I understand that bhvr had a task to nerf billy, okay, added overheat, but why make useless addons like these?

Honestly nearly every Killer needs Addon reworks. There are so, so many addons that either:
-Are straight downgrades with no benefit
-Carries a downside that massively outweighs the benefit
-Grants a benefit so minor that it might as well be nothing
-Grants a benefit so situational that it is extremely unlikely it will ever be useful outside of a 1-in-a-million scenario
I especially dont understand the downside ones. I mean, you dont see a Flashlight addon that is "Doesnt blind Killers, just gives you extra BP for shining it at their face", or a Medkit addon that is "Can only heal you up to 25% healing progression, but gives extra BP", or a Toolbox addon that is "reverses repair progress in exchange for giving you extra BP".
they made the crap for a reason.
They don't want survivors to cry and have zero imagination.
Unfortunately his useless addons are one of the 4 things that made billy trash and unplayable.
I think the problem was how powerful Billy’s addons made him
He is already perfectly balanced at the moment( Bar the overheat change after patch) and never needed addons to do extremely well.
Toying with his charge time or movement speed while revving is a very slippery slope that could lead to crack Billys return
Black grease is the only terrible addon he has anyway as mother’s helpers are great with spirit fury enduring and leafy mash is great with muffler
I might be in the minority here but I actually like using Mother's Helpers when playing Hillbilly. The other 2 I completely agree with though, they're awful.
Two of his purples are either useless or detrimental.
This one is actually the WORST at decreasing overheat, as seen in Otzdarva's comparison video here.
This addon is horrible, having Billy become a 110% killer is an absolute nightmare. It's absolutely not worth the drawback.
To think we lost the Tuning Guide and the Thompson's Mix for these is just sad.

If billy is perfectly balanced why no one plays him; lets be a little bit real,he is b tier at best. Bubba is way better now,he is a better billy
I will never understand the mindset of giving killers add ons that basically hurt them in some way, also Bubba has an add on that gives him four charges but has to have an increased charge time even though the speed add ons should only be affected by that.
If a billy can consistently hit curves how is bubba better when he’s a slower hillbilly?
I would buff the Tuned carburetor by making it the only charge time addon but making it so it only takes 1.25 seconds to charge the chainsaw and I would remove the 110% speed downside
Its weird. All killers have one or two good addons, one or two being mediocre at best, the rest just plain trash.
Makes me wonder if there's some kind of trash addon quota the deva need to hit whwn making killers.

Agree, I think he is one of the worse killers right now, regarding add-ons. Basically when u find a "good" add-on he as a somewhat big penalty/disadvantage, why??
Meanwhile there's spirit where every other add-on is boosted or the twins, for example, which is literally the last killer released and none of his add-ons have disadvantages

Instasaw was one of the main reasons why Hillbilly got nerfed. They're not going to bring it back lol.
I mean, the Depth Gauge Rake is actually pretty good for Leatherface. It's an extra 2 seconds of chainsaw time, even more if you throw in a chili addon.

You don't understand, the charge time reduction they're suggesting is the same as instasaw. Just with and without Tinkerer.
Instasaw billy was something very different,billy now is isnt the same so a slight charge buff wont make him instasaw billy
Reducing his Charge Time to 1.25 seconds is literally the same as instasaw.
Mothers helpers and leafy mash have some use. Sure they aren't game changing but they're just a nice addition to the killer which I think add ons should be.
Grease however is absolute trash, that's too situational and doesn't even give that much of a benefit.

Because Leatherface can instadown multiple survivors in one chainsaw flurry whereas Hillbilly stops after downing someone. I've yet to hear a good reason from anyone as to why this difference exists.

Not really,if youre close to a survivor playing leatherface it’s a guaranteed down while with billy you can miss easily
Bo a similar addon wont make him instasaw again if his base power and radius is nerfed. It isn’t the same killer but a weaker version,so giving him a good addon wont make him as powerful as he was

Average to god tier billy is better imo
Ive seen very good billies miss alot of shots. You dont see billy players anymore and thats one of the many reasons. The nerfed his radius so thats harder to hit due to the fast survivor jerk movement. Bubba is a better billy,period
What about mobility? Pretty much all the top tiers have mobility and billy has some of the best in the game. Bubba is simply a 115%

Do you really think the highly productive dev team has time to do that? The billy change nobody asked for is done. Don't await any changes in the next 5 years. There a other killers that need some love too.
