no kind of slow down is going to prevent gens from popping, so I may as well get value from mowing them down as fast as possible!
I have thought about that I have not done that because there are still some good apples out there. Does it block your friends as well?
-
Nancy - why? Why not?
Zarina, Elodie, Kate, and Jane also get serious play
-
Don't camp a pallet against nemesis, huntress, or trickster. They will ice your ass during the drop animation and after. This should be common sense but I obviously felt the need to say it.
-
I let someone live every time I win and sometimes even when I don't. I have also been known to let more than one live Nancy/Steve last 2 left....I am not killing that. I hate killing Nancy's and only will if I have to. I like to close hatch and let them open gate and leave (MMR reasons).
-
I played a lot of FPS in my day. Hell I think the first game I remember playing was Goldeneye on 64 up into my early 20's staying up half the night playing COD 4 MW (only one kid at the time.....Ohhh the freedom). Point being Slinger came naturally to me and quick scope was his best weapon. Last night I played him for first time since nerf and he feels...Everyone always says clunky so I will say rusted asf. Like the tin man in Wizard of Oz...Ah maybe I should run Tin oil can on him....

Hi friends!
So I have an Xbox One S with over 4k hours, but as we all know, console performance can be a real pain in the booty so I'm hoping to get a better platform to play on.
Is the Xbox Series X worth getting? (Idk if there's any on stock)
- It's much cheaper than a PC
- My progress would be transferred
- Performance would be better than my current Xbox... I hope
Or is a PC the ultimate choice?
- Better performance than consoles
- PTB access
- Cross-progression has not been implemented yet :(
If anyone with an XSX can share their experience, I'd appreciate it. I play with friends who have both XSX's and PC's so I'm somewhat torn on my decision here.
I play on Xbox one for my first year and a half and in June I believe I bought a Series S and all my problems went away. Loading time near instant, no frame drops, etc. I had to upgrade to a series because there is no ######### way I would restart my progress.
-
Yes killer has changed for me. It can get stressful even when trying to just have fun. I have noticed myself tunneling here and there and it bothers me. I don't want to ever do that and I used to do just fine without any of the mean tactics. Now to be clear (I see a lot of people say this) I don't mean playing Nurse, Blight, Sprit (She still pretty good)....I mean killers like Trapper, Mike, Ghosty, Pig, etc just feel at such a disadvantage these days to use. honestly no killer should lose before the match starts (Decent survivors all it takes) and that can actually happen with maps, resources on said maps, spawn points, etc.
Those of you playing Nurse and Blight probably don't feel no different because you are running the cream of the crop. NOW as tilted as I can get playing killer.....Is nothing compared to how tilted I get being a solo survivor. If it's not a tunneling/camping killer who kills you it's a DC, throwing teammate, unhooks in front of killer (With or without BT still your dumb asf), crouching around map AKA killed by teammate.
-
The reason they are known for slugging is because of how much time would be lost switching back and forth for hooks. Game is not built for time consuming killer powers right now
So a way to recall/have Charlotte move somehow would be best for game health.
-
I know I can't be the only one but I truly believed Insidious made you invisible. Worse I ran it on Wraith.

I'm still trying to figure out how people want this nerfed. I play solo and I rarely see this perk. When I do I find it hilarious when a killer comes out of no where and I scream "Holy Hell" or "Ahhh #########". I could see why noobs hate it but they hate everything.

I'm the unlucky type of guy that whenever I decide to pick DS, killers tend to not tunnel anyone. But as soon as I'm taking that perk out, every single killer seems to tunnel everyone.

It's better to play survivor after a long day. It's a little more relaxing.
I play both but neither is relaxing lol. Killer I feel I lose because of RNG, Maps, etc instead of being outplayed and survivor (solo) is a tunneling camp fest.

It'd be nice if there was a way we could check our MMR.
No doubt. I want to see it so I know where each specific character is rated. For example I get off work exhausted and just want to relax I could tinker with one of the lower ones and vice versa.
-
I do very well with Fred, trickster (not at start though) last trial I played with him I got 13k because that's how fast they were all dead, Pig I my main boo. used to have Ghosty in this list but I don't have the right perks on him right now to get consistent wins.
I am not saying I win every game with these killers cause no one wins every game in MMR but I like my chances going into the trial.
-
@Nathan13 said:
It’s not gonna be much different at night because that’s when you’ll be going against SWF squads.
True. I can only play between 5-9 pm (Until weekends) and it seems like mine stays the same if I lose. last night I swear every survivor played the exact same.
-
😂🤣😂
-
Maps, Spawn points, Ormond sized difference between solo and SWF, too much RNG, difference in objective time (4 players have 2-3 minutes of objective time compared to killers 10-20 minutes worth of objective - 12 hooks),
-
LOL.
I spent last night finishing off my Pinhead and had a god awful time.
First Game - Ormond...Got Mikaela to death hook at like 4 gens but instead of removing her I targeted else where (Only reason she got hooked 2nd time is unhooker dipped out). Then got a chase with meg and Pallet/Drop/run from loop, get caught out of position/DH/Pallet, process restarted. I was Ghostface (ritual) and it's not super fun being m1 right now. Got t-bagged at gate messaged by the Mikalea EZ. I responded with killers are tunneling/camping left and right and you talk ######### to one who don't.....Makes sense should have killed you at 4 gens.
2nd game - pinhead - Red forest ....Pretty much identical to first game but killed one with 8 hooks.
3rd game - Pinhead on RED FOREST again...6 hooks no kills
4th game - Pinhead on Swamp.....Ok ######### this game it's on. This game I eliminated the death hooked person at 4 gens and won the game with 3 gens remaining. Got bored and switched to survivor.
5th Game - Survivor - Tunneled....off hook twice by a Plague. Logged off.
-
I started a week or 2 after slinger came out and tonight i got my last killer (pinhead) to p3 50. I know i still got some perk collecting to do but I am happy I hit this milestone. I have Nancy P3 50 as well and Zarina P3. Redt are p1 or 2.
Considering i work all day + have 4 kids i feel I did "A pretty good job so far".

I don't set out for either. It truly depends on the killer I'm using the the type of survivors I frequently see. Some killers I prefer 2 or more slowdown with and other I will run none. Slug builds I rarely use but still find times where 3-4 are in the dirt..
I have been glued to Plaything, LP, BBQ, and BS/POP. I may customize it from time to time like Corrupt, LP, Plaything, BBQ but it's my primary build. Very Very shortly I won't need BBQ so POP, Brutal, STBL will see more play.

For me at least when Im tryna win I have 2 options go for a big slug with stuff like infectious, penance devour and obviously killers that are good at it like Billy Plague or Twins or just draw the game out with slowdown like corrupt pop ruin and it seems with either build a lot of people seem very dissatisfied at either my perks (when I use slowdown) or my playstyle when I do a slug heavy build.
What kinda of builds do yall prefer VSing?
