can someone explain this?

I just played a match where nobody showed up on bbq. This is all fine if they are actually doing things to prevent it. but gens on the other side of the map were literally going off during bbq and nobody was showing up.

I thought that if you worked on a gen then bbq would show you to the killer. But if you crouch behind it then it will hide you.

It also never showed anyone running for the save or running away from completed gens. No anti aura perks were equipped. Just bog standard swf perks.

Am i wrong or was this a sus match?

    I legit need to know so i can just hold m1 instead of hiding from bbq as survivor.

    If it was bugged it definitely doesn’t happen every match.

    i had a match with BBQ and could see auras just fine.

    What map was this match on? If it's something like The Game, that map isn't very wide because it's 2 floors. They could have been within the 48m distance. They could have been behind the gen and you missed them. If your standing at the right angle. It doesn't hide your aura so much as makes it harder to see.

    even while working on that gen, you dont have to just crouch behind it. its aura just need to be between you and the killer.

    Also, people dont have to run away, and i think the highlighting of the gen being finished hides your aura just as well if you just walk away.

    What got me questioning ######### was going on was i was near the north section with the glass etc and they were doing the south east gen on the wall and nothing... they couldn't hide behind it so #########?

    Generally speaking not if the Gen is completely between you and where the Killer Hooks.

    However they may still be able to see your limbs if they're at an angle to you.

    (If I'm not worried about BP I usually take Thrilling Tremors instead)

    didn't realise that was part of the bbq nerfs. always thought they let go XD

    Still doesn't explain everyone always being perfectly hidden though... oh well.
