Ehm I don't understand? Nope like " I don't think like that"? Or like in "yep it will never happen"?

Whats your point? Im more asking a question of what would it take so the survivors dont just through a tantrum every other game
You can't make it right for everybody since satisfaction and fun are subjective and while some complain about something in one game, the next group won't say anything and the group after that might even praise you for it.
A good example is being a friendly/farming/fair killer, take your pick here. Some survivor will complain that you don't play the game like intended and it is not fun for them, some will just play and say nothing and then others will even thank you for the relaxed round of a non toxic Mori killer.
So just like others said, ignore everything coming from the opposition being it killer or survivor and just play for your own goals, be that 4k, merciless or like me bp and provide the other side with an entertaining round.

Thats what I was thinking you know something not to crazy but not something over the top
But hey we know that useful perks like those will probably never come and it will be sugar-coated by saying "we don't want to put any stuff behind a paywall" again.
-
You can keep trying. I know in league of legends it can work, but no idea how much work the devs here put into it. But the discussion about the necessity of penalties has been done too much already.
They have to be brought back but not be abusable.
Edit: again I hate autocorrect -.-

Wow first time I see such an obvious bragging post. And then one so low. Beating console players from pc really makes you a badass -.-

Here's my run down for this killer concept, first thing is the lore. First off not a bad plot idea, I like that you generally some up the idea for this characters story, but its feels too quick and rushed. What I would want you to do is expand on that and give details like why did his businesses terrible? It would really help out greatly if you could tell us what time period hes in, and where he is, that will set up the theme of the story greatly.
For his power, I can understand where you are coming from with this although I would like to know what does the heated status effect do, like what effects does it give other than just spreading flames, and it feels a lot like plague so you can expand a bit on that. I want to know why would I as the killer need to keep using it if there is no way to dows the flames if that is the case.
Now for the perks, first off Medium rare by itself seems Op already, and I like it. However as a survivor how will I be able to counter it? So you have think of what the survivor could also do, and you need draw backs because you can't use every time someone stuns you.
Undercooked, again extremely OP, this is basically a better version of Play with your food, there has to be drawbacks 25% is way to fast and 20 seconds is way to long. I would say make it slightly like 5% because that's an instant end chase for killer and is not fair for survivor.
Silver Platter, now this one isn't as bad due to it being a hex but 30 seconds is quite long, I would say 20 seconds at least, although cool in concept well done.
So these are some things I wanted to go over, again this is not terrible at all I like, I like it a lot, however, balancing wise is heavily needed, you may have to change some of the perks. Also I would like to know more about his story , it is very interesting so far and I would like to know more, so if you want expand on it please do so. Also make sure you add more to his power I would like to know what it does and why I the player would play as him. The idea of having a butcher in the game is cool but I personally feel like a Firefighter themed killer would also fit as well with the fiery theme but that's just me. Overall well done
Medium rare would need a 60/90 second cool down and a requirement like spirit fury but would maybe make a nice addition to that combo but that would make it op. Getting spirit fury and this perk aligned would lead to damage by the pallet follow by fast possibility for a second hit. So maybe make their requirements contradicting?
Undercooked would need to be times down to bloodlust 2 or 3 and the survivor hit for the activation should be protected for the duration with a mend effect similar to bt to prevent tunneling while also not be a free bodyblock. Also would be fitting themewise when the survivor is undercooked after cutting in and the killer leaves him to get well done XD. And duration maybe 10 to 15 seconds tops, enough to reach over half/whole map?
Silver platter seems a little strong when combined with bitter murmur if I remember correctly. Maybe a liiittle shorter and/or with a range requirement like BBQ fitting to the timer?

I haven't noticed any differences at all. And as to whether or not the Mouse gives an advantage of a Console... I play with a PC but use a XBOX controller. All this muck is nonsense.
Well I would say using a mouse over a controller in a first person view allows more diversity.
From my experience I feel that you can't exert millimeter precision while also being able to do instant 360 turns with an analog stick.
Maybe with hundreds to thousands of hours practice on high sensitivity to adapt your muscle memory to obtain the same precision, while still being able to do turns with the same max speed.
And yes I know high turn speed is not highly necessary in dbd but would help against 360s and stuff, since it is by now already close to a stereotype that survivor are way more successful with them against killer on console than on pc.

If everybody has the icon, none are on PS4. Game tends to play out like a normal game. (Suggesting a mix of PC, XBox and Misc consoles). Don't waste your best stuff.
I thought so but you would need to delete the "not" from "do not" in your original post since both sentences still say the same.
But what you want to say is, if they DO have those globes that they are not swf and the games seem pretty standard.

I mean, the killers, they’re about the same as console killers.
But the survivors i think are a lot worse. I see a lot more just doing nothing, hiding. Since i’ve been on crossplay, gens have been notably slower.
And when ever i’m hooked i usually go to struggle cause a Yui decided it would be useful to finish a gen, then do a totem. Then look in the chest.
Keep in mind i had kindred.
So um, Console Master Race?
The only superiority pc has over console is the performance aka framerates and for first person games/players the ability to be precise while also allowing rapid big movements like 180 instant turns which is insanely difficult to accomplish both with an analog stick.

With several systems in the mix due to cross-play, most of my lobbies have a mix of occasional "my system" players and mostly "other system" players.
When I play killer and NONE of the survivors have the icon, I know that they are all on PS4. And wouldn't you know it, they pretty much play like typical SWFs! What a surprise.
Oddly when I play killer and ALL of the survivors DO NOT have the icon, the games seem pretty much standard.
Of course I'm not suggesting you lobby dodge. But you know those ebony Mori's you feel uncomfortable using because they are unfair and OP? Perhaps in this situation it wouldn't be a bad idea to equip one.
I might be misunderstanding something here but are "none" and "all ... Do not" not the same? And both times you said killer?

I simply have not reason to go for a 4k with everything I've got. Doesn't feel more rewarding than 1k, after some time. Also I know how toxic other killer can be in all ranks with only meta perks and Moris. But survivor are the same with generally 12 of 16 perks being meta most often.
I play mostly for the bp and the gameplay itself.
Those two reasond result in my playstyle being getting my BBQ stacks, while not tunneling or camping (both boring as hell).
If they didn't manage to get 1 or 2 gens by that point I just Double Hook everyone and then proceed to hit and down one or two until I am satisfied and if they still didn't manage 5 gens I start killing them one after the other. I stopped playing farming games in the first six months since they take forever and are boring as hell at some point.
Last one mostly gets hatch.
If they are competent enough I just play normal but still try to go for 3 hooks each without camping, if they don't hook dive or whatnot. Last one might again get hatch.
Hardcore Tbagger and bodyblocking trolls on the other hand get tunneled down out of the game.
FYI in the middle ranks you can still double pip without even one kill with this playstyle and even get merciless which I find strange and funny.
Edit: I hate autocorrect on mobile.

I tested that yesterday. Killer que was about 15 seconds witg crossplay on, and about a minute with it off. Survivor was a little longer with if off than on. Maybe 30 seconds to a minute at most. So it seems lots of people did turn it off.
Platform, region, time of day? Those are all information that nearly everyone forgets to mention in this forum Everytime the queue time discussion comes up. But they matter, sorry if I sound aggressive but I had this so often until now and even made an ignored thread about this.
At this point I wish there were some requirements like in other game forums to indicate all platforms and which region someone is playing from.
Edit: For example I play on pc in eu and before the crossplay I had 5 minutes queues in the afternoon but after 10 pm it became less than 30 seconds, killer only.

And the same overall entitlement with zero compassion for teammates/contestants, in respect to the argument " only I (my fun) matter(s)". But that itself is worth a discussion about people's behaviour in (small)team based PvP games aka trolling and DC.

Yeah but this behavior origins in the same problem like toxic behavior, being anonymous online. They don't have to proof anything since noone will ever be able to get to them since they are protected by online anonymity. I had enough discussions about this in league of legends.

I'm a console both-sider, I'm mostly making fun of the superiority complex some (not all or most) pc players have been displaying since crossplay became a thing.
Well the superiority has definitely reached the heights of being called a complex but they are not without a base reason.
Framerates are lower on console than on pc (this will maybe change/be gone with the next gen).
Also you can't always be precise and have optimal Trunspeeds with an analog stick in first person games. Atleast without hundreds to thousands of hours on max sensitivity to adapt muscle memory to obtain the same precision again while being able to 180 instantly.
I myself love to play platformers and 3rd person games (not shooters) with a controller on pc.
But an additional difference is the distance to the screen and the quality of sound without headphones.
I played salt and sanctuary and darks souls together with my best buddy on his console and since I couldn't wait I played both on pc and I have to say it is way easier for me to play with the screen close to me. Headphones don't really matter in this example but I think we all know the difference they make.

Yeah even the 360s or 180s are different, I tried to up my sensitivity on killer but that only made it harder to aim, so overall console is weaker for countering survivors and killers, since crossplay came out I don't think any killer has missed a swing on me unless I got a pallet stun on them
I am trying to address exactly this point in a multitude of threads for a few hours now XD.
You either have got precision or turnspeed with an analog stick. Or you play a game for several hundred to thousand hours with high sensitivity to adapt you muscle memory to be able to be precise while being able to turn fast.
Only worsened by the inferior performance of this game on consoles.

It is interesting that it's been wildly different for everyone. I'm hopefully I just have had an unlucky night, but this morning's game never happened because I had to head to work. That said, morning have always been a little slow on PS4.

The problems of the game right now just make this discrepancies more evident and aggravating.

...I say to myself, expertly urban evading around a rock in the corner of the map, with the precision that only the talents of a pc gamer and a high-end mouse working in perfect harmony can offer. Surely it's not right that they should be playing alongside the likes of us?
I almost feel pity for them...
The killer has barely appeared on my shiny monitor, 50 metres away, but employing my cat-like reflexes to their fullest extent, I press the E key and dead hard into a tree.
Maybe, I play like a rank 15, maybe. Occasionally. But what would the console equivalent be? According to the steam forum calculations, a rank 20 survivor on pc is a rank 5 on console. So I should be a 1, if not higher, one could presume.
These reflexes come into play once more as the killer advances on me, hoping to deliver his final blow. I masterfully hit the exit game button, and I'm gone even before I hit the ground. Taking note of the globe icon next to the killer's name, I let out a shriek of laughter, my monocle falling from my face and plopping delicately into my glass of mountain dew.
Couldn't even hook me once!
As my tears of joy subside, I mark my victory by letting out a truly exquisite, juicy fart. The scent of last night's burrito rushes into my nostrils, accompanied by a subtle yet powerful hint of refried beans. I savour it, wondering if the intestines of a console scrub could produce such finery. I think perhaps not. I wish I'd bottled this one.
I have to say I love the humour and style of writing.
But I don't get what you want to point out with this maybe because I don't play enough. Who is this addressed to? Killer or survivor, console or pc, the implementation of the crossplay itself? Because I read a little bit of everything into this and can't make out your own origins (which side and platform you play).
Sorry that I don't get it (I might be the exception here) but thank you for the hard laugh. 🤣
-
Well the playerbase on pc seems to have juggled both sides up so much that console player feel that every pc player is tryharding which at some point became the norm for both sides.
Killer on console are weakened by limitations in from of framerates and hardware limits (analog stick Turnspeed vs mouse being able to flick and instant 180 turns).
This lead to survivor adapting to a softer Playstile in comparison? You never have to try your hardest when the other side is limit in their capabilities?
I don't know I never played on console and nearly didn't play any survivor but apply by looking at the problem from the outside with logic I would come to this conclusion.
But there evidently is a gap between pc and console gameplay, which was always there and forever will be. Even the distance to the screen and sound differences will matter.
For example I played salt and sanctuary and darks souls on console (with my buddy) and on my PC and I felt there is an immense difference for me, because it is way easier for my to have a complete overview on the close of monitor and better sound with my headphones. I played everything with a controller on both platforms, which I prefer for platformers or 3rd person games (not shooters though).

When i opt in on pc my q time is quick as survivor. But if i opt out, it is horrendously slow on pc because killers have no reason to opt out.
I am basically forced to play with console potatoes urban evading around the map.
I just hope rank sorts them out fast, or they learn quickly.
Edit: from reading in the forum I thought survivor queue on pc was always shorter then killer, since pc may have the highest killer/survivor ratio, but it varied depending on daytime, killer queue being several minutes in the afternoon but nearly instant after 10 pm (my experience on pc in eu).
That's maybe the overall problem with crossplay. It breaks all different platform player based into two groups varying on each platform.
Pc may see a temporary increase in survivor (until the console player are sick of pc killers being more potent than console ones because of better frame rate and mouse controls).
Consoles will see a sort of increase in killer numbers.
Sort of because the number platform killer native killer (which was never big to begin with) will dwindle drastically since they will either opt out or play survivor themselves in crossplay since they don't want to play against survivor with even a bigger gap (higher frame rate) than they have on their respective console already (360 already being more effective on console).
Crossplay will maybe overall shorten queue times for killers on pc and survivor on console.
But I have no idea how the part of the player base that will opt out ( minority on pc and maybe majority on console?) Will handle crossplay in the long run.

Jesus autodidact would be a massive game changer perk lol
Then pallets would have to auto respawn, because then there would be end all pallets builds where bubba just goes around breaking everything and the next 40 remaining minutes of the match there would be no pallet left for the whole game omegalol
And that is exactly one of the points that come directly to mind why such a mode will/can happen.
Pallets are one of only a few safeties for survivors but the killer can get rid of them. This I also important because the first generator pop so fast and the killer needs to apply more pressure over the course of the game by getting rid of many pallets early.
In this long game mode it would either leads to the killer getting insane amounts of pressure on the survivor when they lose this safety completely or the survivor get infinite amount of safety making it impossible for the killer to apply increasing pressure.

Quite obviously as the others stated. Additionally, opting out of crossplay is AT THE MOMENT also no option because I don't think most of the people will turn it off immediately atleast so short after rank reset, which would lead to insane queue times again with the few other that did turn crossplay off.
-
Well I would love this in the forum since I am tired of reading queue time discussion where nearly noone gives info about neither platform, region, daytime of playing and in the future opting in or out of crossplay.

I think the concern is that previously, the wait times were much less. With other people being matched to other platforms, it seems like it takes a lot longer to be matched up.
Examples:
PS4 solo queue usually takes 1-2 minutes. Yesterday, the average was 5-10 minutes.
PS4 group queue can take longer, 2-5 minutes. Yesterday, we waited 25 and gave up. This morning, a group of 2 is still waiting after 30 minutes.
Well as I posted in another thread, most of these statements hold not much information without platform, region and daytime.
For your example it may be the case that the crossplay addition only inflated the player base on survivor side while most console killer either opt out or play survivor themselves.
By now I read nearly every possible combination of shorter or longer queue times from every platform but you can't get any coherence without the aforementioned info given.
-
@Zozzy said:
The only solution is to notify survivors if the killer is pc or console.
Console survs have learned to abuse low framerate and the less than desirable analog controll the killer is forced to endure.
If they are told it is a pc killer then they will know the normal tricks will be useless.
This∆ is (from my perspective) one of the main problems for console vs pc. The difference in framerates impacts console on both sides. But the difference between pc and console killers lies within the limits set by the hardware.
It is nearly impossible to be so precise AND fast in a game with first person view with controller as with a mouse.
I love playing platformer and third person games like dark souls with controller on pc but I would never play a first person game with it if I have the mouse as alternative.
Of course people may be able to adept muscle memory to be precise while using a high sensitivity for the stick but that takes maybe as much time as learning to play nurse on pc.
-
Aside from the op's ego issue, crossplay allowing to opt in and out will probably split the player base even further if it works the way I think. By creating waiting lobbies separated by opting in and out of crossplay for each platform.
We will get a huge group of players (probably mainly pc) and splinter groups for every platform of people opting out creating several queue groups with even worse waiting time which MIGHT (not will)kill the game be fracturing and in consequence frustrate the player base.
But it can also lead to just pc getting a little more people and the rest will go back to pre crossplay until the devs give the option for console only crossplay. Who knows.
Edit: To the topic and most of the responses, opting out of crossplay may not be reasonable on pc since I don't think many will do and this would lead to the few that do to being nearly unable to play or force them back in. While I personally don't see any reason to opt out on pc.
-
Is always love this kind of arguments about queue times /s
Why does nobody state there platform, region and daytime, because they all have to be taken into consideration?
I read in this thread again both sides "Survivor instant, killer long" and a few posts later "For me it is killer seconds and survivor minutes", why don't you share the aforementioned information because without them these statements are completely uninformative.
Without taking any of this into consideration I would say the problem looks a little bit like this:
Pre crossplay: 4vs1 ratio as ideal
Pc:
-more than 20% killer -> longer queue for killer, instant for surv ( this is only true in the afternoon, at night killer goes down to less than a minute from my experience, btw EU here)
Console:
-less than 20% killer -> themention 15 min queue for surv, killer instant
Now:
Pc:
-probably noone opting out
-slight increase in survivor but still not enough to put killer really below 20% (maybe close to no new killers from console)
-> shorter down to instant for killer, no change or slightly longer for surv
Console:
-player base splitter by opting in/out of crossplay
-opt in: huge increase of survivors -> longer queue
-opt out: less surv but also less killer (people not playing killer while crossplay is on, playing friends while opt on) -> same or longer queue times
And this is again without taking time of playing or region into any account.
-
Well he is basically right about the basic issue. Killer aiming/rapid turning is way easier with a mouse instead of a controller.
But this issue was obvious way before the implementation of crossplay.
On console you can either have small precise aiming or fast 180 turning (talking about fast reactions, without thousands of hours to aquire the muscle memory to do both aka precise aiming with high stick sensitivity).
-
Well the constant use of "we" instead of me or I gives the strong impression of talking about a collective about people. Couple this with a tone of arrogance ("We use our head/play smart etc."), let's people spooks at the post with an inherent feeling of "disgust" (<- sorry I am missing a better word for this).
I read your post a few hours ago and can't really remember the contents but the tone was pretty arrogant against console players. They are handicapped by the limits set by the hardware (mouse vs controller turning for killer against 360, being used to 30fps against the now killers with way more and so on).
Of course there may be a higher skillevel and it might also be linked to the mentioned hardware limits but skill has to be always compared on the same footing (hardware).
But I also predicted the apparent discrepancies between pc and console.

I found this in another thread about the perceived fun of the camper and think it is one of the best categorization of "camping behaviours and their intends:
(Edit: Careful, wall of text!)
"There are different kinds of playstyles that people sum up as camping eventhough they have completly different intends and results.
1) Classic Facecamping aka Bubbas realm:
- Intent: To kill the person on the hook
- Distance: "Smell their breath"-distance
- Will leave the hook: When the survivor dies
- Counter: DO the gens and leave, the person on the hook should waist as much time as possible!
2) Close proximity patrolling aka I know people are not near the hook, but I will still patrol in 8m radius because I realy need this kill.
- Intent: To kill the person on the hook
- Distance: up to 8m and quick turning back
- Will leave the hook: When the survivor dies
- Counter: 3 People teamwork can save against most killer in the game - does not work on Bubba, Oni with power, Meyers with power, Plague with power
3) Close proximity patrolling aka I saw you hidding and noone else on BBQ I will not leave because I have nowhere to go
- Intent: To hunt a different person but without gifting them a free unhook, because you are not obligated to do so at all
- Distance: up to 8m and quick turning back
- Will leave the hook: When there is a new survivor to hunt and NO clicking flashlight 30m away then tbag and then imidiantly start running away will NOT motivate to leave, if you want an exhange the come close enough to be considered an offering to leave the hook, because you need to understand that the time is running for the killer you will need to interfere eventually so do it right away
- Counter: Over the killer a chase alternative, most killer will happily accept gameplay instead of hookpatroling, but like I said before dont BM, dont flashlight click, dont Tbag! This will not motivate but just make the killer more angry not to leave you a free unhook.
4) Far proximity patrolling aka I saw that you are near the hook, but I am feeling great today so I will gift you the unhook and hunt the one who unhooked
- Intent: Gift the survivor the unhook eventhough it is not the most effective thing to do at all and then hunt the unhooker
- Distance: The closest thing to do aka the closest gen to kick the closest pallet to break
- Will leave hook: already did leave, but will return for the person who unhooked
- Counter: DONT hide, if the killer returns and there is only the injured person from the hook this will be his target, if you saved then take the responsibility and play with the killer instead of farming your teammate!
5) Leaving the hook but person gets unhooked so I return aka I was not camping you are just impatient
- Intent: Hunt people, you are vault that you dont allow the killer to leave!
- Distance: variable
- Will leave hook: already did leave, but had to return because its the closest save survivor top hunt
- Counter: dont unhook while in heartbeat or while not in chase
6) I was hunting that one person who discided to go near the hook and then start using the loops around the hook aka ######### should I do? Just leave? May I maybe go serve you some cold drings when you unhook for free?
- Intent: Hunting the person
- Distance: Close to the prey
- Will leave the hook: already did, you just brought the killer back to the hook
- Counter: Dont bring the person near the hook
Doing the first kind of camping aka "Classic Facecamping aka Bubbas realm" is bad at any situation and I have no excuse for that! EVERY other kind of "camping" has his place in the game and is not only viable but even CRUCIAL to do under some circumstances if you want to win the game. 4-6 is not camping, people calling this camping just experience it this way because its from they perspective. 3 is viable thing to do because you are not obligated to give a free unhook, survivor do not gift you a gen nore do they offer them selfs to be hooked when the doors are open at the end of the day.
2 is also viable especially if you are defending survivor and a gen or a gate in the same time or the gates are open and this is the only thing to do to get a kill! Survivor often demand that you leave the hook and start hunting a different person BUT the person that is offering himself as the prey does not give you a fair chance to get him, he has several second chance perks and an opned gate very close and even then there are 3 other survivor with flashlights and pallets ready to save him. You are the killer, you need to kill, the person that you will kill with the highest chance is the person on the hook, leaving the hook without an advantage to hook the next person is stupid and should not be done if you want to win."

So I'm not exactly a new player I've owned the game since 2016 and have 2k+ hours on it but this game feels like more of a chore to play than anything. I'm not sure if it's because of the rifts that force you to constantly play if you want to complete them (I know some people say that isn't true and finishing rifts is easy but good luck if you actually want to play other games but don't want to miss anything). Maybe I'm just burnt out of the game and it's time to put it down but I just wondered if this is a common thought throughout the community or this game just isn't for me anymore.
Well I think this is kind of normal. Do you play alone or with friends? I noticed that WoW became nothing but a chore with all the dailies, twinks and whatnot additionally because most if not all of my friends I played with left the game over the years.
In league of legends on the other hand I still can have much fun and am still playing with friends for 10 years. If I had to play with randoms all day long I think I would have quit at some point.
Edit: Correcting typos and autocorrect.

You can totally be banned for that and it has happened and discussed here on the forums even not long ago. If a survivor on the receiving end records the game, you will get banned. Just count your blessings because it hasn't happened to you. Yet.
If you run into this kind of trolls, you down them immediately. NEVER EVER follow them around to be shown where the other survivors are.
You're sorrily mistaken when you say you're taking advantage of a person who's trolling if they rat out their teammates and you go along with it. You are actually teaming with them and IT IS your fault. Taking advantage of their trolling without fault is to kill them when they run up to you.
Also, saying that one can be banned only for 3rd party programs is total misinformation that you should stop spreading.
Back to the OP, you did nothing wrong. You're allowed to choose your target. You're allowed to give hatch. In your story, Feng didn't help you in any way to kill Quentin. There was no teaming involved.
I had one game where one survivor was bodyblocking another at the already broken killer shack God pallet.
I let the blocked survivor out, tunneled the troll down and resumed a normal game pace with the rest.

I think people who only play survivor or only killer tend to believe the other side is so broken. The game must be unbalanced. The thing is the game is more balanced then people tend to lead on. Also a game like this will never be perfectly balanced and people need to accept that. I don't really see a problem with pretty much all the perks as they are right now. Perks like DS, BT, and Unbreakable are easily countered when the killer learns how to properly play against them. Perks like NOED, devour hope, BBQ, etc... Are easily countered when knowing how to properly play against them. It is the fact that most people who play these games don't actually use their brain and learn from past experiences and learn ways to counter said perks. Survivors who complain that killers are OP don't learn the weaknesses of different killers and how to play against them. They also have never played killer and don't understand it is equally difficult as being a survivor. Killers that never play survivors whine about this and that when they don't know the difficulties of a survivor. Most people who play both sides will say that yes survivor is easier, but isn't that because it is 4 minds vs 1 mind. And I think most of us would say the game is not as unbalanced as people say. Sure it has its problems like every game does, but I think people need to put themselves in the developers shoes. Do you actually understand how much time and how much effort it takes to create and entire game and continue to fix and update said game. It is not easy.
Casual Killer only here. Honest question, I know that DS, in and bt themselves are counterable but what about the insane synergy they can have?
Imagine someone getting saved with BT (counter: you wait out the timer or go for the unhooker),
you down them but they have DS (counter is to slug or ignore again, I personally just eat it since I don't put in enough effort to keep all possible DS in mind),
you slug them to counter DS but they have unbreakable (counter: don't slug or camp for the duration of the 1 minute from DS, which is the dumbest thing to do, or just leave and let them get up).
In my inexperienced eyes there is no real counter for such a setup (which is nearly constantly run by many survivors, even in middle ranks), without a huge loss in form of time or simply loss of pressure on this survivor.
Again this is a honest question because normally I don't even care.
I go for the unhooker Everytime I can see them (even when the unhooked runs straight into me with their bt/DS). I simply pick ppl up and eat the DS as early as possible/simply don't take it into consideration. I don't have really any strategy against unbreakable and just get surprised a little when they get up when I know noone was able to heal them.

Yes, it is an issue...only when you go against the 15% of SWAT TEAM SWF groups
The primary issue here is there are two kinds of SWF groups
- The group of friends who want to play together
- The SWAT Team
Group 1 is great to play with. They're fun; they get to have a good time with their friends while I as the killer get to go through my normal Killer Duties and stab people
Group 2 is the problem. While this may be anecdotal evidence, I have found that the SWAT Team is usually not only damn impossible to beat since they are in constant communication with each other but they're always the biggest toxic ######### to play again. If there is a cheap tactic, they'll use it and if they get any chance at all to mock the killer, they will 1000% take it.
The problem is that I don't know how you could solve Group 2 without directly hurting Group 1. What you are currently asking for would downright kill SWF because of a much smaller group of God Mode SWF teams as no killer would risk going up against Group 1 if they had the choice. My guess is BHVR currently isn't doing anything against SWF because there's no decent way to balance out nerfing SWAT SWF that wouldn't also directly hammer (and possibly kill) the casual SWF teams so BHVR just kind of lets it go and to be blunt, I would kind of have to agree.
While it sucks to get stuck with SWAT SWF, the sheer design of the game for survivors can mean that people who are just stupid amounts of efficient will always be able to steam roll over Killers. There's nothing you can really do to design that out of the game because if you adjust the objectives, "normal" players are going to have no chance. If you adjust the SWF part, "normal" SWFs who just want to play with their buddies for a few hours are going to have no chance.
The thing is while group 2 will be impossible to beat by and bully even top tier killer players, group 1 is a wide field of skill and intentions.
Ranging from 4 potatoes playing together over 4 people just trying to just play for fun (maybe even with just meme builds instead of meta) to 4 men groups trying to reach those 15% in terms of skill and more often in terms of toxicity.
And the advantage of comms that come with swf will be used by good percentage of those 85%. More or less effective but I can show you a YouTuber that played with friends like the last potatoes but still managed to win just by communicating.
To the average killer even the half of those 85% that just can play good enough to beat them hard and unintentional use some toxic stuff (many survs tbag for really just for fun/to indicate something to others) will FEEL like the mentioned 15%. This is making a good amount more than 15% feel unfair.

I think a 3 man or higher should notify you. Two man SWF is not going to be a sweat squad
This would still lead to most killers dodging 3-4 man's which would hurt the game overall.
The best and often mentioned solution is buffing solos with information via making some perks baseline and then giving killers more power in correspondence.

Camping is like time, its relative! The flow of time is different for the person who is using the toilet and for the person who impatiently waits in front of the restroom. Same thing with camping! The person on the hook does interpret camping different then the killer or even other survivor.
There are different kinds of playstyles that people sum up as camping eventhough they have completly different intends and results.
You are the killer, you need to kill, the person that you will kill with the highest chance is the person on the hook, leaving the hook without an advantage to hook the next person is stupid and should not be done if you want to win.
So about your question if it makes fun, it depends! I never tried 1, but 2 does not make fun, because 3 survivor are stronger then 1 killer and if they play right they WILL save the survivor and escape all 4. 3-6 is not camping, just normal gameplay in the eyes of every killer outthere the survivor are self inflicting it upon themselves. So 3-6 is just normal gameplay for killer and does make fun.
∆this is by far the best summary of all camping types. I personally play 3-6.
Additionally there is the timing thing in the state of progression.
At start - useless, unnecessary, toxic and boring
After catching a toxic surv in the middle - re-toxic, not necessary and enjoyment depends on mood
Egc aka open doors - not toxic and probably the most efficient strategy at this point.

What do you killers say all the time? Oh yeah! " deal with it ", " get good ", " it's part of the game ", ect...
Just to comment, VoIP were never part of the game and are the essential point why swf feels/is an unfair advantage.
But hey I may have only 150 hours (since release) in this game and may not know what I am talking about, but using logic.

Easiest question I've had to answer all week lol
- Won't hide in the corner the whole game.
- People to talk to (I love to talk).
- Know how to loop.
- Know when exactly to rush gens, while also not creating a 3 gen.
- Reliable help against campers/tunnellers.
- Can play fun meme builds.
- While levelling survivors they might give you free items.
- Help me with challenges.
- Drinking weekends (the best reason to play swf).
- Know their perks.
- Can give some useful information.
- Build up friendship that can transfer over to other games.
Think I'm missing about 10 but this is my initial thoughts. Hope that explains things.
And it seems the easiest misunderstanding all week. The question was about "vsing" and not playing.
But I think you knew that and just listed those points you like about swf not why it is fun to play against.

I fall guilty to rage quitting from time to time (only as killer really) but every time I do I am barraged with death threats and harsh words, I feel as if I should stop playing this game for how toxic it is.
Rage quitting itself is and should always be looked down upon in TEAM based multiplayer games.
You "should" go into games like rainbow six siege, rocket league, League of legends, DotA and so on with the mindset to play TOGETHER with a set amount of teammates against a group of other players.
Those games are meant to be played in team of the same size(exceptions are asymmetrical games like dbd or evolved but they mostly died out) and quitting ruins the balance between the teams.
A real life example for rage quitting would be a game of soccer where 1 (or a few to make a better relation to team sizes) just leave and suddenly the team with less players is doomed to lose and won't have much fun.
In dbd you can take this example for killer rq as the one who owns the ball going home and nobody can play anymore. Sounds like much fun for the others, right?
I personally only quitted dbd once, when all survivor exploited a (then still existing) fat-shaming spot.
Another thing would be a team oriented surrender vote but this would allow too much trolling from 3 man swf against solo and won't help killer side at all.
And before anyone mentions games like cod, battlefield and so on those games provide the option of the lobby filling up in real time during matches and a single quitter doesn't have the same impact in team sizes of 16 -32 people.

And having rank 1 killers using an untouched nurse to stomp rank 20s because low mmr is fairer how?
Yeah this potential problem is a general worry and they have to address by somehow up the overall killer MMR according to playtime or devotion level to accommodate or something.

I mean once you reach a certain level of skill you can pick up any killer and at least put up a competitive fight. Nurse is the only real exception here.
Thete should be some sort of bleed over, I don’t Know how much your MMR will go up by winning but if you 4k as trapper and it goes up 10 points all of your other killers should go up 2-4 points as well.
Thats what I mean. Your overall game understanding and sense will increase with playtime so it has to be incorporated.
edit: But hey rank reset every month is also a brilliant idea if I can take a half year brake and then stomp on rank 17s. -.-

Survivors can probably still switch despite the MMR-lock because mechanically they are all the same.
@Xbob42 said:

Because all survivors are exactly the same. They're just skins.
I think survivor side gets only one MMR overall. And that is good because like said they are skins but with differing unlocked perk collections.
I just mentioned in another thread that the devs could simply remove character depending unlocks on survivor side if they make the MMR character independent but that would reduce grind and so playtime and could hurt their profits, so don't expect it ever.
-
As.mentioned it is way too early to make a correct judgement on the MMR system.
But they have to make the system take playtime, devotion level and overall killer level into account so you don't start against "rank" 20 but 10.
-
@yato said:
why is it intentional?? survs can switch, killers not? i think this is a totally bullshit, hope they "fix" this, it is really uncomfortable
They won't "fix" it since it is intentional. They are going to give you a MMR specific for each killer and when searching for a lobby this mmr will be used for the matchmaking.
Switching after matchmaking from you never used Wraith to your several hundred hour spirit would be abusable.
So better start living with it or switch the game. Killer only main here btw.
