I think in general perkless/addonless/offeringless mode should be a thing
-
So how many matches did you actually play as doctor OP?

That would make them almost worthless though. The ONLY scenario it would be useful for is if someone saved DS for their last hook or there was a bunch of recently sabo'd hooks and none are now nearby.
Kills the point of a Mori.
I think those scenarios is enough, in general I feel perks and addons and offerings are too powerful and skew the balance too much.
More subtle boosts is better.
-
I think Mori's should only work on kill hook and cypress should just be build in.

"You can start the "dissarm trap" animation to let a teammate walk through a trapper's trap and then drop the animation making the trapper get himself caught in it"
really cant believe they actually patched it to be this way.
What ffing sense does that make, you are DISSARMING IT, meaing its still armed, its armed until you dissarmed it, so why the F can anyone walk over it?
Will NoeD stop working as long as im busy destroying the totem? (I know dont give them any ideas) No, its active until its destroyed so what the F is this crap with the traps.
-
said it once, ill say it again, why not make Hex Totems NOT lit up
-
every perk outside of the meta
-
Freddy, back to old freddy
-
Im like at tier 13 or so, it is too much grind yes
-
Auto aim was one of the biggest flaws of old Freddy

Yeah, just like Flip Flop and Boil Over, Iron Will and No Mither...
I have yet to see someone using Tentacity with Unbreakable and not with DS for example.
But well whatever.
Yes, its a risk reward, but I dont see it as a reason for not working with ANY perk at all, (sorry, forgot about Spine Chill, but it does not do much anyway). Hex perks are are risk reward, but there are perks like Haunted Ground and Thrill of the Hunt that exist specifically to protect them. So yeah, having to waste a perk slot to make one perk a BIT more reliable is nothing new for this game and I dont see it as a bad thing, you can use 4 unreliable perks that dont work together at all, or focus on maximizing potential of that 1 perk you want to rely upon, in this case Autodidact.
the only perk auto didact does not work with is Stake Out, which literally works against it.
You can run botany knowledge or Well Make It with it just fine as a back up/filler for if the skill checks dont proc, which is fine if you want that safety net, that is your choice, that is what it is all about, pick the perks you want, boost what you want.
-
play different killers and know that the more you are losing, the lower your rank becomes, meaning you will hit a point where you are winning again.
as far as winning and losing is defined in this game....its quite subjective.
I would also recommened watching some Otzdarva or so, that can remotivate you to play.
-
More drama here then a soap opera

"it inspires just more boring builds where people have to combine perks
to gain the most benefit making the entire customization system pretty much non existent"
What.
First of all, this is how you make and customize builds lol. Second, Autodidact would make you stuck with the basic healing speed, so no 8s heals with We'll Make It anymore. If your Autodidact doesnt proc, you are pretty #########. You get rid of ALL heal speed buffs for the sake of Autodidact, and this is fine, because you couldnt use it with healing buffs anyway.
And no, Autididact is not fine, I have never seen it in a game, and for most players its just a healing speed debuff for the half of the game. Even seeing how skilled players use it, you can see that this perk is completely unreliable, as it does not work well with any survivior perk and relies on skillcheck RNG, that can ONLY be increased by a fricking Unnerving Presence, and thats a Killer perk lmao.
So unless we get a survivior perk that increases skillcheck chance instead of reducing it, Autodidact is not fine.
Tenacity, lets combine that with unbreakable, boring obvious combo.
Thats what I mean as an example, using perks together that are so obvious to run together, it becomes boring, it feels mandatory.
Knock Out and Deerstalker
Nurses Calling and Sloppy Butcher
And again, Auto Didact is a risk/reward, if you dont like the risk, dont use it, no different from Hex Perks for killers.
I personally run Auto Didact like I said before, not even with something obvious like spine chill and its fine, infact its a pretty awesome experience once you are past the negatives and especially when you have your 5 stacks, its just beastly fast.
But to change the perk just because you want to run it but with less of the risk or making the risk more something you can calculate/count on is a bit off, again there are healing perks you can use instead that are reliable if you prefer that, this is a perk that fills the risk/reward category and tits not for everyone.
-
just dont have anxiety yo, ez fix.
But for realz, while this wont help much I always think, it literally does not matter.
You dont go backwards in anything that matters, only rank will suffer and honestly oyu dont even want to be at high ranks so its good and no matter how poorly you do, you get MORE bloodpoints, you never leave them
There is no negative to doing poorly at all, you only gain.
-
yeah no, 1 it inspires just more boring builds where people have to combine perks to gain the most benefit making the entire customization system pretty much non existent.
and 2. honestly auto didact is fine, its another risk reward perk, if you dont want the risk, just run Botany Knowledge, simple set buff to healing, but if you want to run the risk, you could be rewarded with near insta healing upon a skill check and I personally love the option of both and run both on different survivors.

I had a doctor about a hour or two ago made really great use with ruin and distressing. Pretty scary actually lol
right? you can scare people off just using that blast, and if you put them into madness 3 they cant even work on the gens until the snap out, so yeah, not a bad combo.
-
Right so 1 game goes poorly and we should completely revamp the game?
Should we just not include all the 4/3k matches under the same conditions?
Also just looking at this match, look at him instandly just leaving people, that is what cost him the game.
He also said he would refrain from slugging.... I mean... if you choose not to use your options to ermm "win" or do better or whatever, then you should not use this as an example of lack of balance.
Im not saying nothing should be done to slow the game down a tad but this is just all kinds of wrong.
-
Sure, any killer thats ok with chasing survivors of gens will do well with Ruin.
Billy, Nurse, Hag, Demogorgon, Spirit, Doctor, FREDDY, Myers/Ghostface, a LOT of killers can make good use of new ruin.
Plague (puking on gen)

It's used across the board but it isn't good. I don't see the issue.
why would you make something better that is already the most populair perk?
-
@Knots said:
It's actually a trash perk that no killer should or needs to run. You will win more games if you run something else in that slot.
aka people running NoeD are badass and the rest are try hards who need to run better perks in order to win.

@BigTimeGamer said:
its not the fact that it exists that people dislike it, it’s the killer being rewarded for failing their only objective
their only objective is to kill really sooo no, they are doing that just fine

While Michael Myers is lorewise the embodyment of evil, he himself isnt really evil, he is like a robot, apathetic more then anything.
I would say the most evil must be the Doctor, Human experimentation without ethics/limits.
Next to that Clown and Ghostface, both posterboy serial killers.
Of certain killers I dont even understand why the kill, like Wraith.
Or even moreso, Adiris (The Plague) like seriously, read her story and tell me why she is a killer, she looks like a freaking saint.
Plenty of options in her story to make her evil but they never did, to the end devoted to healing people.

I blame Maybelline

I feel like if autodidact worked on self care it would make self care so much better but this would probably be wayyy to op because you could literally get a full heel with one skill check , if this was real it would probably have to be at a reduced rate
yes because we should make the most used survivor perk across the board....better
-
funny thing is, in my experience rank 8 and under are absolute babies anyway, all of them, its insane.
Seriously play a match, and think what ranks you would give hte survivors you played against as killer, im constantly thinking rank 13 or so, but no, they are rank 6, its nuts.
-
Hmmm actually removed removed?
Id rather have reworks, but if that is not an option for this question.
Nurses Calling
DS
-
again, why are you telling us this? what do we have to do with this match of yours....
-
why would it not be?

bro googl stadia right now is suuuuper bad man

Cooler perk in a way, we can't use PGTW to increase the progression while the new ruin perk is up? Ok, I understand you because you're a survivor main.. And yeah you're right majority of the players are not on the forum. Try going to reddit, you'll be surprise there are more active OPs there and you'll see how they attack the incompetence of bhvr devs.. Even Good players like tru3ta1ent even tells his viewers, new ruin is BS..
again, there is your issue, you are thinking in boxes, survivor main, killer main, you think you are part of some large group with all share your believes but the truth is nope, you only see things from your perspective but lack the bigger picture and apperently willingly so.
-
I think with "we" you are kinda making a mistake.
We are not the large playerbase, most players arnt even on these forums.
I think a LOT of survivors are very happy with the change, me included, as killer I never run ruin as survivor im happy its changed.
Its actually a cooler perk now imo.
-
DS as is is just bullcrap and we all know it.
If you hook someone, the doors are opened and they come for the unhook, its all over, the unhooked survivor IF they did not also have BT on top of that, will just take the hit, protecting the other under the guise of being tunneled.
And as killer you cant do anything about it, not a thing, now they are slugged, you wait the timer out? the crawl out the exit.
You pick them up? the DS and run out the exit.
Its just nonsense.
-
I mean, Im giving all my killers (for as far as possible as there arnt enough unique perks) their own set of perks so yah, 1 is running bloodwarden.
-
People heard she was nerfed, at that point it does not matter what has actually been changed, they could have lowered her movement speed by 0.0000000001 meter per hour and people would still not play her anymore.
cuz nerfed, aka totally worst thing in the world now just like the devs.
-
the perk ideas are often not enherently bad, just the execution is, a bit of help here and there and they will be fine.
-
I would say that its Asymetrial is its most defining feature
-
Never used Ruin to begin with so meh
-
Ok? thats a lot of work for such a pointless statement.

ok..... so now what? you are going to ask us to watch some vid?
Idk how it can be of any value with how little we know at this point tbh.
But how about you just type up for us these "inherent flaws"?

With this thinking, you have to focus on 2 survivors and ignore the other 2. Not fun for the survivors being focused/tunneled. Not fun for the survivors being ignored, as they don't get chased. Not fun for the killer as they pretty much have to ignore 2 survivors and actively search for the 2 already hooked.
you dont have to do anything, weird to completely limit yourself in such a way.
Might as well have a bot play for you instead, you just play normal but the desired outcome is 2 die, 2 escape, if you 4k then something is not right.
-
imagine jumping too conclusions
-
ermm no? they expect you to do 6... you are not meant to 4k
