Great tips, I would imagine that learning his movement would have to be the most difficult challenge, kind of like with Nurse's blinks.
Does he run until you collide with something or cancel it when you activate his rush? As in, can I traverse the entire map with 1 Rush if I don't hit anything in the way??
Thanks for the video recommendation I will try to find it ^^
Here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vyuTmnd825A&t=26s&ab_channel=ScottJund
His rushes last for a few seconds (3 I think) and can stop earlier once you "slam" into an object, during which you have 1.25 seconds to readjust your next rush or stop. You can traverse idk about 64-sh meters at base with all of the blight's rushes, fantastic mobility.
-
I think good information to know how to play blight is to randomly practice your movement first, and then learn the obstacles you can and can't bounce off of.
I am probably going to make a separate thread on this so more people can understand this, but I see a lot of new blight players playing so rigid when using his rushes, as if they were a hillbilly.
So when joining a game, learn how to move with his rushes by just moving your mouse or moving with your controller to see how blight turns. Just get a good feel for him.
I would also recommend watching Scott Jund's guide on youtube to learn some very important advice.
His best perk is BBQ since he can literally zoom on over to survivors better than any killer.

MandyTalk is looking into to see if we can get a response from the devs. Right now we just have to sit tight.

I don't think it would be some big deal the fact that they wouldn't be unique, they maybe could modify something of the cages, but this would make the game more fair in general.
It would completely change the game though. A survivor with WMI could heal a hooked survivor before the killer even gets back. It wouldn't be more fair because it would nerf all killers. The game is already heavily survivor-sided, this would break it. And what if the killer has to resort to camping? They could literally do nothing in some situations.
-
His power really only needs just two little tweaks along with an addon pass. A lot of his addons are pretty worthless and I made up a whole list of changes to them in a post before to at least make them somewhat useful.
My addon pass for Oni: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/232398/refining-the-oni-and-his-addons#latest
-
That would allow other survivors to go for an incredibly easy save and the killer would get little pressure from hooking survivors. It would also make pyramid head's ability to cage survivors no longer unique.

Strode house is only broken when you have multiple balanced landings , Also Honestly he was playing the strode house really bad, the survivor was dropping off before the huntress even vaulted the window he literally could've just doubled back down the stairs and the guy would've ran right into him or been forced to leave the loop and find safety which would've resulted in a down for the killer fairly quick , also trapper and hag can deal with strode pretty well
I think otherwise. It is still incredibly powerful and coconut over here only did it to prove how stupid it was. Any survivor who runs the house decently (better than the guy in the video) will run you around for a while. And on top of it all, that is just one house. You have another two story houses that you can run to and probably have several safe pallets on your way there, and then you have the basement of doom. Hag can deal with it, but trapper probably not. He can close up a few loops but his traps can still be disabled and there are too many loops he cant do much about (assuming he uses all of his traps), and while he sets up traps gens are being done elsewhere.
-
I think people are overreacting to this. He cannot swing fully around the average T and L walls with one swing to hit a survivor. He can get a good head start in a short chase around them, but survivor who keeps their eye on him and is quick can easily avoid a hit and move on to the next tile.
-
At least put effort into a lie.
-
Sooo give survivors a busted mechanic to punish killers for doing their only objective?

He's anything but "just Wraith" nowadays. Before he only gained 11% movement speed while cloaking, so it was usually only feasible to do this mid-chase if you were quite a bit behind the survivor you were chasing and/or if you were running Windstorm. As a result, he was pretty easy to loop and toothless in the chase. Now he gains 35% movement speed while cloaking. He's so fast while cloaked that he will nearly always recloak after landing a hit and just chase you down. He can break a pallet and have made up the distance you gained from the pallet break in 5 seconds. He's fast enough to bodyblock pallets and windows with some ease and especially with a coxcombed clapper he can milk his speed boost mid-chase for some really easy hits.
You should struggle to secure a 4k if the survivors play very well lol. If both sides play very well it should be closer to a 2k average with a fair number of hooks. Obviously matchmaking isn't based on skill yet, but still. I've found Wraith too easy to 4k with, which is exactly how I felt when playing him before with purple Windstorm + Clapper. Now Wraith is a good bit stronger with just a Clapper than he was before with purple Windstorm + Clapper (slightly faster cloaked speed, better stealth from true invisibility + quieter snarl/footsteps).
I think that is just because of matchmaking. I know for sure that most of the survivors I play against just aren't too good of players. I don't think it is because Wraith was overbuffed, but rather because of terrible or nonexistent mmr.

I do not agree with this idea.
I recently had a match where I saw a survivor get a key, which means killing survivors would cause me to lose the game. I needed to slug everyone. Obviously, they got annoyed, but that's the fault of bad game design, not mine.
Unbreakable exists for a reason, and survivors can have coms to coordinate pick ups, and even competent solos can do it.
Slugging, at most, will last 4 minutes, which is annoying but not the worst. Just make it so that if all 4 survivors are slugged, and there's no survivor left up to pick people up, after a few seconds they get an option to bleed out faster. The longer they hold that option, the faster it goes until they die.
That way killers don't get to slug everyone just to grief, survivors don't get to just kill themselves because they feel like it, and you don't give survivors a way to just get up for free because they're getting outplayed.
Slugging is absolutely necessary in some matches, and sometimes you do have to slug 3 people at once to defend a position.
True, 4 minutes is not even that bad. It is boring, and annoying yes but we don't need a new mechanic to fix something because it is unfun.

Ok I have to disagree with "Imagine this with Trickster or any 110% killer" the 110 killers are actually better than a lot of 115 on haddonfield cause of how strong their powers are except for Trickster but he will always get a hit it just takes a ######### ton of time.
Only spirit and nurse can deal with haddonfield. Clearly in the video even coconut can't do anything, and he is a pretty good huntress main.
-
This is the same for even a 115% killer, this map is literally garbage. I have no mercy for anyone who uses an offering for it, and will usually roast them if they die afterwards somehow. How do you die on a map where everything works in your favor?

Don't get me wrong, I would absolutely love it if the cosmetics you could unlock were intricate, totally sick, free, lore related, and tied to in-game accomplishments. And eventually that's something I would like to see.
But charms are much more versatile (does not need to be Killers specifically, could be perks as well, devotion, etc.), and require far less work (1 charm type for all Killers rather than 23 Killer cosmetic variants), resulting in being able to dig your teeth into things much sooner and keeping interest while/if they work on those fancier options.

It'd be cool to see more exclusives. Although if so, they should actually be exclusive and not have a messed up save system. Every exclusive I owned (except Deathgarden exclusives) has either been given away or lost due to a faulty save file system.
Like I said, I don't think it should be totally exclusive, just really hard to get such as the legacy skins back in the day and without a time restriction.

The spirit
I choose her over the twins because the twins at least still has counterplay and some interaction, spirit has nothing really.

Awww, look guys. He even struggled in one game to get the 4k...
This is the problem, the game should be balanced around two kills and two escapes, that's even, that's a draw.
Killers are so obsessed to get 4k, that BHVR basically needs to buff every Killer into Meta land or people will cry and won't play him.
Bruh all I said was that I struggled to get a 4k. I always try to go for them and if I don't, then no biggie. This makes me seem like one of those "entitled killer mains" when I am not, and I am not obsessed with 4ks. Is it wrong to always try and kill as many survivors as you can?
And yeah people cry about certain killers being weak, why wouldn't they? Why would people play a weak killer like Trapper if they are always struggling to secure any kills?
-
@dbd4life said:
its cool and all but you got to make the rewards based on challenges which will be viable for all but only the best would be able to gather them. that in case if it will ever happen, and since its free i dont think is worth for bhvr investment into it unless there is a way that they can benefit from it.
a good deal would be once a month a 3 day challenges appear for everybody to gain exclusive items while there would be a fee for that 3 days entrance, that would be neat and bhvr would get rewarded for their work as well.
They would benefit from this, it would bring back old players keep their current playerbase because people would actually always have something to invest their time on this game.
I don't think there should be time-limited exclusive cosmetics, remember the strife that was caused by the DwightCrow? They should be able to be earned at any time by anyone without any restrictions.

So in some games you have to play harder to secure the 4k and you think he’s not op? What do you want? Easy 4k every game?
lmao no of course not, why would you say something so short-sighted? I literally said that he is not OP and you will still struggle against survivors playing well just as you would before.
-
Gonna have to disagree with that. He is still just Wraith, he is still countered the same ways as before. He is definitely still easily beaten by healing up when you can, proper positioning, using pallets, and decently strong windows.
I have been playing Wraith lately especially after his buffs, and there are games where I really struggled to secure a 4k because the survivors played very well.

Is it really that hard to just click m1?

A "good portion" of the game? Did we play the same game? Lady D was criminally underused for how hyped up she was before the game's release and didn't get nearly enough development.
(Tbh the entire game felt like that - a mess of different ideas that worked fine on their own but altogether it felt scrambled and rushed. Still a fun game tho.)
lol sorry, I have only really seen about the first 3 hours of gameplay out of like 12 I think. I forgot how quick she was killed off.
-
Main reasons: She has counters and interactions between survivors
Spirit? No counter, and little interaction between the survivors and the killer.
Nurse? Loads of interactions with the survivors, has counterplay, and is fun to play against for some people.
But no, BHVR nerfed freddy.

Yeah, like what would happen if The Entity favored a certain character. For example, maybe Deathslinger could have Bayshore's head hanging from somewhere on his belt?
I don't know about the entity favoring anyone especially, but Bayshore's head hanging as a charm would be pretty dope honestly, that is definitely a good idea.

Wdym, new or surprising? That applies to every RE killer, they appear in their own games. If Mr. X or Nemesis comes in, they literally have 2 games where they appear in. But I guess they can go with other RE characters, although I don't think they will go with a RE 7 or another character from another game
I want something unexpected, not something that has already been seen. Lady Dimitrescu just wouldn't really interest me as much as something completely unexpected would.
-
Like 2 months ago a few games, that's it.
-
If the ever so robust lady Dimitrescu herself made it into the game, I would honestly be disappointed.
She has already been seen in another game, she has a whole game where she is present for a good portion of it. It wouldn't feel new or surprising.
And like I have already said (and the same goes for every boss or other iconic character from any RE game), you would take this godlike being and allow them to be stopped by blocks of wood. It would totally undermine their level of power. I mean have you seen RE 8 yet? I don't want to spoil it, but you can definitely see what I mean when I say "godlike" or at least a mass monstrosity. That is the most notable reason lady D will not be in this game because BHVR knows that.
The reason demogorgon fits better is because he at least can be dealt with like in stranger things, although it was only Eleven who took him down, but still. Demo dog still fits in better than any RE boss.

Maybe something along the lines of a "Entity Blessed" skin? (Not Legacy)
What I mean by that is maybe a skin that reflects what would happen if the character you're playing as was given a boon by The Entity? Like, they could have something they always wanted in their lore and be covered by The Entity's claws? I might have to think about this more, but you get the point right?
I think so, to have entity themed cosmetics right? Regardless, just anything would work.

I also think if you put X amount of hours into a specific killer, you should unlock like a golden skin of them or something like that.
Something exactly like that but the gold should be replaced with something else. Gold is too common in games and just doesn't feel special most of the time.

@Tsulan said:
Uhh no. I don´t agree at all.
2 or 3 gens gone by the time the killer gets his first hook isn´t on the killer for not pressuring survivors enough. After 5 years, the game is still balanced around new players that regularly miss skill checks, hide in corners, drop the pallet to early/late and don´t know how to run in circles.
Even streamers like Otz or Scott Jund can lose 3 gens before they get their first hook. Those players aren´t exactly over commiting or wasting time. So please don´t try to shame/blame the killer here. Because the balance is at fault.
This is not always the case. And yeah I know it isn't always the killer's fault (I guess I should have made this all more clear) that generators are done so quickly sometimes due to just terrible map design and balance.
I am still right about most of this. As the match goes on, the killer becomes stronger and there are less pallets and fewer generators. This makes it much easier to pressure survivors off of generators because they start to stack up on them. However this can deviate through 3 main things which include map design, killer balance, and the survivors (SWF or solo). If you are Legion against a solo team on coal tower, you are probably going to do pretty well if you know what you are doing. If you are someone like Clown on the game against a 4 man SWF you might as well sit and pretend you're a statue because you sure aren't getting any kills this game.
I am not shaming people for generators being done literally out of their control. I am saying that in the average game even if you are playing well do not panic if you cannot stop the generators from being done because you can still pull through but sometimes you lose generators due to your own mistakes.
-

I agree that she should be reworked, but maybe far along in the future. There are more pressing concerns at the moment and good nurse players are few and far in between.
-
I don't really like the flip flop change, in fact I just don't like perks similar to it.
It allows survivors to have a good chance of being self-sufficient, and that is unhealthy for the game. Even though it is limited to safe rescues, it could still happen with multiple survivors and be stacked with break out.

So let me get this right.
Basically what you're saying is that when spirit stops mid chase you just keep running?
Don't get me wrong here, but if everyone plays like that than I'm not surprised people complain about her.
Sorry but if she stops mid chase (especially in the open) you react to her.
And if you have a bit of distance from her, which you always have at some point, you can hear her phase sound.
It's not as loud as when you're out of her TR but you can hear it none the less.
You don't hear it when you're close to hear, that's why you don't work on a gen in hear TR for example.
But sure mindgaming isn't a counter, you keep telling yourself that.
You use that more than you think against other killers than you think.
Apparently than I have, according to you, only played against bad spirits.
Yes when someone plays spirit a lot than your survival possibilities will decrease.
But that goes for every single killer.
If i play as wraith than your survival possibility will decrease than when i play as for example as pig.
People who say spirit has no counters are either people who follow the mass and yell whatever they do without trying to play and try to find it for themselves, or are just not so good as they think or just what easy games.
But again, sure apparently I only play against bad spirits then 🤷♂️
No, I do not play like that, and neither does everyone.
Well if you start walking when she stops mid chase, she can still hear you breathing and hear your footsteps as well, so it won't really do anything and you will still get hit. If she stops mid chase, you react to that and nothing else. So ok, she stopped mid chase and she is probably phasing, but you do not know her exact location and exactly when she started to phase. Some spirits might stop for a second to see what direction you run in, or what you start to do when they see you phase. But it doesn't matter, she has cues to find you during her phase, you are given nothing to figure out where she is.
If I hear her phase sound when she is going after me, what does that do for me exactly? All I would know is that she is phasing for sure, but I still don't have anything worthwhile to not get hit other than guess what she will do.
Yeah, let me just fake going this way and walk back- nvm she can hear me breathing and my footsteps.
All you are doing against her is making educated guesses, and the spirit player making a mistake is not counterplay.
People who say she has no counterplay may be following the masses, but they are still right in this case.
