  • Pretty sure Otz usually makes entertaining videos.

Unless you mean Not Otz, because that guy makes lots of educational content. I don't like that he clearly ripped off Otz's logo though.

Except she is. In fact she’s by far the worst killer in the game on all other platforms. She’s only just decent now on PC.

She's really good on PC if you play her right. On console, she is severely limited by the controller sensitivity and FPS.

  • I think it has to do with hackers being able to see which killer you are in the lobby. To combat this, killers have one killer selected, then swap to another right before the timer runs out.

Doctor is a good "decoy" killer in general because when the hackers see it's Doc they'll tell the other survivors to run Calm Spirit, which against other killers is usually a waste of a perk unless they're running Infectious Fright.

Freddy is also a good decoy for stealth killers because the survivors will likely run Object of Obsession to counter him. However, against a killer like Ghostface that perk only hurts you.

  • Well, iirc when they changed the spirit's post-phase speed it also nerfed wraith unintentionally, and when they tried to fix the silent slug bug they completely broke survivor sounds. I would assume it's not that simple.

She's terrible enough not to bother with anyway. Just another reason to never learn nurse

Idk what you mean, she's one of the best killers in the game. Tired of people saying she's low tier or whatever after the nerf.

Because she's not played correctly, she's high risk hardly any reward.

The reward comes when survivors cleanse, and you'll get little to no survivor cleansing because they know not to.

Ranks 12 through 20 are going to cleanse. Purple and Red ranks know not to. So your Power is completely stripped from you because they're not cleansing.

She needs buffs, and that's my opinion. No need to make this a whole thing.

I don't understand your reasoning. You say she's not played correctly? By anyone? So she needs a buff because no one knows how to play her?

  • I play both, about a third of my games are survivor.

  • Yeah, if she's played correctly. So why does she need a buff then, if you agree that she is devastating when played correctly?

  • I had a dream that DBD had an infection mode where there were a ton of survivors and one killer but each time a survivor was killed they became another killer (I don't remember if they died faster than the usual 3-hook system, I just remember seeing a player list and the amount of killers was increasing). I was being chased by 2 spirits who were alternating their phase walks before I went down. Also, the UI was more similar to Deathgarden than DBD for some reason.

  • I guess you haven't played dark souls

  • The sauce despawns quickly if it's put too close to a gen.

Also, you can just crouch through it to not get affected.

  • I'd put Myers at B tier at least. With Infectious Fright he has amazing snowball potential. And while some of his add-ons are useless, his stalk rate and tier 3 duration add-ons are amazing. Dead rabbit is great too.

We've already had Badham Preschool, although that was technically more like a neighborhood with the school being this few-room building in the middle.

Yeah it's not an actual school. I wanted long hallways and such.

  • Can you not use the report button on the tally screen? I don't think I've ever needed to click on someone's profile to report them.

  • I heard that console achievements can't be changed unless it becomes impossible to achieve, so they probably won't change it if that's true.

The character's charge feels very clunky and almost like a Billy Charge. (lolz). The bear trap has balance issues. Low ranks cannot play through it, high ranks ignore it.

    • Ticking timer from the moment the helmet goes ON. - Pressures players to unhook their team mates fast. VERY OP.
    • Add-ons need a revision.

So you're suggesting that the timer shouldn't be paused while the player is on hook? That's not really fair.

  • @LALYTHIA said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/159918/dcs-should-count-as-3-hooks-for-killers

    Definitely not.

A lot of times people DC because the killer's behavior is insufferable. Under no circumstance should toxic people be unjustly rewarded for making other people's games miserable, which is all this change would promote.

You don't want people to DC, don't play like an #########.

If you don't want players to DC/suicide on hook, don't:

    - Camp

    - Tunnel

    - Slug

    - Play a killer they don't like

    - Mindgame them

    - Down them

    - Play DBD

  • My usual builds are Open Handed/Bond/Kindred/Spine Chill or Autodidact/Empathy/Spine Chill/Inner Strength. You definitely do not have to use meta perks to win.

  • If they listened to feedback, Pyramid Head would be nerfed into the ground.

  • I think the timer should be shortened a lot, but it pauses during a chase. However, they would need to make the chase mechanics less janky.

  • @Buttereye said:

I totally disagree. you would never be able to recover at before the killer was back. would make the perk totally useless in my eyes.

It at least shouldn't increase recovery speed. It's already one of the strongest perks in the game and there's no way to counter situations where a survivor has DS and Unbreakable in the endgame.

    1) You will run out of pallets against a permanent one shot, what is your point? At least now you have to force him to stalk you and don't always need to throw the pallet. Also I never specified the rate at which he gains it passively, but it would be rather slow, such that he would need to stalk at least 50% each time to get it within the time it takes to do a gen.

    2) Then remove one or the other. This is just a suggestion obviously it needs testing. The point is to make it a viable alternative to the current version. Something strong that would have more counter play and balance.

    3) My bad. I meant reduces by 50% not 25% that was a typo. And this is MULTIPLICATIVE, so normally it would be 30 seconds, and with Lock Of Hair it would be 50 seconds (because [60+40]*.5= 50). So at best he gets an extra 20 seconds, but now he has to stalk more/wait longer to get to EW3 and he uses 2 add-ons in the process (where it might be better to go with extra stalk to get EW3 faster).

    4) I'm saying no killer main, especially a Myers main, would agree to changing FTOH unless the new version was inherently better. Do you read how much they complain on these forums?

    5) Rush gens is not counter play. That's literally the game. You should be rushing gens against every killer, that's the optimal way to play. To state this as counter play is like saying the counter play to Iri Head is "don't get hit" or the counter play to Forever Freddy is "never fall asleep". That's not a practical option. The whole problem with FTOH is that you are one shot the entire game. Unlike if you CHOOSE to stay injured against a Legion or Plague, against FTOH you have no choice. There is a reason that no other Exposed effect is infinite, and that's because it's just really dumb. Getting EW3 with FTOH and a stalking add-on is not at all hard. Just focus on stalking until you get it and then you have full control over the game. My friend thought the same as you, I asked him to run FTOH. They had 3 gens left when he got it then got down to 2 as he hooked the guy he was chasing at the time. Once he did, the game MASSIVELY swung in his favor. And he didn't even do a good job getting it as fast as possible, he took some chases/hooks before he got it AND he was playing on Ward, both of which hurt him. But he still walked away with a 4k at 2 gens left because he had an infinite one shot. He changed his mind after that. Infinite one shots with no way to counter it other than "don't get stalked" (which again you can't control other players) is just stupid. PERIOD END OF STORY. It needs to be changed.

With a 50 second duration it's a little less busted, but it's still very strong with the speed bust and lunge increase. I don't think either of those should be added. Your suggestion already has a lot of different effects as is. The speed boost also encourages slugging with Tier 3, which is already insanely strong with Infectious Fright, and the devs probably won't encourage that any further, as we've seen with the post-PTB changes to Oni.

I'd also like to mention that it is impossible to get Tier 3 with FTOH from one survivor. They'll run out of juice before that happens. You would need to fully stalk 2 survivors to get Tier 3 using FTOH, which usually takes a lot of time. If survivors are actually doing gens, they'll get at least 3 done before you hit Tier 3.

I'm not saying that FTOH should never be changed. I really wouldn't care as long as Evil Incarnate is still possible to get, since I rarely use FTOH, but as a Myers main I think your suggestion sounds really overpowered.

  • Because I don't want to answer it. You're exploiting, and I'm not supporting that.

  • @thesuicidefox said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1334933#Comment_1334933

    1) No it wouldn't you'd just have to drop pallets early.

    2) He only gets the movement speed boost if he downs a survivor in EW3.

    3) He doesn't have it all the time. He would have EW3 for 30 seconds.

    4) Killer mains would never give up infinite one shots unless the add-on was actually good.

    5) There is no counter play to FTOH. The counter play is "don't get stalked" but you can't control what your teammates do. So while you might be able to counter play him your teammates might not, therefore it doesn't matter if you can or not. With this change you would actually have agency over when he tiers up ON YOU.

    1) You'll run out of pallets eventually. But he can always have access to tier 3, especially if it passively charges to 95%.

    2) I know he only gets it after a down, but it's already easy to snowball with him using Infectious Fright. The speed boost and increased lunge will make it even stronger.

    3) He would not have tier 3 for 30 seconds. Tier 3 lasts 60 seconds. 75% of that is 45 seconds. With Lock of Hair that's 85 seconds.

    4) Not sure what you're trying to say with this point.

    5) The counter play is rush gens before he can tier up and loop him as if you were injured once he does. He has a large terror radius so you can easily make it to a loop without him sneaking up.

  • Trapper - Add trap capacity to basekit

Wraith - Make him actually invisible when he's far away and cloaked

Billy - Give his chainsaw a cooldown meter and it inflicts deep wounds instead of downing (jk rework some of his addons)

Nurse - Remove blink charges. She already has a cooldown, just make that one longer if you really want to nerf her basekit.

Myers - Make his jewelry and glass addons not useless.

Hag - Make her traps not burn from flashlights. There are other ways to disarm her traps without using a specific item to gut her.

Doctor - Change scrapped tape. No idea why they put that back in the game.

Huntress - Hard limit Iri head to 1 hatchet, ignoring belts

    Leatherface - Rework his addons

Freddy - Rework his slowdown addons. And the useless debuff ones.

Pig - The key is never in the first box you search. When you search a box, it temporarily highlights the remaining boxes in yellow except one, and one of the yellow ones contains the key. That way if you're paying attention, it won't be in the first or last box.

Clown - I'll just keep it short and say fix some of his addons.

Spirit - Make survivor noises nondirectional in spirit world.

    Legion - Fix his addons

    Plague - pass

Ghostface - Stalking only resets if you down them

Demogorgon - Red moss should make his portal travel silent (just the scream, you can still hear him if he's crawling out a portal near you)

Oni - make blood orbs disappear over time (not quickly but at least eventually)

    Deathslinger - Increase his range

  • I just use the perk for auras. A toolbox is better in most situations when it comes to actually saboing.

  • Not sure if we're supposed to encourage using that here, but either way I don't think we should.

What do you mean by I can’t main both sides?. Are you saying I’m not allowed to throw ideas out on a public forum?.

No, I'm saying that, by definition, you cannot "main" both sides.

  • You can't main both sides.

A killer is supposed to feel powerful, so I'd rather not allow survivors to trap them so they can teabag and click their flashlights while the killer is stuck. An organized team would also be able to completely stop a killer from going to a gen on certain maps.

  • But at least there's still counterplay. The main reason Fragrant Tuft is strong is because survivors are often too scared to do anything during Tier 3. But you can still loop it. A movement speed bonus AND an additional lunge increase will make him nearly impossible to loop. And you can pop tier 3 as many times as you want because of the removal of the stalk limit, and it'll be really easy to get it after the first time.

  • As funny as this post is, I do think luck as a stat should be removed entirely. The unhook can stay, but everything else luck based should be reworked.

As for the offerings, they could be reworked too but it might be better to just retire them as we have more than enough junk in our bloodwebs as is.

  • @thesuicidefox said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1334787#Comment_1334787

But it's not infinite. You have a limited time to make use of those buffs.

I'd much rather deal with a stronger FTOH that's not infinite than be one shot the entire game because 1 survivor fed him EW.

With a Lock of Hair it's more than long enough to down 3-4 survivors.

  • @thesuicidefox said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1334711#Comment_1334711

You can already do this though. I've faced several Myers using FTOH and Infectious. It's ridiculous.

The difference now is that you have only about 30 seconds to down the entire team, where before you had the entire game once you got EW3. There would be more room for counter play on the survivor's side.

But with the speed boost and lunge it's so much more powerful.

  • @tixerp said:

Clown pre PTB. Not because he's complex, but because of how bad he is.

That doesn't make him hard to master. It just makes him hard to win with.

  • @thesuicidefox said:

Ghostface's Outdoor Security Camera add-on should be changed so that it reveals all survivors, whether they are in his TR or not.

Iridescent King needs some kind of downside. It's absolute busted that it does literally 4 or 5 add-ons worth of effects. It should both reduce the charge rate of Static Blast and either decrease the size or increase the detonation delay of Shock Therapy. Or maybe it removes Doc's ability to see fake Doc auras. IDK something this add-on is ######### stupid (on top of Doc himself being ######### stupid but I digress).

Pig's Rule Set 2 should also reduce the repair speed of survivors that have a RBT. Something like 6% would be reasonable.

Legion's Fuming Mix Tape should make survivors scream within 24m of a generator when it is damaged and remove the penalty to the power bar when hitting a basic attack.

Myer's Fragrant Tuft Of Hair needs a rework. Infinite one shots is ######### stupid. Instead FTOH should do this:

    • Causes Evil to be gained passively up to 95%.
    • Removes the limit of Evil the can be gained from each survivor.
    • Increase the lunge range during Evil Within 3.
    • Increases movement speed by 5% for 10 seconds after putting a survivor into the dying state with Evil Within 3.
    • Reduces the duration of Evil Within 3 by 25%.

IMO this is way more reasonable and still holds a lot of value for the killer. The fact they get Evil passively and can stalk survivors infinitely means they can just keep getting EW3 over and over, but survivors have some counter play options now. Killer also gets another lunge buff on top of the buff already given in EW3, and they get a speed buff if they down someone so then they can more effectively snowball.

I just really hate this add-on because all it takes is 1 survivor to feed him and now you are one shot the entire game. There is a reason they changed NOED from infinite to 2 minutes, and then to a totem. And there is a reason LITERALLY NO OTHER EXPOSED STATUS LAST FOREVER!!!! Because it's ######### stupid.

Odd Bulb for flashlight should have the consumption penalty removed. This thing is pretty worthless because the boosts to effects is overshadowed by the consumption penalty. Better to use Intense Halogen which is almost as good but no penalty.

Styptic Agent (not an UR but important to mention) needs to be changed. The whole problem with the old Styptic/Syringe was that it was a free hit. Syringe is fine now that it is an passive heal, but Styptic is still a free hit and it's stupid. IMO both add-ons should do the same thing just at different rates. When used they both inflict the Broken status and passively heal you. Remove the ability for perks/add-ons to affect the timers, and have only the add-on consumed not the entire medkit (similar to BNP). Styptic should take 40 seconds, Syring should take 20 seconds. As a survivor these are still super valuable because you can use them then do something else while healing automatically. Basically you can do 2 things at once. But Styptic specifically would no longer be a free hit. That ######### is annoying AF as killer, IDK why they thought it was a good idea. Current Styptic is 1000 times better than current Syringe, and this makes no sense because the former is Very Rare while the latter is Ultra Rare.

You just made FTOH way stronger. Combine it with the Lock of Hair and you'll be able to down the entire team with Infectious Fright.

  • @Xerge said:

I haven't had good results using corrupt on him because it takes me longer to find someone on a gen and reach tier 2.

I usually find someone pretty quickly. But Whispers would definitely make sure you find someone.

  • I use Corrupt on him all the time, so I'd say it's pretty good. I usually use it with M&A, Infectious Fright, and BBQ (for points), but Enduring/Spirit Fury are also good on M1 killers like Myers.

If you want to try alternatives for Devour Hope, I would recommend Infectious Fright. It's mainly useful for those moments where you really need the pressure. With tier 3 and Infectious, you can slow the game to a halt if the survivors aren't careful.

Another option would be Whispers. You'll have an easier time finding the first survivor, and it'll also help you in the late game when there's 1-2 survivors left.

  • Where would it be on Lery's or Gideon?

I'm saying that avoiding the first hit doesn't help much since a good spirit can still pinpoint your location.

Avoid the first hit. She's literally just like Oni and you should play against her the same way. If you're not hurt you'll be at an advantage in chase.

Stridor makes your breathing louder even when you're healthy.

  • What about people who bought this game because they wanted to play as Freddy or Ghostface? I'm lucky that people like my main, but players shouldn't be restricted to playing killers that survivors like going against.

  • It would have to be one totem, unlike haunted ground. Otherwise we would need 6 totems in the map and that would cause some problems.

  • Well if you have a good headset, good ears, and Stridor, survivors can't do much to avoid you.

  • @HP150 said:

Absolutely none of those perks are worth using outside of some niche gimmick builds besides Inner Strength.

The devs excuse is something along the lines of "we don't want to feel pressured to constantly make better and better perks (power creep)". Hey, great in theory. In practice, it makes for a stale meta that lasts for years. And honestly, if I were a survivor main I would feel no motivation to purchase new DLC. For us killers, at least if our perks are ######### we still get a new killer that plays differently from others and (hopefully) is fun. Survivors get nothing besides the perks and I guess a new skin that you have to level up to use (IE, new survivor). Couldn't imagine paying for new survivors knowing you'll never use any of the perks.

Thrilling Tremors and Surge are two of the best slowdown perks in the game for many killers, Nemesis is pretty much required on killers that use PWYF such as Bubba (not to mention it singlehandedly made PWYF viable on many killers), I'm All Ears is amazing on Pyramid Head and is also pretty good on Pig.
