This isn't about keys, though. Keys are also an issue, and we also dislike them, but they aren't moris. We should be able to talk about how bad moris are without talking about how bad keys are. We also don't need to get into a competition about which is worse, they're both just bad.
Keys and moris are legit the same thing they give you free wins so what's the difference? Survivors get free escape and killers are able to kill survivors after they've been hooked at least once.

Dead Hard is not OP, it's the only tool survivors have to counter body blocking scenarios. Since we can't get two exits from the basement, I use Dead Hard for exactly that.
DS may be OP, I'm up for suggestions to make it better, maybe only activates after a harder circumstance is met?
Dead hard is used for looping mostly especially when a player messed up and they need distance.

BBQ is in the minds of every survivor, every game, whether the killer has it or not.
I don't mind the perk in theory but I would suggest a change.
Instead of secretly revealing survivors for a few seconds, have it make the survivors scream, like doctor. This gives the killer locations and disrupts any action the survivors were taking. It also lets the survivors know they have to deal with BBQ. The tiers could simply increase the range of effect and, can be countered by Calm Spirit, (A underused perk, everyone wishes they had during a Doctor match.)
Nothing quite ruins immersion like the killer knowing exactly where you are.
Immersion is what makes my killer games boring. I can't stand going against 4 immersive players who hide everytime they see me coming but won't have a chase or anything. I've had games where I haven't found at least 2 players the whole match. It especially ruins my games as survivor.

Honestly they should be able to. Not sure why it can't be done now, (and IMO the new change to kill all survivors once they're all in struggle phase is a bit disappointing too. There's ensuring the game ends, and then there's speeding it up 'unnaturally').
That's what I'm saying

Ah yes killer mains, everything related to killer is fine and has the perfect amount of counter play - but asking someone to not try and pick up a survivor within 60 seconds of them being unhooked is too hard and too much to ask for.
Also yes Ghostface should lose his stalk, considerIng how he can stalk you while you’re fiddling with the camera for 5 minutes trying to get it to actually reveal him, not to mention how he can pop out from behind a wall and go back repeatedly so that he can get stalk on you but you cant get the full reveal on him. Your progress resets, his doesnt. Feels fair...
I don't agree on this because people use ds most of the time because they know they are safe at times I've had survivors run up to me with ds to save someone I was chasing which is weird because I continued chasing the other person. People just feel safe when using it and tend to play dumb imo. I try not to tunnel or w.e. but survivors just beg to get chased is what I'm saying and even if I wasn't tunneling that person they still have ds🤔 idk this is weird to me.

"no counterplay" is survivor code for "I can't completely negate the killer's power without having to think, therefore the killer is broken". Play more and learn how to go against all of them before you complain more.
Agreed. Only killer I've been having a rough time against is huntress and pyramid head but he's still new and I'm learning. While huntress... I can't tell when they run out of hatchets because they are literally in m1 range and has m1d me before so I assume they have none until they hit me with a hatchet point blank range😔😔😔

Ds is by far the worst perk in the game and any survivor who uses it is just so bad, you shouldn't be able to win because you couldn't loop the killer. Killers shouldn't be punished for actually doing a good job and getting hooks - will it ever be removed or changed?
also any survivor mains who reply to this defending ds your comment is being overlooked I don't associate with negative vibes.
See how dumb that sounds?
Ngl after reading ur comment I thought about like behavior removing ds would it stop killers from tunneling since they don't have to worry about getting rid of the perk maybe? I mean some people would still tunnel but I'm just saying since your comment made me really think about that xD

@Volfawott you really sat and wrote an essay for this one huh, you sound really defensive you deffo slot the perk in with every killer you play. Those other perks are perfectly fine as they still give the survivor a chance, to insta down someone end game when there's barely any pallets left is a joker
A killer can play a game with only 3 perks and have a perk that ensures they win. While survivors have braindead perks as well. Cleanse the bones end of story.

I believe I've mentioned this in other discussion threads, but I have a problem with the challenges. I felt like they were getting too grindy and repetitive for too few fragments. Between the first and second tome I felt like the number of challenges that took too long to complete had grown.
But now they are so. Much. Worse.
Cleanse 8 totems. Repair 12 generators. Safely unhook 15 different survivors. Start a chase with 20 DIFFERENT survivors. Hook the obsession 15 times.
Each of these challenges takes hours to complete. Each one earns...3. Rift fragments.
Even playing perfect games, 20 different survivors means 5 games minimum, with the average match time being 15-20 minutes. And more often than not, you don't get 5 perfect games in a row. So you're probably looking at at least close to 3 hours of playtime. For 1/3 of a rift level.
And bhvr just opened the 4th level for this tome for us to find gems like this one: Destroy generators or pallets 50 times."
For, you guessed it, 3 rift fragments.
Oof. Good f*ing god.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/7R3TYQ1AW9RP/1592867661137179736821158037430.jpg
I've gotten locked into a single challenge for days because I can't complete them. Things like needing to unhook, but the killer either camps or the surv's swf saves them instantly, or they kill themselves on the first hook, etc. With the wrong circumstances, it simply takes too long to complete these things.
I want to do the challenges. It should be fun to work toward rewards, especially now that all other events are gone. But it feels futile, because it takes so long just to grind through a single level; I hardly unlock anything before the rift closes.
Some of the more unique ones that are more skill/situational based can be fun, like staying near the killer without being spotted, or making each survivor scream at least once, or hitting 3 great checks in a match. But there's so few challenges like this, and half of them are locked behind dlc characters many people (myself included) don't own. And what's worse is when these ones are preceded by "Repair a total of 10 generators."
Would love to see the grind on the challenges drop, or the fragment rewards go up, or both. They have become a fun suck when I really want to earn a new cosmetic and I keep trying to complete an objective that takes 12 games.
I'm tired. Would love to hear whether others agree with me or not on this one. Starting to feel like I'm going crazy with some of these challenges.
I wouldn't mind grinding these challenges if I got an actual reward because grinding to finish pass is unfun imo when you get less of the fragments you deserve
-
Lmao ofc you'd bring ######### into this that has nothing to do with it
-
Same I kind of lean more towards female killers :/ I like the cosmetics and stuff.

Doing this is fairly pointless, given the many killers who use these strategies, and will likely get you moderated.
Separate from that, if a freshly unhooked player doesn't bother healing & works on a vital gen, what do you expect me to do? Let them use chivalry as invincibility, walk all over me and win, because otherwise that's tunneling? I'm assuming you're using the broadest sense of these terms given how you seem to feel.
Just the killers who actually chase you off of hook while the person who saved gets on scott free.

If you are aware that offerings are not working... Why are you using them? And why are you asking for compensation when you know that?
This is really the crux of the issue here. At some point, you have to admit it's a little bit your fault for using something you know is bugged. It's almost like insurance fraud, TBH.
I honestly didn't know it was bugged until some random in a lobby brought it up and I had already used a couple of them :/

If you die 10 seconds from being on hook the game is either already over or you killed yourself. Not a good comparison.
I've been playing DBD for years and I've literally never died from bleeding out on the ground without a Survivor at least attempting to save me once. Nor a good comparison.
A good comparison? KEYS. Not only are they a free escape, but they're very luck based. Just like how Ebony is a fee kill.
Both should be nerfed.
Funny story... Last night had two claudetts playing fudging immersive against a nurse and let feng get downed but the thing is she didn't pick up feng she went for one of the clauds so the other one who was swf with same clothing and perks could have got her but she was sitting on a gen near her while I was on the other side of the map doing a gen which is way farther than where she was. I had to run all the way over there just to pick up the slugged feng just for her to get knocked again. Clauds proceeded to 3 gen us because they only know how to stay on gens instead of looping and predicting like me. So when feng and the other claud died I had to myself run myself and get chased to the other side of the map to help claud get the chance to escape and leave the game. It was about a 20 minute game I believe. It was so tilting that players like this do that sometimes and leave people slugged instead of helping.

Obsession gets bonus points for dying as the obsession for no reason. And bonus points for escaping, which makes a bit more sense. But i don't think moris or keys should reward the opposite side, i think they should punish the user. Moris already reduce the number of hooks, and can sometimes force killers to black pip, but a hatch escape is 7000 free points, and escaping at all pushes survival from silver to gold or iridescent regardless of how well they did, which almost guarantees they pip if the game has gone long enough for hatch to spawn. Mori punishment should either be worse or make it on second hook, and hatch should only give like 2000 - 2500 escape points and nothing more to survivors.
Why would killers mori someone 2nd hook when it's a waste of time and they can just hook them again to sacrifice? What's the point of a mori.

That's why the other 3 survivors are doing generators while you hopefully keep a chase for more than 5 seconds
What if there aren't any resources left what do you do then? How can you keep looping them if there isn't any resources🤔

That's still abuseable. Way too abuseable by killers, actually.
I completely disagree with a deactivation if someone else gets hooked.
What's gonnna stop the killer from slugging you, or downing your rescuer within 10 seconds of saving you? Only to hook them, deactivate your DS, then hook you again, all in less than a minute. That's still technically tunnelling.
A survivor shouldn't be punished for other survivors ######### actions such as farming you.
---
A much better solution, in my very honest opinion, is deactivate when you interact with anything at all.
This means, it will deactivate if you: Touch a gen, touch a totem, go in a locker, unhook someone else, touch a gate, touch a hook (sabo), etc.
Because honestly, if you're doing any of the above mentioned, you're probably not being tunnelled.
Otherwise the timer should last indefinitely until you interact.
AND, to make it more fair for killer: During EGC, there WILL be a 20 second timer on DS, no matter what, instead of lasting forever.
But then the killer would just slug and you can't use ds so it's technically a lose lose situation and you'd be better off not running ds at all.

When I hook survivor A, leave, find+chase+down+hook survivor B. Survivor A is saved during all this. Survivor A BT+DS saves Survivor B. I go after Survivor A thinking enough time has passed. I down Survivor A and they still have DS.
That's my issue with the perk. If I hook someone else Survivor A's DS should deactivate because I wasn't tunneling. They came to me. The people who say "The devs never said it was an anti tunnel perk so your arugment is invalid!" That makes it a 2nd chance perk which is even more broken.
I like your idea. You're on to something sir.

He could teleport anywhere on a map as long as it wasnt within so many meters of a survivor or at least not in there sight. He was always popping up behind people.
I like the whole built in mori idea
His basic attacks could break walls and pallets. He does that a lot
He could have built in tracking through audio whispers. Kill kill kill kill....chop chop chop chop
He could also have to grab weapons found in lockers after every hook.
These are off the top of my head and probably pretty bad but im not a developer. I haven't had a year or so to come up with powers.
Point is trapper looks like Jason. He is NOT Jason.
But where is this built in mori idea coming from. I don't see any other killer having a built-in mori unless it's a offering. No it wouldn't be fun if a killer could just go around with a free mori on survivors.

There should be a punishment for this.I've had games where my game would crash due to idk what reason. Usually happens when I end up near the killer. But why should I be punished? Are you sure these people are even ragequitting?
Unless you're talking about people dcing after being knocked or something.

If the killer made it to hatch before it opened, he deserves the kill. You had your chance. Game over.
So she found the hatch. The death animation played after killers 3k. Killer gets 4k because the animation is slow. He finds hatch before it opens but after the survivor found the hatch. What chance did the survivor even have?

See we disagree here, I have no problem spending money for skins in all of the game I truly enjoy playing in the long run, that's mostly LoL for me and DbD you see these companies need to have a steady influx of money coming to keep the "game as a service" running with patch and everything. I think battlepass to some extend help with that plus you are granted reward which far exceeds the 10$ if you were to buy individual skins. I've bought a couple of skin full price (1050 auric cell) and now for 10$ I get more skins than 1000 auric cell would ever get me.
Even if you don't get the whole pass which I probably won't because you know I have to work 😅.

You still have communication and base aura read perk for free in a game balanced around the fact you need to waste a perk or somehow communicate with people nearby you with the 2 emote given to you and your basic hud. just being able to tell someone that ''oh killer chasing me'' make it so 3 other people know they are completly safe to do anything. Any one could just grab OoO and have the potential to ruin a killer game with no effort. Sure, you wont be giving killer position the best way you could at any time like tryhard SWF, but you can just be with friend who play casually, who aren't god looper and say to them things like ''Yo were facing trapper and he putting traps around shack'' Grats, you could not ever use it for the rest of the match, you have effectively made the killer power way less strong and now that trapper has probably lost 2 or 3 gen to do a set up that probably will be useless, just cause people will avoid that side of the map. You're Relly far from being a tryhard SWF who told their friend every trap location + telling them when it safe or not to go disable them. You just told your friend ''yo avoid/be carefull around killer shack'' and that relly impactfull for the killer.
Honestly who cares. Idk why killers are so focused on who's swf anyways just play the game. If I get ran by players on comms cool. I still get 2 or 3k because of my skill.

Thats not quite fair to say. The game didnt have SWF at the start because it wasnt intended. Then they added it and, yeah. In a game.like this it absolutley destroys balance. Its like have OoO without the killer seeing you while having extra wallhacks, forcing the killer to run terror radius enlarging perks all the while so many people in this community look at it and go " UuGhH SWF iS tOtAlLy FiNe, KiLlErS jUsT wAnT 4KEZ gIt GuD bBy KiLlEr."
TL;DR it isnt about winning or losing, its about being forced into a game where you literally can't do anything except get t-bagged and insulted cuz killer.

You can tell night and day comm survs swf vs non comm swf.
Honestly swf wouldn't be so bad if they did what a few games did and block third party comms. But... im speaking for console. And no the phone argument is bull rap. I can't picture 4 lames on speaker phone with each other playing dbd and even if... im sure that would rarely happen.

They nerfed swf a bit, made maps smaller, and nerfed gens speeds. If you think the update didn't help at all idk what to tell you. Either you're not applying much pressure as killer or you're up against way more skilled players. I switched from pc back to console because my pc is ######### atm just to see the update and it seems fine to me. I get 4ks most of my games and like 4 2ks I think? Sorry mate, I don't know what you're on about. Its like this every time an nerf/buff comes around, so I don't see how its worse at all. There are bugs that need to be fixed sure, but it is far from the death knell for the game. I believe the player count is even rising, but I could be wrong on that. The amount of people playing is going to drop when we are out of quarantine, but that's to be expected for every game.
A lot of threads about aa I play on low settings and it's ruining my fps and it's making my games blurry. We need options to disable it. Turning on aa didn't even fix the bloodstain problem devs were talking about. Making it unplayable for people who play with low settings.

If gets rid of jagged edges. For example if you ever played a game on PS2, or GTA V you’ll notice things like telephone wires etc aren’t straight lines they are really jaggy.
AA clears that up but some types of AA are a bit crap and tend to just leave the image looking blurry, FXAA is a type of AA that is known for this. It sounds like DBD has this issue at the moment.
Sucks for low end pcs like mine :/
