Wow survivors could dodge before? Okay then if it's something that happened it makes sense, thx for explaining!
They were so salty that they made a program to block killers and dodge them called MLGA .
Some streamers had problems finding games because they played nurse at the time. It got so bad that the Devs had to step in and "ask" the creator to disable it.
Dedicated servers stopped it.
-
Depends what you do.
If you make a gigantic song and dance about it and post everywhere that this character is X everyone cheer!... yeah you are pandering for clicks, likes and retweets.
If it is just added like everyone else and we go on about our day then meh.
They are making a new character with new law that is fine. IF they suddenly changed an existing character that is not fine, that is pandering.
People are touchy about this subject because it has ruined things. if you want an example then look at the comic book industry. We have movies where established characters are being removed and replaced with X gender for the sake of diversity or some movement and they end up failing because of it. (Ghostbusters 2016)
If anything bringing it up constantly like this is hurting it and making people annoyed. Just let it go and let the devs do what they want.

Um yeah, Hag is one of the best killers in the game hands down. Next to Spirit and Nurse, she's one of the most popular killers to play in tournaments.
because tournaments are all about camping and she excels at that.

You do you.

Obviously having friends is toxic. Be a stereotypical loner gamer in your mama's basement playing killer and delight in causing others pain. Repeat to yourself, "Having friends is toxic...having friends is toxic... having friends is toxic..."
Friends are fine. The ones having a laugh and probably know each other irl from the same country.
Strangers from a large group on steam based around dbd and dishing out information in an organised way with clear intentions isn't as easy to justify.
-
It doesn't help that they decided to mow the lawn around every loop with the graphical update.

Definitely the double iri Trapper because you have to be some type of mad lad to play Trapper without a bag addon lol
eh.. i am not after wins just traps.
It is so rare to trap survivors that it isn't really worth spending bp on him because they all just magically know where my traps are.
-
had 3 teams call me scum of the earth for doing this so i was just curious.
-
they made the crap for a reason.
They don't want survivors to cry and have zero imagination.

Given that they think his pallets are stronger than his puddles....no...probably not.
However no he does not need a rework. Hell is is almost fair, the problem is his power is so spammable that anyone can play him at max efficiency because there is not much thought involved- resulting in a kill rate that is high across the board, and too much gen pressure against survivors in a normal fair game.
If you had to think about when to use his power instead of just spamming it at literally every loop, shack, thing you want and then teleporting anytime tinkerer procs- he wouldn't be that bad. His power is ALWAYS up. If they made him have to actually think about his power, not be able to teleport almost all the time, he would be fine.
They don't need to nerf him too awfully much they just need to raise his skill ceiling so he only wins games when he plays well instead of just by spamming his power with no repercussions.
so you want him to have 2 teleports per game with 20 seconds per snare gotcha.
-
killers still have an advantage with a vpn.
Most huntress and deathslingers will probably be using one.
-
No it is quite toxic and will be a good thing when it is deleted from the game.
-
I had pc issues (lost my overclock settings) and this was the only game that would make it crash. I could sit in the lobby with youtube and twitch playing and running a cpu stress test just fine. but the moment i get into the game something will trigger it. the 30 minute ban happened from someone missing a skill check just as i hit a survivor and boom the pc locked up and the game forced closed.
Running on stock settings to lower the ban time and avoid crashes...
-
There is normalised and then there is what happened to the comic book industry.
It's fine if it just happens and in this game it can. It's when it is forced, such as changing already established characters or making a gigantic spectacle of it to get retweets that it becomes dodgy.
I don't care if it does or doesn't happen. i just can't stand when people start demanding it happen regardless of if it fits the theme or genre.
TLOU2 is a good example. It is fine if they are the way that they are, but it was so forced it became cringe.

It's not hard to see why people would be annoyed when they spend hundreds to thousands of hours learning survivor movement only to have it replaced by a much worse and clunkier system.
It would be like learning how to curve on blight / oni / billy, only to have turn speed randomly capped for no reason other than for "visuals". Most players wouldn't be able to use the extra turn speed / better movement in the first place, but I don't see how these people can justify moving to a objectively worse system just because they themselves are bad.
They did cap billys turn..
You use to have a tight 360 now it is capped at 90.

If you can't think to wait half a second when it's already pretty obvious if a survivor is going to try and 360, maybe you aren't as good of a killer as you think.
Also if it is soooo useless then why did so many survivors rage over its removal?

I want to play survivor not killer XD spend more time waiting then playing.

I never understood why people play a game like dbd on a console with a monitor. Why not use a pc
My point was that a small % of playstation users own a ps5. An even smaller % have a tv that can support 120fps with the ps5. It's just not worth it in the near future to waste resources on it.
because a monitor costs $200 while a pc costs 2k
-
because they use it and try to steer the focus away from DH for distance by saying herp derp just bait it out🤪

360s bother me, but not nearly as much as when survivors wibble wobble left and right quickly to make the autoaim bug out. That stuff is rage inducing.
I'm also not looking forward to having to concentrate hard on actually hitting someone either. That's how I've found it to be. Makes playing the game inebriated way more difficult.
I was chainsawing someone on yamoka while they were stuck in a laneway. They did a little wiggle towards a rock and then ran into the wall on the other side. I moved my mouse to where they were but it pulled me the opposite direction into the rocks..
The Devs are full blown lying when they say aim dressing is not aim assist.

If you’re up against a confident survivor, you can use your red stain to bait the survivor into thinking you’re doubling back to the other side of the window and then moonwalking in shack to catch them out.
they still get the vault before you can hit them.
-
bag and darkening addon or survivors never fall into the traps. Especially on reworked maps with the lack of grass around loops and windows....
-
it is bad and will always be bad until they show us what they are going to do with it. So i guess it will suck for the next 3 years until a colour change or extra survivor only status icon is added.

Maaaybe your internet failed?
nope.
I have been a survivor in a game like this. The cheater hovered around the map making the blood splat sound really fast and then just ended the game with a killer dc.
It was only in the first minute of the game and the killer didn't even get a chance to chase anyone. Plus the guy bragged about being banned every second day and just circumventing it.

Generally speaking not if the Gen is completely between you and where the Killer Hooks.
However they may still be able to see your limbs if they're at an angle to you.
(If I'm not worried about BP I usually take Thrilling Tremors instead)
didn't realise that was part of the bbq nerfs. always thought they let go XD
Still doesn't explain everyone always being perfectly hidden though... oh well.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
Distortion, BBQ, Lockers, Gens, and depending on the map, the 48m minimum distance can hamstring you.
so if you are behind the gen you don't need to let go now?
-
@EvilJoshy said:
What map was this match on? If it's something like The Game, that map isn't very wide because it's 2 floors. They could have been within the 48m distance. They could have been behind the gen and you missed them. If your standing at the right angle. It doesn't hide your aura so much as makes it harder to see.
underground complex.
What got me questioning ######### was going on was i was near the north section with the glass etc and they were doing the south east gen on the wall and nothing... they couldn't hide behind it so #########?
-
I legit need to know so i can just hold m1 instead of hiding from bbq as survivor.
-
get a pip as survivor and have fun as killer. sadly this means i never win as killer :{

Play killer?
Killer isn't an npc?
-
Where it belongs.
The idea of that perk is on the level of the flashlight qol update.
-
i wish survivors would just leave.
The amount of times i have gone from a 1 or 2k to a 4k because survivors refuse to leave is stupid and makes kill stats literally useless.
-
whoever i feel like playing. Discovering how gimped trapper is against swf and how much the rework maps nerfed him.

@Huge_Bush said:
Well the upcoming DS and OoO nerfs say otherwise. They may not do what you want to do, but the devs have done okay with balancing the game. I just wish they weren't so slow.
Also, if you don't like how new killer perks get nerfed after a few months, perhaps you should stop buying them and wait until after they're nerfed. Otherwise, they'll keep doing what they're doing.
OoO change is actually a buff. the only people the change is a nerf for is swf that abuse it.
-
did anyone notice bhvr was removed from the load in screen when you start the game up? They did the same to star breeze when they left soooo.
-
you are shocked after seeing what they did to the game?

You can easily get more than 2 or 3 heals out of a medkit. You can get double that comfortably with a ranger medkit and complementary perks and add-ons. I want to say the cap is around 7 full self heals. As killer, you also can't assume that a survivor with a medkit is always healing themself with it, because they're probably getting healed by their teammates too.
Plus, who would risk a ban to download hacks just to have their item last a little bit longer? That makes no sense. If you're going to hack you're looking for some cool new ability (e.g. attack helicopter ghost face), a big in-game advantage (e.g. much increased speed, on-demand instaheals), or both. Otherwise you'd just play the game as normal.
tYpInG LikE tHis doesn't change the fact that there really aren't very many hackers in this game lol
and yet i have seen 3 blatant ones in the past 3 days and there have been groups streaming it on twitch hmmm....

@Ivaldi said:
What? This is a clear case of them thinking they had a little more time. I always attempt to Kobe right before a survivor unhooks me. It's extra points if you do in the survival cat.
you waste their time and deny perks from activating.
-
You ever notice how slow survivors are at the lower ranks?
You ever imitate something you see survivors do against you and still reach that next pallet, but you don't even get close to it?
there are plenty of people cheating in this game.
insert BuT I HAvEn't sEEn a HaCkeR in 400 HoURs comment...
Recently i have started to notice survivors healing more than they should with med kits when the most they should do is 2 or at a stretch 3 heals before being depleted.
-
They get banned all the time but just work around it.
The game needs a custom anti cheat made or at least a better one since EAC clearly does nothing.
-
bugs and literally useless perks or perks they will nerf 3 weeks later after people buy it.

Hello Folks of this community,
this is my first post so please let me know if there are any errors or misatkes in it.
Today I played survior together with two random claudettes who had full legacy outfits, which is pretty rare to see. Both of there steam profiles made me very suspicious about there "legit" legacy, because one of those profiles wasn't even set up yet and the other profile was private but with a vac ban and a game ban. With that in mind I'm like 99% sure both of them were hacking. But unfortunalety there is no evidence that would make this 100% clear.
The questions that comes into my mind now and that could proof the legitimacy of this is: Can you have something like legacy with a steam profile not even set up yet?
Most legacy is hacked these days.
If they are willing to do that then i don't doubt that they loaded someone else's save to get all perks and are probably using other things too.

Not sure if this is just me, but I hate the new Autohaven, Macmillan and Gideon plant map.
In Autohaven and Macmillan, the deadzones are basically the entire map with a few weak pallets thrown in the middle and the space is so open and bare the players can see each other from across the map! Not to mention how boring it is to look at now, it's just a base floor with a few bushes scattered around!
The gideon plant is the opposite! As a killer, you can't go 5 feet in the downstairs before running into a REALLY strong pallet tile! Some of which, you're actually forced to break if you want to continue the chase. The new graphics and details are perfect, but I don't understand why they've changed the pallets! The only new map I actually like are the Crotus penn ones (aside from obvious glitches)
I don't know if this is just me and I need to put up with it but it is very annoying for me and my friends, because when we get on Autohaven and Macmillan it feels like we can't do anything because there's no safety anywhere! I'm only rank 4-5 survivor and 4 killer so I'm not elite at the game and I was wondering why they did these extreme changes to the maps.
so normal jungle gyms with open loopable pallets between them = dead zone now?
-
this is why console killer sucks.
-
I would be satisfied if I could make a play and be rewarded for it.
Right now you only get a hit when survivors stuff up somehow since most loops have safe spots and holes all over them to see what the killer is doing.

Survivors pressing m1 doesnt zone a killer. But nice try. The actual comparison would be survivors being able to use dead hard multiple times in a chase in a pallet heavy map, which, they cant.
People are calling nurse moving, blink spam so.. I would say it is a good comparison.
If a Billy chainsaw "spams" you then that is beneficial to you since the distance you gain each cool down is enough to avoid the next saw or reach safety every time.

If there was any FOV reduction, it was to make all FOV's the same. Which was my point. Billy's FOV isnt smaller compared to any other killer. And Tofu isnt ######### with Billy, there were many issues that have been RESOLVED since. People still avoid the killer because of the issues back then. Same reason why people avoided Nurse for the longest time, because the issues that came right after her nerf were issues that were actually problematic(recovery rates were too slow to compensate for larger maps, they were even too slow to work on maps like The Game). Those issues have been resolved.
Yes, there used to be a fire, but now people find the ashes of the original fire after the house has been refurbished and claim there must still be a fire.
Billy works exactly the same as he used to on high level play. He simply is punished for overusing his rev's. So yes, perhaps you should research the actual patchnotes on changes that have been made, and perhaps actually pick up Billy instead of claiming me to be wrong because Billy during the PTB and early release being bad. That's like saying Twins sucks because she sucked on the PTB(spoiler alert, she doesnt suck).
He literally has all the problems I mentioned earlier. They have not fixed him. He is horrible to play.
I have been playing survivor since the the previous update thanks to quick queue times and did not see a single Billy player.
I literally saw every other killer at least once so there must be a reason for that don't you think?
Fixing his animations will help but he is still artificially held back by the 90 degree turn limit, his STUPID roar that seriously needs to go and the pushed forward camera that is worse than any other killer.
