It is an empty win and ruins the game for everyone.
-
I know, but they can't benefit from it nearly as much anymore. Before you would have to leave and they could heal or do a gen while still having it active, now if they do anything it will deactivate the perk. It is annoying how they can still jump in a locker, but I believe that it will be much less powerful and is now a true anti-tunnel perk.
-
Yes, it can no longer be used in a SWF to call out the killer's location and actions, but it is not totally useless either.
-
If the survivor vaults a window but they are vaulting into your husk, they will lose collision with it. The husk will block a survivor who tries to run through it.
-
That DS is fine and """perfectly balanced"""

Solidarity feels like the only helpful perk for autodidact.

Pretty sure in her lore she sabotaged traps to deliberately kill people participating in the "games". Hence, the tampered timer addon.

Hahaha very efficient.
I mean you are guaranteed to get a BL proc :)
-
I didn't know you could play as a sacrificial hook
-
Even better than the tree, the shack stairs.
-
A few could use some tweaks but here are a few of mine:
- Boil over: Your struggling effects on the killer are increased by 75%. The killer will not be able to see the closest hook aura to them.
- Visionary + deja vu: Visionary loses the weird cooldown and both perks gain the ability to determine the progress of the generator shown by looking at the intensity of their aura
- Hangman's Trick: See the aura of survivors within 8 meters
- Forced penance: Hitting a survivor taking a protection hit will inflict the broken status effect for 60/70/80 seconds. When a survivor who has taken a protection hit leaves your terror radius, you will see their aura for 5 seconds
Not mine. idr who said this but they said lightweight should disable the killer from seeing their scratch marks past 32 meters.

I don't think she should have any indication of where she is in phasing other than what's already there which is footsteps when close to you and grass moving.
having a good read on her location makes her incredibly weak against good survivors this would make her weak. at the least it shouldn't be 1 second it should be like twice that if that even gets considered.
just look back to her ptb or the recent bug that made her constantly audible she was weak because survivors had too much info on her in her power.
The footsteps thing is pretty hard to hear, even with clear sound and good headphones. By the time you hear it she will already have unphased and hit you. It is also hard to hear that when there is chase music blasting in your ears as well. Most players can't really react to this and when she uses speed addons you have even less time to react if any.
That recent bug she had, I would have kept in the game because it at least helped a little.

There is no way you can balance RNG though, it is best to set a fixed about of time searching boxes and a certain amount of them instead of leaving it up to random chance.

you literally can't actually, but I am not complaining since it takes real skill to wreck survivors

All of these perks are pretty good in design actually, except NOED.

Before I even bought the game, I loaded my brain with information with killer guides on how to play each one and the general strategy, for survivor the same thing.
After about over a year and a half I discovered Otzdarva (Not Otzdarva), Scott Jund, and Noob3 (I discovered him first before the others). Hybridpanda, Ohtofu, and coconut RTS more recently. I especially liked watching Otz because he actually explains most of his actions whch is very helpful when learning killer. His guides also help. My favorite videos from him are the killer addons explained. That really long video is so helpful for me because I need to know all the little details of killers and what their addons do.
I discovered the game through Markiplier (sort of) and my friend who wanted me to get it. I thought it looked cool and then I got it about a month later. I didn't regret my purchase. However, I have like no one to play with and haven't played with my friends because a lot of them just forgot about it, and the one friend who wanted me to get it just doesn't play it as much. It took me about 800 hours to git gud at both killer and survivor and I had to learn it all by myself since everyone stopped playing it with me all the time. I used to play with my brothers, but they also got really bored of the game. I have friends who stream and I play with them, but they only ever play SWF's when they do stream and it isn't that common for them to. That is why I have been thinking of streaming myself, so I can help out people get better at the game while having loads of fun. I already do it on the forums which I joined a couple of months ago. So to sum it up, I learned by myself for the most part by watching Otzdarva's videos and streams along with a bunch of other guides, but it was a slow start.
I have played since mid 2017 so for 4+ years now, just before Freddy and Pig came in. I think I just became good because I love this game quite a bit. Although it makes me want to bang my toe against something, intentionally.

I don't think it is because of SWF. The main problems are map design, killer power design (weak or strong killers), and perk design (DS or DH).
The reason SWF is able to win more often than not is because yes, they do have a constant stream of information on the killer, but they are able to capitalize on that by simply looping the killer around a strong tile while everyone does gens. Some killers can keep up with this better than others (billy, nurse, huntress, etc) and others can't (Wraith, Clown, Myers, etc). This is because of the design of maps and killer power design.
A killer like billy can do well in a chase with good perks helping him to end that chase and immediately speed on over to the next survivor after hooking them. However, even on certain maps such as lerys he will suffer just like the other killers.
And then you have perks, both strong and useless ones. Take DS for example, it literally discourages the killer from tunneling a survivor without even needing to be there if someone is an obsession.
This on top of the fact that a good SWF can callout just about everything just makes things much more difficult.
-
I think this should also go through. The fact that he can shoot survivors without giving them the chance to react is a bit unfair. Just give survivors some sort of signal.
However, he needs a buff in something else. He is already a decent killer at best.
-
soo uhh... did it hit close to home?

Yeah, man. Then it became an LOL button (or was there already an LOL button? whatever, for a while there were just two buttons, Upvote and LOL) and people used that as a replacement for Downvote, so now it's just Upvote.
Man, it would be good to see all the bait posts be downvoted.

You don't need CI, but it does help. If you are good at placing traps, you can afford to run a build without slowdown perks. It is a matter of preference. If you want to run CI then chances are survivors will end up being pushed towards you and trigger your traps before you are done placing them.
If you don't run CI and focus entirely on trap placements, you will most likely lose generators in the process. However if you place the traps correctly, the survivors will have a really tough time playing against you. Same thing for trapper (kinda, he is the weaker trap kill because of the weakness and counterable ability).

Exactly lol

It was actually pretty good against ruin + undying, I tried it out. Otherwise, unless the killer has pop there is no point to the perk other than protecting a gen 99%'d.
-
I like Otzdarva but not Otzdarva, he is kind of a copycat.

It says gen rushing and i don't think you would be writing this if you look at previous updates where it states they already slowed down gen speeds, great skill checks etc but i don't think it was enough. Needs more speed.
What? I thought you said that gens need to take more time to complete and now you are saying they need to speed them up? I would like to see some of your gameplay to see if it is just you playing poorly (Which is fine for a new killer player) or if it is actually just generator speeds.
-
Bet that this guy still has about 100 hours of experience on survivor lol.
Not all bubbas are bad either.

That’s not how they should nerf him. Make the alarm clock spawn closest instead of farthest
A survivor would never stay asleep then, or at least not be able to go to sleep often which would nerf freddy so incredibly hard.
-
The fact that he can shoot me instantly and give me nothing to counter it. He can shoot you faster than you can react, but that is it.
He is kind of like spirit in a way because he doesn't give information to survivors as when he is about to use his power. Now obviously, he does but what is the point if by the time you see him aim he has already pressed m1 to shoot you?
If this was changed I would have no problem with him.
-
Visionary and deja vu - I would allow the people running it to also see the progress of the generators by determining the intensity of their auras.
Lightweight - (I am pretty sure someone else said this on the forums, not my idea) The killer can't see scratch marks when further than 32 meters away.
-
I dislike him more than spirit because of the insta-shoot with no warning, similar to spirit he doesn't give survivors information on when he uses his power. And yes, I know he holds up his gun, but what is the point if he can shoot faster than you can react?
-
I don't run it just because I don't like it as much as SB. I think that SB is objectively better actually, DH can be good in getting distance for sure, but SB does that better.

Like I said above, that idea is stupid. If a killer hooks someone as the survivor with DS is pulled off then DS allows killers to tunnel. Go find another survivor if you fear DS.
This is what I read and responded to. What you said is not even tunneling. If a killer has hooked someone and goes after anyone else, it is not tunneling.

Or....if you were a good killer and applied a ton of pressure and the survivors are busy doing things other than gens you could just, ya know, eat the DS.
Really? Because a good killer should be able to get enough pressure to just eat the DS so early on all the time right? This can also be on multiple survivors.
-
@Orionbash said:

You can slug them. If they have the other perks they'll get back up but they're not working on that generator in that time.
That is still pretty lame. If you can't hook them, then you slug them but then they can just get up anyway. Even if it happens once on a single survivor. They don't always use unbreakable, but it is still pretty common.
They also love to jump in a locker... at that point I HAVE to leave them to work on a gen in say like shack.

Sooo if a killer hooks someone else, it allows the killer to "tunnel" the previously hooked survivor? That isn't tunneling.
-
I am being honest here and this is a fact, but the game is survivor sided atm. It used to be worse, but it is in a pretty good state.
-
@Orionbash said:
Don't tunnel. Don't slug. Don't use hex perks. There. Nerfed all three perks and made them completely useless leaving the survivor with only one other perk.
Yeah, let me just let the survivor on hook work on a generator for a full minute just because they are running a perk.

That is like saying survivors should be banned for only doing generators and not rescuing survivors. A lame thing, but not ban worthy.
