Op knows Bubba can handle anything in the game 😏

  • I'm not going to talk about NOED but the argument "in exchange for NOED power I play with 3 perks most of the game".

That argument is quite simply bad. There are MANY perks that may not come into play some of which provide little to no benefits.

Unrelenting: If you don't miss you will be playing with 3 perks yet IF it comes into play it will still have little to no impact. Just to name a sample.

  • Dedicated Servers were pretty much like banning me. It was entirely unplayable for me as killer (delay on my chainsaw) and survivor. Survivor was a complete joke. Killers (visually) started their lunge from the middle of jungle gyms and it connected even though I hugged the corner and stood next to the locker outside the jungle gym when my character would suddenly scream and be injured.

I immediately stopped playing after a couple killer and survivor games. If they had not disabled the servers I would have uninstalled the game after 4000 hours.

That's how bad they were for me.

Is this guy really complain when he got an average of 2-3 kills per game? Rank means crap in this game. just because someone is Rank 1 doesn't mean they are actually good.

This. Besides OP may be a green rank killer but actually is gonna reach devotion 6 soon. Meanwhile there's tons of new players since the Ruin rework some of which hit red ranks with less than 1 week of playtime.

Devotion 6 vs red rank who bought the game 1 week ago. Who wins?

    Ur trolling or Ur cheating

Or ur playing a different game because theres no way your faster then the game mechanics.

No way can you play like that in red ranks without some serious luck of all 4 players running into you to derank.

If all 4 players dont move. I'm talking AKF you still cant get time.

    On-hit Sprint 2 s6.0 m/s

    Successful attack cooldown 2.5 seconds.

So a single hit can cover 12m on boost and another 4 before your cooldown is done 16m distance.

A 4.6 killer would have to run in a straight line to overtake the speed for 10 seconds starting after the cooldown. You have to do that for each survivor for a 4k. They can litterally blow 50 seconds by just running after your first hit.

Except there's no such thing as a second hit when I'm playing Bubba and everyone fails to loop and spawns together.

  • Are you on PC?

    Oh good now it's a 1 to 3 minute game ?

Physically impossible without them literally all running to meet you in the basement no chase all grabs

I think you have no idea how long 1-3 minutes are. If 2 survivors mess around the game can end in as quick as 38 seconds.

1-3 (or an average of 2) minutes for a 4k is nothing special if survivors mess up at the start of the game which you would know if you had a little more than a few days of playtime.

If you are really bad at the game however obviously EVERY survivor will seem like a looping god.

  • @emptyCups said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1133371#Comment_1133371

A 4K in two is a staged match no matter what you post. 10 seconds is the fastest you can reach the spawn on a small map.

2 hits if they never run from you 25 seconds

Move to a hook 30 seconds

Another survivor stands behind him grab. Bring to hook 45 seconds

Another survivor stands behind drag to hook 1 minute

4th survivor grabbed at hook no chase 85 seconds

Now at this point each of them have to give up all struggles or its literally impossible.

A match like this at all is hard to speed run if you have stationary targets for 2 minutes in kill ur freinds.. if anyone runs at all or if you get hits instead of grabs you cant have a 2minute game.

You cannot in any shape or form naturally have a 2 minute 4k games.

    Staged or throwing

I recommend you be kinder in life.

I sure must have a lot of talented actors work for me then as I have multiple 1-3 minute 4ks on my YT some of which contain post game screens to verify ranks. Also I refuse to be kind towards players that barely touched the game yet demand nerfs for survivors when literally everything got nerfed already including things not even killers asked for (vault angle nerf).

When I started playing killer I had to deal with more pallets, more windows, fast vaults from any angle, pallet vacuums, real instaheals, real brand new parts, real decisive strike, exhaustion recovery WHILE SPRINTING, faster healing and I played without Ruin OR NOED and STILL won more often than I lost.

And here we have NEW players demanding nerfs for survivors when the devs nerfed literally the entire survivor gameplay to a point where it's basically just boring to play KILLER.

Therefore all I say is the typical "get good". Killer gameplay is blunt and easy these days.

Wow. So, instead of arguing the points, discussing the issues, or (God forbid) apologizing for telling a new player to quit, you start posting stats.

4ks in 2 minutes? You know what? I'm impressed. Potato survivors like that are rare.

The reason most killers of this forum struggle is quite simply lack of skill. Easily 99% of all survivors can be downed in a few seconds yet half this forum acts like everyone was a 5 gen looper. I don't support bad killers who want the devs to balance around 4ks without skills. Either get better at the game or don't expect to 4k. Simple as.

  • @Oberon said:

Survivor main detected... You could provide constructive feedback instead of insulting a new player, you know. Or do you want DBD to die out?

They're obviously new to the game and haven't figured out how to apply the minor amount of pressure that killers have available against coordinated teams. They likely won't be able to learn until ranks are fixed. Encouraging them not to play the game is a terrible response.

I can post 2 minute 4ks at red ranks what about you?

  • @Craazzy said:

I just got this game a week ago because it looked fun. I figured being the killer was just hard at first due to having to level up. But the more I play I can definitely tell the survivors have a huge advantage. Gens done in 10 sec or less (4 complete within the first 2 minutes of the game), instant sabotage on hooks, the Scooby Doo chases you can't win, 5 sec full healing...it's ridiculous. Plus being ranked 17 or 18 and matched up against 6's and 10's with all purple perks when my killer is at level 10. Makes for a seriously aggravating time. This game is broken and definitely not fun as the killer which should be the best part imo. I'll stick to COD unless this POS makes it out of the trash it's currently in.

Please stick to COD. Playing killer is easier than it has ever been. 1-2 minute 4ks are nothing special these days considering most red ranks have as much playtime in the game as... Well... You.

Or simple solution...dont be toxic in the first place. Karma is a real #########.

Again: Working with the killer to kill another survivor is a bannable offense. You can not justify it based on something you consider toxic. Besides some killers don't even care about flashlight clicking or tbagging.

  • @Spectre13 said:

Survivors by far the most toxic. I'm 50/50 and almost always see tbagging and flashlight clicking and pointing. Like seriously I'll happily lead the killer to the toxic ones on my team in exchange for the hatch. The only time I really see a toxic killer is almost always Ghostface because some 12 year old little fucktard thinks it's cute to down and/or hook and then proceed to tbag for like a full minute.

If you literally work with the killer to kill another survivor (which is a bannable offense) then you're no better than a "tbagger/flashlight clicker"

  • There's no such thing as toxic survivors/killers - just toxic players. People that try to get under your skin will do their best to ruin your gaming experience regardless of whether they click on "play as survivor" or "play as killer".

  • @JoeyBob said:

Was playing Leatherface and face camped the first person I hooked with chainsaw revved and insidious. Got a down from a survivor the tried to unhook and left her slugged. Another survivor tried to heal the slugged guy right beside me and I downed them as well. Then a gen popped and I slugged the last guy.

I left them slugged and let them bleed out without hooking anyone.

I will continue to play like this in protest until gen speeds are fixed.

So where is the guarantee again that you will NOT play like this when gen speed is increased?

EDIT: Quick gen repair is the only way to counter a killer who facecamps first hook. If the devs increased gen times people would still facecamp first hook. Therefore you can cry and protest all you want. Gen speed is not going to change unless the devs also change camp/tunnel/slug mechanics.

  • @ApeOfMazor said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1129176#Comment_1129176

It makes perfect sense. You are saying we need these perks to counter these activities when we dont. You just need to play better and use the available pallets and loops to prevent getting caught.

But yes if you do get caught its no surprise you are camped/tunneled because its an effective way to get rid of someone.

No it makes no sense. I replied to your "killers/tunnel/slug camp because gen times" statement. I said people will always camp/tunnel/slug even if gen times were increased by 9999% because some do it as they enjoy it. Therefore telling me "don't get caught" makes no sense as I merely mentioned that many killers camp/tunnel/slug anyways and not just because of gen speed.

  • @ApeOfMazor said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1129165#Comment_1129165

Pallets and looping so you dont end up there in the first place.

Your reply literally makes no sense context wise...

Person A (op) complains about being camped/tunneled/slugged.

Person B (you) says "blame the devs for not nerfing gen speed and survivor perks"

Person C (me) says "some killers will tunnel/camp/slug even if survivors had no perks and 9999% increased gen times"

Person B reacts "just learn how to loop so you don't get camped/tunneled/slugged"

  • @ApeOfMazor said:

Camping and tunneling is fine. Blame the devs for not nerfing survivor perks or fixing gen time.

Even if the devs removed all survivors perks and increased gen times by 9999999% people will still camp/tunnel/slug. Some killers quite simply enjoy camping/tunneling/slugging so the game has to be balanced around being able to win against these tactics. Simple as.

  • Just run Unbreakable, Tenacity, Empathy, Bond etc. Easy counter. Or message another survivor where you are slugged. Another easy counter. Or play SWF with voice com. Another easy counter.

  • It's not just XBOX. Watch some streams right now see how many PC red rank survivors don't even know about BBQ and hide in a corner till the killer hits them.

Pipping/ranking up is quite simply too easy on either side. There are red rank players with less than 5 days of playtime.

  • I like how no one even knows what op is referring to haha. It was a meme build that made people run into traps on purpose thus resulting in the easiest 4k imaginable. It's pretty much like facecamping an empty hook as Bubba waiting for someone to unhook the nonexistant survivor.

I even stated a counter point even if that was the case. This conversation is derailing from the main point of the discussion and I'm not going to let it turn into a you vs me thread. You missed your opportunity to provide substantial evidence for your point, this conversation is over.

I just went through your profile and I can't find these supposed constant post of your red rank games, so don't give me this kind of comment. The closes I saw was a 2 minuet clip where the survivors DC'd. Maybe I missed it because you seem to be very active on the forums, in which case please give me a directory to all these post you supposedly made for a whole year.

You even asked for buffs to Bubba among other things, if killer is so easy then this wouldn't be necessary.

Lets take it a step further and say sure, maybe you're the 1% of people who have no problem because you live and breath this game, that doesn't mean we should shaft the other 99% of people especially when survivors definitely don't get that sort of treatment are seem to be balanced around potatoes. If killers are to be expected to play like the 1% so should survivors.

I rarely played survivor, but when I did I escaped most of the time with no sweat of my back unless it was a top tier killer who had a brain or unless my teammates were extremely bad.

"Hey the gen times are a little ridiculous by the time I can get 1 hook because of poor map design 3 gens pop and this shouldn't be the norm, even getting the 2k is a little out of hand sometimes if I'm not playing top tiers or the survivors are not potatoes."

Survivor mains: "OMG killers just want easy 4K" " I'm actually a killer main I get 4k every game with Bubba no add-ons or perks"

On a side note, if they camp you just do gens for free and get an easy 3 escape, I have no idea how you're all going to get killed with all the time wasted by camping just 1 person. If this becomes a problem with longer gen times just increase the bleedout time on hook so camping still gets easy escapes.

Also I'm a survivor main I escape every game with no perks or items. /s

Except I've been posting red rank Bubba games for about a year now so don't give me that kind of comment.

EDIT: Where are your red rank killer games again?

Care to explain? Just look at the vid man, 1st round only, if you learn to quick scope damn... I'd really like to hear your opinion. The Huntress needs to wind up the axe, this is an insta shot

    2:00 - 2:17

    - Zarina gets stuck on the crates

    - Ash -despite previously injured- camped one of the strongest pallets on the map and got downed instead of running away when he could.

    - Zarina didn't run away when Ash got downed

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1125673#Comment_1125673

Killers will not be happy until the 4k is guaranteed. With everything complained about on here, survivors should have no perks, no items, no terrain to hide behind, no hatch, and doing a gen should require five, uninterrupted minutes of repair or it resets to zero. Hell, why should survivors even be allowed to run? Just disable the function. No running. Just walk onto my hooks please.

    Pretty much this.

I've been a red rank killer for years now (as Bubba btw) and even I realize what I did was not supposed to be normal. I 4k'd pretty much all the time before the Ruin nerf. Even now I 4k more often than not. And other killers really want survivors to get further nerfed even though the devs have made it clear a 4k is NOT the expected result of an average game. If anything they need to adjust the pipping/ranking system to let certain people understand you're doing good when getting 2 kills with many chases/multiple hooks (spread across all survivors)/good gen defense etc.

Right now killers just want a 4k even if they 1-hook them one by one -which by the way- is the reason the devs CAN NOT TOUCH GEN TIMES.

I've been playing lots of (solo) survivor games lately (rank 1 as well) and what I have noticed so far is most killers are REALLY bad at the game. Like seriously bad... So bad I am surprised they made it to red ranks. Yet all of them think they're great enough to deserve a 4k judging by certain salty post game messages. I think I'll post a sample of a rank 1 Huntress later on who couldn't hit ANY of the survivors with a hatchet including me and rage quit after a few minutes/after a few gens got fixed. That's not survivors being op. That's the killer being bad.

Not to mention there's the other type of killer that straight up facecamps first hook considering it "fun" (there even is a thread named facecamping as Bubba is fun) expecting everyone else to stand around for two minutes doing nothing. Had one of those games yesterday. A noed-Bubba who facecamped right at the start of the game. Obviously I just fixed gens while he was facecamping allowing two of us to escape (2 minutes is not enough to fix 5 gens by the way. Only reason two of us escaped was the other solo Nea looped the facecamper successfully AND got downed by noed on the other side of the map otherwise it would have been a cheap 3k or 4k even though that Bubba couldn't use the chainsaw AT ALL)

If the devs "fixed the early game" or "increased the gen times" these killers would 4k EVERY GAME.

Long story short: People -especially killers- need to learn to play for fun and not sweat for the 4k and the ranking/pipping system needs to go along and reward killers for multi-hooking (different) survivors, defending generators, chasing a lot etc. even if the result is a 2k at the end.

A good 2k (with lots of chases and hooks) is better than a 4k with 1-hook-kills.

  • So you tried to play mori games 7 times in a row?

Xbox is back to P2P as the dedicated servers were trash and caused high ping for everyone apparently. I didn't have any issues with the new servers really and have had two awful games with terrible lag by the killers playing at McDonald's or something.

I had a killer start messing with their internet at 2 gens left yesterday making me literally freeze for multiple seconds everytime a chase started. I was kinda mad as I ALWAYS check the ping and ping stability before readying up so the killer obviously started messing with their connection when we were about to win.

However my experience with dedicated servers were actually so bad I'm willing to lose to lagswitchers once in a while as dedicated servers made it so I would get hit from MILES away (visually) every game making it completely impossible to loop and predict ANYTHING. You drop the pallet - you get hit. You do not drop the pallet and hug the corner instead - you still get hit. Dodging hits was completely impossible, too. Don't even get me started on window vaults.

As killer I noticed some delay on my power as well allowing survivors to vault windows/pallets in time which was kind of aggravating as well.

I hope they make it so no one gets connected to 100+ ping servers when they bring back the dedicated servers. I want to win/lose because of decisions - not because the dedicated servers connected hits when they shouldn't have and vice versa.

No, the problem is not him having a hard time that was the expected result of the build. Yet you ignore the part where the survivors throw the game completely because all they do is make mistake after mistake but have no trouble to recover from it.

Why should survivors have no chance to recover from mistakes especially when it's 4 of them obviously resulting in more overall mistakes compared to killer gameplay?

  • @PyroGL said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1122052#Comment_1122052

Does the flow of the match and the events that occurred during the trial matter at all? Or is it just the results that are looked at by the dev team? Yes, Otz ended the match with a 4k double pip. Why did that happen? Was it because Bubba is an ultra strong killer with OP perks and addons? Or was it because the survivors continuously threw themselves at the one on the hook? Is that how survivor play is supposed to occur? If not, then why were they able to get a near total reset?

No doubt the community and the devs both want to keep interesting and clutch plays in the game, but how many mistakes were afforded to the survivor team during the course of that match? How many are typically afforded to killers playing against typical red rank survivor teams? This, coupled with the time crunch killers are under, is where the imbalance in DBD lies.

One last question to ponder; do you think Otz felt good about that match or frustrated, despite the results?

Counterquestion: Was Otz supposed to have an easy time using the worst addons and worst perks on one of the "weakest killers" in the game? Was he supposed to have a blast despite the fact the survivors ran meta perks?

This video basically shows survivor perks don't matter. You can play one of the weaker killers (yes Bubba is my favourite killer and I've been maining him since day 1 of his release but that doesn't change the fact he's easily countered) and run the worst possible addons/perks and still 4k/2pip.

  • 4k double pip using Bubba with his worst addons and worst perk build in the world = survivors op pls nerf

  • Oooh oops yeah you're right I keep mixing these two up for some reason. I meant Ben Stiller. I just looked it up as well after posting my comment. Sasquatch was potrayed by John C. Reilly btw in case someone wondered.

  • He had multiple toles I think. I believe he potrayed Sasquatch and the guy who worked in the music store.

  • Unbreakable: A one time use perk that rarely comes into play unless the killer slugs excessively and even then it won't necessarily turn the tables unless the killer messes up a lot in which case the killer didn't deserve to 4k in the first place. The most fair one time use perk in the game imo. Can be countered by picking up survivors instead of trying to slug the whole team.

  • The few days with dedicated servers were unplayable for me as killer and survivor.

  • @ABannedCat said:

    Dedicated servers.

They screw me over when playing killer, they screw me over when playing survivors. They are nothing but a frustration, and inferior to the previous peer-to-peer system in any way.

    +1

They were enabled for a day or two on XBOX One. Made me wanna uninstall.

Even with a green ping I felt a delay using my power allowing survivors to reach windows/pallets and as survivor I got hit from MILES away (visually on my screen. I know it looks different from killer's pov but that doesn't make the gameplay less #########).

Right now XBOX is back to peer to peer and everything works great again. I recon I will just move to another game for good when they enable the servers again. DBD is not playable with dedicated servers as it's a distance based game like no other game in the world. Every inch counts during a chase so you can't have a client be a few meters next to said client's actual hitbox. It's not skill based gameplay when the dedicated servers decide whether a hit (visually) connects from miles away or not.

With the red stain you can mind game the survivors but on the other hand if they see it they know where you are and what your doing by taking it away when your chasing a survivor and get to a loop i.e jungle gym that's where it becomes a challenge as they can't see your stain so they have to guess what your doing and the same for the killer they have to work out what he survivor will do. Even the shack with out the red stain the survivors can't tell what your doing so they have to make the best choice for the loop and same with the killer.

That's how removing the red stain will make it more off a challenge on both sides as you won't know what the other person is doing making loops more fun and more off a challenge.

As you said it would turn the game into a guessing fest with no skill involved which would drive away most people in the long run.

  • The red stain is a core element of the game as it allows survivors to react during a chase as soon as you're going through tiles such as jungle gyms or double walls.

Yes, I've said that in multiple comments, you might be missreading me, I'm not complaining on being face camped, I'm advicing killers to break chases without having remorse about it. As an example, I narrated 5 games I had yesterday, a SWF with BT is always gonna win a stand out against a camper at the EGC

I know. That's why I said "even if you had died". My comment was directed towqrds those that say "take the L". First of all you didn't die and secondly it wouldn't have been a loss as it's team survivor vs team killer and not 1 vs 1 even though some killers seem to think so especially those that are too stubborn to break a chase.

Chasing only 1 person allows said person to loop every pallet on the map. Breaking chases results in quick downs as pallets will be gone and people will end up in deadzones as no one knows what pallets are gone after a short period of time. That's something killers need to learn/understand.

  • Even "if" you had died you'd have still won the game. It's team survivor vs team killer which some people seem to forget. If 1 survivor loops the killer for multiple gens allowing everyone else to escape that survivor clearly dominated and 3 man escape is a win for team survivor. Also that survivor is more likely to pip than a killer facecamping 1 single person.

  • Same here. I live near the Frankfurter server (germany) yet I typically get connected to moon servers. Generally I've noticed there's only 3 different pings for me.

    205 +/- (that's the ping I see the most)

130-155 (just as unplayable as the 200+ping. Lots of teleporting)

and 40+/- (Frankfurter server) which I rarely ever get connected to.

Why can't we manually pick the server we want?

Perhaps that means we're getting crossplay sooner than expected lol.

  • "meeting a hacker in dead by daylight - on PS4! (legacy, speedhack, wallhack...)"

  • Some PC hackers actually found a way to play against console players. There's a clip of some PS4 survivors facing a flying, speed hacking legacy Trapper that went through walls while carrying a survivor. I'm not sure whether I'm allowed to post it, though. It's on YouTube anyways.
