They should no longer put hatch challenges for survivor/killer in the tomes as well as rework the previous tomes that involved the hatch. Unless you're in a 4swf there is too many random variables you have 0 control over to complete those challenges.
-
Would it give me BP, XP for shards, progress with challenges/rift, etc.? If yes then I would definitely play bot mode.

60 seconds?! Try five.
5 would be too short. When survivors body block at hook there would be ones standing there waiting for a hit that would lose collision before the hit. If want it short I'd say 10-15 seconds at the lowest.

If they changed Superman then I would be pissed
I'm assuming you mean if they changed Clark Kent because they had his son Jonathan who is gay takeover as Superman so technically they changed Superman.
There was also Superman Red Son where he is raised in Soviet Union during the Cold War instead of US.
They've done several different versions of Superman.
-
I think if a killer/survivor has not moved out of a spot for 60 seconds they should lose collision. This will stop them from being able to bodyblock areas where the survivor blocked can move around a small area but can't leave.
As far as blocking jigsaw box they could do something similar to PH staying by a cage for too long like reverse bear traps deactivated when the pig stays near a box for a certain amount of time.

I mean with the quantity of charms we have right now and so many just being recolors, I don't see why they could not add random color flags too, at least they are more visible than those bronze ones
Agreed. On survivor I can't tell which bronze - iri rift charm they're wearing, a multicolored flag would actually be one I could see a difference.

I'd very much prefer representative flags weren't timed exclusives, if that's what you mean.
Not timed no, I just meant if they can make half a dozen recolored charms every 3 months then they could easily make the representation flags if they are basically recolors of same flag. There's no reason not to make the flags and put them in a code like the pride flags we have now.
-
Before I read the post when I read the title of more flags I thought it'd be funny if they added red flag charms.
The specific flags are basically same design just recolored right? If they can put out 4 or 5 recolors of the same charm on a single rift I would think doing same for flags for representation would be just as easy and more meaningful.
-
I think problem is alot don't know that there's a difference between auras and killer instinct.
-
It's 8:15AM EST right now so in about 2 hours 45 minutes from now.
-
I see this more as BHVR announcing they've finally followed through on a 2 year promise to add more representation more than anything else. I think had they made one of the other characters tome lore prior to this be the first gay character they would've put it in lore as a surprise but since it's been sooo long and they're giving David his second tome before others even get their first they made the announcement instead.

ikr? Im also lowkey pissed they skipped over feng & jeff for a tome that feels kinda forced, Feng and Jeff need a tome rn, Wish they said he was gay in his previous tome tho.
That being said, Devs pls focus on the game. :)
The only complaint I have is that David is getting a second tome when half the survivors still haven't had their first tome. They could've made Jeff be first gay character instead and given him a tome now along with new cosmetics in the rift. I hope after this they give the remaining survivors their own tomes first before giving any others a second tome.
-
It's good they finally did it but really took THIS long for it to be a current character? I thought the delay was because it was going to be a new character.
My only complaint is David King who already had a rift and tends to get plenty of new cosmetics is getting another rift before other survivors even get their first and will probably get another new cosmetic while survivors that barely get any are yet again left out. They should've had it be Jeff that is gay so he would get his rift and new cosmetic to go with it.
-
Nay.
-
How would Blood Warden work?
EGC doesn't need any buffs, it's fine in its current state.
-
I've said it before, in lobby and in match survivors should be shown as survivors 1-4. Give everyone a DBD ID and show that in the end game screen with which survivor it belonged to for reporting when necessary.
This will stop players lobby dodging when they see survivors names and it will stop killers ability to target a player from a previous match or know their load out. Survivors are not shown killers name because if killer mains a certain killer survivors will know what to run to counter that killer or would dodge lobby if they didn't like that killer, the same should apply to killer. If after match 1 killer finds out survivor doesn't run DS in their build they can easily tunnel out that survivor in match 2 because they know they don't have to worry about it. Since SBMM started having multiple matches in a row v same players happens more often so this is no longer some rare occurrence.
Giving everyone a DBD ID will make reporting across platforms easier since it will remove the confusion of "how do I report steam player without steam ID."
Removing the gamertags will also help stop players going into other players profiles after a match to send toxic messages because they are a sore winner/loser.
-
With how often they put "fall from great height" challenges in the archives they really need to add a "great height" to all of the maps. It's so annoying putting on that challenge and having no heights to fall from, especially when they have you equip BL for the challenge.
-
Hopping in a locker isn't progressing the game and the survivor is useless to the team when they hide in the locker so it shouldn't deactivate DS.
-
I was just thinking something similar to this the other day and was going to make post in feedback. I think if they did weekly challenges with different perk load outs and have it be super basic "complete 3 matches with these perks equipped." Having it to be something simple like just completing matches would encourage more to do the challenges because they wouldn't need to worry about getting kills/escapes. It would also avoid people just farming to get challenges done or encouraging bad gameplay like some of the archive challenges. Doing it weekly they can also have the perks be ones related to the ones available in the Shrine.

Wanted to try ph but as I'm leveling ghostface for I'm all ears, I noticed game freezes whenever it procs.
Rip :(.
I forgot, does I'm All Ears give a noise notification along with the aura reading? I feel like anything that causes a noise notification/bubble on killer side causes a freeze. Kind of like how on survivor the notification bubbles cause a freeze.

This.
At first I didn't like that there was a break between Rifts, but hell, they could make the time between Rifts longer and I wouldn't complain, now. I get burned out faster than I used to.
100% this.

To give it a reason to have 3 perk tiers.

One of the best? That's a bold statement...
Iv played since release and have a stupid high win rate but I wouldn't even call myself the best.
DH, certain maps and tile setups are the biggest issues in this game atm.
Very bold based on their post history. π
-
I really hope they changed it.
-
I'm so happy they removed the regression on recovering survivors. Slugging doesn't need any buffs.
-
I've said this for awhile now, my queue times are always based on time of day. During day until about 7pm my survivor queues are always fast while killer is slow, then after 7pm they switch. I figure at night is when more people are playing with friends so if playing DBD there is only one side they can play if they're to play together.
-
I enjoy the log in rewards and hope they keep doing them. Hopefully they'll make adjustment to have pop ups for all log in rewards and not just BP. I think it's great they finally are doing an xp event, I just wish it was while a rift was open instead of between rifts.
-
Since grades have nothing to do with match making and only represent time played they should remove the negative pips. Only have black pip, +1 pip, and +2 pip.

@GoshJosh said:
Better yet: why werenβt its effects simply added to Decisive Strike, and Parental Guidance do something totally unique? Because BHVR loves their half-baked survivor perks for some reason.
Because there are still people thinking current DS needs more nerfs, like deactivating during end game. π
-
Quite a few complained during PTB saying it would become new anti-tunneling meta perk, especially combined with DS. I just ignored those posts thinking no way they would be taken seriously and then the perk was nerfed. π

@TragicSolitude said:
Yeah, of course they do this when there's no Rift.
I don't think they've ever done double XP before. I'm already embarrassed about my Devotion level, I don't want to inflate it with a 2x event if there's not even a Rift to work on.
Doing it when there is no rift is pretty annoying. It's like doing the BP events right before new DLC comes out when it's not like you can save up BP earned in matches past 1 million like you can with codes and log in BP.

To be fair. I don't -wish- for him to not get viewers. But it's certainly not going to gain him viewers probably
It's definetly hard out there. I only average 10 people watching me currently, and I'm about as chill as it gets. So I can't imagine someone trying to grow being an #########.
I'd be happy to check out your stream if you want to share yours. I like watching laid back streamers.
-
I've noticed with killer when I'm trying to drop a survivor there's a delay. There's also a delay when I try to drop my item on the ground as survivor. It's fine if I'm switching items using pick up but if I'm just dropping an item it does the same delay as when I try to drop a survivor as killer.

I wouldn't call slugging until bleed out toxic. BUT being an ######### about it afterwards is. I don't know how people watch people like that tbh.
Luckily not many do like watching him. His live streams only get a handful of viewers and he doesn't have many followers. I'm guessing the viewers he has are either his friends or are doing what I'm doing and avoiding lobbies with him.

I wish the bill that tbagged her got to play her again. I didnβt do anything toxic and she toxic out on me lmao
There's a toxic nurse streamer that plays on ps4 with crossplay off. Every match he will be toxic towards players that weren't toxic to him. Loves slugging until bleed out while standing over last survivor. If I see him streaming I dodge his lobbies every time because even in his streams he is a sore winner.
-
People have been saying this since the first time they hid ranks/grades. I don't get why they still haven't done this. Using portraits is actually super useful.
-
I'd be for it as long as they encourage gameplay that isn't camping for killers or hiding in corners until escape for survivors.
-
I've had it happen pretty often since SBMM started up. There are killers I'll face multiple matches in a row but my teammates will be different. It's not fun at all. I wish there was something I could opt into that would guarantee not facing same players in a game session - I'd take the longer waits for a match.
-
Since grades are now only an indication of time played and no longer used for matchmaking they should remove negative pips. Only have safety/black pip, +1, and +2 pips.
-
I stopped running Flashbang because I kept getting killers running Iron Maiden, haven't seen Iron Maiden since. Definitely OP perk, nerf it so I can safely run my Flashbang again. π
-
The only issue I had with Hawkins was increased performance issues when I played on it - although no where near as bad as RPD. Other than that I enjoyed that map so pretty bummed it's gone.
-
I'm so happy use an inhaler was on this list, that was first thing I thought of. π
-
If you're on PS4 or Xbox 1 you can still buy disc version of the Nightmare Edition of DBD from some places. Game Stop in the US still has copies for $30.
-
I find it funny because I don't go to the exit. I walk around breaking pallets I missed and then try to guess where the hatch will spawn in case I can close it. The number of survivors that die to EGC because they are trying to wait until very last second is also pretty amusing.
-
I want SBMM to be adjusted to take into account what happens during the match not just the end result. I want it to adjust differently for a killer that just facecamps at 5 gens and runs NOED for 2k than a killer that hooks everyone atleast twice and then gets 2k from hooking 2 players 3 times. I want it to adjust differently for a survivor that is actively helping the team through chases, safe unhooks/heals, working on gens, etc. and a survivor that just hides for most the match, if they go for unhooks it's unsafe/has killer immediately chasing the unhooked survivors, constantly leading killer to teammates, etc. I want it to encourage better gameplay than just kill/escape.

They're considered a null. For the Killer, each match is treated as four separate 1v1 matches. If someone disconnects, that 1v1 is treated as if it does not exist: You will not gain nor lose rating based on it.
Is it all DCs or is it only like beginning of match DCs? So like first down DC makes sense but what about when someone DCs when being carried to death hook or last survivor at end game? Same on survivors end, what about when killer DCs when survivors are about to open exit gates and they would have escaped?

It's been discussed a lot, but no, it's not something that's planned at the moment. Showing someone's rating or their rating change would push the game in a more competitive direction. While there's nothing wrong with playing competitively, it's not for everyone. Getting hit with a big fat -10 after your match isn't a great feeling, and it would drive casual players to play more competitively to avoid it. Ultimately, that's counterproductive: They just want to play casually, but playing more competitively is only going to make their matches harder.
In pretty much any other game, you don't see your rating in a quickplay mode, and that's because it puts unnecessary focus on that number and stress on maintaining it when it's really just there to give you a roughly even match. In a hypothetical scenario where the queues were split between casual and competitive modes, this would be a much better fit.
That said, if we were comparing a big "You lose" screen to "You lose, but only a little bit", then yes, that would absolutely be better.
In another post you mentioned needing incentive for rank v unranked - if seeing +/- at end would encourage competitive play and with many wanting to see their MMR and +/- wouldn't that be a good incentive for a ranked mode? It wouldn't be something that would force people to play ranked like receiving a reward would do but would be something that'd set those that want to play competitively apart from those playing casually.
-
I think they should remove it. It's unnecessary and just eats up resources that could go towards other important things in the game.
