Yea, but it would be nice if we could burn her with a flashlight. It would tone her down a bit when playing solo against her.
Would also be toxic when playing SWF against her. Items countering specific killers is pretty outdated imo, and it's dumb that it gets to do that when it's already one of the strongest items.

Wait he can?! I know spirit is the same way but I never read any lore on that!
Well if we count perks, Hag can do it too. But any killer can use Devour or Rancor, and those perks are tied to the hope the Entity feeds on. Myers, however, is the only killer who is able to Mori survivors with his add-ons, which also allow him to Mori healthy/injured survivors rather than downed survivors.

But a single killer perk tends to be as strong as 4 killer perks. Iron Grasp or Agitation alone can easily beat boil over, flip flop, breakout and saboteur combined, for example.
Doc's addons are very weak version of perks at best. The only thing is that if someone has madness 3 and is downed, you get a free deerstalker, which is a very weak perk.
As for mimicking, Braid mimicks stbfl because for huntress her m2 is her m1 essentially. Even Billy(who I am also quite outspoken about with his insta rev addons), sometimes needs his m1. Huntress never needs her m1 at all. So a significant cooldown on her m2 is essentially a cooldown on her m1.
Those four survivors perks you listed are all pretty crappy anyway.
Doc can get constant tracking, difficult skill checks, aura reading when tiering up, and smaller/bigger terror radius.
The argument that the add-on gives huntress an extra perk doesn't really work. You cannot use STBFL to reduce wind up, nor you use any perk to do that for that matter. It's not a free perk, it's an add-on to her power. The effect is exclusive to her power.

There is a big difference between having a similar effect, and a practical effect that essentially is a replacement for a perk. Freddy is the worst offender to that. Technically Wraith has addons that replace fire up and brutal strenght, but those are cases of very ######### perks that would otherwise be a waste of a perkslot and he can only do so while in a state where he is unable to attack survivors. Having an addon that can replace/compliment a ######### perk is one thing, having addons that do the same to good/great perks are a problem for game balance. Because you'd essentially give a killer 5-6 perk slots that can be filled with good/great perks.
Why do you think Styptic and Syringe got nerfed? Because they were essentially an extra perk. Brand New Part and Toolboxes got massively nerfed because they essentially were an extra perk. All medkits got reduced self healing because they were essentially a better form of selfcare.
The killer's going against 16 perks and 4 items, I'd just like to point that out.
Nurse has add-ons that mimic her perks, except Thana. Doc has all sorts of effects that aren't too different from perks. Myers has Dead Rabbit and aura reading add-ons. That's just to name a few. And how exactly do braids mimic a perk effect? No perk affects hatchet windup. It specifically affects the killer's power which is what add-ons should do.

This is always a strange argument.
Whenever we say SWF are too prevalent, survivors come in and say "but they're not even the majority of the game".
But we say nerf SWF, and suddenly they're enough to kill the game if we even hurt them a little.
Survivors need to make up their hypocritical minds.
Nerf SWF, save the killer community.
I think they are saying that the stereotypical "Toxic 4 man optimal SWF" is a small portion of players, but there are a lot of less organized SWFs not even on comms and usually only 2-3 players.
And I never said that SWF isn't prevalent in the first place. Stop putting words in my mouth.
Giving a debuff to SWF will never work. You can't tell if they're an optimal team or just friends on steam trying to have fun. It's already bad enough that new players who want to play with a red-rank friend is matched up with red rank killers (or at least, that's how the devs would have it work if matchmaking worked in the first place). One of the main draws to this game is SWF, and they're not going to do anything to drive away new players.
-
This has been suggested more times than I can count, but people are thinking about it the wrong way. Nerfing SWF will just kill the game. Instead, we should buff solos by giving them information that SWF already has access to, such as visible teammate loadouts in the lobby, like on Mobile, a totem counter by the gen counter, and chase indicators for all survivors rather than just the obsession.
Edit: I forgot to add that once we have SWF and Solo at a similar level, we can buff the killers to that level.
-
Most killers get add-ons that have effects similar to perks. I'm not sure what you mean by that.

Watch the clip till the end. Nothing happend :(
I edited it right after to say that I think it should be like that. It doesn't actually do that as it is, sadly.
-
EGC should autokill anyone who isn't caught by the animation and force the match to end.
Edit: to clarify, I'm making a suggestion
-
Survivors killing themselves. Doesn't matter which side I'm on, it just ruins the game and robs me of points and emblems.
-
Removing SWF will definitely kill the game. No one actually wants to play solo survivor.
Keys and Moris should be reworked, but not one without the other.
-
I don't play Nurse much but I know Shadowborn is really good on her because it allows you to see better while you're in fatigue. I say swap out Thana for Shadowborn and you'll have a pretty good build.
-
As Killer, Ormond. I can barely see scratch marks or auras there.
As Survivor, idk. I guess Haddonfield's a bit annoying to navigate sometimes.

My main is a toss up of huntress plague
M&A is still good for plague, though not so much for huntress. For huntress you'll definitely want BBQ. So I'd still say Leatherface for sure.

Mister Holdout's unique survivor perk: Lady Killer
Perk description: Your irresistible charm overpowers all female killers. During the trial, if the killer is female, you gain the ability to romance the killer. Only one romance per trial.
Additional Info: Lady Killer is a perk for male survivors only. If more than one male survivor has the perk, then the first survivor to romance the killer gets her all to himself.
If I'm going to be stuck in a trial, then I'm going to have some fun while I'm there. The other survivors can escape while I keep Julie busy.
Or while you keep the Hag busy
-
Leatherface if you don't already have BBQ.
After that, it really depends. Who's your main? If you main Myers, I'd recommend Doctor so you can get Monitor & Abuse. It works nicely with the Dead Rabbit add-on and Infectious Fright.

What is sad is that Survivors HAVE to carry the same build because regardless of the very different Killers abilities and perks, every killer plays the same. The vast majority of killers in this game camp, tunnel, or slug. Not "50%", almost every single match this play style comes into play. Which is why in order to level the playing field against this inevitable game play, that doesn't require a specific killer or perk set to execute, survivors have to bring the same boring ######### perks every time.
You think survivors don't WANT to carry other perks? Sure we do. But we also want to escape or not see our teammates die because a Killer has a hard-on for them. Every time I change out a typical meta perk for something else...something fun that would allow me to change up my play style or try a new tactic...I am made to instantly regret it because inevitably the killer plays exactly as expected and I'm left without a perk to combat it.
Killers have the luxury of being able to add more variety because all killers are different, with different strengths and abilities, before you even add on unique perks. All survivors are the same.
So, sure, it is sad. But you're never gonna stop Killers from camping/tunneling/slugging as long as BHVR continues to reward it...so you're never going to see the majority of survivors gravitate to more unique perks. I have one available perk slot that I change around, depending on how the day is going. Even then, it just rotates between Unbreakable or Kindered. *yay variety* 🙄
The only alleviation of this is when you play SWF, because you don't need 4 of every meta perk. But I play solo. So my build is pretty much locked in to try and give me and my teammates the best chance against the games most unfun and rampant play style.
I usually run Spine Chill, Kindred, Bond, and Open Handed, or sometimes Inner Strength, Autodidact, Spine Chill, and Empathy if I want to be a healer. No BT, no DS, no exhaustion perks. And yet, I still consistently end up in rank 1 without having to sweat nearly as hard as I usually do as killer with meta perks. So no, you definitely do not have to use the same 4 perks to do well.
-
This is why I play scratched mirror Myers.

I like the idea for keys but the problem with the moris is, this would probably lead into the last unhooked survivor to hide very hard. I think in reality this would be very hard to pull off. A solution would be to hide mori offerings completely, or even better show some kind of decoy offering. This would add a nice element of actual surprise. Because they way moris are "hidden" now is a joke.
If they're hiding, they're not doing gens. But yeah, the offerings should actually be hidden.
-
What killers do you play? A killer like trapper or hag works best with a 3-gen strategy. But if someone brings a key, that basically becomes impossible.
If you kill 1 person by the time there's 1 gen remaining, all the setup you did becomes useless if the rest of the survivors find hatch.
If you don't kill anyone, maintaining the 3-gen is extremely difficult.
There's no real way to win here other than tunneling the key users and hoping that a) they are using a weaved ring and b) that their teammates don't rush the gens while you're tunneling one survivor, which is most likely what will happen.
Moris and keys both give you a win for only partially completing your objective. My main frustration, however, is not the user of the key/Mori winning, but the fact that the other side depips and loses out on points because of them.
My suggestion is this:
- Red/Green Moris require you to hook each survivor at least once before using their effects. That way each survivor has a chance to get points and secure a safety pip as long as they're not screwing around.
- Cypress Mori affects anyone who is dead on hook. This includes the last survivor because they technically die on hook regardless of hook state.
- Keys only open hatch for one survivor and close instantly. Purple keys can only open a hatch that has previously been shut (whether automatically or by the killer). This way a single key can't give 3 survivors a win and the killer a fat depip, but the achievement is still possible.
TL;DR Keys and Moris both need reworks

@KingFrost said:

Moris should be fun, rather than give an extreme advantage. And keys already basically require you to get all 5 gens done, unless there's only 2 or 3 survivors left. It'd be one more gen for 3 survivors, two more gens for 2 survivors.
> Unless there's only 2 or 3 survivors left
If you still have 4 survivors, what is stopping you from doing more gens? That argument doesn't make sense to me.

Boring to play as: Hag or Freddy
Boring to play against: Freddy
Frustrating/stressful to play against: Hag, Trapper, and Huntress
Fun to play as: Myers
Fun to play against: Nurse

No, they are bought separately. However, you get some auric cells for free as you play so you can eventually buy licensed characters.

Just make Unbreakable decrease your recovery speed instead of increasing it, and give the speed bonus to No Mither instead. That way there's a trade-off for being able to pick yourself up and Killers might be able to avoid DS.

Most Rank 1 killers 4K lost of their matches. It’s interesting seeing the purple or green killers pretend to be red and lie about how difficult playing red rank killer is. If you managed to get to rank 4 and it now exponentially harder for you, it Means you’re not a red rank killer.m
BHVRs OWN stats say exactly what the OP is saying. red rank killers Destroy survivors on average.
Where did I say I was a red rank killer? I don't play this game that often anymore. I might as well be though, because once you hit green ranks you get nothing but rank 1 survivors anyway.

I am not asking for everything to be baseline. I asked that two perks be considered to become baseline. If Self Care became baseline, it would give rise to the possibility that players would run Botany Knowledge in order to increase healing speed, which would shorten the time teammates would hide in a corner to heal. Or maybe it would encourage them to use perks that would better benefit the team, such as Kindred.
Urban Evasion, while not necessary, would be nice as base kit since I won't have to watch a Claudette inch towards me at a snails pace and let me get to second stage on a hook.
What I suggest wouldn't be game breaking at all. Anyways, the purpose of this thread was for people to come up with ideas other than mine, so thanks for not contributing.
It's not gonna fix anything. A lot more people will hide in the corner and heal, and a lot more people will crouch to the hook. Also, hag nerf? No thanks.

Then, like Deathslingers coin, it would be useless
The coin is useless because the Redeemer has a max range of 18 meters so you only have a 3 meter window to activate it. Huntress hatchets don't have a hard limit on range.
Still, I think a better change would be to hard cap the hatchets at 1 and ignore any add-ons that increase the amount of hatchets.

One face camped survivor won't result in 5 gens popping usually. Even if that's the case, you get 0 altruism and bronze evader at best. I've finished games so fast at red ranks that I Depip.
Again, you're not getting 0 benevolence because one survivor got camped. That's not enough to drop it all the way to 0.

Those points are immediately gone and you go negative after people get hooked and not saved due to face camping.
Just do gens and leave, you'll get enough points. One face-camped survivor isn't enough to put you in the negative.

Your crazy if you think thats balanced, thats already why survivors are being nerfed on gen speeds, too much communication
SWF already gets that information. If solos get it too, we can balance killer with that in mind.
-
I made a thread about this before, so I'll summarize what I put there for the survivor side.
All perks and items should be visible to all survivors in the lobby so you don't have situations where too many people bring inner strength or all 4 people use kindred when you only need 3.
Also, non-obsessions should have smaller entity claws as chase indicators.

Facecamping doesn't make survivors quit playing. They can just DC or play something on their phone. All it does is make you lose points.

Well, if they're adjusting window logic then a bug related to it is pretty much expected. They might have typed a number wrong or something while they were changing it.
