Embarrassing that this has been an active bug for months even after 6.0.0 dropped. Needs to be fixed.
-
The solution is we get rid of tiered perks tbh. No more Ruin I, Ruin II, Ruin III. Just Ruin. This would at least help the bloodweb situation out for awhile.
-
This is true if you think Dead by Daylight is meant to be a balanced competitive game.
The problem is, it's not that. Everything about DBD works against this idea. It has become more balanced with time but even basic systems like progression and item/addon setups work against balance. Moris are the obvious and visible symbol that this game is not meant to be balanced but the unbalanced-ness is pervasive in basically every system.
Give up on this idea. DBD is not that. Give yourself permission to not take this game seriously. It's glorified mario party. The rules are bullshit. It is fun anyway. Still worth playing. You will have more fun once you stop thinking like this.

I have played with a controller for years on PC way way before crossplay and got to rank 1 as killer and all that many times.
KB+M might give you an edge with accuracy killers like Huntress but at the end of the day you don't need it to play well. 99% of killer is map awareness and time management, not twitch reflexes.

wasnt overwatch 2 announced some weeks ago?
Apparently yes. I am shocked they would do that.

Ctfu a "sequel"?? No no haha. Noo. There won't be a Dead By Daylight 2. The game plan for Behavior is to keep this game around as long as possible, continually selling us new cosmetics and trying to add more value to the season subscription thing. The more money people like me have sunk into this game the more dedicated we are likely to be to the game. More than likely, DBD will be up ported to the next gen consoles and we will see another graphics revision wave of some kind, but not a sequel.
This is actually why you see so many people complaining about the state of the game instead of just quitting. Even before cosmetics, we had tons of money invested in DBD not to mention the hundreds of hours spent grinding BP to get the content out of the chapters we bought. We kind of hope devs just listen to what we have to say and fix the glaring issues, we don't want to walk away from an experience we are so heavily invested in. It can feel like BHVR is taking advantage of us when something is a problem and it doesn't get addressed.
People saying that there will be a sequel "for sure" have no idea what is going on with the industry. Look at Fortnite or MOBAs. You think we are gonna get a Fortnite 2? DOTA 3? Overwatch 2 (edit: I guess there is gonna be an Overwatch 2)? No. It is way more cost effective to keep one game updated than it is to redevelop a good game from scratch and also way way way less risky.

If you are the type of player that DCs in situations you deem to be unwinnable, you are the type of player who deserves the penalty. This game is full of bullshit and if you arent along for the ride until the bitter end, you should be penalized.
Honest survs like me who would NEVER DC under any circumstance besides some weird glitch dont care about killers slugging us. In fact, if it makes some goofy DCer mad at the end of the day, I actually support this. Now DCers who dont wanna DC anymore because of the penalty get a little taste of what the rest of the playerbase was going through while they got to DC.
It doesnt take that long to bleed out. This is a non issue. If you cant wait a couple minutes to bleed out dont play surv. Bottom line.
-
At first glance this is dumb but then I remember that killers get a penalty for killing too fast.
So it's at least as dumb as a mechanic we already have.
-
It's not even good.
-
It's actually a trash perk that no killer should or needs to run. You will win more games if you run something else in that slot.
-
I have hundreds of moris saved up and I'm just burnin through em haha. Since ruin got nerf'd, I have gotten enough salt from end game chat to start my own seasoning company.
-
No.
-
Of course it's not lmfao. You decided to stream. That is your problem.
-
Totem outlines should always be visible just like gen outlines, with the active hex totem being a different color.
-
The most ridiculous thing that happens on these forums is BHVR employees responding to the same nonsensical complaints over and over while ignoring serious suggestions.
The "Feedback" forum here is worse than reddit in how often the same crap is retred and the very worst part is how BHVR seems to give the most attention to that crap.
-
They are completely bonkers if they are making all this micro transaction money and not putting it into developing a new property at least partially. That would be extremely bad risk management.
-
I wish I could laugh react your post.
-
I have hundreds of hours sunk into this game as both roles. I am deeply invested in the growth of DBD and I want to see it get better. When it perceivably gets worse it is hard not to feel betrayed a little. Because I've been with BHVR for a long time, I've given them a lot of my money. And a lot of my time.
I don't want to quit, I want them to honor their relationship with their long term player base by making sure they never post really bad changes. Sometimes it can feel like they dont really care, honestly - community leaders spend more time responding to the same 5 really goofy complaints than they do solid suggestions on here.
-
They should make it a normal perk with no hex totem. That's all that's it. That would make the change fine. As it is it's not an effect that is worth having the hex totem vulnerability.
-
It's a really bad perk. If you are a good killer, it won't even activate in 90% of your matches.
-
I know this isn't the reality but I also find it endearing that when I play on Switch it feels like everyone else is bad at the game but me. Rank 1 for either role is totally effortless on Switch. The playerbase is full of new players I think, or maybe it's just that a lot of people are playing in handheld mode.

Thanks for the answer. Well, guess i will play normally but not with winning in mind :/
Basement Bubba is how you farm BP but depip.

1. Bill do not "hijack" unassigned perks - they were always Bill's perks, you just didn't have Bill on your platform so BHVR left them unassigned while he wasn't available to you.
2. I agree with the sentiment. The game would be much more interesting to me if survivors were stuck with some or all of their perks. I think it would solve a lot of game balance issues - even if not immediately, BHVR could start balancing perks around which ones can get used together based on availability to their specific survivor. Lots of perks would need to be buffed or changed to make most survivors viable but in the end it would definitely be for the best.
-
Seems like there would be no consequence to the meta if killers lost their collission with survivors after standing still for 1 minute

It's amazing to me what people complain about. Literally takes like 5 seconds to switch role. Finding things to complain about won't make your experience better.
You don't understand. On console, especially Switch, it's a serious problem. Same with the menu switch for other things, particularly the tome. It's awful.
-
There should be a rule against posting this inane crap. I am so tired of these posts that rehash the same complaints getting more engagement than actual feedback and suggestions.

Maybe Legion should have a domino effect where maybe the 3rd hit in a chase with FF active is actually an insta-down if that person was not the last person you hit and FF ends. So you kinda chase one, then split off to the 2nd, then you go and hit a 3rd person or the other guy again and that one goes down if you pull it off. High risk high reward, makes Legion kind of an eratic play style where the mistakes of one survivor domino into the others.
Just a random idea
-
Ok, survivor.
-
The core game I fell in love with is still there. We are all free to ignore challenges. Relax.
-
I play on the best case platform (PC) and the worst case platform (Nintendo Switch). I have played on xbox and ps4. I primarily play with a controller even on PC but have played extensively with KB+M. I have been to rank 1 on both of my main platforms in both roles.
Guys, the gap is not as big of a deal as you think. Mainly Nurse and Huntress are hit by KB+M. You can still do just as well in chase with a controller as with KBM and I actually find survivor to be easier to play with a controller because camera control is much more intuitive for me.
Behavior should work to get the console releases to consistent framerates but that shouldn't hold them up on enabling cross play. This community should be united. It is literally part of Behavior's design philosophy for this game to keep the community as unsplit as possible. Cross play for all platforms is the right move.
-
Key is not good. It is uselss the entire game until collapse. Survivors who plan on making plays during collapse are planning for things to go badly.
Let them bring their keys, their whole team will die all the more easily.
-
This game is not meant to be balanced where every single match you get is fair and the sooner you come to terms with that the sooner you can have fun playing the game that is actually there.
-
It's not hopeless, OP. Start crawling around looking for hatch.
-
If you can learn to control your exhaustion it's good. I love running around with a "banked" SB with exhaustian down to like 1%. I find that as long as I am doing other things and not in chase constantly I have SB when I need it.
-
It's not OK and afaik the system autobans chronic DCers.
-
You know the nurse can still teleport through walls, right? A good nurse still cannot be looped.
It's gonna be fine.
