  • Survivor sided when it has 20 safe pallets.

  • Because you're literally on the floor bleeding out and slowly dying?

This would just make keys even more dreadful to go against.

Not really. I've been keeping track of my games for the past 60 to 70 games and I'm seeing an average of 2/3s of my games being 4Ks. I thought it was something weird with matchmaking, so I started playing Killer, which I've played far less then survivor, and every match I had was a 4K.

And it's not just me. I'm seeing other people keeping track of their games and they're getting the same numbers as I. There was a Leatherface main that posted just last week, in which every one of his games were either 3Ks or 4Ks. Also spoke with another survivor main that was pretty much seeing the exact same.

Even Ortz, a killer main, admitted in one of streams that him and other streamers don't want the game balanced. And why would you when part of your revenue is from 4k survivors 50+ times in a row.

The average survivor is pretty bad at the game if you think about it. If you go against a very good survivor team, unless you're Nurse/Spirit then you won't get close to a 3k/4k and this is universally accepted.

Just because you 3k/4k in most games against bad survivors doesn't mean the killer role is ''easy'' lol. You can call it easy, but it's still harder than survivor which is just M1 simulator.

Hi, I'm a Killer that is getting 4ks but I want my 4ks to be easier.

Killer is so pathetically easy now that you might as well go against bots at this point.

    Low quality bait smh

  • Gideon Meat Plant is my most hated map now as killer.

It's just 20 safe pallets, no mind games of any kind, extremely safe for the survivors who can do all the gens before they run out of safe pallets.

Unless you have an anti-pallet build, good luck lol

I'Ve always spent them for extra BP but since the twins I save them to buy the dlc's, no way i am giving them money for such bad work

I thought you couldn't buy any new characters with shards anymore? Or at least, they've started to remove the option to?

  • They're taking awhile in nerfing keys. It shouldn't be too hard to just adjust it so the key can't be used for an entire team and only allows the user to escape (I.E hatch immediately closes after they drop in it). Maybe add it so, keys can't drop after death for someone else to pick up (this should be universal for items IMO).

  • This game will never truly die or fall when it has no competition and stands by itself in this genre. There's no other game out there like DBD, so no matter how bad the game becomes, it'll still have some level of success.

As for mori's, I think they're perfect now. They're still somewhat strong and add an aesthetic to the game and doesn't hand the killer a free win.

Keys, should be nerfed to allow only the survivor using it to escape, not the entire team and should also NOT have the key drop at their death hook. If this was the case, the fear of the entire team getting out wouldn't be so massive. As a Killer main, if a key was single use only and no one else could pick it up after the person died with it, I'd be happy.

  • It's no longer the most powerful perk, but it is certainly up there.

For killers, tunnelling is actually the most effective strategy to win the game, as removing a survivor early on is a guaranteed win unless they make a huge mistake(s) later on.

Decisive Strike makes this strategy not possible, or harder to pull off, which is completely nuts if you think about it. It basically means the killer has to win through camping or slugging, which are less effective and have counters as well.

It will stay meta, it just can't be abused now.

And yet again someone shaming people for playing a certain killer. Freddy may be easy but that doesn’t give you the right to call out Freddy mains. Also, he isn’t overpowered at all. Nurse, Spirit, Hag, Oni, Huntress, PH, and Blight are all easily better than him imo.

No.. Freddy is easily top five, even the third strongest killer on some people's list.

He's bloated. He has everything a killer wants for a power and is the easiest to play, hence why they're going to probably nerf him.

The most hilarious thing is that people are perfectly fine when M1 killers are forced to mindgame and guess survivor's movements (while survivors use their 3rd person cam and red light advantage), but go completely nuts when killer gets that kind of advantage and they lose it.

    Survivor's hypocrisy at its finest.

I do kind of agree with this, but at the sane time survivors should still have SOME indication of what the spirit is doing, so it isn't 100% in her control of what happens.

Even if it just told the survivor through a change in music or whatever that she started phasing, it would give survivors something. Just a little bit of a notification would be nice.

Look at Nurse, she's superior to a Spirit but still tells the survivor when she's going to blink, so they can at least try something. Should be the same with Spirit.

  • I'm making a new tier list and putting him S+

That's a pretty big assumption my guy.

DS was nerfed in the way it has been because it allows Survivors to fully heal another Survivor to full (16 seconds), run to a generator, fix it for a good thirty seconds and still have it active for when the Killer comes back. The Killer can be punished for picking them up at 59 seconds despite not having tunnelled them at all, which isn't good design. That's the issue with the Perk.

The ones you highlighted are avoided by the Killer just smacking them down. If the Survivor hops on a generator in your face right after getting off a hook, then it is 100% your fault for not downing them and instead letting them get that full minute of generator progress.

DS does not prevent you from going down. Ignoring them altogether because they can stab you when you pick them up is ridiculous.

The fact that you have no choice but to slug them is the problem.

It's literal invulnerability and you can say "well just slug them lol" but when UB exists, this is pointless, they'll be back up in 20 seconds doing another generator.

Sitting on generators right in front of the killer

Then hit them and don't pick them up? I don't see the problem there. They're only working on it because you're ignoring them.

unhooking right in front of me and shoving it in my face that they're untouchable despite there being absolutely no presence of tunnelling.

Again, just down them. You don't lose anything by letting them bleed for the duration.

I'm fully on board with the DS nerf, don't get me wrong, but it looks like you're complaining about nonissues, and not actually the ones DS provides.

I'm sorry, but you have no idea why DS was even nerfed in the first place if you think this is a ''non-issue''.

  • Are they? Thank GOD, they don't deserve any money for such an underwhelming killer.

  • @jakesotto said:

Corrupt intervention is a must have these days

This. Put this perk on and defend the four generators, which are usually close together, at the start of the match, downing someone if the opportunity comes up.

You need to pressure the survivors, so defend the generators over getting early hooks.

  • If the option is available, sure, but I doubt it will be.

  • @Dabihwow said:

Clown isn't C tier, hes B tier at least

    Nah, Clown is trash.

His only power is making survivors drop pallets early.. which I mean, isn't good enough, almost every killer above him has a way to circumvent loops and a different power on top.

  • @AChaoticKiller said:

Deathslinger isn't A tier imo, he can't beat good teams since he is literally only good for 1v1's.

He can't beat any good team since they will just split gens and finish the game from there. He also lacks a good way to snowball which is often needed to win games against good teams.

It's because his 1v1 is so good he's bottom A tier. You can beat just about defeat any and every killer (but the S tier killers) by just splitting up and working on gens.

  • @Brokenbones said:

    Hmm

IMO Legion isn't D tier. His power might not help him in a chase, but it helps SHORTEN chases by keeping everyone injured and more importantly QUICKLY injured. Experienced (And confident) survivors will forgo healing altogether which makes them easier targets while some survivors will heal and waste time (On top of the mending timers)

A good legion is oppressive as hell to go against.

Mhmm... that just means he's an M1 Killer then, which isn't good. Maybe he could be C, but nothing higher.

  • Like others have said, killers respect unsafe pallets so you won't be able to get the speed burst there.. and when it comes to safe pallets, you don't want to leave them. But then again, if you do leave a safe pallet, by the time the killer breaks it, you're LONG gone.

Strong exhaustion perk, just counter-intuitive to what you want to do with it though and what you should do to play optimally.

  • He's extremely underrated and I'm not sure why? He has a good mobility tool at his disposal which also offers a small slowdown mechanic as survivors are often forced to cleanse it, or give Demogorgon easy map pressure. And even if you cleanse it, experience Demogorgon's ALWAYS leave two portals together, one active so the survivors cleanse it, and one inactive so it cannot be cleansed and still gives the player an option to teleport.

His shred is insane, really. It destroys the killer shack and other loops which aren't entirely circular or small in nature. It can also be a strong tool to zone survivors out of a pallet or area.

He's not played well, IMO, so people sleep on him, easily a B tier killer, maybe A at his best.

  • Honestly, the combination was FAR too strong. If the survivors had bad luck, they would find themselves cleansing all five totems on a map with good totem locations, making them waste SO much time.

It was too good and it's now in a better place. They just need to fix totem placements and make them harder to find, since it's ridiculous to have a totem next to a generator, or in the middle of nowhere clearly visible.

There are games where my ruin stays up, because the totem placements are good, it's sadly just down to RNG how long it will stay up for.

As usual, people confuse "listening" with "obeying orders unquestioningly".

The devs listened, they just disagreed.

It was widely unanimous that he was a weak killer and needed help.

So they nerfed him. It just proves they're stubborn and have no idea how to balance their game.

  • This has to be bait, no one seriously thinks he's anything above D tier.

  • @IronKnight55 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2023374#Comment_2023374

People will play him for fun. Not every killer needs needs to get EZ 4Ks every game.

I'm speaking in general here, but fun for the killer role is part in parcel in performance.

You're going to be having more fun if you feel powerful, if you get kills and down survivors with a competent power.

Once the "new" feeling is gone, no one will play this guy, because just like the Twins, he's garbage.

  • Yeah, they outright nerfed him when the general consensus was he was terrible and a much weaker Plague or Huntress.

But I'm sure they feel good about themselves for the good work they're doing.

  • Sigh, as expected they ignored all the feedback they've had and decided to go the other way and nerf him.

His best add-on and playstyle was to use the ricochet add-on to bounce knives at the survivors feet so you needed less knives to eventually take a health state overall. Even with this, he was considered weak and just an inferior Plague or Huntress.

Yet they took that away and "compromised" by adding an additional mechanic that is extremely high risk low reward.

Not only tunneling but hard camping needs to stop too. Gameplays like this ruin it for survivors... Ive had 3 games in a row today with tunnelers & hard camping and it just ruins the whole game

So does broken maps and all generators getting done in 3 minutes for the killer.

Both sides experience stuff that ruins the game for them.

Honestly I look forward to it but I don’t as well, like the concept of the killer was interesting but then they made him a kpop star and well...eh it went from scary to joke like almost every killer can give anyone a heart attack but him ehhhhhhhhh not likely unless they give him a really cool skin I’m just gonna buy him because I didn’t spend my time grinding blood points to not get the new killer

If you don't think a psychopath chasing after you with knives and a bat is scary, then I don't know what you're expecting at this point.

  • @Mat_Sella said:

You had to of forced DS earlier in the match, if the player goes down in an area that you can still apply pressure to, might as well eat it and ensure they cant use it later while being around to pressure a gen/ remaining survivors in the area.

Of course it's not like this is a fun thing to do and against better survivors this is more unlikely to happen

There's also mori's, rancor, Devour Hope, Blood Warden in your situation. (again, not like this is practical, but still)

    What horrible advice.

If you 'force'' a DS then you lose pressure and there's no reason to do so unless you have another survivor slugged. You just lose if you think taking a DS is a good thing.

Killers have to play "unfair" in 2021 to win, unless they have very strong powers.

    Being really honest

The comunitty NEEDS to complain about things like tunneling camping ds abuse or gens going to fast and body blocking, is annoying and remove the fun of the game

what really needs to happen is to make the devs fuckying stop saying that this toxic things are strategys and fix that things that absolutely NO ONE likes

the game should be supposed to be fun, and to do that survival and killers need to stop aiming the knife to each other

The big problem with dbd is this, killers aprove scummy tatics that killer uses and survivals aprove scummy tatics that survivals

In the end we just create an big imaginary enemy where survs hate killers and killers hate survs because the other side keep ruinning their match with that( accordelly with the devs words ) tatics

At least it is this what i think

I think this is pretty spot on, but the greater evils like camping, tunnelling, slugging, keys or any other monstrosity that the community hates fun will always be present. BHVR are very unlikely to ever change the game to fundamentally delete these styles of gameplay.

    Which is the sad part.

  • @UncleStabby said:

The fact that its 4 on one is pretty unfair in and of itself. Both sides can exploit the rough diamond this game could be to make it completely un-fun for the other side (and even the same side in some cases). Just take it one match at a time, and don't ever go in expecting to 4k.

Well not really. The killer should dominate the survivors in a 1v1 situation, or even 1v3, but when it comes to the 1v4, survivors have equal or even greater power depending on the situation.

It's balanced around the 1v4 fairly well, people just forget that it is and only look at the 1v1 and then since the killer has the advantage which makes the interaction sometimes one-sided, start complaining about it being ''un-fun''.

But what does 'not playing nice' constitute?

Because aside from the SWiFr and DS you mentioned, there's also plenty of complaints about Dead Hard, keys, and even just doing generators. It's actually really hard to tell what killers actually expect from their survivors in terms of 'playing nice'.

Well, generally playing ''nice'' is often doing something that isn't the most efficient way of progressing the game forward. For survivors, this would mean not doing generators whenever the killer isn't pressuring them and deciding to go plunder or cleanse totems when there is no hex's in the game.

For killers, this would mean actively trying to avoid tunnelling, camping, or slugging survivors, or ignoring those who've been given a bad game (e.g back teammates, hooked twice in a row, etc).

It's probably different, but to me, survivors who play ''nice'' would be plundering, breaking totems, doing generators rather slowly, deciding to meme or play a bit friendly to the killer all whilst still somewhat wanting to win the game. But of course, the average match is never like this, its survivors sitting on generators all day and ending the game in under 5 minutes sometimes, which is why people sometimes complain about that.

  • @ALostPuppy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2020667#Comment_2020667

How is it a double standard lol. As survivor you're not allowed to play with friends because that's cheating, don't try and use DS or Unbreakable, don't body-block for your teammates that's not fun and denies a killer a down, don't use dead hard because it corrects mistakes, don't use keys or map offerings, don't save survivors quickly, don't hide from the killer well because that's boring etc.

Oh wait sorry what am I thinking, I should just say "survivor bad!" and move on.

Both sides have equal amounts of entitled BS 'rules' for the other, and both have tactics available to them that aren't fun to go against but have every right to use those tactics to gain an advantage to win.

With exception to playing as a SWF or using DS when the killer isn't tunnelling , there are far less people saying that survivors can't do X Y or Z in comparison to what the average killer player is told.

I call it a double standard, because a lot of people have one rule for the other side, but won't play to that rule themselves. Like I've said, as a killer main I've been told to not play to win, to not slug, camp or tunnel despite the survivors bringing stuff like DS/UB/Object/DH, keys, map offerings, gen rushing, etc.

I'm basically saying, if you expect the other side to play ''nice'' then you need to play nice yourself, except they almost never do, and as a killer main, its usually survivors mains not playing ''nice'' and then expect me to do so.

But yes, overall both sides have BS rules for the other and it can just be summed up with either side being entitled.

  • On occasion, I'll let the remaining survivors farm or play for an extended period of time if someone DC's or kills themselves on hook.

But when it happens almost every other game, I get sick of farming and just want to end the game ASAP to get into another match, which hopefully will be more fair for the survivors.

  • It is a double standard that's quite rampant in the community and an entitlement that needs to stop.

Survivors can do anything they want, gameplay wise or fun wise, but as a Killer, you're not allowed to tunnel, slug, camp, bring certain killers, etc.

It's why I always play to win, which means tunnelling, camping, or slugging unless the survivors are performing poorly or are playing nice so the 10-12 hooks is a realistic option given to me.

If the survivors rush generators, then the killer has every right to rush kills.

  • As a Killer main, I can't wait for it. It's somewhat common for me, as a bubba player, to hook a second survivor, and the guy who was unhooked previously 30 seconds ago just rushes to the hook. Doesn't care that I'm bubba and can down you and the hooked guy.

Pulls the guy off the hook, I down both immediately because I'm bubba. I try to pick both up, get hit by DS twice.

Can't wait so survivors can't do this anymore.

  • I just laugh at a survivor being so desperate for my attention. It doesn't annoy me, in fact, it pleases me knowing they're doing nothing whilst chasing me to get me to chase them.

  • Hot take, but strategies like these are fair. The killer using the strategies to tunnel, camp, or slug, is fair because there is preventative measures and reactionary measures to them.

They're fair, just as is survivors body blocking, doing gens fast, or anything else in their power. The community needs to stop labelling certain actions as "unfair" because it just breeds toxicity.

If you want to talk about unfair, things like Spirit, Nurse, Iri Head Huntress, overpowered perks, broken maps and hit boxes are what would constitute as unfairness, not player playstyle.

  • Quality bait ngl

It isn't common for the game to disconnect if your system is up to the requirements and you have reliable internet connection. I rarely have it disconnect and the same can be said for most those I know who play who's systems and internet meet the minimum requirements.

Granted their are times things go wrong occasionally like the Steam issue the other day but overall it is not common to disconnect. If someone is getting anything over 15 minutes they either don't meet the minimum requirements for the game or they are rage quitting.

In the past week, I've been kicked out of five games with the "You need an Internet connection to access this content" despite very clearly having stable Internet.

The game has its faults and adding a ban for people who get kicked out of no fault of their own, is silly.

  • Nurse, because if she's good I'm helpless.

  • Sadly, this does happen on large maps and you shouldn't blame yourself, it's the game's fault.

HOWEVER, you do have the option to bring perks like corrupt intervention which prevent those scenarios from happen, no wonder its one of the best killer perks right now.
